So I might have to mention that. See if we can get something sorted out with this end as well. Thanks so much for checking in. I hope the bands pop up for you and make a few interesting CW contacts there as well. So, talk to you again soon there, Doug. You're over on one of the other IRN groups there. Okay, so we're going to say hello to Doug over there in Kitchener. That's the 3XDB. 30 meters has been pretty good over here and 60 meters, 5 megs, has been absolutely brilliant overnight there as well there, Doug. Not sure if you're on 60 meters on the 5-meg span there. V3XDB, GWA SLL. Go right ahead. Well, good evening, Dave and Graham and everyone else in the background. I hope all is well. We just got in. I've been running around quite a bit today. We went to the gym and then did some shopping. I've been doing a lot of work on local radio club activity. In the summer, we did a bulk order for handheld radios for dual band handhelds. We had about 50 of them ordered. At our club meeting this Tuesday, we did a presentation on VHF, UHF generally, and then how to use the radio. That created quite a bit of activity. Now, I think we'll get more orders for those radios. I was working on that today. On Wednesday night, probably about 2 a.m. your time Thursday morning, I was working Japan on 15 meters on FT8. There was quite a bit of activity. Yes, I have worked on the VHF. I've been working on the VHF for a long time. I've been working on the VHF for a long time. I've been working on the VHF for a long time. I've been working on it 60 meters from time to time on CW. I'll have to go check that out tonight. I haven't been on the radio yet today. Maybe, I'll go turn on 60 used meters and see if I can hear anybody there. That's interesting. Take care, stay safe and we'll talk to you again, no doubt, very soon. We'll say 7 to 3 to KA-5-SSR. Right now we're bringing out the cake and we're putting all the candles in. Oh, this is going to take some time. And then we have to light them and listen, as I'm putting the candles on the cake and then thinking about lighting them, which could be a fire hazard here in the central Scotland. Well, I'm putting the candles on the cake. Let's go to birthday boy himself, Victor Echo 3, X-ray, Delta, Bravo, 8, dog. I'm putting the candles on the cake. It'll take a little bit of time, but happy birthday. Happy Friday and welcome to the dog. The mic is yours. Well, thank you, Graham. You just set off my smoke detector. So thank you for the kind wishes here and on those who responded on Facebook and that sort of thing. So it was kind of you to notice that. So we had a great day. We went out for breakfast this morning, which is one of my favourite meals to eat out. So we did that for my birthday and then we did a bit of shopping and just wandering around and I got a nice new gym shirt. Leslie asked me how old my gym shirt was and we were just figuring it out. It's the same shirt that I've been wearing probably since 1995. So it's 30 years old. So it's still in good shape. It's a Wilson, you know, and they're pretty sturdy shirts, but I got a new one for my birthday. So that's great. Got on the air this afternoon on FT8 and if Dave would have been around GW8SL, I probably would have been able to work him because I was working all kinds of folks into Europe on 10 and 15 metres today, which was kind of fun. Yeah. And I didn't do that for long because it's a lovely day here. It's about 21 or 22 degrees and very nice. Anyway, oh, Windows 10. Graham, just so you know, the end of life is October 14th, 2025, which means if you don't upgrade, you don't get any security updates. So you can still run it, but I would really consider upgrading or looking at additional support because that's, I wouldn't like to be running in an unsupported mode. Lots of Gremlins out on the internet, you know, and lots of crawlers looking for unsupported operating systems. Anyway, all the best. Enjoy your day tomorrow. Be safe. Welcome to the net, Transcander Net today and what was your best TAM radio experience this summer? Go ahead. Well, good morning Dave and everyone else listening in. I hope all is well with you. It's a beautiful afternoon here in Kitchener, sunny and it's going to be 25 or 26 today. So it's really nice. Well, this summer, we had a lousy age for the summer, so that wasn't so great. But a couple of highlights for me. Field day was always fun and the Kitchener Waterloo Amateur Radio Club had a good event this year. It was well attended and we had a good time. But I think my highlight was maybe Friday morning. Was it Friday morning this week? I got up at 4 o'clock in the morning because that's what happens when you're my age. But I got up and I turned on the radio and I turned on FTA and was listening on 10 and 12 and 15 meters and it was like it ought to be where I worked Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, all over the place. It was a lot of fun just for a short period of time. Anyway, that's it for me Dave. Have a good day and Adrian, I'll send you an email with looking for that link for your presentation. Thanks for taking my check in. VE5 Uniform Oscar from Victor Echo 3 X-Ray Delta Bravo. Hey Doug, and thanks for that. I appreciate that and Happy Safe Field Day was definitely a highlight of my summer as well and it's fantastic to see 10 meters in again. And I've got it running on three computers here in the house, and it's running really well. I always liked Debbie, and there's never much of a glitch, even with a brand new release. And upgrading from 12 was easy. I upgraded the other two computers. Well, actually, I upgraded all three from 12 to 13 using their recommended approach without, and, you know, it took five minutes. And I think it's a good deal. You know, it took five minutes. It took a couple hours once I decided to format the hard drive or the BSD and then reinstall it. But, no, it worked really well. Another lovely day in beautiful Southwestern Ontario, sunny and 25 degrees today. So, it was a lovely, lovely afternoon. It must be a corrupt SD card week or something, because the SD card on one of my nodes packed it in yesterday, and I just recreated it today. It was on my Sherry node, and it's back up and running. So, it runs All-Star and DV switch on the same card. So, it works fantastic. But, I've got all three of my nodes with the same setup. Tonight, I'm using the All-Star node on the Raspberry Pi 5 with the All-Scan interface and my Kenwood mic. We were out at the Market in Stratford, Ontario this afternoon. Clear, bright, and the colours are starting to change a little bit. It'll be a little better in a week or two. The farmers are out working in their fields, doing the last of the corn harvest and tilling the soil. It was a little dusty because it's been really dry. So, we saw some dust kind of coming across the highway. Anyway, hello to Dave in the background. Hope all is well with you. It was nice to speak with Declan earlier in the week on one of the nets. And I hope Sue as well. And Graham, I hope that you and Helen are well, and I'll turn it back to you from VE3XDB."}]}
