I think they are great, fantastic media format. You can fit up to about five hours on a disc, because you don't mind a little bit of compression. I, in fact, have a mini disc player in my car. And I think one of my favorite ways to hand a mixtape to a friend is to hand them a mini disc and a mini disc player, so that they can listen to their new mini disc. I've also found just in general buying physical media on eBay is a fantastic way to learn about new music you've never heard of. Often if you buy a used tape or disc, it'll have someone else's mixtape on it. And also on the topic of DVDs, tapes, CDs, physical media in general, the best part is you can get it for free at the library.
