All my garden is based on raised beds because there's not enough topsoil on the ground to really plant anything where I am. So I'm going to rework those raised beds this winter. And on a couple of them what I'm going to do is basically build cages around them so that I can, you know, with a door so I can close it and keep the animals out, but open it up to pick. I hate to have to go through that, but, you know, it seems to be the only way that I can keep them away from the plants. The fence works for medium sized animals, but gets something as small as a squirrel or a fox can squeeze through, and of course the raccoons are not at verse, and the squirrels are not at verse together."}
