And I keep an encyclopedia of all the characters and occasionally go through and revise and make sure that the character named Dina in a bolt of thunder is still named Dina in Thunderstruck, which is technically supposed to be the second book in that series. Thunder rising and thunderstruck are the three books and I need to make sure she's Dina Hollingsworth and all three. So that kind of thing. So yes, I keep an encyclopedia. I keep the timeline. I keep notes of historical events that are mentioned casually in books so that they can be consistent.
