Those gates come down automatically and they cut that road off because it will flood at the drop of a hat. But at any rate, at large we got over a lot of that. And like I said, we probably ought not be playing in flood waters. That's probably not a smart thing. Hopefully that helped you out, Sierra Sierra. Anything further? No, thank you, Joe. I was just wondering about how that turned out there. Yeah, you're right. Any loss of life is too many, I'll tell you. But last Friday we had 2.7 inches of rain here all in about 30 minutes. And there was no damage or anything, just water running down the street and everything. But we needed it, I'll tell you. And it was real quick and real hard and oh well, nothing come of it. Just a nice little rain shower. Back to you, Joe. Thanks a lot for doing the Ignat. Great job. Enjoy every minute of it. I'll see you next week and thanks for being there. Alrighty, there. No issues. And, yeah, I hope you all get that to hear of. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Alright, let's go to Mr. Ray. I'll put up the phone and come to you. A40Z, the next 39 net V test session will be the fourth Saturday of August and that will be the 23rd of this month, 1800 hours at Union Springs Baptist Church. Please go to amsteady.org forward slash sessions. To find out how to register, you can put in your zip code and you'll find all the local V test sessions that's all around you and you can register all around there. Because if you're not registered, whatever test session you're going to may not be there if you have a pre-register with a break. I repeat, because there are those that listened that aren't licensed yet or it may be in a while since you've tested and now you're ready to upgrade, you forgot what you need. But regardless of where you test, you will need a picture ID. You will need a good email address. If CC contacts you via that email address, they give you 10 days to respond. If you don't respond, they don't either. You will need an FRN number. And we're a RL test team, so there's a $15 test fee. If you're 18 or older, if you're 12, if you're 17 or under, it's $5 and we'll pick up that $5 fee. Trisage Club and CVC Club, they are both also electronic and they are all affiliated with ARL, so their testing is free. But you do have to register in advance. Check out the image website, lmarc.net. That's the wonderful website. It keeps it updated. It's always, it is the best website I know of. Mac V and Jim, AA4UC. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo. Thank you very much, Mr. Ray. We appreciate that. All star node 6222 located in Shelton, Washington. Let's check with Mr. Emmett, W4EDP. Sorry, making sure that station with the noise couldn't come back in. W4EDP, good evening. Couple of announcements. Number one, following up on what Ray said, y'all go out to the Sunday Night Net web page. Sundaynightnet.org and click on that VE test link, scroll down the page. We got a chart down there. We got test sessions every week of the month. We got a floater. We got one quarterly. That should do everybody, but every now and then we run into something kind of weird and we do want to get people tested and upgraded. So one of those won't work for you. You just use the test. You got to let us know why one of those won't work and what we can do to help you. And we will do our best. The Tri-State Club, TSARC, we test every second Thursday of the month. We are electronic. There's no fee for testing through us. You can go to whiskey4golf.org, w4gta.org. Look under that What's Happening banner and everything you need to know is there. Pre-registration is there. I would consider pre-registration mandatory for any place you go to test so that they can have, so that number one, they're there, and number two, they have the right things to help you out, resources. The other announcement, Ham Shack Hotline, don't forget, Ham Shack Hotline ceases operations the 29th of this month. That's the last Friday of this month. Don't fret. All your phones will keep working. All you got to do is get you an account. We're going to get you a phone call. We're going to get you a phone call. All you got to do is get you an account through either amateur wire or Ham's Over IP. I suggest you get one at both. Reprogram your phone and you're back in business. And we will keep carrying it until the last minute here at Southeast Lincoln LMARC. And as always, we carry Ham's Over IP and amateur wire as well. Back to Tech Control, W4EDP. Thank you, Mr. Emmett. We appreciate that very much. All right. Let's go lastly to Mr. Joe Tainton Whiskey. Well, good evening, everyone. You did hear Mr. Emmett and Mr. Ray both mention the website. That was sundaynightnet.org. I'll tell you what, there's a lot of good information on there, not just the test sessions, but also a huge list. Scroll into it now. It's a couple, three pages worth of every way you can join us on the Sunday Night Net. It's very long. But if you scroll through that, you also got the slow scan portion. It explains kind of what we do. It's got the current poll on there as well as the answer to the previous polls and any bonus or extra pictures that we've ever sent. So a lot of good information there. sundaynightnet.org. Be sure to check it out. Couple of hamfests coming up for the discerning chopper. Huntsville, of course, next weekend. Hamfest.org. If you haven't got tickets, hopefully you've still got a chance, but hamfest.org can put you in touch with those folks. theaters of Lebanon coming up after that, the 23rd of August. smrclub.com for that. Dalton Flopfest coming up. urz.com slash db slash w4drc for that one. And then coming up in October the 3rd and 4th with a new venue, Hamfest Chattanooga. We can look at w4a.com's website for that. Click on that. Go to the first thing in the menu there, the Iron Man, and click there on More Info. And then there will be a link for you to sign up for the event. We still need about 12 people. We need a lot, especially people who can work in the late afternoon and through the night. It ends at about 1 AM so we need people that can run the gamut there from about 4 in the afternoon until 1 in the morning. You don't need to do that whole time. About half of that would be fine. Break. I also want to let you know that on November 8th is another opportunity to be part of an event. It's the Chatter to the Battlefield Marathon. That happens of course down in the battlefield in Georgia. And it goes from about 7 AM to about 1 PM. So it's a very short event. And it's a cooler event so that's a good thing. To sign up for that event or to let us know you're interested, go again to the KAA4EMA.net website. Fill out the contact form on that website and you'll be able to let us know that way that you're interested in participating in that event. You can find out more about it through the Volunteer Opportunities link. Thank you very much Jim. WAA4BAK. Thank you Warren, we appreciate it very much. You know what? What's bad about this time of year is a bunch of candy sitting around. We don't even get any trick or treaters. We got enough candy here we could have a hunter come by I think. And that means I got to eat it all. I just spotted it. Alright, thank you very much sir. BAK we appreciate you. Let's go to... I wrote down, Max was that? That was Bruce with the, I put down the wrong call sign I think. Bruce was that you with that out, the N4WD correct? It was Max's ID. Well I did it right, it was Max. I thought it was Bruce. Max go ahead. Thank you Jim. Good evening everyone. Folks, just wanted to remind everybody that the, I think Washington, the House and Senate both have bills that have been proposed. They're not really moving but they've been proposed for the Private Land Use or HOA's. Preventing hams from putting ham radio antennas up. And the ARWW is working with someone, I forget the guys name, who has set up a website. And if you'll go to https colon slash slash send dash a dash letter dot org slash hoa. And I've got this in the almost system message window. If you'll click on that link and just simply enter your ham radio call, it'll populate your information. And then the lobbyist in Washington will be able to print off a letter and it will tell them who your representatives and senators are. And they will give them a copy of that letter. So this is something that hopefully we can get passed this year. It's been up there for several years. Hopefully this year it'll be passed and then that'll free up hams putting up amateur radio antennas and HOA's. So anyway, Jim, back to you. K and 4 NPF this is. November 4, November whiskey delta. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you there Max. And maybe we can get a link to that link on the web page. On the Sunday night net web page. Alright, thank you Max. Alright, let's go to Mr. Ray. I'll find the 4H on Zulu. Thank you Jim, AA-4EZ. The next test session for the Sunday night net is this coming Saturday, the 27th. We'll be having our regular test session at the Union Springs Baptist Church featuring 911 Levi Road. We do have a candidate already signed up and we have a VE stuff already committed so we will be having a test session for sure. So if you're looking for any place to test, if you'll go to hamsteady.org forward slash sessions. You can put in your zip code and you can find out where all these various VE test sessions are in your area. And you can even register right there online so they'll know that you're coming because sometimes if a test team doesn't know anyone's coming they may not be there either. And I pick this each week because there are those that are listening that have never registered, I mean that aren't licensed that would like to, that don't know what they need to do. So here's the information you will need. You'll need a picture ID. You will need a good email address. That's how the SEC contacts you. They give you 10 days. If you don't respond, they don't either. You'll need an FRN number. We're ARL test teams so we charge $15 if you're 18 or over, $17 or under, it's $5 but we will pick that up for you. We had another instance of an email address not long ago and it doesn't work out well. It takes a lot of extra work to make sure we can get you through on that. Also check out Emmars website, l-m-a-r-c dot net. Check on resources and tools. You can get all the information you need about local repeaters, frequencies, offsets, lengths, wind nets, meets, everything you need to vote. Email will have it on that website. Now, my announcement is a, uh, Saturday afternoon, a new net, 4 p.m. on, uh, uh, Echo Link on 4 p.m. on Saturday, Eastern time, and SHFC, Hammers for Christ. Bunch of new people check it out. Here's a back here, Black Smith. Thank you, my friend. We appreciate that announcement. You have a wonderful week. Uh, let's go to, uh, Mr. Gilligan. You're from Fox Hotel. Hello, David. Good evening, Jim and the Net. Uh, real quick, I want to give a big thank you to everybody that came out to the handfest, and especially those that helped us, uh, as volunteers. I think everybody had a pretty good time, and, uh, we look forward to seeing everybody next year. Back in that control, this is KY4FH. Yes, sir, yes, sir, yes, sir. And, uh, I'm, I'm, let me put a little something in on top of that. I, you know, my first thoughts when I left yesterday was we didn't have as many people there as we should have. And, um, when I started looking at some of my numbers and all, and looking at past years, I, I, I had to question that a little bit. Um, I think because we weren't so crammed in such a small area, and it was such a wonderful facility. I mean, absolutely. If you've never, if you live in North Georgia, I, you have something to be proud of. The, the colonnade is, that is, I never even knew it existed. And it's ten minutes from my shop. What a beautiful facility. And the ham fest is booked there for the next four years. I think they did a five-year deal. Um, so, um, if you didn't make it this year, make sure you put it on there for next year. And, and David, let me go ahead and say, um, did, did you get to go out and have any of the food vendor? Did you get to try it? Well, the food was so bad, I shouldn't have let anybody eat anything else. Ha ha. No, it was fabulous food. The, uh, food vendor came in, and, uh, they're, uh, planning to be back next year. So, we had, we had a great time, I think, with the food, uh, and all. Everybody, I think, uh, really enjoyed it. I think we can follow up with one of, uh, your good friends. Uh, I think it's AA4WP. He thought that the Chicago dog was really a great dog, and it was the real thing. Back to you, Jim. KY4FH. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Bill, you all know Bill. He works for me and Bill. He didn't get on the net tonight. I told him he didn't get on here. He came in Friday evening and he said, it's supposed to be a Chicago dog. You all know he's a pole hog straight from Chicago. Ha ha. I get, we, we cut up all the time. And he came in and he, he took a bite out of it and he said, this is the real deal. So, Saturday, I went out there and got me one. I, you all know Chicago's one of my favorite cities. And, um, that's where we went last year for Christmas. And, uh, I went out there and got, uh, uh, I got me a Polish sausage. And it had the grilled onions and some peppers on it. And, man, I, I was like, wow, this sucker was good. So, all in all, I'm gonna say I just had a wonderful time. I had a wonderful time. And it was good seeing everybody. Emmett sent me some stats here and told me the Collin 8 was built in 2000. And that sucker's 25 years old. It looks like it was built yesterday. It's ran marvelously. And you need to check out the website on the Collin 8. They have Christmas shows. They have shows there all the time. I was, saw the signs for the Christmas shows and we looked them up earlier today. Super reasonable ticket starting at like 9 bucks. But, it just, it's insane. It's all sold out. So, everybody knew about it but me. But, if you live in this area, check out the website for the Collin 8. Alright, thank you David. I appreciate you very much and for all you do. Alright, let's go to W.A. 4 B.A.K. Hello, my friend.
