And yeah we're actually just struggling here a little bit with the time difference as well. The UK changed clocks into winter time on Saturday evening into Sunday morning, so we went back in our bus. And the outcome is all my nets now, US sites seem to be running an hour earlier than they were last week. I'm just trying to get my head round that. But we're getting there. So I missed a couple of nets yesterday because my calculations were wrong. And there we go, but yeah the callsign is really just a vanity callsign, it's just a change. It's not an upgrade as such, it's a light for life really. It's just been an opportunity to change the callsign here in the UK and a few stations have been taking advantage of it. A lot of us just kept giving the callsign and there was no choice at the time when you got your license of what you wanted to do. But I happened to go on the weekend and I come out with this one and I thought I really like that call so decided to go for it while it was available. I've been having really good fun with it actually. I'm working some FP8 at the moment and I've seen an increase in responses so that's always good. And the rest of my weekend was probably spent reprogramming my radios, DMR and all sorts of things that have to be redone. Also had to send my license off for, it wasn't All-Star, Echo Link, it had to upgrade all of that. DMR IDs, all sorts of things that are all linked up to the callsign. So it's kept me busy this weekend. And one other news, we've been getting ready for Halloween as well. My son is 10 years old and he is so excited about going to a country and he cannot wait. Unfortunately in the last while, you know, someone left who was important to the net, and it was a direct result of being fired at repeatedly, and that's not cool. You know? But what I'm trying to say, I guess, is that, you know, sometimes people's personal feelings regarding an individual will come out, and it just seems like there's more of it lately because the one particular incident was responded to, and it got a lot of reactions. And now it seems that every time someone has an issue that involves their personal feelings, it's being brought to my attention, and if something is brought to my attention as system manager, I have to try to handhold a little bit even though I don't want to. But it is what it is, man. We've got a lot of people out here that participate in this net, and in having such an open environment, there's bound to be head bumping now and then. So we just try to let that go and try not to let it bother us, but unfortunately sometimes people get bothered and try to deal with it as best we can but without holding people's hands and saying, you know, being people's therapist, because if you need a therapist, they bill out at $100 an hour.
