And this applies whether it's emotional or metaphorical or physical, we expect things to be a certain way. And it's in those in between spaces, spaces when things are changing, that's when you have liminality. So liminality is essentially a period that's defined by its ambiguity and it lacks the typical established cognitive anchors that we're looking for. And that's and that's where this term originates.
