I know that my Icom 705, the IC705, they give you a tiny little battery which will give you 5 watts and I'd say about 4 hours of continuous operation and longer if you turn the screen off but it has a bigger battery you can get for it but I sidestepped that whole tangled and got that huge 14 amp hour battery lithium ferro phosphate thing I'm really enjoying it I'm not getting a ton of use out of it but when I do it's just great to have I hope it lasts forever because it gets light to do to use out of mine so good luck on your battery search and yes it sounds like you are helping spread the faith on these nodes I better attend this meeting so I can see what it's all about.
