So he taught me how to use a slide rule when I was like seven. But we bought his first calculator, which was basically a four function. I think it had square root and a couple of other little things on it. Nothing fancy. It was over $100 back in the 70s. I remember he used to check all his answers with his slide rule to make sure that calculator was correct. Which, you know, at the time I didn't think any other. Now I could chuckle because it's like he was checking the calculator. But he would have loved micro-computers. So he died in 1975. So he kind of just missed out on that. And he would have loved all that cool tech because he was really into that. That's funny. That reminded me of the story about my dad as well. He did everything in slide rule as well. And I remember him bringing home a calculator. He was working for the Public Utilities Commission, PUC.
