Went a couple of glasses of the wine and fired up the rock box on the old iPod, some old high-quality rips, and I was pleasantly impressed with it. No longer did he die tunes and all that other nasty stuff. He just dragged and dropped like a regular USB drive, and it just works. I was pretty impressed by that. It sounded pretty good. Some of the earlier iPod classics have a different DAC in them. That's just the W camera mirror off hand in which the name of the chip was. But a lot of the autofiles claim it has a warmer sound. I'm going to set that up eventually and try that. And put it against my Macintosh 2BAM. We'll see what happens. Which one's warmer.
