I know that Gray and Jordan are struggling to get some kind of, I guess, steady ping going on Sundays. Yeah, during Fridays. Fridays, you know, it's gonna be fun. I think I've substituted my Sunday net for the Friday net and I don't think a Friday then turning around during a Sunday would be that much fun for me. Yeah, so I spent most of the day yesterday really deep diving into reputable characters with AI. Of course, everything's done with prompting, but it isn't like I'm sitting here drawing out the character. In fact, I kind of gave Daryl some snippets of what it kind of takes to work on something like this. It was pretty in depth. I was really surprised in the level of complexity that's built into trying to make a repeatable character. You know, every AI engine, every time AI gets a prompt, it reasons it or decodes it, however you'd like to put it in your mind. So it can have a different result every time unless you're really, really careful about how you use the exact same base, is what I call it. So yeah, I started with just playing with the cartoon character and I used a henchman of mine. I have two henchmen if you don't know. I'm an animal person. I like little critters. So I got two henchmen. I got Fred and George, named after the brothers on Harry Potter, my wife's huge Harry Potter fan. So I took a few pictures of Fred and loaded them into AI and started developing a character. So that took a few hours to really flesh out the character. I probably did somewhere around 30 variations of just an image of dialing them and trying one style and not liking it, trying some color scheme and not liking it. I think I spent about 12 or 14 hours yesterday doing nothing but that. Of course it was 107 degrees in Texas and my wife and I had already decided we were doing nothing on Saturday. So it was just a day to be able to do that. I didn't hear back from you. I texted you the last video I sent you. I hope you took it in good sight. It was fun to make. So yeah, I can tell you more about it in my next story on KJ5. I'll get you back to bail in that control. Just real quick, as a reminder, that was the one with the joke. Is that correct? Yes, sir. The joke. By the way, my laptop, the joke was hilarious. It should have been even funnier after I made a video. Bye, Chief. Yep, not a joke for the open airways for sure. But that was a joke. I was going through reels and I heard that and I thought you'd get kicked out of that and send it to a few other people with a strong enough constitution that it wouldn't offend them. So yeah, that was funny. He kind of ended in a strange position at the end of the video there. And that was, it seemed like it had frozen on me. So it took me a couple of seconds just to realize that was how it ended. So if there were any criticisms, which there's not, that would be the only criticism is how it ended there. Because he started moving and then all of a sudden he froze. It would have been better if he had been standing up and ended with a clear picture of him. But yeah, that was cool. I had my call sign on there and everything. That was really nifty. Thank you. And with that, we're going to go back up to Canada to the E1WI and Peter. Good morning, Peter. Good to hear you out here. Hope everything's going good for you today. And why don't you tell us what you're doing. In my overview. Good morning, Bill. Morning, all. We're doing our eggs on the deck here. Very windy, which is nice. Nice and breathing. Good. And talking about my mom, she turned 74 today. It's her birthday today. So I'm not putting her in a home or anything. I live with her, right? So we kind of look after each other. So that's good. Yep, Kelsey turns 74 today. So we're going to go for dinner tonight. I bought her a red bouquet of flowers yesterday. And I bought her a card. And I bought her a lemon meringue pie yesterday. She loves lemon meringue pie. And I love lemon meringue pie. So I picked one up yesterday when I was little. So other than that, there's not too much going on. Just sitting on the deck here watching the, you know, just chilling. So back over to neck control. Good evening, Peter. And yeah, I mean, that's between you and Darryl. I mean, you both live right next to your parents. And you're able to, you know, be able to get a phone call or a text, you know, or a shout in your case. You're right there. You can help out. You can do this. You can do that. And, you know, be helpful and, you know, kind of take care of them. And if they're fall, you're right there. You can get there much quicker than an ambulance or someone who lives in another household around the block. And that's great. I mean, that's ideally that'd be a good situation. And I would love to be able to do that. But, you know, you know my job. You know, I'm lucky to get home, you know, once every three weeks. Sometimes it's four weeks. And we live about 58 miles from where my mom lives. So it's a little bit harder for us to do that. But she's got a lot of friends. And she's got her church group right there in Casa Grande. And if she moved in, if she came over here and moved in with us, I think that would be hard for her. And if she moved into my brother's place, I think that would really be hard. And I had to tell my brother last night that, you know, because he kept on pushing on the subject. And I kept telling him, you know, I'm going to go talk to her today. And, you know, we're going to, you know, I'm going to see how things are and talk to some other people. And it's not, you know, like she hasn't really been able to take care of herself. I put told this accident here. She has had to have someone come in to do physical therapy with her. But, you know, this is how she likes to live as far as I know. She doesn't say anything to the contrary. And I've asked her a couple times, but, you know, she likes the solitude. For the most part, she likes the peace and quiet and to hunt around. You know, when she gets to a point where she needs to have, you know, a full-time care, then we're thinking of something about my wife and I were thinking something more in love of assisted living where she could have her own apartment, you know, sort of what, I can't remember her name now, Missy. I kind of like what Missy's doing. You know, she's got her own apartment, but they make meals. And she has the people, the rest of the people in the community there. And she has help if she needs it. But with that, I will pass it over. Whoops, let me grab one. Almost timed that right. We got KN4LBF, Dee, and Dee will be in Met Control next Saturday, helping out Kevin Campbell and X. So looking forward to that, Dee. Sorry for mixing up the dates there, but I'm glad you're out here today. How are you doing this morning? This is KN4LBF. This is Dee. Hi, good morning, everyone. Like always, I woke up this morning and gave gratitude that I was about to wake up. I always have to say that. And, you know, I'm looking forward, excited, excited, yay! Everybody probably boos me. I'm going to see the messages, boo! No. Anyway, you know, I was listening to George about what he said about Sundays. I think that's a great idea. Everybody's sending him messages and stuff that he can coordinate the Sundays only, I guess is what he's talking about. I think having coordination for a day is really good. So the only thing I would suggest is at least once a week make a comment on the net and let everybody know that you're doing the schedule for Sundays and coordinate it so everybody knows and you can send emails out to everyone knowing monthly or whatever and they'll call you if they have to take out or whatever. But I think that's great, having someone coordinate that. I don't have much to do except I have a rodent in my attic and I can hear it and it's driving me crazy. Today is Sunday, you know how that goes, so I'm going to have someone go up there anyway. But I'm assuming it's a squirrel because that's all we have. We don't really have raccoons or other things that could get up there. At least I don't think so. I don't think we have any mice or anything. I think it's a squirrel that got in. And I've been telling my husband, you know, at least once a year we have to check the vents. And you know, husbands sometimes ignore their wives and I've been telling him we need to send him. So here we are. It woke me up this morning and was like, oh gosh, there's a rodent up there. Anyway, this is K&4 LBM, back to the net. No, no, no, no, we don't ignore our wives. We just have selective hearing. We hear what we want to hear and we don't hear what we don't want to hear. Yeah, yeah, it's a bad habit but I think it goes both ways. But more so on the husband's side because they get asked more questions. Or have to reply to more stuff. We're quiet folk. But sorry to hear about the rodents. Our house is fairly closed off in the attic so we're hoping that it will be a while. And we don't get a lot of mice in this desert area. And we've been luckily we haven't had the scorpions. We've had crickets, that's for sure, we've had crickets get into the house. And we're trying to think, flies, we get some flies in here. Maybe a mosquito every now and then. But living in the desert, not a lot. And we've been lucky we haven't had snakes. But we haven't had ants. We haven't had any in the house. But we've had some manhounds on the back. And we've got a pest guy that comes out and sprays on a regular basis. So luckily we've avoided most of those. And they're not the big black scorpions. They're kind of sand colored or almost transparent. But a couple houses down from us had a problem. And when we first moved in. But luckily we haven't seen any here. But thank you, Dee. And yep, looking forward to it. Don't sell yourself short. I'm sure you'll do fine. Everybody says they think you'd be great. And I am one of those people. So we'll catch you out here on Saturday. And now we have ZS6ZYM. John, are you listening to your wife? Dee would like to know. And I know if you're over to here, John."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-10T05:14:50+00:00","id":15729,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15728,"text":" Well, we're talking to Jan, ZS6ZYM, and he dropped off. Not sure what the humidity is. What's the humidity right now? The current humidity is 72%. Yeah, it's not too, too bad. You know, it could be worse. 72%, you know, it definitely could be worse. I really wish that we would get some rain. That's what we really need because we've got some forest fires that are really burning out of control. Last night they issued another evacuation order for another section of a town next to us called Paradise. Yep, Paradise, that's the name of the place. And I don't really see anything Paradise-like about it. I mean, it's not really a fantastic town or anything, but I like the town I live in. St. John's is a big one. Paradise is a smaller town just on the edge of St. John's here. And last night at around 11 o'clock probably, my phone went crazy. One of those eeny, eeny, those loud alarms that you really, it takes a second to shut it off and they're startling. If you've ever gotten any of those alarms on your phone, you know what I'm talking about, those test system ones. Well, we're not in test mode up here right now. We're in evacuation mode. It's like at night you can really smell the smoke in the air and you get up in the morning and it's not so bad. But at night, man, it smells like the whole area is on fire. And I guess it is. You know, there's water bombers working flat out. We've got four here, water bombers that Newfoundland owns. And they brought in two more from Quebec so they've got six water bombers, you know, constantly bombing this thing with massive amounts of water. And it's really not helping because the forest is an absolute tinderbox. So really all it takes is one little spark to get the whole thing again. So the night before last, it looked like they had suppressed a decent amount. And last night it was flared back up again. So they had people under wait and see, kind of, wait and see kind of evacuation orders. And they called it last night. They said, yeah, anybody in this area, you gotta go because the flames are just way too close to the houses and we gotta get you guys out. So there was an evacuation order last night of 10,000 people, somewhere close to that, I'm guessing 10,000 people. Just unreal, the fires that are going on out there right now.
