In 1945, amateurs were allotted the 6-meter band, as we know, 50 to 54 megahertz, replacing the former 5-meter band and the 2.5-meter band. So those bands went away and the 6-meter and 2-meter bands, the frequencies as we know and love were allocated. And with the exception of some FM, all phone operation was with AM. And 6-meter pioneers utilized CW, AM, and experimented with narrow-band FM. And they used antennas such as rhombics, corner reflectors, folded dipoles, and yaki. So there you have it, Bravo, 1945.
