All right, then Kevin, VA3, KKY, the honor falls to you of deciding one question we're gonna ask. You know the routine. Go ahead. Throw out a number 1 to 6. Okay, well, what I can do is throw the Google dice, so something like Google, read the number from 1 to 6. Four. Four? So, question four. All right. The question is, let's see, suppose you were offered the power to read other people's minds. Would you take it? And why? So, in a way, it could be good, it could be bad. I mean, you could be learning a lot of stuff that you don't want to know, whether it's about you and this person or other things. But if you had the power to read people's minds or could have the power, would you take it? So, we'll turn that over to you, Kev. Well, I suppose that I would. It would probably make me even more judgmental on second-guessing people because I kind of already do that anyway. And I rely totally on, you know, inner monologue and internal wit, you know, to decide what I'm gonna do. And I think that's a good thing. I don't even quit, you know, to decide about people already, so it would just probably be more intense. I just honestly really don't really believe in such things because I'm thinking if anyone can read minds, well, then it's very simple to settle. Tell me tomorrow's LOMOMAX numbers. I don't even play. Tell me about a horse that I could cash in on. You know, give me something tangible. Give me something legible. That's the thing with sidekicks is oftentimes they don't have any credibility at all to me unless they're already doing well. It would be the first thing that you would do. And if anyone tells you that they're psychic, just go up to them and punch them right in the face, kick them right in the ribs, step on their feet, and they're lying to you already generically because they should have been out of the way. Nothing should have already told them that that was coming. They couldn't even see that coming. So I'd have to be so, or I think I would be heavily skeptical of a lot of those things. So even like my atheism, I think honestly I've come upon it in terms of a logical awakening, you know, more than anything else. And I don't have any particular ESPs or anything like that. It certainly never comes in handy. It's never saved me. I always learn about things way after the fact, right? Like, oh, my brother was sick, and I wouldn't have never known. So if it was ever something useful, it's never been revealed to me. But yeah, go punch a psychic. And they didn't see it coming. The most simplest thing. The gala experience, I guess. Okay, I'll pass it back to you, Kevin. VA3KKY. VA3KKY KM1X. Well, I'm talking more, less about reading into the future. I'm talking more like just knowing what people are thinking. So that, you know, if you're working with somebody and you can hear what they're thinking as they're thinking it, so that if they're looking at you and saying, oh, man, this guy's a jerk, you get that. I mean, yeah, it would be predicting the future if you knew that, okay, you would read the mind of the president who's planning on, you know, starting nuclear war or something like that. But it wouldn't be the, you know, what are the lottery numbers going to be, since that's supposed to be all random. Darryl has texted me, so he's back. So let's go back to Darryl. V01UKZ. Darryl, the question is, suppose you have the opportunity to have the power to read people's minds. Would you take it? So you'd have like ESP, and you would know who's thinking what when they're thinking it. Is that something that you'd want to have, or do you think it could be detrimental, because you've learned some things you really don't want to know. Over to you, Darryl. Well, first off, I wasn't gone very long, and Kevin was, I think, directly after me, so I must have just missed my turn by that much. I just ran to the bathroom. But it depends, Kevin. If it was something I could shut off, you know, to go to sleep at night or something like that, I'd be down for it, because you wouldn't want just everybody else's thoughts coming into your head constantly. You wouldn't want that. It would become too overpowering. I think so, anyway. I think it would become overpowering. But if you could turn it off, then great. Or if it was sensitive enough so you could tune it to just one person, or if it was sensitive enough that if you were, you know, in your own apartment, it wouldn't, you know, it wouldn't keep flooding into your mind, because I think that would be just catastrophic if you could constantly hear what everyone was thinking. And I'd have some fun with it, too. You know, like, if I heard someone say, I heard someone thinking, oh, that guy's a prick or something like that, I'd be like, oh, so that's how you feel, isn't it? And they'd be like, well, what you say? And I'd be like, man, I just heard what you said. And then they'd be like, oh, did I say that out loud, or did I say it in my mind? And I'd be like, no, you said it out loud, man. Like, what the hell? I think that would be fun. But, yeah, like, you know, if you were in, like, it depends on the range, too, I suppose, you know? Because you don't want, you know, voices coming in from all over the city. You know, you'd need a range to this power, I believe. Like, you know, 50 feet, maybe. You know, you don't need to know what people beyond 50 feet are doing. I think it would just be a waste. And plus, you'd get too much on your channel. You know what I mean? It would be way too overcrowded. There'd be way too many voices coming in all at once. I don't know that you could even, you know, detect what was going on if you had way too many voices on the same channel, everybody trying to talk at once. But, yeah, that's my answer to the question, Kevin. If it was more powerful, or sorry, if it had a limitation, and or if you could turn it off, that'd be my only stipulations. Back over to you, V01UKZ. V01UKZ-KM1X, I could see that. I was thinking at the time that as far as limitations, it would be more like, okay, you think of a person. So, you know, pick a person, Oprah Winfrey, and you would just immediately be able to tune in to whatever Oprah Winfrey was thinking about at that time. You know, you were, so that, you know, it wasn't like everybody, you could just turn it on and off. You know, I mean, let's face it, especially guys, we have this great ability of just turning our brains off, just really not thinking about anything or anyone. I mean, you know, obviously if you're thinking about, you know, putting a boat in the water, well, that, you know, that's not gonna, the boat doesn't have a brain, so it's not like you're gonna be reading the boat's mind. But if you're thinking about a person, well, then all of a sudden you could tap into whatever they were thinking. But, yeah, it's cool. I mean, this is a fun question, I think. It can go down many different avenues, so feel free to go with it where you want. VE1, W-I-N, Peter, you have the opportunity to read people's minds. Would you take it? Over to you. I'm taking it, Kevin. I'm driving and I'm mobile, so have a good day. I'm clear. Very good. Have a good day. Drive safe. KJ5, IRQ, Josh, you're next. Do you think you would like to have the opportunity to read people's minds? Over to you. AM1X, this is KJ5, IRQ. No, I don't hear like my own mind. I don't want to hear nothing, right? Nobody else's. Yeah, that's a scary thought. No, thank you. My wife did the same thing. She heard the question and she goes, oh, no, I would not want that. No, I think we're all hypocritical and we put on a forking in front of everybody over what's really inside of our minds. It can either be a very joyful or very scary place. And so that's a personal thing and I don't need to know that. I did want to ask you a question. I believe last Friday that you mentioned you played D&D and I know you're interested in that and thought maybe you could tell us more about that. Whatever. I mean, it doesn't have to be now or nothing. It can be a different net. I just wanted to mention it before I forgot it once again. All right. With that, I'm sending it back to KJ5, IRQ, to K and 1X. Yeah, Josh, I think you asked me that this last weekend, too. It's something that I had never played growing up. Again, it was, its heyday seemed to come about in the late 70s, early 80s. I knew people that did, but I wasn't one of them. And probably three or four years ago, it was a local game store that was going to have a session for people who've never played before. It was like an introductory session. And I asked this buddy of mine, I said, look, if you were up by any chance to ever have played D&D or had any interest in it, there's this thing going on. I'm thinking about going, but I'd rather not go alone. And the guy's like, oh, my God, I love that plate that I got up. My brother and I, we were playing. We'd get our friends and we'd be up all night. I'd love to get going. I mean, I opened a Pandora's box. And now this guy just can't get enough of it. I mean, we play every five or six weeks. He's the dungeon master. He spent all of his waking time just on this. He's recruited a bunch of other teachers at the school that he works at. Even in the summer, they get together on Tuesdays at a game store and they play. It's kind of interesting, but it depends. I mean, different people get into it at different levels. I'm not into it that much. I just assume keep it to once a month, to be honest with you. But it is an opportunity to get out and meet other people. It can be very complex. And again, my interest level is not at the point where I want to be that complex. It would depend. If you've got a game store nearby, check it out. See if they have anything. It's worth looking into if you've got just a little bit of an interest because you could go to one of these introductory things and say, yeah, this is for me. It isn't for me. You'll know probably after an hour or two. So, yeah, it's worth checking out. All right. AA4, H-O, Ron. We're talking about the power to read minds. If you had the opportunity to read people's minds, would you want it? Over to you, Ron. I think I would. Let's see. Orson Welles, he was good at having people think of a number, you know, between one and ten. And he would be able to tell them, you know, what the number was. He would be a high degree of accuracy. He would be right about it or think of an animal. He'd ask a few questions that come with a little effort. And the skills also have to be learned beforehand. I have a little interest in that and I've followed some of them. And there's some things I've picked up on, not a lot, because I never formally tried to learn how to know what somebody's thinking or if what they're saying is deceptive or not. You don't necessarily need a lie detector test. I don't know if that actually falls into the category exactly of what the question is. Yeah, I don't think we'll ever be able to read somebody's thoughts. I don't think that. Yeah, I probably enjoy that. I don't have nothing. Are you going to surprise me at this point? I've seen just about everything. So I could be wrong about that. But I've been desensitized from my past experiences that it wouldn't shock me more. Of course, maybe if there were a serial killer that could be horrible to have to unsee something that you read their mind that they had done. So I certainly would avoid somebody like that. Anyway. Yeah, there's a lot of skills out there in this people who talk about it a lot that I've listened to. All right. So that control. A4HOKM1X. You got to have, I think, a thick skin before you agree to take something like that on because it could easily be something that you regret. So you'd want to give it some thought before you jump right in. But thank you for that. And now we're going to try to see if Jeff is still there. Km4GBC. If you could have the ability to read people's minds, is that something you would want to take on? Would you like to have that ability? Or would you just assume? Keep the mystery. Over to you, Jeff. Hey, Kevin. Km4GBC. Yeah, I think I'd take that. That'd be pretty cool. But I have to admit, Kevin, I already partially have that. I can partially do that now. And if you could turn it on or turn it off, like Ron said, some people are so crazy you wouldn't want to get in their head. Anyway, I have to be able to read people's minds a little bit at my work. Usually they're lying, I can tell you that. Anyway, it's good to hear what went on here this morning. I saw the cartoon that Josh put on Facebook there just now. That's really cool. I like that. That is neat. So anyway, Kevin, back to you. I'm still here for now. Mission accomplished on that first guy. He's going to be with us until Monday morning. He's a keeper. Anyway, back to you, Kevin. Km4GBC. Good morning, everyone. Km4GBC, Km1X. Well, sounds like you've got someone to take care of for the next couple of days. How does that work? When they're in the jail, obviously you've got to feed them and all of that. Do you guys have a cook? How does that all work? Do you do takeout? When the dude gets out, do you send him a bill and they have to pay for the food that they had and stuff like that? How does that work, Jeff? Well, it varies in different sentences, different charges and pretrial. Anyway, it varies in different ways, Kevin. But as far as the Poon goes, they have a company that brings in the food. And that's, you know, it's a big company. It's a big deal. They do probably four or five jails in different counties right here where I'm at. So it's a big outfit. I used to, they used a local guy and he would do all the meals for the jail. He had like a catering company, but he would, you know, just do the basics for the jail. But he got a little too pricey for the county. And the county got this other group that was doing the jail, the two jails in the counties that were beside of us. So they bring them in in paper boxes. And they have these containers, you know, that are nice, but they're disposable. And they have regular food, hamburgers, hot dogs. Sometimes it may just be a sandwich with some side veggies. But they've got a schedule that they have to go by and have to meet. So many, you know, certain rules they've got to follow about the nutrition and so forth. But this fellow was a domestic. So he got a fight with his family in North Carolina. It's automatically a 48-hour hold if you get in a domestic disturbance. It was pretty bad. So anyway, he's staying with us till the 48 hours runs out, which will be 7 a.m. on Monday morning. And I put his coordinate on Monday too, so he'll be going to coordinate 30. So anyway, they've got these different things, different rules they've got to follow. And they have a doctor and a nurse that they can see. There is a charge for that, but it's only like $3 and $5. And if they can't afford it, they get up there to see them anyway. And they're on call. So the nurses are there every day. They give their medication. So they do the intake with the meds when they come in. So they're pretty thorough about it, food allergies and all that kind of stuff. But yeah, while they're in custody, they're the responsibility of the sheriff. So back to you, Kevin Camp, for what you've seen. This is Repeater Station Kilo Avenue. Very good. Yeah, that was interesting. I've always wondered how that worked, whether they had like a kitchen staff or what. Because all I could think of was back in the old, you know, Andy and Mayberry. How did they feed them? And so I'm glad you were able to answer that for me. All right, go ahead, KC2PKG, back to the question at hand, which is dealing with the ability to read people's minds. You've been presented with the opportunity to do that, but is that something you'd want to have? Is that too much power? Could it backfire? Would you take it if you had the chance to read people's minds? Over to you, Gray. K.M.1X, this is KC2PKG. Yeah, with the proviso that you can turn it off. I think that's a really, really good suggestion there. And it was somewhat directable. I've always had trouble working out what people are thinking. Some people can look at another person's body language or watch their faces and stuff like that and really get a good handle on what's going on. Are they accepting what you're saying? Are you believing me? That kind of thing. I can't do that. I don't have that. I look at people's faces and I see a mass of app expressions, little lightning things that go on in their faces and stuff like that. So I'm not really good at reading people. And I wish I was better at it. I really do. So yeah, I would take that. I would definitely take that. With the proviso students, you can turn it off. You can't just let it out with what everybody else is doing. And it's somewhat directable. Like I have to look at the person or something like that and I could do it. I think that would be cool. And if you could turn it off with one bullet, just don't do it. So back to you, K.M.1X. This is KC2PKG. KC2PKG, K.M.1X. Now I think we stumbled upon what could make for a good story, a novel or a movie or something about the person that gets this ability and then all of a sudden they're discovering that there could be some serious drawbacks because they can't shut it off or the limitations aren't what they thought they'd be. And suddenly it presents some problems and some conflict, which you need in a good story. So yeah, I think we're onto something here. And Daryl was right when he touched upon that. Alright, who else is next here? Ask Gray, we go to Rick. K9VFD. What do you think, Rick? You know your life. You know some people that you might want to be able to exercise this power on, this new power if you choose to take it. But is it something that you would want? Would you like to have the ability to read people's minds? Over to you, Rick. Alright, well before I answer that, you said you wanted to ask if I did anything to my bike or whatever. And I'm playing with it. I'm trying to learn all the electronics, the infotainment system, the carplay, all kinds of stuff. But, and then I, we went on a pretty nice ride last Saturday. We wound up going out to Peoria the long way and then we took the long way back and we put on like 200 miles that day. And I decided that I wanted my feet up a little bit. I also wanted the handlebars closer to me so I ordered floorboard risers and then I also ordered handlebar risers. And while I was at it, I ordered a couple LED accent lightings. One both for the front, just some white light trim to finish out the bike and you know, make it look cool. I'm thinking about adding some sequential turn signals but it's a pretty elaborate job. You have to pull the wheels off and the fenders off. There's a lot of work involved in doing it. So I'm holding on by that. That could be a winter project. But as far as the reading people's minds, I'm going to go on a tangent with that. Because my dad, he was in telecommunications for pretty much as long as I can remember. And back in the old days, he was selling business telephone systems. And then by the end of his career, now they're doing Ethernet and fiber networks. And most of the time the contractors that he worked for were in the same union I am. Their local 134 IBEW. So anyhow, one of the things that he would do back, I mean these days I don't know a lot of times they're IP phones and they would do the same thing. But especially in the car dealers. He would get a car dealer and part of the system that they needed was a way for audio surveillance. So basically the systems that he would put in would be able to, you could go to a master station or whatever and actually listen in on that telephone extension. So basically the car dealers would, you know, they're trying to make their deal. They know they're getting close but they're just not quite there. The salesman will go, you know what, why don't you and your wife think about this. And I'm just going to leave for a few minutes and you guys can discuss what's going on here. And that's when the sales manager goes in and listens to the conversation and they can hear what they're willing to do to make the deal. So that's my take on it. And so you can do it. You can read people's minds but you have to use electronics to make that happen. But as far as me having the ability to know what my wife is thinking, oh my God. Especially when I'm being a dick. You know, it's all the week man. I was just no good. You know, I told her, you know, I'm not Rick anymore. Just call me dick. And that was my way of saying sorry. But anyway, I don't know if I want that ability. And you know, maybe with all the, you know, with my project manager acting the way he is, I want to know really why he's doing what he's doing. I think what he's trying to do is speed up production. And it's a way to, you know, it slows it down at first but then it gets things going maybe. I don't know. But anyway, so count me out unless I could turn it on and off and only use it as a, you know, all of a sudden, okay this is on demand. Okay now I want to know what you're thinking. So anyway, back to neck control. K-9 PFD. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo. K-9 PFD, KM1X. Well I would think yeah, yeah, I mean I'm not married but when it comes to spouses, do you really want to know what's going on? I mean there are times where a spouse might be like what is going on? What is he thinking? What is she thinking? But at the same time, you might get scared by it when you find out. So I don't know that I would recommend using it on your spouse for sure. But that's interesting about the car thing. I mean that's eavesdropping if you ask me. Or wire tapping almost. But I suppose if it was legal, it was legal. So it would be interesting to see if that would work if they still do stuff like that today. Let's see, George, KB0, MAI. George we're talking about having the power to read people's minds. And we'll let you interpret that any way you want. But is that a power you think you'd like to have? Over to you George. KB0, MAI. You know that two car dealership thing, I believe that is true. They're going to take any advantage they can. And I can see them doing that. So that's why I want to go into car dealership. I don't say anything to my wife unless we go outside and talk out there. But it's been a while. It's been five years since I've been to a car dealership. I'm very stiff neck when I go to them. You ever watch that movie, Bruce Almighty? He thinks he can do better than God. So God gives him all his powers and he's trying out new things. And all of a sudden he's starting to hear people all over the place in his mind. It gets worse and worse and worse. He's trying to clean out his ears because he thinks he's hearing things. And come to find out, God tells him, well that's prayers. You're God, you have to have the prayers. And he says, well how do you stand it? And God says, well I'm used to it but you only pick it up, the prayers from 40th street to 1st street, New York City or something like that. So you just get a small sample because you've got to start answering these prayers or it's just going to get worse and worse and worse. So I just sent out a typewriter. I guess this is his way of answering the prayers. And he just goes on and on and on. No matter how fast he works he just can't answer all the prayers. So finally he just grants everybody everything. For some reason I keep thinking about that movie when we're talking about this stuff. But I would say myself, no I don't need it. I read people pretty good. Not so much if they're on the air but in person I can read them fairly decently. I prefer that over hearing every thought that goes through their mind. That would drive me nuts. Hey Hal, I got done with all my road work, or yard work. And I've got to take a shower and get ready to get to the pool for my grandson. So eat some breakfast and all that kind of good stuff. So I'm just going to call it quits for the day. Everybody have a wonderful weekend and I guess I'll see you on Monday. JB0MAI. JB0MAI. JB0MAI. KM1X. Well it sounds like you got your work out of the way and it's still bright and early so you've got the rest of the day to play. Congratulations. I'm in the midst of chopping up onions and peppers to go into my spaghetti sauce as we talk about the question. And once I get all the chopping and stuff done then it's just a matter of cooking. And that should be alright. So I'm hoping to have this done by 10.30 or so. And then I can start my playing on the weekend too. Uh, D. KN4. LBF. You've had some time to think about the question, D. And as George said, I mean it does kind of give you some godlike abilities I would think. But is that something you would want if you could? Over to you. This is KN4. LBF. Um, I don't think I would have to, uh, not be soft in order to have it but I would like to have it. And just for, you know, for instance, um, you know, yesterday I had a really good conversation with a friend of mine and she was saying that her best friend, one of her girlfriends died a month ago. And she's been hanging with a crowd in her community since she's been here two years. And she, they all got together in one apartment to go to the funeral. And one of the ladies that she was hanging with said this to another woman, says, oh you see how she is like, you know what I said or whatever. But she heard and she turned around and she said, are you guys talking behind my back? And, um, she told me yesterday she was really devastated because she felt like she wasted two years of her life hanging with people that she thought cared about her. And it was a lie. They just was talking bad things about her. And I would say what's going on through your mind. And not only in reference to friends, family, nephew, nieces, whatever cases, it's just to know who is dishonest and honest with you. Who is selfish? Who is keeping two, three years of your life, 30, 40 years? I mean, I would like to set boundaries. And yes, I would like to have that ability because people are just not honest at all. And, um, I had another instance. I had a friend, let me reset, just give me a second. I had a friend that I thought was a friend of mine. And, um, her husband was my husband's best friend. And then she started hanging out with me. She started inviting me places and stuff to come to find out after four years of being what I thought was my BFF. She just wants to be in the same household to watch her husband. She didn't give two crap about our friendship. I was like, how can that be? How can people use other people like that? So, um, I have to say, yeah, I would like to know what's in your mind and I can have boundaries for I can, um, you know, just, um, make sure that I don't know. I just say yes. Anyway, back to you, Kevin. This is K and 4 LBS. This is D. Kevin 4 LBS KM1X. I think we've all been there, D, where we thought we knew someone and come to find out, you know, we didn't. They weren't the people that we thought they were. Um, that they didn't necessarily, you know, put as much weight on relationship as we did. And so you're right. That is a good thing to be able to have the ability to kind of root out before you invest a great deal of time and energy of your life on a relationship where the other person think about that. Just like when you were dating, you know, just this person like me, I really like this person. Do they like me as much as I like them? And just that whole awkwardness of getting to know someone. If you had the ability to know how the other person felt, think of how much pain that would have saved. So you brought up a very good point, D. Alright, let's go down to Ben, VE3, FBX. You've heard a lot of different viewpoints, Ben. And so we'd love to know what you think now. If you had the ability to read people's minds, is that something that you would want to have? Over to you. VE3, FBX. No, definitely not. Like Dee was saying, yes, people may try to use you or not have the same feelings you do, but that might be a temporary thing. There's a lot of temporary thoughts that enter a mind. I also think there's a lot of dark thoughts and dark minds and I would want to get dragged into seeing all the dark thoughts that people have. Maybe short lasting, maybe a long lasting plan they're working on. I just don't think it would be a fun place to be. Back to you, Kevin. VE3, FBX, KM1X. Well, I like going back to what Dee said. It was a case of an individual that you thought much more of and you thought it was both ways, but it turned out not to be. We all have people in our lives that we kind of more or less put up with. And there may be someone that thinks, oh my gosh, this person is great and we're really good friends when in fact we're just tolerating them more than anything, trying to be polite. So it could get turned on us as well. But that's a good point. Alright, Bill. N9, OFU. What do you think? You had some time to think about this. Is this something that you would want to have the ability to do? Over to you. Alright, well I just read your mind. I knew I was next. So maybe I already have it. I've always thought that would be an interesting trait to have because then you could say more or say less based on what the other person was thinking. So you wouldn't get in trouble or you would know if you were getting somebody upset so you could shut your mouth and stop talking. But I think it would be more trouble than it would be worth. I do like the idea of being able to focus it so you wouldn't hear everything and then be able to turn it on and off. Because sometimes it's better not to know what the other person is thinking. Because like you said, there are times when I look at someone and I think to myself things that I wouldn't say out loud. And there's a reason for that. Because your body has a difference mechanism. And sometimes we make snap judgments that aren't in our best interest. And then after a little while you completely change your mind. So if someone just read your first thoughts, they'd be totally off the mark. So I think the way it is now is probably better. So I would have to go with no, I don't think I'd want to have that ability. Even now I tell myself, I'd want to know if someone was lying to me or not lying to me or something like that. But I think I'm probably better off without it. Alright, and I know if you're back to the cam 1X."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T07:36:39+00:00","id":15413,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15412,"text":" Okay, alright, let's hold it up right there before we get out of control. I got N7RHV, AG7MR, JC7YFV, VA6DRZ, V01UKD, Short Time DC3FDX, N0HC, VE4YYL, and JG7WA. So let's go up to our Short Timer, V01UKD. Hey, good morning, Darrell. How you doing, buddy? Wow, I started talking without pushing the button. That doesn't work. I just wanted to jump in and say hello, Art, and wish you a good morning. And that goes for everybody on the net. I hope everybody's having a good round out for the weekend, or a good start for the weekend, I guess you could say. Because it's only Saturday morning, yet Saturday and Sunday left yet. I haven't done any camping yet this year, strangely enough. I like to go camping from time to time. It's not something I, you know, have got to do 365 days a year or anything, but camping is definitely nice from time to time. Other than that, man, I just wanted to let you say hello, so I'll put it back to you. 7-3, V01UKD. I thought I was done. Sorry. Hey, Darrell, yeah, you kind of froze things up a little bit, so there you go. So I had to wait for right y'all to get you just so there you go so I can get back in here. But anyhow, buddy, if you can hear me, take care, buddy. And we will talk at you later. 7-3 for now, and have yourself a great day. So with that, let's see. Let's move up to the top of the list. M7, RHC. Hey, good morning, family. How you doing? I'll see what happens. I brought them all with me. Good and fine, those jackkins. And then I come in and there they are. Everybody can probably get that from getting a cup of coffee, like you said, or tea. In my case, just a little bit of water because I haven't crawled out of the sack yet. And the water bottle is the first thing I grab in the morning to get rid of that dry mouth from that CPAP machine. So, yeah, but then I can talk. Trying to talk with that thing around there, my daughter calls me and asks, Oh, the internet isn't working. Like, I'm going to do something about it at 10 o'clock at night? I don't think so. You know, you're not going to get a hold of anybody and try to talk with them. But it was fun. So I finally got a treat. I'll worry about it in the morning. I ain't worrying about it tonight. So anyway, I went to the ticker doctor yesterday. Everything's kosher with him. And I'm doing good, I guess. So, but he wants to bring it up to date. He wants to do an echocardiogram somewhere down the road. And it's been a while. So everybody's happy. I'm happy. Happy pappy. Oh, wow. So that's it. I haven't got a whole heck of a lot starting to ramble. So there you go. Grab one of those micro bandwaps. There we go. Now the mic's 99.9% germ free for the next 24. And seven RHV back to net. All right. Thanks a lot for wiping down the bike. Yeah. There goes out there in the middle of the night. You can do about it. So there you go. The only thing you can do is get on their site and see if maybe there's an outage somewhere. That's about all you can do. Just go to sleep. That's one way to get all the kids off the Internet. Shut them all down at night. So there you go. So they have no choice but to go to bed. All right, pappy. Thanks a lot for checking in. Let's go down here and try 87 MR. Good morning, Mr. Terry. How you doing? This is repeater station. All right. I'm going on here this morning. We're going up to about 87 degrees here. I have a track. I got sunshine. So that means that the clouds are already dissipating this morning. And that's a lot of going on. I'm looking for packages. All this government stuff. The VA line. I ordered some space for me from the VA. They won't be until Tuesday. And the other ones are already going away. It's going to be an interesting weekend anyway. So as of now we're doing pretty good. And the fire up in Oak Ridge on the East side of Oak Ridge is almost contained. The last time I heard from my brother who's on the family beach. I think while we were shot I got a feeling that the railroad probably started it. Because the railroad tracks are actually going to be there. Anyway, maybe we finally got one in the fire dock and the ridge. Alpha-epicosaur and micro-omeovac. And ATH, so in the group. Thank you for bringing me in because you can't pick me up. Alpha-epicosaur and micro-omeovac tonight. Hi there Mr. Terry. Good to hear you this morning. I don't know. I don't think I heard what started that one up there. I don't know if it was. Was it trains or maybe a lightning strike or something? But it's hard to tell. So we'll say 73 to you and we will talk at you later. With that let's move on down to the K-7 YFE. Dale, good morning. Well, top of the morning there aren't any rest of the net. Well I just about gave you the wrong call so I named ATH-J, K-7 YFE. And I figured I'd get up out of that nice comfortable bed. Put my shoes on my feet. Then get up and get some coffee down now. I don't want to be lazy. I was going to go to breakfast this morning but I might make it that way over at Denny's. Where they usually have it every Saturday morning. But transportation being a travel problem, it makes you a problem to try to get over there. Since I live way across town from Denny's restaurant. And yeah, I've walked over there a couple times. With one hand for a good walk I'll tell you. Otherwise the day seems to be kicking off okay. We're getting a good start here. Coming into the net and saying hello to everyone here. That's pretty much all I got. So I encourage all to keep coming back and keep up the good work. And with that I'm going to have to go get a little bit of coffee. So I'm going to go ahead and send the mic back to you. And drop it for us while we're doing a little extra wipe down of it there. Micro-band wipes always come in handy. Better than just as good as a spray. But the spray goes everywhere. The wipes, they put the chemical or whatever right where it's supposed to be. In case you suffer while I beat back to you. Alright there Dale, alright Dan. Go make yourself another pot of coffee. And hey coffee is always good. Good first cup in the morning. So there you go. The stronger the better is what I say. So anyhow Mike you take care. And well maybe you'll get over there to Demi's and get breakfast this morning with the guys. So there you go. So we'll say 73 for you from us here at UJ Chair buddy. And we will talk with you later. Alright with that let's move on down to VA6-GRZ. Hey Bill good morning. November 8th. Tango Hotel Juliet VA6-GRZ returning. Hi Art. Everybody on the net? Yeah I actually decided to get up early this morning. Get back up a little bit early this morning. Had my breakfast already. I got my visual therapy appointment at 1020. So I wanted to come down here on the net for a bit. And go talk to another ham on the radio that I have talked to in a while there. So and of course there's no action happening on 6 meters. So anyway oh we've got currently 16 degrees, 525, 1677 Fahrenheit. Sun and cloud, 30% chance of showers and possibly thunderstorms. Probably tonight. That's usually when it all comes out. So and we'll go shop and after I get back from my my physiotherapy appointment. Yeah it was fun. It was kind of interesting Joe talking to Missy about foot and ankle injuries. So I'm living that right now. It's like okay I can't keep doing this ice on ice off BS for keeping the swelling down. Or get rid of it. So we'll see what the physiotherapist has to say. Unless everybody out there knows. I know salt is not good for swelling. So forget about the Epsom salts in cold water. Won't work. So there we go. Okay 73 everybody. Have yourselves a great day. Any THJ VA 6th chair in Edmonton, Alberta. Alright dear Bill. Alrighty buddy. Thanks a lot for checking in. Hopefully your ankle gets better and stuff like that. So yeah I know. Every once in a while my wife will bring me a tub of Epsom salt water back here. So I can stick my right foot in there and try to get whatever swelling is in there down. So there we go. But we'll talk at you later buddy. You take care. Alright with that let's move on down here to VE3FBX. Good morning. How you doing? Good morning. It is VE3FB. Bravo X. Morning's getting going. Coffee's done. Just about to start reorganizing and re-wiring my little shack. I'm a new ham so going through things a few times and getting everything set up. Gonna be around this thing all day but gonna have my hands full. Back to med control. Alright dear Bentley. Alright buddy. Good to hear you in. Thank you very much for correcting me on that one and that's what happens when... When I don't pull the cotton out of my ears. So there you go. War turned up to a zero day. It's one of the two. But we got your call corrected in the log. So there you go. Alright buddy you take care. Get that shack straightened around the way you want to do it. And we will talk at you later buddy. Take care. With that let's move on down here to N0HC. Hey good morning Clem. How you doing? This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7 November... Good morning King Arthur. N0HC. What's wrong with that? Anyway I'm looking at my dog."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T05:44:35+00:00","id":15394,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15393,"text":" Alright, we picked up KN4LBF, DE3FBX, Ben and N90FU-Mayo. Good morning to all three of you. We're going to start out with the KN4LBF. Good morning, D. How are you today? And you still think you'll be able to host the net next Saturday morning? If not, let me know. No big deal either way. What are your plans for the weekend, D? This is KN4LBF. This is D. Right now I am just giving thanks to be able to wake up this morning, give my gratitude. And it's 90 here, which is, well, it's going to be 90, which is great because it was 97 and over over here. We had a lot of rain and thunderstorms last night and it dropped the humidity just a little bit, just enough to be able to go out and do a couple of things. And not much today because today is my day of rest. But tomorrow I'll think about stopping by my friend's house and giving her some really beautiful veggies we have here. Anyway, not much and yes, I am going to be here on the 16th at 730. Yes, I am. I am ready. Okay, well, back to you, Kevin. This is KN4LBF. This is D. D, no offense, but that's a little warm. So it's early in the morning. That's downright hot. I just, what is it now? It went up from 63 to 64 here. And I can handle that, but I don't know that I could handle those temps down there this early in the day. That's a bit much. It's funny how, it doesn't sound like I'm the only one on this net this morning, but the older I get, the less I like the heat and the less I like the cold. So maybe we're just becoming old crotchety people that don't like it too hot, don't like it too cold. I don't know. But thank you for joining us, D, and we'll look forward to hearing you next weekend at this time. And now we're going to go down the list to VE3FBX. Ben, good morning to you. How are you today? Have you got any weekend plans that you want to share? Over to you. VE3FBX. Good morning, Kevin and everybody else up in the morning having a coffee. Been up for a grand total of a half an hour. It's my day to sleep in. Having my coffee, checking the news. Plans for the weekend are going to be relaxed. It's going to be a hot one here. Going to get into rewiring my radio setup. Finally got all the bits and pieces I want to get in. So hopefully this weekend I can get everything up on the air. Raised up one end of my engine at halfway. Then managed to hit Europe finally. So hopefully tonight and maybe tomorrow night we'll get some contact out that way. Other than that, going to take it easy. Back to you, Kevin. VE3FBX KM1X. Do you mind, Ben, if I ask you what kind of end fed halfway you got? Did you make it or did you buy it? VE3FBX. Kevin, I got lazy. I bought it off Amazon. I was planning to make a fantail dipole and just ran out of time this spring. Hopefully over the winter I get a chance to build the fantail and get it up next year. I just wanted to get up in the air. I'm a new ham. Just got my license this spring. Been in electronics and radio since the early 80s when I was a teen and into the Air Force. So yeah, this is it. VE3FBX KM1X. I want to say it was Monday. I was all ready to make a purchase of one. I had fed halfway. I liked my other one but it broke about a month ago. So I have been off HF now for the last month. What I was going to do was buy two. I was going to have one that was going to be pointing to the east. So that one would hit Europe. Then I was going to have one that was going to be pointing towards the west. I saw what was sitting in my cart online and how much it was going to cost. I thought, do I really need two? Can I just get away with one? So then I dropped it back to one. They won't deliver to my post office box for whatever reason. I get that if you get a battery or something, there's no reason why this couldn't get it. They won't deliver to a PO box. So I was going to have it delivered to my parents house knowing that I was going to be up there on Sunday. I said, well it's too early. I don't want to have it get delivered on Wednesday or something and they're going to be running around. I want them to be home when it happens. So I figured I'd wait until later in the week knowing that I forgot all about it. So I still haven't made the order. Now I'm toying with going back to getting two. If I get two, all I'm going to do is put the one pointing east up now and then I will wait until the foliage drops before I put the one going west up. I'm also concerned that the tree I'm using for the west one is not far enough away. I think the wire is 130 feet long or something like that. I think the tree is only 80 feet away or 90 feet away. So there's still a lot of extra there and I don't know. So we'll see. It'll make for an interesting winter though for sure. Thank you Ben. Let us know how you like that too. Bill! And 9-0-F-U. Good morning to you sir. Welcome to the Calabunga net. How are you? Where are you? And what are your plans for today? So listen, over to you. Okay. How are you doing? I'm going to push the button and then I'm going to pop back up. And I'm like, oh wait, you're not done talking yet. But I'm at home. My last day at home. Well, last morning at home I should say. My student is waiting for me. I'm just wondering if my truck has been fixed or gone to the shop yet. I put my truck in the shop Thursday morning. I wanted them to just check out the repair job on the differential. So I asked for that. And I figured that was just quick and easy just to make sure it wasn't leaking. But then I had some antifreeze coming out. These two hoses or top holes on the radiator causing leakage. I wasn't losing much antifreeze. But it was making a little bit of a mess inside the engine compartment. So I put it in there for that. That was the main thing. But when I went in yesterday morning, it sat all Thursday. So they had a lot of trucks they were working on. And now I'm just waiting. I didn't go back last night. And as far as I can tell from my air tag in the truck, the truck is sitting in the same area that it was when I put it in. But they may have taken it out and put it back. I'll find out this morning. All Star Note 6222 located in Shelton, Washington. Yep, just had to read the message. Yeah, I'm not sure. Okay. I may have been mistaken. We're trying to figure out tomorrow's net. And I knew he was going to be out here. But with respect to my intention that she was going to be covering your net next week. So maybe that's what I was getting. Or maybe I'm confused. And she's not going to be out here tomorrow. So we'll get tomorrow figured out. If nothing else, I might be able to pick it up. So we'll see what happens. But yeah, beautiful morning. I may have one here. All right, been able to get a full night's sleep the last couple nights. That's helped out a lot with the muscle relaxing in the back. So my leg hasn't been giving me too much bother. Plus I've been wearing my knee brace. So that's kind of helped keep things straight on my leg. So we'll see if we can continue. Usually I have like a week where my students got driving as a solo student. So I'm able to get a good night's sleep every night for the first week before I go back into team driving. Last time didn't quite work out that way because my last student already had enough hours that we were able to run team pretty much from the beginning. So we're still working on that. But good to be out here and keep me on the list. This is N9OFU back to KM1X. And I know if you KM1X, we're glad to hear that your back is doing a little bit better. I know last Sunday I played pickleball. And Monday morning, I was kind of sore all over. But I noticed that my Achilles in my right foot was burning. And I thought it was just because the heel of my shoe was rubbing up against it and it was just creating a lot of friction from running around. But it wasn't going away. A couple of days ago, I kind of just Googled burning sensation and Achilles tendon and they said that it sounded like it was tendonitis. And that you gotta take it easy and that it's common with people that play tennis or basketball like once a week. It's like, well, that sounds familiar. So there are some stretching exercises that I'm doing. They seem to think it seems to be coming from tightness in the calf. So I'm trying to stretch that out because I don't want to screw up my Achilles and need surgery or something like that. That would be new fun whatsoever. So we're just kind of taking it easy. All right. We are at the bottom of the list. We'll take one more call for check ins and then we're going to try to answer some questions or a question. So anyone anywhere that wants to get on the net come forward with your call sign now."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-10T06:07:04+00:00","id":15745,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15744,"text":" Okay, so that was four new check-ins. We got the question from Mike, which we'll get to first. We got Km4qbchf, have a good day at church, Jeff, and thanks for checking in. We got Kv7pvw, putz pretty well. Sent to Mel, and we got Km6uyz, who will be next. Lucky number 13 after George's question from Mike. So go ahead, George. Yeah, thank you. Mike, you strictly try to load up the operating system for digital modes, or did you want it in all-star mode? Okay, so that was actually Ben, VE1FB, or VE3FBX, that had that question. So go ahead, Ben."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-10T07:07:02+00:00","id":15761,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15760,"text":" And then I know a few. KJ5, IRQ. But hey, I walked into, during a closet remodel. See what happens when I wake up? I woke up, sit down in there, my life goes, hey, that's been verve. It's all verve. I wanna change closet into a gaming center. So my grandkids have a closet. That's their space in our house to keep their toys and coloring books. You know, whatever grandkids always have. My grandkids get a lot of stuff for them. Anyhow, he's been playing Minecraft a lot more lately. And that's great. He is, it helps eye-to-eye coordination. Both of our studies are showing that surgeons, and I'll try to find the source, but this is a true, true, true, true thing. Surgeons who play video games are 27% faster, I think, than the surgeons who don't use, who don't play video games. And 37% more make less mistakes. I may have the numbers messed up, but I'll have to find that. Those are the generalities, okay? So there is some arguments we had that let children start on developmental video games at a young age because, let's face it, life is a video game now. We're with A.I.s and phones, touchscreen phones, and they're coming out with glasses, and before long, I mean, I'm serious, before long, there's gonna be a holographic or something to rate it as if they're touching thin air, and it's a screen. I mean, technology is growing at such an astounding rate. Forget how fast they think technology's duplicating itself, but it's faster than we ever expected as a species. If you watch the raw files, W-H-Y, raw files on YouTube, he has some interesting thoughts about why technology's like that, like we're getting help from alien species, or possibly, you know, we had some time travel, I guess, hey, I'm plugging it, but the YouTube channel, if you haven't seen the raw files, W-H-Y, F-I-L-E-S, and you're looking at back in time, and being engaged and learning something, I would highly recommend it. It's such a great channel. He does talk about a lot of conspiracies, but he does it in an intelligent manner. He lays it out, hey, this is what the conspiracy is, these are the facts that can be proven, these are the things that, you know, Alpha Dog got out there, had his own, that kinda shows that his story's probably not true. It's really fascinating, it's educational. I feel like the tagline is, something where smart people go to relax, or something like that. Anyhow, I thought some of y'all may enjoy that, the raw files, W-H-Y-F-I-L-E-S, on YouTube, and yeah, Denver 73, back to being a remodeler for my wife, KJ5, I owe you, back to you. All right, well there, Josh. Yep, honey, news to do, keep us busy for sure. And we lost D, she said 73, so we'll go to the VE3FBX, Ben, 73 round, what are your final thoughts? This is VE3FBX, thanks for doing the net, Bill, thanks for everybody's input on my little question. I hope everybody has a great Sunday, 73. All right, thank you, Ben, and we're gonna go ahead and go down to W-A6-A-B-C, Mike, and we're not gonna be able to say Mike from Rockaway Beach anymore, we're gonna have to say Mike from wherever you're going next but Mike, for now, from Rockaway Beach, 73 round. N9-O-F-U at net control, W-A6-A-B-C returning. Very good, 73 to everybody, wishing everybody a blessed Sunday, and everybody stay safe today, everybody stay cool today, and yeah, I don't know, you know, I'm the one who really doesn't know where I'm gonna end up, so we're looking around, we're seeing where we can actually buy a house and stay in it for a little while. But yeah, definitely one of those tougher times for me, so having a net right now is really a good thing, and having a calm net, a calm net, everybody's calm, everybody's just talking about their day, just my preference, that's all. Not too much flaming disagreements and things, and get to hear everybody and them running their calm Sundays, so I'll go back to doing a little work today, and thanks everybody for participating in a net, there is no net if people don't participate. Bill, thanks for taking the helm, you did a fine job as net control, and sending love and blessings to everybody within the sound of my voice, from W-A6-A-B-C, Michael and Rockaway Beach. Well Mike, good luck with the prescriptions for the cats, trying to find the right thing for everybody, and I know you get different cats, you get different reactions, same with dogs, same with people, well not one medicine fits everybody, but hopefully you'll find something that will make everything easier, and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers, and here's to wishing you good luck in finding a good house. If you're still out there and you hear me, go ahead. You said they just shouldn't have had kids. This is Kay in Fort Albia. Yeah, I don't think they should have had kids. They didn't know how to take care of us. They left us days without food. And at that time, 55, 60 years ago, they didn't have child welfare like they do today. So we were left there. And like I said, we survived it. I didn't turn out to be a, I didn't allow it to make me into a victim. But my brother, he acted out. He really did. He didn't take life. And he was a different personality. He was very angry. But life turned out a little different for me because I didn't wanna be miserable for the rest of my life for things that weren't in my mentalness, things in your head going over and over again. I didn't want that. So anyway, everything is, and oh, hold on one second. About pets. My pet, when I try to go to bed, she's the boss, she's the lead. She does not allow me to get into my side of the bed. My husband has to convince her to allow me every night to allow me to get in my bed because she thinks that's her bed. Isn't that something? This is KN4LBF, this is D. Back to the net. Yeah, they tend to get possessive of their beds. And we had our Lucy who would always sleep with us and she always liked coming over and sleeping next to me because she was more of a daddy's girl than a mommy's girl. But they're such a joy. And for the little time that we have them, it just doesn't seem like it's long enough. But oops, I forgot to put that in the box. I forgot to put that in the box. I'm trying to clean up my desk a little bit, make it a little more presentable. I've got a lot of stuff on it. Things I'd like to do with it and I just haven't done with it. Got radios here and there. Our friend has these little thing, BF88S. And at one point we were going to program them and then we never got around to doing that. Other things came up and I don't have the wherewithal to do it myself so they just sit here on my desk and it's like, I wanna get them off the desk. I want to make my desk mine again. So we'll see what we can do there. But we just heard from Dee and we're going to, well, yeah. We're gonna go ahead and go to Ben VE3FBX. Now Ben is short for Bentley and Bentley is a name that has fond memories from the movie Secret to My Success. Because that was one of his names, Bentley. And I always picture the guy, the head guy in the mail room making fun of his name. That always comes up in my memory every time I hear the name Bentley. But he wants to be known as Ben for obvious reasons. So Ben, it's over to you. This is a VE3FBX. Actually, I don't mind either. When I was younger, I was real particular about being called Ben, not Bentley. It seems to be a very unique name. I grew up in Northern Saskatchewan. Now I go by Bentley at work. Ben with close friends is just quicker, but either is fine. I've got also one little cat to rescue my ex, rescued from a farm she was working on. And little cat decided that I was her human. So when we split, I got the little cat. Sleeping is interesting. She likes to sleep on my back and I like to sleep on my back. So sometimes she gets a little run over in the bed. I've got a question for everybody that somebody might be able to help me with, I hope. I'm building my own little note and I can't decide between running five star on it or the PSD. If anybody has any advice or suggestions on which might be better, I'd love to hear them. Back to net control. All right, I know we got people with opinions on this. I'm gonna go ahead and throw it out there. Anybody like to answer Ben's question?"},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-16T04:32:30+00:00","id":17061,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":17060,"text":" VE3FBX VE3FBX in and out listening at work."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-04T06:35:05+00:00","id":13995,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":13994,"text":" I think that's two. I have Monday off from work, so still in weekend mode, getting stuff done around the house. To answer the last question I heard, Love by Meadloaf haven't made it in a few years, so I guess I'm about due. No plans for doing much of anything extra this weekend, just work, sleep, and repeat. I was like, wait, where are the chickens at? So, oh my goodness, an ankle, yeah Missy, I can relate. I didn't break an ankle, but back in my karate days, I had literally lived karate. Oh my gosh, I was so into it and became a second degree black belt and I actually lived it. And I was really good at flying sidekicks, you know, you're kind of running. I kind of remember how high I used to jump, but it was truly mind boggling even when I think of it today. Well, on one of those, when I landed, you know, my toe was kind of, my foot's kind of angled down like a tap dancer. And when I landed, it landed and twisted sideways and just ripped the heck out of my ligaments. And yeah, that put me on for six months and I was probably 20, 21 years old. I was pretty young at the time and oh gosh, for years after that, probably 10 years after that, even at that young age, if I was in the car and had the heater on, the heater's blowing down at the bottom by your feet, my foot would swell up. Yeah, finally got over it, but my gosh, that was the most pain. I actually wanted to stop. It hurt so bad at the time. Crazy stuff. So yeah, I don't recommend anything but the ankle. It didn't break any bones, but there's a ton of bones in your foot, but all the ligaments and muscle, yeah, it was really, really messed up. So anyway, other than that, Art, I'm just floating on in the background. It's warm. I woke up to 87 degrees and just didn't feel like riding because it was a bit windy, but tomorrow's my day to ride, so I'll get out there tomorrow. Anyway, that's it for here and it's Joe Mosley, it's KK, that was the back of the net. Hi there, Joe. All right, good to hear you this morning. It's like you once a day for being in the background. You never know what's going to happen yet. And I do see the WATDN is not connected. Don't know what's going on with that one this morning, but it's hard to tell. Yeah, they might be sleeping or trying to find coffee, so they're kind of... All right, buddy, you take care and we will talk at you later, buddy. All right, OK, let's go to KG6WKO, Kathy. Good morning, how you doing? KG6WKO, Kathy. Well, I'm sort of busy because I don't come very often, but I was up early this morning. It's supposed to be 90 degrees here, so I have to take the dog out for a walk and stuff. I lost my timer, so I got my set bit in my hand trying to watch the time. So I'm showing up for the three minutes because I don't know what I did with that little timer I used. I've been cleaning up the house and I actually started with my computer, which I didn't think I used. It's Windows 10 and in October it's not going to be supported at all. And it's an old computer, so I couldn't upgrade. And so it was either buy a new computer or take that one down. And I decided to not have a computer because I rarely use it, although my hand radio thing is on there to program my little bay thing, my little handheld radio. And my iTunes music I lost, but I decided to not get another one. And so I've been really busy. I started with the computer, now I'm starting with closets and cleaning things up. And some place I put that timer, which I'm going to be looking for. And I'm sorry, I missed you, it was because I was looking for the timer. So anyway, I took out the hard drives on my computer and two external hard drives that actually died and I couldn't get the information off of them. So I saw YouTube and I took them all apart and took out the little platters. I took out four platters from my computer and a platter for each of the hard drives. And now I have six platters that I don't know what to do with because they're like metal. They're like DVDs but metal. And to break them, I don't know. So they're in my bookcase. So anyway, it's free to get rid of all the stuff. I'm telling you right now, it's very free. I've been here 30 years and I've collected things that I don't use in closets and stuff. Anyway, I'm going to turn it over to you because I don't know how long I've been on and I don't have my timer. Back to you, 86WKO CABI, exit 73. Alright, sure CABI, alright. Yeah, good to hear you. It has been a while since I've heard you, so there you go. Let's see, well you can always try putting them in, putting them by metal platters in a place and bend them over and everything else. And get rid of them that way. Your dad will wait for some place that has a computer drop, old computer drop off and just drop everything off of them and they'll get rid of everything for you. So there you go. Alright, UJ Caron will say 73 for them. Alright, with that let's go down here to stand and metal. KB7, DBW, good morning metal, how you doing? Well, I guess I'm doing okay right now. I took my tie-lock drill here an hour ago and so I'm not in any pain right now. Let's see, my son came over yesterday and we started cleaning out of that bedroom and got rid of a few things. So he's going to have to come over again I guess or I'm going to have to work on it. One box at a time. I don't know right now, but when you first came out I was hearing a radio in the background. But it seems to have gone away now so maybe you turned it down. But that's it from, well it's going to be almost 100 degrees tomorrow and Monday here. So, good thing we got a new air conditioner put in here a couple of months ago. So we should be fine. KB7, DBW, back to you. Alright, good to hear you this morning. Yeah, well we're supposed to be like 85 today and then going to get closer to 90s next week and stuff like that with a chance of rain coming in. So there you go. But heat index is going to really, really make it bad here. So there you go. Alright buddy, we'll say 73 to you and you have yourself a great day. Alright, this is the worldwide friendship event. I am November 8th, I'm going to tell you that I'm here in Springfield, Ohio. And temperature is slowly going up, but it is humid out there. So with that I am looking for some more check-ins so please come in with your calls done. Slowly InfinitiX and TWICE. I should say you're familiar with the game, but you know, even if we only had eight people, and again it depends on where, you never know how many people are going to come in first thing on a Saturday morning. So it'll be interesting, and you know, if it turns out to be a big giant bust, then you know, we'll strap it. But if it's a hit, then maybe we'll add it to the rotation. You really do have fascinating stories and the way you tell them is this, you're a great storyteller and so you already know this I'm sure but as I am really good at what I do, I like to be told that I'm good at it and you are really good at what you do. I like to tell people what they're good at. Gray, thank you man. We'll come back to you next round. And yeah, I want to know more about your stories, your adventures. They're just, they seem fine. They really do. All right, well that's going to move us to reading three FBX. Bentley, the mic is yours. I'm going to repeat the questions. We were talking about Mars, briefly, and if it was colonized, who would govern it? I'm kind of in agreement with Gray. Real quick, I'll go ahead and give a brief thought of what I think. Yeah, I think it's going to be corporate. It's going to be a joint venture between corporate and government. Probably China, United States, probably the other two countries that could do it. Anyhow, it would be a joint venture and you're right. I think for the first 50 to 100 years, it would be joint Iran from Earth managed and communicated. But humanity don't do well whenever they're drifted off like that. Look at our countries here on the same Earth. I mean, shoot, we all share the same round marble in space and we can't get along on it. What makes you think we're going to get along on two separate planetary bodies? But I do think that in 30, you know, 50 to 100 years after that, there would be some kind of a war because that's what humanity is good at. And yeah, it's just, I don't think it would end well. Anything we touch tends to weather and die when it comes to nature and things like that. So I don't have high hopes for it. Although it is really cool being a star track fanatic, I would love to experience it. So yeah, if humanity was colonized, if we were able to colonize Mars, who should run it? That's kind of the question. So the mic is yours, KJ5IOQ. This is VE3FBX. Thanks. I don't think we should, not until we get our act together down here. I don't think we have any rights or should be running out anywhere else. You know, like you said, we tend to wreck everything we touch. I think until we get our crap together here and can get along and keep things running properly, I don't think we should be moving out anywhere. If we do, I could definitely see it being corporate. I don't know some of the corporations the way they are now and the people trying. I don't think government would be involved. And I think that might make it even a little worse. And let's see, boy, a lot of stuff to talk about here. Well, I did, I guess I'll report in, I did my Morse code fix, which I'm really glad I'm able to get that, using my portable POTUS station, 10 watts, and I did work all over the United States, Texas and coast to coast, Virginia and Oregon. Anyway, my Morse code is completely satisfied today. I didn't do any single side dad, but I am talking here. So, but I do have a little set up for a portable operation that works great in the house here, until we move. The last cell is going to move, good luck on that. We're moving from Colorado to Ohio. Anyway, so, kind of going through that myself. Let's see what else to say. We're going to go play some music today over at the memory care place, assisted living, and hopefully have a good time doing that. So, anyway, back over to you there, Kevin. Please keep me on the list. I'll see if I can learn something. I did finish up breakfast number one and number two, and I'll wait for my wife to get done doing her chores, and then we'll have breakfast number three, I think, today. This is N0BF, back in that. Yeah, I'll certainly do that. I'll certainly do that. No problem, Steve. You're in the building. And Bentley's next in a second. So, yeah, a lot of times, too, I've been sold, like, at the Metro Mart. It's kind of like a ghetto sort of convenience store that's close to here. And so, I think there was that one time they sold me this big thing of oatmeal and told me it was cereal. They were trying to buy cereal. So, I thought that was funny. I mean, that worked, but it wasn't what I asked for. And then, I don't know, typically I don't really buy cereal either, so it really depends. You know why? It's a waste of milk. You use a lot of milk when you eat cereal. Whereas, I could buy, like, we buy bags of milk in Canada, right? Bags of milk would be about five or six of those cartons of milk that you can also get, too. And they just last so long when you're not wasting it on that junk. All right, so thanks, and the next station is Bentley. Over to you. VE3FBX. Good morning, everybody. Best of luck with the two fellas who are moving. I just moved last year into my little place here. Moving sucks. No other way to describe it. In Canada, so not in Canada, we buy milk in bags. It's an Ontario thing. I've lived almost coast to coast, and the only place I've found milk in bags is here in Ontario. Today is going to be a quiet one. I'm working on a case for my sherry to get it into the rack, so I can keep it up a little more, and then I can be able to wander around in the yard and in the house with the handheld and stay on Echo Link. That'll be nice. Other than that, just sipping on coffee number one and smoke number three. Going to be a decent day up here in the north, I hope. It looks like it. They're talking in the 20s, so not too terribly hot. It should be just a nice fall morning. 73. Back to you for now, Kevin. Well, I'll be in B.C. before the weekend of Thanksgiving, which is America's Columbus Day. They have their Columbus Day on the weekend of our Thanksgiving, and I plan to go a few days before them. I'll tell you if they come in bags there. I thought they did. I thought a lot of things they have in Ontario, they have in B.C. too. They just don't call it the same thing like there. The stupid LCBO is some kind of like B.C. wine. It's a different name. And then the TGC is called something else there. So there are certain things like that that don't match. But one thing that does match is the unclosed officers that get on the bus and they tell you they're there to make sure that you have proof of pay. And they'll run you in if you don't. But the way they get in the bus is the way you would get in if you're hopping. So you'd see a couple of guys sneaking onto the back, obviously waiting their turn to go out of their way to go into the back of the bus. And then you're thinking, okay, is somebody hopping? It isn't. It's somebody that's waiting to catch somebody that's hopping. And they figure anyone that's sitting in those seats, the closest seats, they check those people right away because they're the ones... That's what you would do if you hopped on. You wouldn't just hop on and then run right to the front where the driver is at. You'd hop on. It depends where you hop on. If it's in that big, long middle, then you try to get the seats there. Or if you hop on to the very, very back, you try to get the little long seat in the very back. And so those people are checked the most. And then of course, the funniest thing, being blind, being handicapped, there are also places you get chucked to. Like I could be in the front, pay for my fare, and then the driver will say, well hey, take those seats in the back. It'll be convenient for you. Yeah, convenient for me being one of the first people your stupid officers check. Because I don't know if you know this, and I don't tell the driver that. I think they should know. I'm thinking in my head, I don't know if you know this, but you got these hall monitors that get on as riders. They gotta know, right? I'm sure they know. Vancouver has a lot of that too. But way more. It's way more intense. Just multiply how you're treated in Toronto times a million. And that's pretty much Vancouver. A lot of times they make fun of us, right? Like they'll say, you guys are bringing in all your trash here. You know that, right? Kinda, kinda sorry. But if you want to keep any money, you avoid all those places, right? Like I don't imagine a young student is motivated to live in any of those places, right? Like we go through them because we have to. But I don't imagine a 15 year old is dreaming to go to Vancouver, or in Vancouver, dreaming to go to Toronto, right? In fact, everyone in Vancouver is migrating, right? Like a lot of them are going to Alberta and other places. So it's just, it's just overcrowdedness. It's everywhere. So just picture, if any complaint that you have about Toronto, no parking, the buses, it's 10 times worse in Vancouver. So there you go. Alright, we will get back to Benny. Looks like he's in the building. Next station I have, I got two more in here. Next station I have is Josh. I keep saying that because it's definitely stating the obvious. And you have to be dead not to know. And keep still dead. By the way, okay, the next station we have, over to Bentley for your final. VE3FBX, thanks for doing the net today Kev. Best of luck to the gentlemen shopping for houses and moving. Everybody have a great weekend. I'm about to head out the door. Everybody take care. 73. Hey, no problem, no problem. By the way, I got an update on my brother. It's come to my attention through several sources. I have it on several reliable sources. It's a for sure thing now. It's definitely carved in stone. And it's true to be true. To be true of to be true. And that is his ass is indubitably still dead. He hasn't made a resurrection. And he's deader than dead. And that's what they seemingly said. They said, your brother Kyle Bate. They said, your brother food for the buzzards. And that's what seemingly he is. So weeks later, going into the labor day weekend, it might be two months later. His ass indubitably has got to be worm food. Not too pleasant for the worms, that's for sure. So that's about the status on Kelly Kwan. Next station is Peter. There's a part where, like before you go into the tunnel, you still have cell service. So you do everything really fast, close all the apps, finish your text, and then Vroom! No more service. So, that's the story of my life when I enter the Greenwood subway station. Bentley, you're next. Over to you, Bentley. This is VE3FBX. I'm actually going to take some time to answer your question, Kevin. In the early 2000s, I got my step-daughters into Robot Wars out of the UK. And then, eventually, my grandson got involved in it. And he wanted a character or a toy of one of the robots. It took me, God, at least six months to find it and had to order it from the UK used. It cost me a stupid amount of money. Managed to get it for him before Christmas. And I think he's still got it now. I think it sits on a shelf in his room. That's the most I've gone out of my way for any collectible or toy. Other than that, I've been sitting here drinking my coffee, having a smoke, got my ass dressed, and it's looking like time to get outside. I had some shopping I've got to go and do, too. I'll hang around as long as the net stays on, and after that, it's going to be off into the world. Back to you, Kevin. That sounds like a lot of fun. So, I'm glad he's happy about that. Yeah, I'm not a collector. I think the closest is sometimes I'll hoard valuable things, but it's got to be a realistic hoard. Okay, what do I mean by that? For instance, I used to probably hoard vape pens, the marijuana disposable vape pens. And it would only make sense as long as I'm using them. Like, why save and buy and accumulate 20 or 30 of them if you're hardly really using them? Then you have them and you're not really using them. So, I don't quite do that, but usually in the winters, I'll get a handful of them. Like, right now, I went to the dispensary and I bought... Well, I didn't buy it at once. I bid it my time and I saved like eight of them. And where I want to use them in the winter, because I sneak them in my office sometimes when I'm not supposed to, I've never been nabbed by the vape detectors, but I can. And I'll be murdered on the day that that happens. But I'm checking for... I don't use the school washroom. I was warned about that. So, I use my personal office there. Well, now you can't get those, just because of those dumb kids. Craven's used to make... It wasn't a wine tip, but it had like a sugar coating on the filter of their cigarettes. I used to like those, and they don't have those anymore. So, the damn kids kind of blew that up. You know, they blew up that spot. It's blown up. It's all blown up. Okay, the next station that I've got on the list... So, thanks a lot, Beverly. We'll get back to you is Peter.
