I also just wanted to give a shout out to all the Kirkland Hamms up there that are checking in. It seems like there are many of us. Anyway, thanks Tim for running the net. I'll send it back to Justin KK7 QES. Comment. Okay, I'll get to the comment in just a moment. Yeah, Justin, on the Tempest, is that a standalone unit? And you say it's integrated with your phone? How does that work? Or is it part of a larger network? Yeah, you can kind of run it both ways. So it is both integrated with a larger network of Tempest weather stations. And there's a bunch of them around here, which is cool. But you can also get the data completely locally, which is what's with Home Assistant pretty well. I've found it to be nice. So here on Finhill, I have just started hearing raindrops fall and just heard a little bit of thunder a little bit ago. I like Paul's suggestion about lightning maps.org. That is a fantastic tool. I did not know that we are lacking in lightning spotting apparatus. I am not sure what that is actually in the Northwest. Probably because we do not get as much lightning as other parts of the country. But I wanted to mention there are a few weather stations actually that have lightning detection on them. I have one that is called a Tempest and I have had it for a couple of years. It detects lightning flashes and I get alerts on my phone and it includes the estimated distance of the lightning strike. So it is kind of fun when there is a bunch going on and you can see it getting closer and closer."},{"confidence":0.6704038977622986,"created_at":"2026-07-23T04:56:04.586296+00:00","id":179526,"node_number":"66296","recording_id":185170,"text":"Could it be a calm K7 XCD? I'm sure that eventually you'll take break and have some radio project to talk about. Don't worry about it. We're interested in your writing project. What kind of story is that the title to? So if you saw the title, the fire age, what sort of story would you expect to read? I'm just curious. And I'll be around till the end of this round. Kind of got back into it slowly, picked up some equipment. Yeah, I got business and it worked like, kind of got in the way. So, unfortunate. But, yeah, I'm really trying to catch up here. Now, it's an HF project. I am trying to reconstruct an HF antenna using a matching network from an old boat of mine. And so, we're going to hook that up to a fiberglass pole that extends, run a series of wires that are all hooked together, so we have a good mass of a vertical. And it'll be kind of coiled up and around the fiberglass pole. Very similar to the concept of what I have of my HF whip that I had on my sailboat many years ago. And the tube is still works like a charm. So, that's the game plan for it. Sounds like an antennae adventure there. Very good.
