I'm really glad that people do that and feel free to use hand radio for that purpose. So one of the things I want to mention was Oregon Public Broadcasting yesterday published a story about hand radio field day and how hand radio can be used in emergencies. And if you're looking for it, I think I just web searched for OPD radio field day and it came right up. So my particular situation was I was hiking with a group of folks and I was the only person who had a radio with a lot of people trusting their cell phones to work in, I guess it's a kind of urban wilderness, you know, Tiger Mountain is where we were. But I don't trust cell phones. I've had too many bad experiences with them. So I had my hand radio on me. And at one point we might have to evacuate somebody. It turned out we got him back down the mountain and everything was fine."}
