LEDs have advanced so far in size and power requirements that it's totally plausible to get some sufficient light out of a crystal radio now. They've got those tiny little surface mount LEDs like what's in your cell phone they can just light up the whole room. I know that there's just a minis-voltage coming across those kind of radios but I'm sure that they have very low power LEDs too. So just a thought it was so fun to build that Foxhole radio and when that pencil and that razor blade made a noise in my ears that's magic. Back to you. Yeah it certainly sounds like fun. I wouldn't mind trying something like that at some point in time. Sounds like a lot of little investment and a little bit of fun.
