I just had a comment for Paul about the walls. And his house is using what they call lap and plaster walls, which means there are thin wooden slats running horizontally, and they're covered in plaster. And the stud finder will definitely not work on that type of wall. But there are, in fact, regular studs in there. And the lap is nailed in, and you You can use a strong magnet to locate where the nails are, and that will find your studs. But I probably wouldn't recommend mounting a TV to that. That type of wall is really easy to crack and really hard to fix. If you do screw something into it, make sure it's screwed directly into the studs and pre-drill the holes first. I don't know it's set up, but some things to check, I have an external antenna tuner, but not to insult anyone's intelligence, make sure it's turned on, because if it's not turned on it kills everything. At least mine does, let's put it that way. I'm on 40 meters now. The bands have not been stellar at all, but he should be able to make at least some type of contact.
