KAL 7FR. So I was working for this engineering company doing remote jobs. And I had worked a full week. And into the weekend, I was supposed to get paid on Friday, but I was still out in the sticks. I made it back down and went to work on Monday morning. This was early June, 1984. And their office door was covered with God locks and stickers from the IRS and the FBI, Do Not Enter. And he was like, what? I just wanted my paycheck. I went over to my boss's house. He was gone. The garage door was open. The front door was open. The house was empty. He fled one step ahead of the Fed. So I no longer had a job. And a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to take a trip down to Yukon. This was where it's dangerous for me to go on vacation because he invited me to haul a boatload of mining supplies about 600 miles down to Yukon to a little village called Anvick. And I knew a few people from Anvick. I'd met them in Fairbanks. And like I said, that job I had, I liked the villages. And so I jumped in this overloaded boat and made a hazardous journey down to Yukon. And it was amazing we even made it. I better try to keep it short. I could talk for hours about this. But anyway, I was supposed to go to Anvick for one week, deliver that boat of mining supplies, prospecting supplies, and then fly back to Fairbanks and go mining on my own claims because I had three state mining claims up there on Dome Creek. Anyway, I ended up on a 25-year vacation. And Anvick even made some kids along the way. So it's been an interesting vacation. But now my current vacation site is Willow, about 50 radio miles north anchored, 75 miles by road. And I've been on vacation here for about 10 years. And I'm liking it. It's a pretty cool little area. And the shoes sit in the valley. And I'm still on vacation in Alaska.
