as far as local communications anyway. Most of the repeaters that were around back in the early days are gone or you have changed ownership. Some of the big ones are still around but you know there's there's quite a bit of stuff going on on HF and on you know people using hotspots. All-Star Link is getting more popularity here. There's now several Link systems in the area so it's not dead but man comparing it to New York City and people you know I've seen even 12 years ago when I first moved to New York things were way more active there on VHF and UHF and they are now and you know there were there were times before that people said you couldn't you know at any time a day didn't matter when it was you couldn't find a time when there wasn't at least one conversation going on repeater, simplex whatever it was kind of like that here when I got my license but it's active
