I know if you're using an Android device, I believe you are able to turn off the noise. So there's a noise cancelling microphone that you can use, or like a filter almost that you can use on the radio. And try to turn off the noise like that. I'm not sure exactly how it works inside an iPhone. I know a friend on Android who has done things like that as well. And also I'm pretty sure you can boost your microphone gain and stuff like that using the internet links. I'm not entirely sure how it works though. I use antenna and radio to radio communication. I've never used internet communication.
