Anyway, there is a current push here in California to do what some other states have done to allow people to have up to 1,200 watts of solar that will integrate into the system and time into the system, so using micro-inverters so you don't backfeed the system and create electrical hazards but allows the use of solar power without expensive installs just using a backflow system. But of course, for those of us up in the mountains, you do need to go the additional route so the systems do operate in case the grid does go down. But I don't know if you've been following this at all, but it could certainly open up for folks especially like yourself who might be generating a little bit of excess power not to be penalized for it."}
