QSL is always a nice thing to have depending on, well, maybe not for all the QSO or not regular QSO, or the electronic way or the application way is certainly more efficient in terms of speed and in terms of cost as well, but there are some special QSO that you might have that you might want to keep a real physical card about that QSO and it happens to me a couple of times in the past where I had a QSO with an astronaut on the space shuttle, mission STS78 while I was stuck in with a astronaut there.
