I've done a lot of flying in my time. I was taking flying lessons for a while. And I flowed in my workshop plane and I was taking flying lessons in the Cessna. But I never, ever been in a hot air balloon. Now I love going and watching them when they got 20, 30 of them all lifting off at once. It's just a spectacular sight. But I've never been in one. Well, I don't know Tommy, that's pretty radical that you have a process that's actually working. Roger that, I can't believe those words left by lips. Believe me, I had my frustrating moments like just setting up the All-Star node, getting into Linux and using the SSH, you know, a program to get in there. You know, all those commands are far into me. I have no idea what's going on. After a while, you begin to understand a few of them, but certainly not all of them. So I actually got lucky, you know, connecting up the RF board worked. I am just now programming DTMF codes, getting my other two HTs to be connected. So, you know, I got some fun work to do. It's not frustrating. So yeah, I don't like that concept either. That's why I like the still photography in stereo. I have two or three rigs. You know, most of my rigs are two camera setups and you have to synchronize the camera so that they, you know, activate the shutter at the same moment. Now I'm thinking about light water rafting. Well, I'll have to go look at pictures. You have a great day at work, and don't work too hard. Work smart. Nice talking to you, Tim. This is W-A-60-W-S. Thank you, Stata. 7-3. Enjoy the photos and reminiscing on the whitewater, and we'll see you soon. Bye. This is the coffee breakneck. I like that hundreds of dollars a year, but you had a great time doing it. We have had many wonderful white water wrapping guides and experiences over the course of the years. It is a different breed of cats, the ones who do that. Yes, yes, this is very true. I'm originally from Indiana, and when I moved to California, I wanted to be a ski bum and a white water river guide, and I made that dream come true. And it changed my life, honestly. There is something almost euphoric about me."},{"confidence":0.9462937091787657,"created_at":"2026-07-09T16:08:54.696082+00:00","id":152039,"node_number":"683210","recording_id":154700,"text":"Riverbanks have been panned for, oh my gosh, so many generations. Well, if I recall correctly, it was after a lot of rain. It was one of those years where it really rained and the water ran really high. The kids said, let's go see if we can panned for gold that they may have washed down. And they actually found a few flakes, a whole lot of work, standing in cold water, but they were willing to do it, so I just cheered them on from the bank. Good for you, good for you, that's really fun. I prefer to partake in the white water when I go to Coloma. I spent a number of years as a white water raft guide, and oh man, best job ever."},{"confidence":0.8316369686614383,"created_at":"2026-07-09T16:08:52.472386+00:00","id":152038,"node_number":"683210","recording_id":154699,"text":"It's not really going to rain, but in my wife was a little bit more cautious than I. I'm glad we played it safe because that would have made for a soggy night. Oh, hello, yeah. Very, where were you camping? We were at the American River Resort on the South Fork of the American River in the little town of Paloma. I'm sure you're familiar. Oh, yes, we know Paloma. We've been over there many times. Usually with the kids when they'd want a panver gold, they're going to go find gold. And I think there are two little tiny flakes that we have somewhere floating around here that was their gold treasure find. You guys actually found gold? That's amazing. I, that's those."},{"confidence":0.7713949509585897,"created_at":"2026-07-09T16:08:50.236306+00:00","id":152037,"node_number":"683210","recording_id":154698,"text":"Luckily for us as soon as we got it on, this guy's really opened up. And yeah, after that it was pretty nice. We got a pretty good camping bed set up. So yeah, I feel you with the uncomfortable bed. Hopefully you guys can find a solution though. Back to you. I think we're going to gift them with a new 3 inch topper. So we both thought that what you were going to say was right after you got the fly set up, it stopped raining. But no, it's... you couldn't have counted on that. So that was probably a good thing you did get the fly over it. You managed to keep a little bit of the water out. Yeah, funny you say that because I was definitely leading to chance. Because I could still see stars when we were seeing the rain. And I was like, ah, this is not good, it's not good."},{"confidence":0.8393750687440237,"created_at":"2026-07-09T16:08:47.152684+00:00","id":152036,"node_number":"683210","recording_id":154697,"text":"doing today. We're doing really good. I slept very well. I realized that the next time we go up to visit our daughter, we need to find some additional something on the bed to make the bed a little bit more comfortable. But I woke up this morning. My back didn't hurt. My knees didn't hurt. I slept real hard. It was amazing. Ah, yes. The troublesome bed. I'm a bit there. We went camping a couple of weekends ago. I had checked the weather and there was no rain in the forecast. But lo and behold, about 11, 30, 12 o'clock at night. It started sprinkling. And my wife and I had to scramble to get the rain fly on before we got soaked."},{"confidence":0.8503730359830355,"created_at":"2026-07-09T16:08:44.481165+00:00","id":152035,"node_number":"683210","recording_id":154696,"text":"Oh, Tam, it sounds like you're out there all on your own. You're going to have to do your own experimenting. That's terrible. Hey, somebody will come up with a quick question. If nothing else, you can hang over, hang off until next Wednesday and where it's the ElmerNet and you can ask there. I'm sure that you, for one question, you'll get 17 different answers. That's what I love about amateur radio though. There's one question you've got a plethora of answers and options and different paths that you can go down. Which antenna should I use? A vertical, a dipole, a hex beam. You get to try them all and see which one you like. I'm looking forward to it. It's my next little project. Next time I get free time, I'll be doing that. So, data, thanks for running the net.
