Sorry about that. K0ECK. Alright. Yeah, that's my cue to reply. So, uh, well, I'm sorry about your cat. I've had dogs and pets and cats that needed to be euthanized. Anyway, but, um, uh, I'll just stop there. Take care, Gail. Sean, uh, KJ70XM, I didn't see you at the Rain or Shine Net. Sorry that you didn't make it. Um, but, uh, please give us your report. 33. Well, that is definitely true. I did not make it, but you know what? There will be other events and I will be there. Um, my report is as follows. It's quite warm and somehow, uh, boy, that's a first. And one of my battery-operated lights turned on. That's kind of interesting. I've never seen it do that before. Um, let's see, what else? Oh, yes, my silence on the radio was quite, um, interesting. That's because I gave myself a little break to get something to take care of and, um, yeah, uh, some, uh, other individuals kept dinging me quite often. So I had to take care of that. And otherwise, doing fine. Oh, now it turned itself off. Hey, that's interesting. You know, folks, when you have a light that does its own thing, don't be surprised. It comes with the territory. Um, as do critters. Hold on a second. As do critters, yes. Even I had a partner at one time with four legs and a waggy tail and I appreciated that dog a lot. But, you know, she's in a good place. As all our critters, for anyone who had one, uh, don't worry. They're always going to be a part of you no matter what. So they're never all that really far away. But, um, you know, they give us such joy having them and that's the big difference is they gave you all that wonderful love back for you and me. And so, you know, taking care of them in return, so in a way, you both win. But the main thing is, they will always be in your heart. That's what counts. As to me, wow, can't wait to get a new partner soon. So, I don't know when that'll be, but it'll be soon. Otherwise, this is a PGA 7 EXM at a light with its own sense of humor. Here, I'll get back to that. This is repeater station kilo kilo 7 November Quebec November. Well, Sean, this is not what you reported about, but, um, as you were giving your report, through most of it, two fire engines went by. Command Conard and Ambulance all went by with all the sirens blaring. And you didn't even hear a peep because I wasn't transmitting. Oh well. Well, maybe if we have any topic here, pets, um, euthanizing pets. Um, I just read, um, a little piece online. You see the kind of thing that's, it's little essays that you find now and online. And they're like top heads, but from nobody you ever heard of. But this one was from a veterinarian. And, uh, on this topic, so, take care, Sean. Uh, and so far out of eight operators, folks, four of us are YLs, so there you go. We had an IO from Jaron and that brings us to James in Detroit, Michigan. W8WW Whiskey 8 Whiskey Whiskey. James, please give us your report. Good evening, W8WW here outside Detroit. Good evening, everyone. Um, I have lost pets, um, over the last couple of years currently. We have three dogs and, um, they have all replaced over the years, uh, almost like bandages. But, uh, the unconditional love. I have a cocker spaniel who's a bit grumpy. He's got what's called resource guarding and, uh, we can have issues with him here and there. Um, the thing is, is that, uh, tonight I was on the roof again and, uh, the fire engine went by and my, uh, Charlie and the cocker spaniel started howling. What does that mean, fire engines? So, today I purchased 800 feet of 12 gauge two strand copper wire and I'm running that down to my, from my, uh, arrester down to a grounding rod. Um, while removing one of the PL-259 from the lightning arrester, uh, the PL-259 broke off the center conductor. So, I moved that over to the temporary other cable and, uh, I'm getting, uh, anywhere from, uh, 1.1 to 1.4 on the dual bands. So, I'm quite happy there. Um, I have about 30 feet of antenna wire that, uh, I'm gonna run. Accidentally put a hole in my drywall with my bed. Um, the, uh, adjustable bed frame got shoved back in the wall and fractured the, put a nice sized hole in the, uh, in the drywall. And the good thing is that this is on a, uh, outside wall. I'm gonna use that to put some vocab connectors and connect, uh, everything, uh, right outside that rather than going through my attic. But, uh, that's about it for you. Back to neck control, W8WW here outside Detroit. Well, fine business, James. Too bad that, uh, the PL-259 broke off of the center conductor. Um, and, um, of course, like every ham operator out there, I have VODHF connectors on everything, PL-259s, SO-239s. And, uh, but for my own purposes, I've been using end connectors, uh, or BNCs. But, um, and I used to, long ago, solder PL-259s on, uh, the correct way. But I haven't done that in years. I've now, I've now edged more into, um, the appliance and category when it comes to, uh, putting RF connectors on cables. Like I'll just buy a cable that, that has them already pre-installed. Uh, I could still do it, but I haven't really had a need to do it. So, anyway, take care, James. And, uh, thank you for checking in and I'll catch you down the log next week. Last on this first round is our friend Jeff, AB6-FE, in, uh, Union City or Onion City. Is that what you sometimes call it? Uh, which is just a couple of miles from the San Francisco Bay. Uh, Jeff, uh, this is KF2CW asking for you. Okay, thank you very much, uh, Joan, and, uh, thank you for doing the net tonight. Um, yeah, yeah, it's funny with, uh, getting animals, I guess it's kind of, uh, something we chat about here right now, and, uh, which is good. Um, I remember we got these two cats, and they're the gray cats, and, and I called one my main cat and the other one my backup cat. And, lo and behold, what happened was the main cat went and that wasn't his name, it was Smokey. And then the backup cat, uh, Pepper, he, he went later on. And, and still very painful, and I cried. And then I had, uh, after those two cats, we were out with my youngest daughter's birthday, when she was five, and we went by a, uh, a pet rescue place in the mall. And I, and, uh, and one of us said, hey, let's go and look in the cats. And I said, yep, but we're not going to get a cat. And, okay, uh, we went in there and walked out with a big white cat. And he was with us for quite a while. He was definitely the, uh, the top cat in the house, you know. He was, we had other cats, but he was definitely the one in charge. And, uh, so anyway, I, I'm thankful, and I just wore no more pets, and that didn't last very long. But I have good fond memories of that day. But like I said, we said, oh no, we're not going to get him, no cats, we're not going to take cat home. That didn't last very long. Uh, anyway, uh, yeah, I just got out the, uh, DMR net, uh, for the poppa system. And we had a really good, you know, in-depth discussion on, uh, DMR radios. And, uh, you know, when I first got a DMR a few years ago, they sort of really muffled to me. And now they, they don't. And I, I know it's not, I, the reason the, the, uh, audio's gotten better, I think, maybe, with, uh, the different, uh, systems. But I don't know, but it's funny. I was talking about that on the net tonight, how DMR usually sounds kind of muffled, but it doesn't do that to me anymore. Rarely, I have heard it sound that way. Uh, yeah, here in the Bay Area, we were in about, uh, about 80 degrees today, at nights and sunny. And, uh, you know, just working on some stuff I've got here. And, uh, and, and I started watching the baseball game and changed the channel on that one. That was annoying. Uh, anyway, uh, so, that's about it. Uh, I can't think of anything else. I'm sure I'm gonna miss something. But, uh, back to you, Joe. Keep up the good work, AB6MB. This is repeater station kilo, kilo seven. Well, thank you for that, Jeff. And, uh, yes. You know, my comment I want to make, I've been wanting to make in the last two or three reports of, uh, euthanizing beloved pets is, uh, I'm in the, uh, in the school of, uh, or in the camp of, of, uh, that you should always be with them and holding them as they go under. Uh, because that's the thing that they need. The last thing they need is to know that they're an abysm of, that they're, they're human. And, uh, um, that's all I'll say on that. I wrote a bunch of stuff down. When you say main cat, it always makes me think of main coon cats. I've never met one in person, but I have seen photographs of them and I think that'd be really cool to live in the same household as one of those. Um, I'm sure that any other cats in the household are not happy with that. I read one story, one essay about someone who had, uh, a cat that they, they actually didn't want. And, uh, I don't know if I can, it would take too long to do the setup for the story, but they basically got a main coon cat. And when the main coon cat appeared, their existing cat was so alarmed that it left. It disappeared, never to return. And, uh, I'll just stop there. Otherwise the story telling gets too long. Take care, Jeff. And, uh, I hope you enjoyed the feeds. I haven't seen any of the feeds that Jack, or, you know, Jack seemed to be doing some video as he often does. I haven't seen any of that. I saw, um, I watched, uh, Madeline's, uh, live stream before I, I, uh, showed up there."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-12T21:10:38+00:00","id":16525,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16524,"text":" Good evening, it's time for the 9 o'clock net. This net meets daily at both 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Here on the WW7 PSR repeater in Seattle, Washington at 146.96 MHz with the standard minus offset and a PL tone of 103.5. I'm Paul, T7BJP, and I'll be your net host for tonight, Tuesday, August 12, 2025. This is a directed social net open to all license hands. Just let us know what's going on in your life. How was your day? What project, radio, or otherwise have you been working on? Here's what I'll do. I'll compile a list of four or five or so check-ins, and then I'll go back down that list and I'll ask you for your report. Just give me your call sign and your name and I'll acknowledge you. No tailgating, please. That means wild doubles and triples are inevitable. If you hear someone else trying to get in, please allow me to acknowledge them before you throw out your call sign. Also, please try to keep your reports to less than three minutes, which also happens to be the timeout interval for this repeater. Finally, please end your report with your call sign. You don't need to begin your report with your call sign, but please end with your call. In fact, both lets me know you are finished with your report and it keeps you in the good graces of the FCC. And with that, this is Paul, K7PJP, looking for that first round of check-ins. On tonight's nine o'clock now. All I need is your call sign and name. Kilo Alpha 9, Echo Hotel Victor, KA9HVM. All right, Ann, good evening to you. I got you first on the list. More stations, call sign and name. K3OE, Rich. All right, Rich, K3OE, I've got you. Kilo, Charlie 2. More stations, call and name. Kilo, Echo, Oscar. Charlie from New Jersey, I'm gonna be in. Hello, all right, Charlie. Good to have you here. I've got you on the list. More stations, call and name, please. KJ7, Victor Echo Uniform, Mike. All right, Mike, you're on the list. More stations, call and name. KJ7, EXM. All right, Sean, you're on the list. Anyone else, call and name. W8, W, W, James, you're outside Detroit. All right, W8, W, W. All right, that's gonna give us six here. We'll go ahead and run with that. Let's go up to the top to Ann, KA9 EHB. Ann, how are you tonight? Well, good evening, Paul. And to Annette. I am fine. I am nervous. I'm going to the Worldcon tomorrow. And the logistics are going to be interesting because the place for most of my speaking engagements are three blocks away from the hotel where I am staying. And trying to get this to work is going to be somewhat interesting. I'm not sure exactly how this is going to happen. I have kind of a general idea. And then I've already gotten one letter from a panelist who's got a bunch of slides that, of course, I can't see. I would really have appreciated if she'd sent it slightly before the convention started, like last week, so that I could have had a chance to have the computer read them to me. I don't know. This is one of these inclusion things that really I wish people would, if you did nothing else about diversity, equity, and inclusion, include by giving people time to deal with your data and the way they need to deal with it. Sometime when I have more time and less to talk about, I'll give my rant on alternative test formatting in colleges for blind people. Anyway, I did a little bit of work with the harp and wrote another chapter in the interminable saga of Raquelah. Do you know that it is really hard to write a moving story about somebody who's under really restrictive captivity? You have to read actual real life stories to make it work. And any way you do it, it's grim. So anyway, that's what I've been doing. 7333-88. Thanks to Paul for doing the net. Thanks to all of you for listening. I love you all. This is KA90HB. Back to Nat. All right. Well, yes, I'm sure when you're done with all this, sharing that rant will be something we'll hear. And I hope that despite that, it all goes well for you. And I imagine there are challenges on writing a story like you described. I hope that those reading other true life stories provided the sort of material background that you needed to make yours sound more realistic and work better for you. So, yeah, have a good time with Colin and 7333. All right. Let's go next to Rich K3OE. Rich, how are you doing tonight? Good. Good evening. I'm doing just fine over here in West Seattle. It was a beautiful day. Although a bit warm and mucky for a while. But anyway, this evening, yeah, the crazy antenna is a kitchen scene because I was cooking today. So I figured, well, I'll do a kitchen scene antenna. So anyway, I posted a picture and the SWR is acceptable. And I'm 5 watts on a handheld. And yeah, I'm getting in okay. So that's all that counts. Anyway, thanks for doing the net. Back to you, K3OE."},{"callsign_confidence":0.97,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-07T21:59:42+00:00","id":15107,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15106,"text":" KI7RMU, KK7IJZ. Oh hi Rebecca, thank you so much for doing the net. We're monitoring the situation with one of the stations that just checked in recently, so I just want to let everybody know we're on the lookout for updates on that. And so just everybody stand by if you can. Alright, okay, thank you so much and we wish for a positive outcome. KI7RMU, back to you Rebecca. Thank you so much for that Jack. I appreciate you and I, yes, I appreciate your kindness and empathy and the amount of care and thoughtfulness that you put into our club and our super fun social nets. So thank you so much Jack73. Alright, we had an I.O. from Robert, KJ7JXM and we also had an I.O. from Cammie, KJ7RAB. And, whoops, I just kicked Andy, oh my poor little dog. Next on the list is Megan, K9MLR. Hey Megan, please come ahead with your report. Good evening Rebecca and everyone out there on the net. K9MLR, Megan here at home in Newcastle. I am currently working on the Rain or Shine ice cream social tickets. So that's kind of funny. Printed them all out in color on cardstock and now I'm cutting them down because I printed two per page and they don't need to be that big. I am currently working on that. It has been a busy evening. Brooks, K9VDC is at the Seahawks game. So I am at home with the station managers and Rebecca, I made dinner, cleaned up dinner, I painted the trim in his office because the popcorn ceiling is coming down this weekend and it is getting a beautiful fresh coat of paint. And let me tell you Rebecca, even painting the trim, the walls don't look white anymore. So it was kind of funny. I was like, oh, those walls now look yellow. So that's what I have been up to trying to get caught up so many little things going on that if I don't stay ahead I get behind and I can't get behind right before the school year starts. So that's what I'm up to. Thank you for doing the net 33 to you, Rebecca, Kami and all the other YOs out there, K9MLR. Well, thank you so much for that report, Megan. That's fun. Painting, painting, painting. There's nothing like a fresh coat of paint. Honestly, chef's kiss. I'm a big fan of color. I love color. I love color and I love flavor. And I have to explain those. Just imagine that I'm texting an old cat. I love color and I love flavor. Yeah, but have fun. It's going to be fun. Yeah. We'll have a fun night in. You girls have a fun night in. I hope you do a lot of, I don't know, dog stuff and people stuff and yeah, sign the tickets. Thank you so much, Megan, for everything you do and you are awesome. 33 and all the YOs out there, Kami. Awesome. 33 and all the numbers. This is Rebecca, KK7IJZ. And next on the list is Jim and Jay at Deer Lake. K7PDZ, KK7IJZ. Well, good evening there, Rebecca and everybody out there tonight. Yeah. What am I doing here? Oh yeah, that's what I'm trying to do is get up the Vodascope and I don't know where it is. There it is. Anyway, yeah, tonight, you know, I've talked about our C cycle in the past. This pedal thing that we have that uses real propellers and chain drive and everything. And we finally got nav lights on it. And so tonight we took it out after sunset. And so we had a lot of fun. There was one other fishing boat on the lake. It's cold over here tonight. It's only 61 degrees. But it's a bit windy, but it's calmed down tonight and we had the whole lake to ourselves. But anyway, it was fun being out there after dark with real, honest to goodness, nav lights on the C cycle. So there were so many, so many iterations of how are we going to put lights on this thing. Because it's plastic, you know, we can't drill holes through it. You can't glue something to it. Suction cups don't work. And so anyway, finally everything came together and we bought the lights and it's up and running. And so tonight was our major voyage, so to speak, after sunset. And we had a good time. So anyway, whatever the thing they're talking about with Jack, I tuned in a little bit late after the net got started. So I don't know what that's about, but I'm going to certainly listen out the rest of it and see what that's about. So anyway, back to you, Rebecca. Rebecca, 737, everybody, and have a great weekend. This is Jim and Kay in a tier-light K7. Well, Jim, thank you so much for your report. And yeah, it was fun. Yeah, I have heard about your C cycle, but yeah, that's fun. That's fun. You two have fun. I love it. I love it so much. 33 Jane, and thank you so much, Jim, for checking in and have fun. Have fun out there on Dan Lake. Woo hoo. All right, next and last on this list is James just outside of Detroit. And the last part of your call sign is WW. I always forget to write down the whole thing even though I know it's like W4WW. That's not what it is. But James, please come ahead with your report. Net control, W8WW. Good evening, Rebecca and everyone on the net. I just got home. I'm playing 16 hours on P25. Got another 16 planned for tomorrow. Don't know if I mentioned this before. I have an ICOM ID5100. And I found out that RT Systems now allows you to light your settings to the SD card rather than having a programming cable. And I've been setting everything up with that, which is a hell of a lot easier than using the ICOM software. I mean, I spent the meager funds to purchase the software. And in, I'd say, 30 minutes, it was able to give me everything I need. That was taking me over two hours struggling with the ICOM software. But, yeah, I had some discussions with various parties about my uncle's estate today. So, looks like I'm going to try to sell the two ICOM 706s. I have one's a Mark IIG and the other's, I believe, just a Mark II on that. So I've got to get those listed for sale. I think one of them is going to have the ICOM antenna tuner for screwdriver antennas. I don't think it's made by ICOM. But that and the other, I probably might package the head separation kit and go from there. But I need to get things going on that. But nothing else here. Oh, yeah. I had an incident on a ladder over the past month, twice. Turns out I have an occult fracture in my fibia, which I guess is the same thing as called an airline fracture. But they call it the occult because it's usually not visible on the x-ray, but the MRI picked it out. So with that, we'll send it back to you, Rebecca. W8WU here outside Detroit. Be sure to gloss over that last part, James. So is it so that you injured yourself on the first fall and then the second fall was just like icing on the cake? Also, why are you falling? What's going on? What's going on with you, James? Why are you falling off the ladders? Back to you. Okay, Rebecca, I have to wait there. I guess somebody had an open carrier for a moment. So the reason why I was up on the ladder twice, one was braced to the side of the house as I was trying to adjust the mounting. I was able to eventually get my dual-band base station antenna up about 20 to 25 feet above the roof line and finally got that taken care of. But the first time, the hinges on this new ladder for some reason didn't lock in, so the ladder collapsed inward. So the top of the ladder went away from the house and so I fell backwards. The second time, I was on the side of the house coming down from the roof and it collapsed lower where it was just clinging to the gutter. When that happened, one of my legs fell through in between the rungs, so I was rather calm on everything. I was working myself because I have a trailer behind me. I was trying to see if I could get my leg out and then jump back onto the roof of the trailer. But that didn't come to being because the ladder eventually slipped. I was hanging on the end of the gutters there. Luckily, somebody attached them to the side of the house with some pretty strong nails because this was near the furthest edge of the house. But the thing is that it folded over into an A-shape below me and I had the current Mrs. Keller where the ladder below me was able to drop down to the bottom of the ladder. So at one point or the other, it happened. Also, it tore the hell out of my left shoulder. I think that probably was from the hanging part. But I visited the orthopedic surgeon on Monday to see what he recommends. The pain and walking, that's totally disappeared, but this shoulder really makes you reminded me of the pain. Back to neck control, W8WW here outside Detroit. James, oh my gosh. Well, you know, I would talk to you about ladder safety, but why bother? We all passed our technician exams and became amateur radio operators. There's a whole section on ladder safety, so that's all I'm going to say. But anyway, James, thank you so much for your report. I love your P25 reports. I feel like one of our regular operators, Andrew, KF7LMX, this is P25 a lot as well. I have to give that, that has more to do with trains, I think. But I love hearing your P25 reports. That's great, James. It's good to hear from you. I hope that someone goes to your house and takes all your letters and throws them in a dumpster that you'll never find. But only, yes, I guess we can't all have what we wish for. 7-3, James. Stay off the ladders. Alright, this is Rebecca, KK7IJZ. You're listening to the 9 p.m. PSRG social net. Let's start another round. Call sign and name, RF and internet. KF7, OK. Doug. What's up, Doug? KF7, OK. Got you on the list. More stations, please. Alpha, Bravo 6. Mike, Bravo. Jeff. Hey, Jeff. Got you on the list. More stations, please. KK7WID, Allen in Bremerton. Hey, Allen. Did you want to, did you need to go ahead and go or do you want to stay in queue? I can stay in queue. Cool. More stations, please. KG7ODB. Hey, Steve. Got you on the list. More stations, please. Keto, Bravo 5. Tango, Whiskey Golf. Tony with an I-hope. Thank you for your I-O. Got you on the list. I-073. Have a great Friday. Thursday night, Friday. I don't know whether it's... Anyway, Jeff. Thank you for your I-073. I'm going to go ahead and draw a line there and go back to Doug. KF7OK, what's going on, Doug? Hey, how you doing? KF7OK. Doug is home in near Linwood. So I'm on grid. I actually have hot and cold running water and electricity. And so thank you for hosting the net and everything and I enjoy listening to everybody. I actually listen a whole lot more than I check in, so, you know, I'm just going to check in more. Life's been good. I'm still chopping some wood that I brought back from my off-grid property and stacking it. I'm kind of slow put together. I'm usually a bit more active when I'm out there, but, you know, slow put together. And yesterday I took today off from it, but I've been logging my workouts for the last seven years. I decided one day I rolled out of bed, I felt like crap. And I thought that, you know what, I'm going to start working out again like I did in my 20s and 30s. And I, without any breaks or anything, I've not taken any breaks in the last seven years, I completed workout number 2,700 and I'm up to, you know, 2,701. So I thought I feel really good. I can make a long list of everything that it fixed in me. No meds, no nothing, perfectly healthy. I'm as strong as I was 30 years ago, literally, and everybody should do it. Other than that, enjoy some ham radio and a little bit of time and I look forward to working in my yard tomorrow. So back to you, KF7OK. Well done. Thank you so much for that report. And yes, 2,701. That's great. Just chopping. What? Just getting slow. You know what? That's fine. Why do you need to go fast? Just go slow. Chop wood slow. Deliver it. Like meditation. You know, just stacking, working in the garden and just being strong. Well, welcome back to Linwood, Doug. And yes, I hope that you get to go back to your off-grid paradise sometime soon. Back to no running water and yes, back to peace and quiet. Back to not Linwood. But anyway, Doug, thank you so much for your report. 73 and I'm looking forward to hearing about workout number 2,702 tomorrow. Next on the list is Jeff in Onion City. How's it going, Jeff? Alpha Bravo Six Mike Bravo, KK7IJZ. Thank you, Rebecca. Thank you for doing the net. Excuse me. Yeah, today, I see a pretty just not a really busy day. Just kind of kick back. And, you know, well, the squirrels were around, you know, so it's fun watching them eating and eating the nuts and the peanuts. And Rocky came by later on and looked in the window at me and, you know, got him some nuts. And, you know, just pretty nice to see them chase each other. They can really move. And I kind of watched the tour de France, the men and women's version of it. And, you know, the women have a different flair on the way they do it. And it's just kind of cool. It's just the difference, I think, intensity. But they definitely are intense, but it just seems like they're, I don't know, it just has, they have a different feel for it. And they're darn good. So anyway, I hit the temperature today, hit around 80 today. And the warmest was better in a few days. And I'm hoping that I'll see tomorrow, supposed to be 84 and 85 the next day than 81. And it's going down into the 70s after that. And I have this quake detector up that I use on my phone that I have over here. And I can glance at it and see what earthquakes have been hitting. They have different alarms set to make noise, but it's called California Seismologist. And it's kind of neat to have there just to see what's going on around the world, earthquake-wise. And then I went over some history today and enjoying that quite a bit because I really enjoy history. I actually watched this program, I haven't finished it. Leonardo da Vinci designed a chateau for this one French king. And just the way he did it was just amazing. And he put all the plans down and then he died before they could start. But they went ahead anyway. And I guess it was pretty amazing just the detail and what he's done. Leonardo da Vinci was simply an amazing man. And I got my weather stations going here. I have a couple of them up. One is from the patio, gives you the temperature and very magnetic pressure. And then the other one does the forecast and wind speed and all that. It's kind of neat to have them both up and I kind of keep an eye on the weather out there that way. And for tonight I had dinner of buttered chicken with brown rice. I got this frozen buttered chicken meal. And I have these bags of brown rice that you can heat up. You know, it's quick to make and I just take the buttered chicken and I pour it over the top of the brown rice. And it's really good. It's just a good tasty meal. I can make two meals out of it which is pretty nice. Anyway, that was my day today. So let me turn it back to the net. AB6MB. KG6RYC. I don't know how much time I have left but one last message out. It seems I'm like a hockey puck or something. Being used in a game, I don't know what the game is called, I don't know, baseball or something, by the Billionaire Boys Club. And these are all kinds of degenerates and stuff like Rauhoti Rahim and Larry Page and all kinds of dumbasses. And now I have a whole, I've been having to deal with two police car chases a day. And now they're shining their lights on me where my thingy shack is. It's unlikely that I'll get out of this alive but yeah, good. KG6RYC. Sorry, you get on with your lives. I'll just die quietly. Back to the net. Well Jeff, thank you so much for your report. I appreciate it. Thank you for the squirrel report. Jack, that was KG6RYC. Patrick. I, yeah, butter chicken. Tonight I made this really great stir fried veggies and then I made some white beans. And then what I do is I'll make a big pot of brown rice and then just like givvy it up and freeze it. So I can take out a portion for whatever meal I need. I guess I think that I'm the only one now who eats rice in the house. Everyone else is on a diet. Well thank you so much Jeff. And did you want to promote your antenna net that's happening tomorrow? Back to you Jeff. Alpha Bravo 6, Mike Bravo, KK7IJZ. KG6RYC, Patrick. I've been told one of the participants is Dubai Chocolate. I went to a neighbouring 7-Eleven near my home, one-five-eight-six-one, north of 8th. And there's one of the certain place jobs. And he's saying in front of him was Dubai Chocolate. I've never seen that brand before. You're the motherfucker. So the light is now shining on me. Bravo. Bye. KG6RYC. Have a nice life. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7 November. Okay. Yeah the antenna net is every Friday night at 7pm. And we have a special time for new hams on there. And if you want to know how to get there, go to my QRZ page and it will tell you to scroll down and then you'll be able to come in via different modes. So back to you there Rebecca, AB6MB. Well thank you so much for that, Beth. And yeah, it's such a great net too. So Jeff is super active on the Papa system in Southern California. And so his antenna net is in the Papa system. So check it out even if you just listen or it's for all sorts of ham radio operators. It's seasoned operators and new hams. And yeah it's a great technical net that happens every Friday 7 o'clock Pacific time. And you can find a link to the net on Jeff's website. I'm not website. QRZ page. QRZ page Alpha Bravo 6 Mike Bravo. Well thanks for coming back with that Jeff. I appreciate it. 7 3 and thank you for the scroll report. Alright next on the list is Alan in Bremerton. KK7WID. Please come ahead with your report. This is Alan in KK7WID. I've been awfully busy all summer. I'm a teacher normally so I'm a summer. I should have lots of free time but I'm busy all summer doing a remodel in the bathroom which is finally done. So I am now able to actually enjoy having a great summer. KF7OK or what's KF6OK? I mentioned working out again and it's been nice now that I'm done with that to actually get back to the gym and sweat and work out. I forgot how much I enjoy the feeling of finishing a workout. Sometimes doing the workout itself is a little unpleasant. But the feeling you get when the workout is done is really really nice. They're not lying when they talk about a runner's high. And I'm looking forward now to enjoying the rest of my summer vacation. Now that that project is done I'm able to do some working out. I helped my daughter move into their college apartment and I hope to have a little bit of time off here before I've got to get back to the grind of teaching students how to make music when school starts. Back to that KK7WID. Well Alan thank you so much for your report. Are you reading any last minute books before you start back to teaching? Back to you Alan. Just every night the tradition that my wife and I have is every night when we go to bed I read her a couple chapters of whatever book we're on. So it's always just fiction. The current one is the first novel in the Lady of Devices series. But it's just fun fiction just to have someone to read to put us all to bed to. I don't have any professional reading this summer. Just taking it easy. Back to that KK7WID. Yep that's what I was fishing for. Well that's great. I love that. Yeah well that's great. Well congratulations on getting the bathroom done. How fun. It's like you don't even realize how much time you spend in the bathroom until you realize how much time you spend in your bathroom. Right? But yeah and daughter off to college. All of these things. Yes. Well yeah well thank you so much for checking in Alan. I appreciate it. And also keep us in the know of all of your upcoming gig dates too. I know that sometimes you do. Yeah I know that sometimes you do gigs on your own. So yeah let us know. And it's great to hear from you Alan. Have a wonderful rest of your summer. And enjoy working out and sweating. You and Doug KF7 OK. Maybe y'all can go and chop wood together and just get. Chop wood and just big arms. Anyway. 7-3 Alan. You'll have a good night and clear the stage to your wife. Alright next on the list is Dean. KG7ODB33. I'm 33 not 33. 88. All the hugs to Dean. Dean. Please come ahead with your report. Good evening Rebecca and everybody on the net. This is Dean KG7ODB. Near Bitter Lake in North Seattle. So I think over the weekend when you me and Matt went to have ice cream. I think that was I think that was something you set up with Jack to get ice cream on everybody's mind. Because you probably heard on a couple of the other nets. That was kind of the subject like people would bring up ice cream. Specifically our little get together and I think it got people hungry for ice cream. And that's going to drive up attendance to the ice cream social this weekend on Sunday. Anyway. So I'm just sitting here I'm watching the Seahawks game. Again I heard Brooks is there. I guess he's pretty lucky to be there. It's a nice night to be down at the stadium. But it's pre-season. It's one of these games that doesn't matter. It's just an exhibition game. But it's the first one of the year. And there are a whole bunch of new players that we've never seen before. So it gives us a chance to see them. So we're getting you know we're in the fourth quarter now. It started late. It started at seven. Seahawks are winning 23 to 13. I almost said Oakland Raiders but it's the Las Vegas Raiders. And it's interesting because the Raiders their coach is Pete Carroll who used to be our coach. And their quarterback although their quarterback Geno Smith only played in the first quarter. Yeah he used to be our quarterback. And so some familiar faces is kind of a homecoming for those people. But I think one of the stars of the show not the game is Marshawn Lynch because he's been roaming around the sidelines with a camera with a big telephone. And he was up in the booth a little while ago. So anyway it's fun to have football back. So anyway this is Dean KG 7 ODB back to that."},{"callsign_confidence":0.9199999999999999,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T21:18:35+00:00","id":15679,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15678,"text":" Good evening. It's 9 o'clock and time for the 9 o'clock net for Saturday, August 9th, 2025. I'm Jack, KI7RMU. I'll be your host for tonight. Co-hosting with me tonight is our special co-host, Dean, KG70DB. Dean, KG70DB over at Bitter Lake. How are you tonight, sir? Good evening, Jack and everyone on the net. I am doing well. This is Dean, KG70DB. I look forward to hosting the net with you tonight and we're filling in for Bill and Rich who are traveling. Back to you. Alright, well if they're listening in tonight, I'm sure they've got the shock of their life. I cannot believe it, Dean. You're here and I'm just so happy to have you. So thank you so much. We'll do our best, Rich and Bill. This is a directed social net that happens on the WW7PSR 2-meter repeater, which is located on Capitol Hill in Seattle and operated by the Puget Sound Repeater Group. The repeater operates at a frequency of 146.96 with a negative offset and a P-O tone at 103.5. All licensed cams and new licensees just getting started are welcome to join. If you have third party traffic, we'd like to hear from them too. We encourage you to press that button, tell us a little bit about yourself, your radio project or just about anything else. Please limit your reports to three minutes so we can get as many stations in as possible. When you're finished with your report, please enter your call sign. That'll keep the FCC happy. We'll be compiling lists of stations we'd like to check in and then we'll ask for your report. If you'd like to check in only, just let us know. You'll be in and out, also known as an article. Let's get the net started. Come ahead now with your call sign name please for round one. Kilo, 9, Echo, Hotel Victor, K-89, EHP, Anne and Sam, Robert, Juliet, Juliet, 7, Romeo, Alpha, Bravo, Cammy, We've got Anne starting us off. We've got Robert and Cammy, our hosting team for the new net tomorrow at the Rain or Shine Net Ice Cream Social. Thank you very much Robert and Cammy. And bye more stations please for the 9 o'clock net round one. Bye Matt. Alright on RF Matt I've got you KJ7WQI more stations. W8WW James here outside Detroit. Mikey needles. Alright we're gonna say we got James outside Detroit and I've got the needle station. I think that's UCL is that Bob I think. That's alright. KQCC will see Mikey and the needle's arena. Thank you. Thank you very much. Oh yeah that's right. Sorry Mike I haven't spoken to you personally for a while so yeah sorry there I've got you on the list. Alright let's hold there. I want to make sure we get to hear from Dean as much as possible tonight. And Dean stand by we'll get through this route. We'll hand it over to you for round two. KA98V and good evening. KA98V and good evening. KA98V and good evening. Well I think the humiliation of this silly medical call in show wasn't enough four weeks ago. They rebroadcast the same show again with my horrible call on it. And so I got to listen to my dear Scott's emulation of my horrible call yet again. And I'm sitting here thinking my gosh how many more people have this one impression of me. It's like okay humiliation my humiliation is complete. Other than that I read through the book I wrote many years ago and published so that I can promote it at Worldcon. Read through it all again and played the harp a little bit. And that's about all I did for today. And so kind of a dull morning day. Anyway this is a 733388 to everybody. Thanks Jack and Dean for running the net. And thanks to everybody else for listening. I love you all. This is KA98V back to bed. Alright Anne hey real quick when does Worldcon start and is that here in Seattle? I can't remember if it's here or if it's at another venue just outside the city. Back to you Anne. Worldcon starts on Wednesday of this next week and it actually is at the convention center and the summit building. And you know all the places down in that main sort of convention area in downtown Seattle. KA98V. Alright well I hope you guys get to check in from there. If you can remember you have all star or echo on your phone. Well we'll hear about it soon enough and I cannot wait. Thank you so much Anne. Have a good night and say hi to the crowd. Want you please? KJ7JX I look forward to talking to Robert right now. Robert we have a big day ahead. Big day today I know. How are you sir? Go ahead. Well here is KJ7JX Ray Mike. Hello Robert. And Jack tomorrow can't come long enough away. Did that come out right? I am so tired and I need an extra day but I am kind of ready for tomorrow. We didn't unload Cammy's rig from all the stuff at the Field of Wheels event so most of it is still in there. That's good. But we still got a few things to load up. Luckily we didn't use her go box radio so the battery will be fully charged because I was thinking about that. But I haven't charged up the EcoFlow so I'm sure it's going to have plenty of power still. The tablet has been running on battery power the last few days and we've been using it. I'm going to make sure I'm bringing the camera to that. And my name came on the charger so people will know who I am because that's always been a huge problem. You know what I mean? But I'm excited for it nonetheless. It's going to be a fantastic day. I am so utterly exhausted from working the last two days on the business stuff. I'm out fitting those two vans with inverters. That went really well. Nice and smooth as I had expected it to. It's less materials than I thought in some situations and not enough materials than I thought in other situations. I still got to work on getting some ducts in a row at times to make sure I can do these things smoothly without having to run down to the Ace Hardware, aka Arlington Hardware, and buy some parts. Although on a good note, I did get my tax exempt account set up with them so I can buy parts to resell from them. So that's very nice. Other than that, not a whole lot else to report, Jack. Just a great day out running around, getting things done, vehicles delivered, and having an amazing dinner with my beautiful, amazing other half. So I look forward to seeing you, Jack, and looking forward to some ice cream and wishing Brooks and Megan a very happy congratulations on their amazing joint adventure. Yeah, we'll call it that. Thanks, Jack. So excited for you to host, my friend. And I'll be sleeping, but maybe Kami will reach out to you around. The days have been changed. Back to you two. Alright, Robert. Another successful day. Now you just have to wrap it up with a successful adventure in sleep. So you get to sleep soon. We'll see you tomorrow at Green Lake. Looking forward to it. Alright, well, speaking of Kami, let's do that now. KJ7REP. Hi, Kami. Well, good evening, and everyone out there on the net, I'm here, KJ7REP. Yes, I don't know. I'm sorry to get into that good day, but that's not in the cards, so you're up with what you got. So, Jack, Robert finally took me to the balloon. We went there this evening after dinner, and we saw where the park area is where you can activate as a photo park, but we didn't have a chance to actually venture into the park area. But we've scouted things out, we've made our plans, and so hopefully one of these days soon we can host the net from that location. So, more to come. I took the balloon to the boat while we were out there, and it's a pretty cool area. You know, I've seen it from the freeway for a long time. I've been driven by it, but I've just never been out on those little back roads. Robert took us on a ride out there this evening, and it was nice. I'm looking forward to it. Looking forward to tomorrow as well. So, we'll be here soon and beyond thrilled that Dina's co-hosting with you this evening. I'm so excited to hear you at the hotel side. You'll be amazing. And, yeah, so I'll be listening. Robert will probably fall asleep first. I'll be listening to the human fall asleep as fast as he does. I'm so envious. It's so hard for me to fall asleep, and he can fall asleep mid-sentence. So, there you go. Thanks for hosting. Thanks for getting us in, and, Dina, I'm so happy that you'll be hosting, and I'll be listening. All the numbers tables KJ7 are eight feet back to net control. All right, KJ7, you have a good night. I hope you get enough sleep, and we'll see you tomorrow at Green Lake. We're really looking forward to it. And, Dean, no pressure. No pressure. You'll do just great. Well, of course, Dean has got lots of experience with the radio. He's been all over the place. If he does stuff, I don't even get in. So, anyway, we'll talk to him in just a few minutes. Let's get back to the radio now. Around one o'clock here on the PSR, I'm Jack, I'm you. Go talk to Matt. I think he's in our upland. KJ7, do you like him?"},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-10T21:14:51+00:00","id":16027,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16026,"text":" Nothing heard. I am Brian, KA7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock on the Puget Sound Repeater Group repeater in Seattle, Washington. Let's go ahead and get our first report here of the night. Ann, how are you tonight? KA9EHB, please give us a report. Well, this is KA9EHB. Good evening to everybody on the net. As hard as I tried to do nothing today, I ended up playing through all my Christmas carols and finally deciding on what I swear, absolutely swear, is the final list that now has one non-seasonal piece per each set of 12. And so that's cool. And so I think I'm happy with it now. It leaves a little more practice, but that's not too bad. So in spite of my attempt to do absolutely nothing this afternoon, I did actually write and I did actually do the playing of the Christmas practicing. And that's about it. Got to listen to my dear sweet husband, all the names in the genealogy of Noah. That's always fun. He gave me a gift. He read the whole nine chapters of First Chronicles and it's absolutely gorgeous. Someday I have to get a tape recorder and get a recording of him reading that. I love the genealogy. So anyway, that's about all the news that is news. 73, 33, 88. All the numbers. Thanks to Brian for running the net. Thanks to all of you for listening. This is KA9. I love you all. This is KA98. Be my connect. Well, despite your attempts to do nothing, it sounds like you were quite productive there. So I'll be curious in a future report what the non-seasonal ones are within those Christmas carols there. But hey, very good. Never too late to get those lists going for sure. So happy harping and very cool of your husband there. Yeah, get a recording of it. So all right. Thanks for that check in there, Ann. Have a great night and we'll catch you down the lot here. All right. Up next on the nine o'clock net is going to be Lisa. How are you doing tonight? KC7BYJ. Please give us a report. Well, good evening to you and all. I want to echo link. I had intended to get onto a new valve phone, a 5R, but I, you know, headed off to a lonely place to do a little bit of wood setting with a very beginner trumpet person. And so I don't want other people to be subjected to my practice. And so brought along the radio and figured, OK, well, just program in the numbers and wait. No, it's about fun. It's not so easy. So I went to echo link. I was at the Rainer sign today and also, you know, the wedding celebrations or marriage celebration, I guess, more accurately for Megan and my brain is not working and maybe the other half. And well, unless you count the dogs and then there's lots of pieces. But it was lovely and I was expecting it was going to be really hot, but they had an area that was surrounded on kind of a U-shaped surrounded by tall trees, everything but the north. So we were cool the whole day. I was astonished and it was wonderful. So that's what I've got for you. And also, many thanks to you, Brian, for taking the in-outs first. That makes such a big difference. OK, KC7BYJ, neck to neck. Hey, good stuff. Guess it was Megan, K9MLR and Brooks, K9TC, who you were thinking of there. Also very, very cool. Thanks for the report on that. I was not able to make it out today, but I'm hoping to get some good ice cream reports and Megan and Brooks reports today. So keep them coming, keep them coming. So glad you're able to practice that trumpet and a good on you for not subjecting others listening to it. Big violinist myself, I even try to make sure I put on that practice mute so I'm not super annoying to everyone. It kind of dampens the sound quite a bit there. So good stuff there. Thank you so much for stopping by tonight, Lisa, with that report. We'll catch you down the log here. All right. We have two more on this round. Next up, James, how are you doing tonight? And thanks for coming back with your call. I think at least three times. Whiskey eight, whiskey, whiskey, please give us a report. Metcalfe, W8WW, good evening. As a matter of fact, I literally just walked in the house. Not much to report here. Had a, what they call it a solar generator. I call it a battery power box, whatever you want to call it, or an inverter. Had a, one about the size of a large lunch box. And even though it's slightly disappointed on its size, if it puts out what it needs to, I'll be happy. So we'll leave it at that. Back to neck control, W8WW. Very good stuff there, James. I think you echo my sentiment. I've gone off on a rant, maybe not on the air, but I don't like that they call those generators because in my mind, they don't generate anything. They store electricity. It is a big battery. And even though they're designed to be charged off of solar panel, you don't have to charge them that way. They can be charged any which way, off your car alternator or the AC on the wall. And I, it's, I'm just going to rant for a second. It's annoying that you go to Home Depot or go on their website and type in the word generator and all these batteries show up. And it's like, that's not a generator. I digress. I digress. Anyway, I hope it does work out for you. I've got a big EcoFlow lunch. I can even, I daisy changed their 400 watt solar panel. It'd be a lot of fun there. So yeah, I hope it all works out for you. Let us know how it goes and we'll catch you down the log. They're glad you made it home safe there, James. And last on this go around, Charlie, good to see you at the meeting yesterday online. KC2STO, please give us a report."},{"callsign_confidence":0.8200000000000001,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-12T21:30:04+00:00","id":16527,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16526,"text":" Yeah, definitely pretty clear I think that some of the smoke that's in the air. Fortunately at a very high elevation, probably affecting some of the... probably affecting some of the... you know, the color of the sunset and all that during the day as well. Uh, yeah, so the... and definitely a warm day. 91, 92 degrees in various areas. Probably setting some records. Definitely not something we typically get around here, although that's increasingly less the case. So, uh, yeah, thanks for stopping by. Alright, let's go to Janes, W8, WW. Janes, please come ahead. Inact Control, W8, WW. Good evening to Paul and everyone. So, sent a message to our... from President here in Livonia asking to see if we can link our repeater with the PSR for one or two of the nets. So we just need to figure out how to get permission to do that. Just to give her low exposure and maybe it'll increase the muse to her repeater. Take up the RT solutions software for my ID5100. And I now have my dual-driven tunnel about 20 feet above the roofline. I'm going to lower that down next time I get, especially if I can get my nephew to help me. Um, Amazon has some steel wire or aluminum wire, whatever it is, and I think I'm going to want a couple guidelines at the top. Um, it was like 100 feet for like 17 bucks. Since this is just a simple dual-band antenna, I really don't need to have the thickness on the wire and everything. But, um, what I did with the RT systems software is I... There we go. We're back on. I, um, have all these systems added through radio reference. And out of 140-some repeaters, I was able to key up about 40 of them. So I sent a separate key listing or cell listing for that. And then it's sorted by that cell listing. So the first 39 or 40, um, memories of repeaters I can actually reach, which is not bad. I purchased about 800 feet of two-layer, 12-gauge solid copper. And I tied those ends together, and I'm using that as a unique cable from the Blitzbug down to my, um, from the Lightning Oyster down to my grounding lab. And, you know, and, uh, once we had some torrential rains today, so once, uh, I get the next day off, go down, trim the wires so that everything is at, uh, minimum, uh, length. Which is the fastest way to ground, uh, on that. And go from there. Funny thing is somebody had a, somebody had a app online or online, uh, calculator that two 12-gauge, tied together is equivalent of a 9-gauge. So I found that interesting, um, on that. So, um, other than that, I did some cooking today. Quick, uh, quick meals for this and next week. Uh, cubed potatoes, I put those in the bottom of a big, big, uh, cooking pot. Then I browned some country-style pork ribs, put those on top. Then I covered all that with five pounds, yes, there's no, no stutter here, five pounds of sauerkraut. And that's been simmering now for about three to four hours. And, uh, that'll, uh, that'll be my meal, my meals for the week. So back to net control, W8WW. Alright, well that does sound tasty and, uh, previously what you were describing there with your antenna system sounds like some good plans for you to, uh, really make some, uh, improvements to your station. So thanks for sharing that, James. Hope, uh, all is well and the torrential rains, uh, cease for you. I heard that, uh, some pretty intense rain out there in the Midwest. So, uh, 73 to you, you have a great, uh, rest of your night. Alright, uh, 923 Pacific time here. Uh, here at 9 o'clock net, I'm Paul K7PJP, your 9 o'clock net host for Tuesday night. Let's go ahead and get another round of, uh, check-ins. Call to find the names all I need from you. KK79, are you there? I'm at K7, dangle, gall. Alright, uh, there were, uh, there was a double there. I've got KK79JZ, uh, Rebecca, and I heard a tango golf, I believe, uh, to the tango golf station. Try again. Alpha Echo 7, dangle, and golf. Low power. Alright, uh, A7TG, uh, can I get our name to go along with the call? My name is Alan at Dashpoint, State Park. Alright, Alan, gotcha coming in pretty good for low power there from Dashpoint. Um, alright, gotcha second on the list there. Uh, Moore Station, call and name. This is Alpha Echo 7, 9 Bravo, hot school, my God, good. November 3, hot school, my God, good. Elaine, hello, Paul. Hello, Elaine. I've got, uh, you on the list. Uh, I've also got Jeff, AP6MB, who I've got on the line before you. I heard him first. Uh, so I've got AP6MB, and then I've got N3OMO. Uh, and then, uh, anyone else? Call sign and name, please. KJ7WQI, Matt. Alright, uh, EMT and Matt, uh, you are also on the list. Anyone else? Call and name, please. KJ7WQ, recheck. Alright, uh, Mike, gotcha down for a recheck. Uh, KJ7WQ. Okay, well maybe he'll try to reconnect and we can get him back in. Let's try Bill, KC5WFH. Bill, go ahead. Alright, thank you Jack. We had to wait for him to settle down there and move in. We're over at Paul's Point right now. Just finished off our meals. The world is here. We're having a good time. And now this is pretty smooth. So, we'll all wait back and have a good time. Alright, Josh. Alright Bill, now is this the Kitsap County, is this the little breakfast meeting that they do? Or wait, sorry, no, I guess it would be the noon meeting. Or is this another group? I cannot remember which group this is. And hi, KC7WI. Hey John, good to hear you. Back to you Bill, KC5WFH. Well, see, no Jack, this is just a group of guys just being together. We've been doing it for a year on a small group of fellas, all hens. And we've come to various restaurants, we've been living there for a year or two or three and we move on to another restaurant. So right now, we tried the Kings Wash in Silverdale, hung with them for a while. We're over at the Clearwater Casino, they had great food. They shut it down, we moved on. And now we're at the Andy's here in Paul's. Phil and Hunter, that's the way it's been. There's four of us now, we've seen this meeting six or seven in the past. But people have been gone for a while. Gary, KC5WFH. Alright Bill, hey, all you guys, have a great afternoon and thank you for dropping by. And again, hello John, KC7WI, great to hear you guys. Alright, let's continue on. We have an I-O from Raleigh, so what we're going to do is go back and see if we can find Tim back there in Virginia. See if he's had a chance to key up again. And let's see if he's back on the air. KI7ZEI, Tim. Alright Jack, thanks for coming back for me. I have a little bit of a computer glitch there. I'm having a couple of types here today. So it's making the notable noise as he walks up. So I had to remove the battery and start all over again and here I am. So I'm in Virginia, which is just southeast of Washington, DC. And I'm spending a few days up here with some friends. Early in the week I did do a couple of customer visits by the Boston area. And then I went down to Pennsylvania and Connecticut, visited the grocery factory, all that kind of good stuff. So I toured for a couple of days and that was kind of nice. But it was hot, it's been 90. Today it's a little cooler, it's about 87 in cloudy. So it doesn't feel so bad, but we were just a little bit above your temperatures for the last few days. And I managed to catch myself a cold. Yes, yes. I'm pretty sure if I have any air-cast to do something. I'm pretty much ready to go and take us in over to Canada and lots of fluids and all that kind of good stuff. So I'm feeling better. Hopefully I'll be all recovered. Coming back tomorrow night at 8 o'clock, 8 p.m. And I guess that's kind of my tip. My voice will hopefully be improved by then. This morning I can hardly talk it out. But thanks for that and catch you all later. KI7 or Z. Alright Tim, well hey, thanks for catching us up. You go take care of yourself, get some rest before you travel back to Seattle. We'll see you maybe this weekend. We do have the PSARA, I think on our shoreline Sunday. So that's going to be fun. I hope you get a chance to come up there. I think I'll head up there myself. And maybe take some old Collins gear that is just beautiful. Oh man, so nice. Anyway, alright Tim, nice to hear you. And we had a great time at the Ice Cream Social. What a blast. We missed you. But I know you'll make the next one. Alright, let's see what's out there if you'd like to join us on the new net today here on the WW7PSR 2 meter. We're here in Seattle, Washington. Come head now. RF internet local or internationally connected stations on All Star or Echo Link. Name and call. This is W-8. This is short W-U-W-U. James, you're outside Detroit. Alright James, I've got you. I think I heard Brooks say short time. Let's go to Brooks. K9 BDC Brooks. Good afternoon. Good afternoon Jack and everyone. I'm BDC Brooks here. Mobile northbound on 99 in Seattle. I'm going to be going into the tunnel here in about 30 seconds. So thank you for getting me in. It's nice and cool off a bit here today. Definitely a little more comfortable being out and about. But anyway, let's see what is new. Working on getting my office slash shack put back together. The new desks are in place. The monitors are in place. I've got a few more furniture things to build in there. But I started putting the shack back together yesterday or at least locking up where things are going to go. And should have the 991A back up and functional this evening to run the net. The rest of the radio is still kind of working out all the details on where exactly they're going to go. So they can get possible shack layout performance. Thanks for taking my check in Jack. Good night BDC. Hey hold on a second. Are you in the tunnel yet? Because I've gone through a couple of tunnels in the area. And I've been able to transmit completely through them on the internet. So I'm going to see if you can come back. I see you're on RF. I want to see if you might be able to continue transmitting for just a few more seconds. This is repeater Jack. So I'm just pulling into the 99 tunnel. So I suspect you're going to stop hearing me in the radio now. Well he was right about that. Alright fantastic work. Hey you have a great afternoon. And you be safe out there. And good luck on your office. I tell you it was really coming along. And your new desks are oh man they are sweet. Alright well let's go back to James. James W8WW how are you sir? Alright well let's go back to James. James W8WW how are you sir?"},{"callsign_confidence":0.97,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-01T13:11:40+00:00","id":29929,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":29928,"text":" Net control, W8WW, good afternoon, Kirk. Name is James here outside Detroit. Just headed home after spending eight hours on the P25. So, it's a beautiful day out here. My God, I didn't think it was going to be in the 80s, but as soon as we're done here, I got to call my nephew and see if he'll come over and loosen some brackets on the side of the house. I put some guywares on my dual-band antenna, but in the process I lost one of the five-foot masks on it. So, we're going to just put that on the bottom and push or pull everything up. To get it stabilized. My 20 or 25 foot of mask is just leaning almost to the point of drooping. So, I put some 1-6-teeth wire rope on. That should do well enough just to keep everything at 90 degrees. But, yeah, the guy's talking about Windows 10 and 11 and that. Yeah, I'm waiting on some tough heads for some people. And we actually have about 25 of them on backorder that my supplier should have gotten. I would call it a fundraiser that the repeater group I'm part of does. But I'm the one who goes and installs Windows 10 and then ups all the Windows 11. But other than that, not much going on. Bought what I thought was a full tilt mount from RF Engineering. So, it turns out it was for a specific antenna and was only one half of the piece where the piece that comes with the antenna mates with that. So, I think I'm going to 86 the rotatable dipole and go with a five-band vertical once I get some things done. But other than that, nothing else going on here. Back to you Kirk. I've got to get out there. It takes a bigger connector than anything I have, you know the bracket to connect. It takes a bigger thing than any, bigger tube than I have at the moment. So I need to make a little adapter and I'll just put it up portable for first for grins and try it out. It's a 10 or 15 meter rotatable dipole and has the ends you can, you know, change the size so you can tune it. And yeah, but it sounds like you've got the five band vertical which that should definitely do the job. I mean, oh my God, that was the wonderful antenna to have up there. So hopefully that works well and you can get your leaning tower of antennas fixed up so it's all straight and square and off you go. And you mentioned a P25. What is that? Is that a car, an airplane, a truck? What is a P25?"},{"callsign_confidence":0.8200000000000001,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-01T12:57:26+00:00","id":29906,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":29905,"text":" Whiskey eight, whiskey whiskey, James you're outside Detroit."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-06T13:41:47+00:00","id":33541,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":33540,"text":" But I heard something like a KK7LMA activating at Lake Sammamish Park. At any rate, I put him as an IO so let's go back up to W8WW. James is what I heard and get his report for today. How are you doing? This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7 November Quebec November. Met Control W8WW. Good evening Kirk. Or good afternoon Kirk I should say. I'm too conditioned to the 9 o'clock net. The phone slipped on me and clicked off. I was trying to see if we could link PSR with our repeater up here outside Detroit for one of the time slots of the Met. I don't encourage that but our president says PSR has to link with us which I don't think everyone has the experience with Echo Link and linking up here but I'd really like to try to see if we can get that done and encourage people to use the Met. Before that, it's a balmy 64 here outside Detroit. In a few minutes I'm going to go up on a ladder and see if I can raise the dual band antenna. I have up another 10 or 15 feet. The guy wire is running to it and at least today maybe get the two rearward ones a little tensioned so I can get the antenna back to pointing through 90 degrees to the ground there. Right now it's drooping about 30 degrees. I'm just using some 1 1-16 inch cable since the antenna doesn't really have much of a wind load. I don't think I have to worry about that. All time will tell, time will tell. There's a regional swap coming up tomorrow about an hour's drive. I have to work but I'm so tempted to call in. I don't think I can justify that to the powers that be. Back to you Kirk. I lost you for a little bit where you said after you go up on the mast, what you had planned, go up and work on that mast, and then a conference tomorrow. And if I recall, that would be cool if I could go back on the log really quick. I recall you had a leaning mast that needed some shoring up and might have increased its height too. So any rate, sounds like you're still working on that. And conference coming up, that's always a drag, but on a Sunday, but okay. Maybe it'll be fun, I don't know. And the ICOM 706 on sale, so that ought to make people's ears perk up. I'll certainly look up that radio to see what it looks like. And Vibroplex Bug, that's fun. I have a Vibroplex I got at the Mike and Key meeting. It's really odd in that instead of having the black bass, it's got a tan bass. It's a really, I think it's a rather old key that I got for a really good price. And it turns out it's a side swiper. It's not iambic, and so I really like that. But I haven't taken it out for a spin yet. I did try. It'll still do the automatic beeps and dashes, but not dash, dash, or vice versa. But it was a little bit nerve-wracking, so I went back to my straight key. And good luck on the colonoscopy. I've done it before. It was actually rather relaxing, but I had a clean bill of health, so hopefully you'll get the same thing, and then you'll be super happy. Oh, the touchscreen thing. I've had the same thing happen online. You go to move it in your hand or set it down, and something happens on the screen and messes up everything you were doing. Sorry about that. But we got the report, so that's great. Good to hear from you, and have a great weekend. Let's see here. But I just got home after 16 hours today, finalizing my trip to Florida for next week for the Melbourne Hamfest. I got some more TuckPad tablets in. Well, good evening to you, Joan, and to the rest of the net. Well, I went to see my doctor today, and I have a mostly clean bill of health. There are a few values that aren't where they want her to be, want them to want where they, where she wants them to be. I knew I'd eventually get the sentence out. And so, Lili will try to address that over the next 90 days. And I guess, let's see, that was all I did. I've worked a little bit on the epic, the book that Bob calls the Sex Tufflets. I'm trying to finish the first one. I love the second one because it's got a cute, dewy-eyed 16-year-old E1. A 16-year-old is closer, actually, to 18 years in our time. The calendar they use in my rested universe is slightly different. E1, who ran away to join the Navy. I don't know how classic. And thinking that he'd get in good with his little unique talent, but he'd been raised in restaurants, which meant that he, of course, got put in the kitchen. Where else would you put a dewy-eyed just barely out of high school E1? Anyway, I want to get back to that book because he's a cute character. But I've got to finish the first one now. And other than that, not a whole lot happening here today. Anyway, K-733388, thanks Joan for doing the net. Thanks to all of you for listening. And I love you all. This is KA9EHV pack to net. And we all love you. And I wrote down cute, dewy-eyed, ran away to join the Navy. And then you said E1. And I have to say, when you graduate, if it's anything like the US Navy, when you graduate boot camp, you become an E2. And often when you graduate service school, you become an E3. So just throw that in there. And, yep. Cute and dewy-eyed. Thank you, Anne. 33. I always love your reports, especially when you're describing something you're in the midst of writing. So take care. Next on the list we have W8W8WW. Yes, I can't read my own handwriting. James, I think you're in the village on the river, La Ville-a-trois, Detroit. I forget exactly if you're in Detroit or not. If you or any rallyers need a Panasonic Toughbook, W8WW has at least one, I think, new used, new in box, something like that, Toughbook that might be a good suitable tool for the field. Yeah, in St. Helens, Oregon, I bet it's a lot of fun, and I'm gonna go to the website just to check the dates. If it's the next few months, it's terrible for me, but maybe if it's early next year, that'd be a fun little getaway. So, yeah, I know that you and others like Brooks and stuff have talked about some of the rally stuff you've got involved in. It sounds like a blast, so thank you for the heads up.
