I've never used echolink or anything like that on the iPhone. When I was using iPhone I have a really old S-E5 so that's dating it right. Because it's like 2007 or no no later than that like 2014 or something. And I guess I didn't mind the audio coming out of it like when I would listen to tune in or some of my radio stations or YouTube. I guess I didn't mind. I listened on my blind shell.
