Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to pick it up as a topic, but yeah, couldn't help but chime in a little bit on that. So yeah, I guess I'll mention a couple of quick things. I noticed probably about a week and a half ago, the astronomy community made an announcement that I thought was pretty interesting. The bright star P2 thing, the constellation of Orion. We've always thought for, I don't know, probably centuries that it was a binary because it dims periodically, you know, it shifts in brightness up and down. And I think that the belief is generally this may be the function of being a binary star system. Well, some pretty clever people used some interesting advanced mathematics to go after discerning some images of what appears to be the other star in that system. And you can look at those online. I couldn't point to a web link, but if you do a search on Betelgeuse in the news, you're apt to find it. And I see that some scientists have nicknamed it the bracelet. It's appearing as something that's kind of like all Betelgeuse is wearing it. You know, it's so close. But I thought I'd share that. And I know you don't have a topic particularly, but I'd love to hear what other human beings out there listening to your show are doing with AI. I'm very curious to hear that. So if anyone wants to check out what people are doing, W2JLS passed it back. And Graham, thank you so much for having me. I've enjoyed it as usual. But I don't imagine we'll get a lot of volumetering generated with that, but if I can entertain the conversation using email, I'm happy to do that. Yeah. Very good, sir. Well, I know you've got many callers probably lining up to get behind me and having fun with you and the rest of the net. But thank you for what you do out there with the International Radio Network. Ceres can be spotted low to the south after midnight. Ceres is in the constellation of Cetus shining at magnitude 8.4. We got Pluto rising about 553 PM by month's end. The best time to spot Pluto is around midnight when it is highest in the sky to the south. Pluto is in the constellation of Capricornus shining at magnitude 15.1. Actually now is a good time to spot Pluto because the moon will not interfere. However, clouds will and the smoke out here in the west as well will definitely interfere with viewing Pluto but the moon will not. You will definitely need to get away from sea lights and get under dark skies and need at least a 12 to 15 inch telescope to spot it. As always, good luck in spotting Neptune, Ceres and Pluto. Our telescope and dark skies will be needed. Now, a 5 inch telescope will put out Neptune pretty well. Ceres may be an 8 inch telescope. Pluto is definitely around the 12 to 15 inch or better in size and lots of patience. Okay, we are at the tail end of a couple of meteor showers. The northern delta Aquarius meteor shower extends from July 16th through September 10th. Maximum occurred back on the 13th. So you may be able to catch a few of those over the next couple of weeks. There will be very few. The Perseus meteor shower, you may be some of those lingering but that was from July 23rd through August 22nd. That peaks back on the 12th. Yep, you may be able to see some of those stragglers but it is pretty much over for that. We do have a comet, comet C2024E1, which is passing through the constellation of Hercules this month shining around 12 magnitude. So a 10 inch scope or better will be needed to spot that one end under dark skies. Again, more patience for sure. Okay, that is it for the local astronomical news. This is KI0A control for the Colorado Astronomy. Got a few check ins to acknowledge. Yep, WB4AIZ we checked in. You are number 12 on the list. We got you. We have seen a lot of action over on YouTube so let me get that one in. We have a bunch of action over there. I am trying to catch up with everybody. Oh, alright. We have a lot of action over there. And speaking of which, you can do that, you can also check out some of my past Colorado astronomy nets as well. So, this is K-0-A, our net control for Colorado astronomy net. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7, November Quebec November, All Star Node 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. All right, W2JLS, thanks for checking in tonight and on YouTube. Cool. There you go. I'm going to go ahead, I'll look for check-ins a little bit later on. For those of you who may be waiting to check in, you can check in via Net Logger if you have Net Logger and look for the Colorado astronomy net. Or if you have YouTube, you can check in via YouTube as well. And I'll see you pop up an edge. Right now, I'm going to go ahead and get into the local astronomical news for this last week of September. We had the phases of the moon. We had the new moon on the 21st. We got a first quarter moon coming up on the 29th. For those of you who have clear skies, it's quite overcast here and raining here in Colorado. For those of you who may have clear skies, you may want to take a look towards the west to see a nice thin crescent moon before it sets over the western horizon. This is two days after new moon, so it's going to be setting pretty quickly if it hasn't already set. Always need to look at the thin crescent moon as it sets there. The moon was at its close to the Earth this month. Back on the 10th, it was 226,662 miles from Earth. The moon will be at Apogee, it's farthest point away from the Earth this month. On the 26th, it will be 251,996 miles from Earth. Monetary highlights for September. September sky is rich with opportunities. Titan's shadow continues to transgendered. The ringed planet reaches the moon with both worlds in the same region of the sky. Uranus is descending towards solar conjunction. Uranus is a fine binocular target. While Jupiter dominates the early moon, Venus starts the month near M44. Then inches closer to a conjunction with Regulus and the crescent moon.
