And I love you right back Anne. Thank you for checking the net. And you know, retroactive continuity. I do retroactive continuity on my stories, even the one of the ones that I haven't published yet. I'm always going back. And you have to make what you've already written be consistent with where you've gone with the story. So to me retconning is like breathing. It's a fact of life if youíre a writer. Take care, Ann. Iím 33 to you and 88 to you and yours. Next on the list is KE6RAX, Peter in California, who is in today, this evening. Peter, please give us your report. Well, itís mostly weather, but with Jeff, I thought, he said he ran out of food for of food for the squirrels. The other day, he somehow ended up with two 20-pound eggs to last them until next year, or maybe it's just he didn't put any out, and they were out there running around looking for ones that were in the house, but maybe I misunderstood. The weather we're having this morning, I'm on the balcony talking to somebody on the end of the county and they're in their shack and they said it's they have to go back house and I've seen it on the porch and it's sunny and dry and pleasant and somebody else came on and said oh man it poured it couldn't sleep last night it was so bad never heard anything and then about an hour later we had a shower pass over me didn't last long but they were saying showers and isolated thunderstorms so I guess I lucked out and just got through the day inside Monday as house cleaning day and getting stuff organized for the week and worked on a download on my laptop and it wants me to download an update And a friend was over and we both played with it, and we could not get it to update and it keeps sending updates all the time and They also sends it's got the professional and they want you to pay for so I filled up the day back 86 are a"

Actually, it's already started. We've got a rain cloud just approaching. Well, know over us already and so our temperature earlier today was zero degrees centigrade and by tomorrow morning it's going to be around about four or five degrees centigrade for warming up overnight.
Good morning and welcome to the World Wide Friendship Net for October 24, 2025. This is Casey 7YFE. My name is Dale and I'm serving as your Net Controller today. This is a Directed Net and all calls must be made to the Net Control. Our thanks goes to Michael Wolf, W8MW for the use of the Great Lakes Reflector 9617 and the Michigan Conference 96170. Our thanks goes to Joe, well Joe Ruby is not there, but what was that CQ1 here? I need a dial. I also want to thank Darrell Warford, VL1UKG for linking up the Do Drop In node and to all other nodes. Do Drop In and to all the other node owners for the use of their nodes that we may bring this Net, that will bring you the World Wide Friendship Net. Finally, thanks goes to all of you for taking time out of your day to check in and participate. If you have any emergency or priority traffic, use a double break in your call and it will stop the Net and allow you to conduct your traffic and we'll help you out in any way we can. After the emergency, we will return to normal operations, normal Net communications. I don't have a question of the day, so I think it's time to take some check-ins here. Okay, is there anyone that is short time and mobile, please come slowly, phonetically and twice and give your name. Short time and mobiles only at this time. Victor Oscar 1 Uniform Kilo Zulu.
Well, Junaid, thank you so, so very much for checking in. It's always, always a pleasure. It really is. And thanks for all you do. And we do like to talk critters here, and thanks for all your critter support. And of course, all you do for amateur radio as well, and with the 11Cats.org, your 11Cats network there, and the connections and everything else. So much enjoy your support, your information, everything else. Thank you, thank you so much. And folks, once again, check out, well, go to TI5SSRs and qrz.com page, or go to the website 11Cats.org. Good stuff. Thank you so much, Junaid. You have a wonderful, wonderful weekend, and we hope to check into at least one or two nights over the weekend with yourself, either later on, but usually maybe the amateurs for Tri-Snite on a Sunday, or the Litterbox Lounge. And yeah, do try on there as well. Goodness me. Wonderful nights. Wonderful, wonderful people that check in there. Go and check it out, folks. Absolutely wonderful. So good stuff. We'll see you soon, and thanks again. Have a wonderful weekend there, Junaid. Say hi to Mike. We'll say all the best to TI5SSR. And with that, I have also added KC7YFE to the list. He's checked in on the game window. Good to see you there, Dale. And I'll be bringing you in the GW8SADL very, very soon. So Dale, you might have the second part of the night to begin with. But in the meantime, I'm going to probably conclude with speaking to our friend Paul. AJ Paul, out there in the log moment. Mike, Mike 3, Delta, Delta, Quip 8. Paul, welcome, sir. Happy Friday. And Paul, the mic is all yours. Go ahead, sir.
Very good Roy. Well you know I do like the FD5 I have to say. And there are a couple of issues with it. There's a wee flaw in the case near the DTT button and sometimes that does actually cause a little bit of a break without any knocks or anything else that can happen. But I have to say, ACUT, I can't speak for them across the pond. But this one I'm using just now, it was out of warranty. But it kind of broke up and I got in touch with them and said send it to us. And within a few days I had it back with a new case on it and everything else. It's a known fault so I think even if it's out of warranty they'll look after it. And there's a couple of things with the FD5 but it's still my preferred handheld. It's there and it's got everything I want on it and more good stuff. So that's a great deal for you that's for sure. Anyway Roy, well thank you so much. And of course Roy is the voice of Friday and he was also the voice of Tuesday on the Absolute TechNet. I think he had some tech issues on Tuesday as well Roy but I think he was glad to be able to at least check in as a kind of listener. So anyway, hope you enjoyed the Tuesday as well. And of course that is Roy is the voice of Friday and he'll ask a more than eight and shortly we'll hear the voice of Saturday. That's Jeanette, Texas Kisser, TI5SSR, she's the voice of Saturday. Anyway Roy do you have anything else final before we move on? TI7PTL one more time back to you my friend.
Well, thank you, thank you so much. And Jeanette, you've always got so much to share, you always have. And days gone by prior to you having that wonderful website, we used to always give a kind of public service warning out there. Jeanette's coming up, folks, to get your pencils and your paper out and make sure you're ready to scribble it all down. But of course, nowadays, we don't have to do that. We can go to your magical website. That is, of course, all the w's.11cats.org. And it's all there. So everything about the happy hour, which is coming up in just over two hours' time. And the litter box lounge night on a Saturday and the Amateurs for Christ night on a Sunday. And good to hear you're going to be at the helm of the absolute tech night on a Tuesday as well. So good stuff. And it starts kind of midnight here, Tuesday time. So I do kind of try and at least get a check-in and say hi and just let you know I'm here. So anyway, Jeanette, thank you, thank you so much. I do have a question because I've got my nosy-nos on today. You might have heard earlier I've been asking people questions and that's just the way it is. Oh, I just see you've popped in your 11cats.org in the game window there. And I also see that Simon has now switched to TeamSpeak. He's been offered some help from the GW8SCL there. But having said that, he's now swapped over to TeamSpeak. So we should be able to hear Simon. I just have to really be finished with Jeanette. But Jeanette, I've got a question for you out there in Great Fine, Texas. And it just sounds wonderful. You've got your fishing boat there. You go out on, I presume, a lake somewhere. So I do like to kind of explore and Google maps or other maps are available, of course. And they just check out different neighborhoods. So I presume your fishing boat is kind of moored on a kind of local lake or something. If you care to share, can you tell me what the lake is? Where do you go and do that wonderful, wonderful fishing? Because I'll kind of zoom in on maps and do a wee nosy because that's just the person I am. TI5SSR from Nosy. GM0UUB.
Well, Jeanette, it's always a pleasure. Thank you, thank you so much. And hey, listen, you're so busy with all the different bits and pieces that you do, and we so much appreciate it. It's absolutely wonderful. And yeah, fine business. Thanks for the warning about updating firmware and Apple and this and that. You know, Jeanette, I haven't even updated. I keep on being asked. We're working with Windows 10 here, and I've been asked to, of course, as anybody that works with Windows 10, is regularly asked to update to Windows 11. I haven't. I've kind of refused so far. So in the early days, I did hear that the Windows 11, some amateur radio applications and the software business, and all the rest did not work. It wasn't compatible. It stopped working. So I thought, well, hey, there's no reason for me to update. So I've never updated to Windows 11. Maybe there's no reason why not to now. I'm not too sure. I need to ask somebody. Maybe I'll go on that absolute tech net, and ask them what applications might not work for amateur radio applications if I update to Windows 11. Could that be a question on the absolute tech net at some point? I'm not too sure. But anyway, that's it. I'm hanging on to Windows 10 right now. So there we go on the PC. But thanks for the Apple warning there as well. So yeah, it's always a thing when you update firmware. That's for sure. Anyway, Jeanette, do you have anything else for us before we move on?
I'm at an outdoor table at a little outdoor place with the umbrellas and just had coffee and a blueberry coffee cake. I had to throw all that in because it's just perfect right now. I think for me also happy birthday tomorrow there, before I forget. I'm 77 and sometimes I get forgetful. But I'm okay motorcycling. I'm on my motorcycle right now, marked of course. But I'm actually getting better at that than I was in my 20s. I've had plenty of experience, thousands of miles of riding. I accelerate quicker, go through the gears better and I'm in the right gear at the right time. That's just from experience. Now bicycle riding, the location here is where I usually bicycle ride to. But this morning was a good day for motorcycling. So that's why I'm on the motorcycle. Back when I was in my 20s and 30s I would ride the Chicago lakefront bicycle path and no one, absolutely no one would pass me. I was the fastest rider out there. And on a Sunday when it's crowded out there with people at the beach, it could be a little dangerous but I never hit anybody. I'll talk to you real quick."
