We used to be able to walk around the streets and you'd have a wee carryout as in like a few bottles of whiskey and a few beers in your bag. And you'd walk around to Hoggmani. That is, of course, New Year's night and everything else. And as long as the light was on, you were warm. So you could see any house, anywhere. You'd be walking out the street, you could knock on the door and they'd say, welcome, welcome, come in. You'd offer them a wee dram from your whiskey. They'd offer you something back. Maybe they'd have some wee buffet and wee sausage roll or something. They'd have a wee chin wag, a wee chat and everything else. And you'd move on. But they'd ride these days. That doesn't happen.
