That's too bad. Um, okay, well, I'm just a meatloaf lover in the house, so we're gonna go to Josh. KJ5IRQ Josh. B-loaf. Do you like it? Do you make it? How do you make it? This is KC2PKG. This is Repeater Station Kilo 7, KJ. I would like to know who actually eats meatloaf. Kilo is nasty. I mean, it's filled with crap like meat. And binders. And spices. Oh, wait. Meat. I'm the people. I love meatloaf. I, uh, actually, I don't even care for the meatloaf when it's cooked. I'll eat it, mashed potatoes and all that. Cool, whatever. Man, it's the next day. I'm telling you, that's where it's at. Meatloaf sliced up, served on some bread. Where it's at. Especially if you have a little bit of, you know, gravy and a little bit of mashed cabbage. I do the same thing on Thanksgiving, though. The next day on Thanksgiving, I usually make me a Thanksgiving sandwich. And it's gonna have turkey and cranberry and stuffing. And, yeah, it's just one big nasty sandwich. Man, it's so... Meatloaf. Yes, we do have meatloaf here. And it's different to anyone who makes it. My last cooks are completely different than how I do. I do two versions. One's a gourmet version and one's just an everyday version. The everyday version, I either get really good ground beef or I buy a chuck roaster and make it myself. There's a texture thing involved with meatloaf, I think. I also don't just use generic breadcrumbs on it. My life almost always has some sourdough bread around here somewhere. So we drive that out and we make the breadcrumbs out of that. But what I do in mine, I think a lot of people do, maybe not on this match. At least here, in my neck of the woods. We're moving our meatloaf together. We've got our meat in our binders and spices. Bell peppers and onions. It's already been softened. Sometimes I grill them and then I'll saut\u00e9 them a little bit. Get that char built into it. Lay all those profiles. And, yeah, we'll get that whole sucker mixed together. And then what I do is I'll hollow out the center and put some cheese in there. And I'll cover it up with some more meat, you see. So basically I made a meatloaf pocket for cheese. But it doesn't end with that. No, no sir. I like to go one step further. And I'll throw that sucker on my smoker. If you've never had smoked meatloaf. Now, I'm not saying liquid smoke. I've used that in the past and it works to the pitch. But it's a poor substitution for a good smoked meatloaf. Unfortunately, this day and age, eating smoked really kind of hurts my digestive track. But that's one of those things that I'll have. Gosh, I'll probably don't make meatloaf like that twice a year maybe. It's a lot of work. But, man, I'll tell you what. It is the best meatloaf. And I also kind of like Dell. I don't use ketchup. We make a barbecue sauce and it's a simple barbecue sauce. We make it for chicken, for everything basically. And we use that. So, yeah, there you go. KJ5, IOKU, back to the neck control. I'm not a big fan of smoked things, but that sounds really good. KJ5, IRQ, this is KC2, PTG. All right. We will move on to KN6, UYZ. Do you like meatloaf, John? And do you make meatloaf? Or what is your favorite meatloaf? What about you? Uh, lost your name. Okay. KN6, UYZ. This is KC2, PKG. Uh, good morning again, KN6, UYZ. Yeah, I like meatloaf a lot. Although I've never made it in 77 years. Uh, because I don't really know how. I don't really know much about spices and things like that. Uh, I guess my favorite way of having it would be the way my mother used to make it. However that was. So, I guess I like meatloaf. Uh, but, uh, what, barbecue sauce on the top? Yeah, I'm sure that would be tasty, and I would be happy to eat that. Especially with some mashed potatoes. But, uh, the way I was used to it was with some kind of ketchup, uh, flavoring on the top. So that would be my preferred way to go. So I don't have anything that interesting, I just don't make it. Never have anything that interesting about it. I don't want to have any of that. Uh, I'll tell you what that is. I'm going to get a little bit of a good slice of meatloaf. Uh, I've got a little bit of a good slice of meatloaf. And, uh, I've got the chicken and the chicken. I just don't make it, never have, but if somebody wants to invite me over, I'll be happy to come and eat it for you. KN6UYZ, back to Nat. Beep. KN6UYZ. All right, we gotta take her. If you got extra meat, we'll invite John over. This is KC2PKG. Oh, and you got my mind to whirl. Josh, with the meatloaf sandwiches, they really are good. They really are good. That used to be my first wife's favorite thing in the world was meatloaf sandwiches. And you really have to work on the body of the loaf itself, so it can be sliced very, very thin. And that takes a little extra binding to make it work like that. All right, Chuck, AA4HI. Hey, loaf, do you like it? Do you make it? And if you do, how do you make it? This is KC2PKG. Beep. You know, Cory, I'm not a big fan of meatloaf. It's okay. But it's not my favorite food. Well, I mean, maybe my wife maybe makes it a couple times a year, and never in the summer. You know how it is here. I don't see anything like that in the summer. At least me, I don't. So I don't really go crazy when I hear it's being cooked. I'm like, okay. I don't think it's wonderful, so to speak. But anyway, that's the way it goes. What do y'all like, what was it like? So I'm great, I don't like it. With some ketchup on top, onions, and whatever else is in it. But I don't know, I really am not like cheese. I can't wait to eat it. So I probably went on to the first one who says I really just don't like meatloaf. Anyway, back with you, AA4HI. Beep. Ah, we got one. AA4HI, this is KC2PKG. I was waiting for somebody to say I really don't like meatloaf. So you won the prize, gold star for you. All right, Terry, MM0RKN. Meatloaf, do you make it, do you like it? Is it different in Scotland somehow? We'd love to know all your thoughts about meatloaf. So this is KC2PKG, over to you, MM0RKN. Beep. Beep. We'd use lean scotch beef mince, three rashers of bacon, finely chopped, an onion, finely chopped, carrots, tomato, and some herbs would be put in there as well. Maybe like chives or parsley or something. And you'd have three tablespoons of fresh bread. And it would be put into a baking tin. Just cook, you can slice it into nice slices. It's perfect for sandwiches as well. So yeah, that's how the traditional Scottish meatloaf is there today. MM0RKN, back to net control. Beep. MM0RKN, this is KC2PKG. That sounds good. That sounds like a recipe that would work. You know, there's two basic philosophies I've noticed for meatloaf. You can have meatloaf with gravy and potatoes, or you can have meatloaf with ketchup. And I've never seen the two put together, but the philosophy up here in Maine, where we go, the meatloaf has gravy on it, tons of it, and lots of potatoes. So meat and potato cake. But when I was growing up, it was sliced much finer. It had ketchup on it, there's the eight, it had ketchup. November, Quebec, November. All-star notes, please use. And so just a totally different thing. Some people put them in a loaf sheet, and some people put them on a baking sheet, a rimmed baking sheet, and they just leave it open, a mound. That's how my son does it. And either one works, either one works. Okay, Bill, N9OFU. Meatloaf, we're talking meatloaf here. Do you like it? Do you make it? And if so, how? This is KC2PKG. All right, well, no, I don't make it. And my wife doesn't make it. So if I eat it, the only chance I get to eat it is if I find it out in the wild. I use a bow and arrow, shoot it, take it down. You know? No, but there's Chuck's Up, Flying J, and Pilot. They all have meatloaf. And every now and then, I'll grab one of their slices of meatloaf, you know, get it with potatoes and vegetables. And it comes with a red paste on it, either ketchup or something. Similar, maybe I have tomato paste, but I think it's probably more ketchup. I think my mom used to make it when I was a kid, because I seem to recall having it when I was a kid. But other than that, it's just being able to grab it. Sometimes when I'm out on the road and I get a hankering for it, I remember, every now and then I might find a buffet that has some meatloaf as one of the items on there. So I usually grab some of that too. But that's what I know about meatloaf. I don't eat it. It's not something I go out of my way for that I have to have, but I don't mind it. It's a fine meat-like substance that I do enjoy eating from time to time. All right, back to you. Oops, sorry, sorry. Also, the other last question. I remember my mom had gotten a screen door, a wooden screen door from someone who moved and it didn't fit her door. So it was my chore to take that thing and make it fit. So I had to do some trimming here and there, then add some stuff on the bottom to keep the bugs out. I totally forgot about that. So I was proud that I was able to get that put together and up for her and her mobile home there in Casa Grande. Back to you. N90FU, this is KC2, PKG. It's interesting, because I just finished retrimming a screen door to fit in a very, very old porch where everything is warped. So we used a spring and a wire to pull it tightly closed. Come on, because screen doors aren't much fun if they've got big cracks around them. All right, KM4QVC Jeff Meatloaf, we're talking Meatloaf. Do you like it? Do you have it often? Do you not make it? And if you do, then how do you make it? This is KC2, PKG. KC2, PKG, KM4QVC. Josh was talking about she just bakes it to that right, I don't know, it's kinda crispy around the edges a little bit, and then ketchup on top. So I think she puts that on there because she gets it out. Anyway, I love it, I love it. And later that same day, we used that for supper. I'll make the sandwich with a little mayo, white bread, and just a touch more ketchup. So yeah, man, I'm all about it for KM4QVC. All right, another big vote for Meatloaf. This is KC2, PKG, thank you very much, KM4QVC. And we'll try Ralph again, see if he's out there. Hey, YQJ, do you like Meatloaf, Ralph? And do you make it? We'd love to know how you make it. This is KC2, PKG."},{"callsign_confidence":0.8200000000000001,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-04T05:20:33+00:00","id":13978,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":13977,"text":" KN4 at OBS, this is D. Is it in Asia? KN4 at OBS. This is repeater station. KN4 at OBS, it is not in Asia. All starts at OBS. KN4 at OBS, it is not in Asia. Uh, KJ5, IRQ, what's your question, Josh? Uh, let's see, let's find that most efficient way to narrow this down, huh? KJ5, IRQ. If it's, uh, going to my countries would take a while. Golden continents would be quicker. Uh, there's only seven of them. And I think we can probably rule out and on it, huh? Or it might be a good one to pay for it, would you? Um, so that's gonna leave six contacts. So we can't really do it by a climate because it almost sort of gets hot and almost sort of gets cold. Yes, contacts are probably, that's probably the easiest way. Um, let's go with, uh, oil in Europe. Is it a place in Europe? No, it is not. It is not in Europe. That was the third question and we go to Ron, AA4HL, what is your question, Ron? Okay, uh, is it related to a country? It is definitely related to a country. To a country. Alright, so it's not in the US, it's not Asia, not Europe. And it is related to a country. Um, we've been around it all. KN6UYZ, what is your question? This is KC2PKG. Alright, well, KN6UYZ, how about South America? It is not in South America. Next one is AA4HI. AA4HI, what is your question? Chuck, what is your question? Is it in Oceania? Oh, New Zealand and Australia, that area. No, it is not in Oceania. I hardly ever hear anybody say that. Oceania, but you're right, it's not there. It is definitely not there. So, uh, Terry, MM0RKN, what is your question? What is your question? MM0RKN, is it a desert-like place? Yes, it definitely qualifies as a desert-like place. Alright, and then we go to Bill, N90FU. Oh, yeah, you got it on key. Alright, excuse me, so it's a desert-y, is it somewhere in the Middle East? Is it in the East? Is it in the East? Is it in the East? Desert-y, is it somewhere in the Middle East? Yes, it is, it is in the Middle East. Alright, we move on down to Jeff Cam for QBC. I don't know if you've played this game before, but we're playing 20 questions, we're trying to narrow down the place I'm looking for. And so far, it's not in the US, it's not in Asia, not Europe, it's related to a country. It's not South America, not Oceania, and it is in a desert-like place, and I'm gonna tell Bill that it is in the Middle East. So what's your question? Is it Saudi Arabia? No, it is not Saudi Arabia, although it is close by. Okay, so it's not Saudi Arabia. And A, Y, Q, J, Ralph, what is your question? This is KC2PKG. Oh, me? Okay, so what's your question?"},{"callsign_confidence":0.8200000000000001,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T05:44:35+00:00","id":15394,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15393,"text":" Alright, we picked up KN4LBF, DE3FBX, Ben and N90FU-Mayo. Good morning to all three of you. We're going to start out with the KN4LBF. Good morning, D. How are you today? And you still think you'll be able to host the net next Saturday morning? If not, let me know. No big deal either way. What are your plans for the weekend, D? This is KN4LBF. This is D. Right now I am just giving thanks to be able to wake up this morning, give my gratitude. And it's 90 here, which is, well, it's going to be 90, which is great because it was 97 and over over here. We had a lot of rain and thunderstorms last night and it dropped the humidity just a little bit, just enough to be able to go out and do a couple of things. And not much today because today is my day of rest. But tomorrow I'll think about stopping by my friend's house and giving her some really beautiful veggies we have here. Anyway, not much and yes, I am going to be here on the 16th at 730. Yes, I am. I am ready. Okay, well, back to you, Kevin. This is KN4LBF. This is D. D, no offense, but that's a little warm. So it's early in the morning. That's downright hot. I just, what is it now? It went up from 63 to 64 here. And I can handle that, but I don't know that I could handle those temps down there this early in the day. That's a bit much. It's funny how, it doesn't sound like I'm the only one on this net this morning, but the older I get, the less I like the heat and the less I like the cold. So maybe we're just becoming old crotchety people that don't like it too hot, don't like it too cold. I don't know. But thank you for joining us, D, and we'll look forward to hearing you next weekend at this time. And now we're going to go down the list to VE3FBX. Ben, good morning to you. How are you today? Have you got any weekend plans that you want to share? Over to you. VE3FBX. Good morning, Kevin and everybody else up in the morning having a coffee. Been up for a grand total of a half an hour. It's my day to sleep in. Having my coffee, checking the news. Plans for the weekend are going to be relaxed. It's going to be a hot one here. Going to get into rewiring my radio setup. Finally got all the bits and pieces I want to get in. So hopefully this weekend I can get everything up on the air. Raised up one end of my engine at halfway. Then managed to hit Europe finally. So hopefully tonight and maybe tomorrow night we'll get some contact out that way. Other than that, going to take it easy. Back to you, Kevin. VE3FBX KM1X. Do you mind, Ben, if I ask you what kind of end fed halfway you got? Did you make it or did you buy it? VE3FBX. Kevin, I got lazy. I bought it off Amazon. I was planning to make a fantail dipole and just ran out of time this spring. Hopefully over the winter I get a chance to build the fantail and get it up next year. I just wanted to get up in the air. I'm a new ham. Just got my license this spring. Been in electronics and radio since the early 80s when I was a teen and into the Air Force. So yeah, this is it. VE3FBX KM1X. I want to say it was Monday. I was all ready to make a purchase of one. I had fed halfway. I liked my other one but it broke about a month ago. So I have been off HF now for the last month. What I was going to do was buy two. I was going to have one that was going to be pointing to the east. So that one would hit Europe. Then I was going to have one that was going to be pointing towards the west. I saw what was sitting in my cart online and how much it was going to cost. I thought, do I really need two? Can I just get away with one? So then I dropped it back to one. They won't deliver to my post office box for whatever reason. I get that if you get a battery or something, there's no reason why this couldn't get it. They won't deliver to a PO box. So I was going to have it delivered to my parents house knowing that I was going to be up there on Sunday. I said, well it's too early. I don't want to have it get delivered on Wednesday or something and they're going to be running around. I want them to be home when it happens. So I figured I'd wait until later in the week knowing that I forgot all about it. So I still haven't made the order. Now I'm toying with going back to getting two. If I get two, all I'm going to do is put the one pointing east up now and then I will wait until the foliage drops before I put the one going west up. I'm also concerned that the tree I'm using for the west one is not far enough away. I think the wire is 130 feet long or something like that. I think the tree is only 80 feet away or 90 feet away. So there's still a lot of extra there and I don't know. So we'll see. It'll make for an interesting winter though for sure. Thank you Ben. Let us know how you like that too. Bill! And 9-0-F-U. Good morning to you sir. Welcome to the Calabunga net. How are you? Where are you? And what are your plans for today? So listen, over to you. Okay. How are you doing? I'm going to push the button and then I'm going to pop back up. And I'm like, oh wait, you're not done talking yet. But I'm at home. My last day at home. Well, last morning at home I should say. My student is waiting for me. I'm just wondering if my truck has been fixed or gone to the shop yet. I put my truck in the shop Thursday morning. I wanted them to just check out the repair job on the differential. So I asked for that. And I figured that was just quick and easy just to make sure it wasn't leaking. But then I had some antifreeze coming out. These two hoses or top holes on the radiator causing leakage. I wasn't losing much antifreeze. But it was making a little bit of a mess inside the engine compartment. So I put it in there for that. That was the main thing. But when I went in yesterday morning, it sat all Thursday. So they had a lot of trucks they were working on. And now I'm just waiting. I didn't go back last night. And as far as I can tell from my air tag in the truck, the truck is sitting in the same area that it was when I put it in. But they may have taken it out and put it back. I'll find out this morning. All Star Note 6222 located in Shelton, Washington. Yep, just had to read the message. Yeah, I'm not sure. Okay. I may have been mistaken. We're trying to figure out tomorrow's net. And I knew he was going to be out here. But with respect to my intention that she was going to be covering your net next week. So maybe that's what I was getting. Or maybe I'm confused. And she's not going to be out here tomorrow. So we'll get tomorrow figured out. If nothing else, I might be able to pick it up. So we'll see what happens. But yeah, beautiful morning. I may have one here. All right, been able to get a full night's sleep the last couple nights. That's helped out a lot with the muscle relaxing in the back. So my leg hasn't been giving me too much bother. Plus I've been wearing my knee brace. So that's kind of helped keep things straight on my leg. So we'll see if we can continue. Usually I have like a week where my students got driving as a solo student. So I'm able to get a good night's sleep every night for the first week before I go back into team driving. Last time didn't quite work out that way because my last student already had enough hours that we were able to run team pretty much from the beginning. So we're still working on that. But good to be out here and keep me on the list. This is N9OFU back to KM1X. And I know if you KM1X, we're glad to hear that your back is doing a little bit better. I know last Sunday I played pickleball. And Monday morning, I was kind of sore all over. But I noticed that my Achilles in my right foot was burning. And I thought it was just because the heel of my shoe was rubbing up against it and it was just creating a lot of friction from running around. But it wasn't going away. A couple of days ago, I kind of just Googled burning sensation and Achilles tendon and they said that it sounded like it was tendonitis. And that you gotta take it easy and that it's common with people that play tennis or basketball like once a week. It's like, well, that sounds familiar. So there are some stretching exercises that I'm doing. They seem to think it seems to be coming from tightness in the calf. So I'm trying to stretch that out because I don't want to screw up my Achilles and need surgery or something like that. That would be new fun whatsoever. So we're just kind of taking it easy. All right. We are at the bottom of the list. We'll take one more call for check ins and then we're going to try to answer some questions or a question. So anyone anywhere that wants to get on the net come forward with your call sign now."},{"callsign_confidence":0.8200000000000001,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-13T06:02:09+00:00","id":16614,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16613,"text":" He may be at his second breakfast, so we'll keep him on the list and call him next time around. Now, let's go to KM1X. It's good to hear about it, Devon. You're up. N90FU, KM1X. Well, as far as I'm concerned, with regards to, again, the nation's capital, that is basically our front door, if you will. That's the front porch for the country. And, you know, we want it to look good. It isn't a big area. It's not a big deal. You know, all of us are paying, everybody that's paying taxes in this country is paying for the upkeep of the District of Columbia. You know, we're not paying for the upkeep of Chicago or LA or whatever. Now, with regards to LA, or California in general, according to CBS News, the state of California has spent $24 billion. Now, that's a lot of money, but California has the fourth or fifth largest economy in the world. They've spent $24 billion in the last five years on homelessness. And the number of homeless has done nothing but climb. So, throwing more money at it, I mean, if you build it, they will come. You throw more money at it, boy, that's where the homeless are going to go. So, I don't think that's the answer. Just throw more money at it and then have the rest of everybody that's working and paying taxes foot the bill for it. It's proven that it's not working right there. That's not the answer. They're the charities to kick in. Let them fund some of this, or most of it, to be honest with you. That's the Christian thing right there. I think it's ironic, too, that the people that are crying about tariffs, and, oh, the price of beans is going to go up. Well, you don't think that the price of your tax bill goes up every time you throw more money at the homeless? You can't have it both ways. And it's usually the people that are paying little or no taxes that are doing all the crying about it. And then you've got the rich that will pay through the nose for accountants to make sure that they don't have to pay one penny more in taxes than necessary. By every loophole, I do not want to have to pay any taxes. But everybody else should have to pay more taxes because we need to spend more and spend more and put it on this and that and that. So, you know, I think throwing money at the problem is not going to solve it. And I've said it before, the Bible says the poor you will have with you always. So maybe this is God's way of saying, let's go on the street, bring a homeless person into our house, and we'll take care of them. And keep it out, keep our hands out. We'll do it. Mano a mano. This is repeater station kilo kilo seven November, Quebec, November. All star note. Six times. Well, thank you. There. The shelter, Washington. Sorry about that. I was talking to another driver here and he just got back from medical leave. So we got John. I fixed on the list. So I will pass it over to you. How is things down the range of the. This is John K and six you wise things are things are warm and rancher could come on. You know, we're experiencing like a hundred degrees or something like that. They call it less usually when they say it's ninety five degrees. It's really a hundred hundred five. Something like that. Where they where they get the temperature reading from is, I don't know, some little building in the shade with sprinklers around it cooling the air. Or somebody who can't read a thermometer. I'm not sure which it is. Let's be back to homeless. You know, you know, he had a real heartfelt. Dissertation on the homeless in cages and whatever. And I thought what she said to his merit. But I also had I thought what a couple of other people. Ron and I forgot the other gentleman's name said, said I thought that was pretty accurate as well. So I don't think. There is going to be one single person, one single homeless person who is put in jail. They didn't ask for it. They're given a choice. Shelter treatment. Get with the program. It's only if they elect to just to not accept treatment, which I think is important. Or shelter. Would they go to jail? I mean, there has to be some teeth in the whole thing. I don't know that people or politicians want to build that many jails even to put the homeless in them. But, yeah, it's it's in my way of thinking. Sorry. It's the homeless person's fault. If he lands in jail because he's not willing to accept other choices. So I sort of like the program. I'm a lot of work on the guy. I like cleaning up the town. I like reducing crime. I like I like having beautiful cities. I'm sorry, but I think that's the way to go. Just a thought. Can you see why? Thanks so much. I think you're on. Yeah, I think that's a lot of people's. I mean, we have we have these cities. Yes, we do have homeless. But when the homeless. Defecating and, you know, spray painting. The homeless, I don't think are doing a lot of the spray painting. I think it's a lot of the kids and stuff like that doing graffiti and other things. You know, it's depressing for people. I mean, I've always, you know, I'd be you know, you live in San Diego, San Diego. And if I walked around, you know, it was just like the trash and graffiti and stuff like that. You know, it's like, hey, you know, this is a city and we're trying to bring people into the city to vacation and spend their money. We're asking San Diego to spend their money. You know, how many people don't want to be there and stay there? You know, because of that. So I think if you talk to the police, you know, there was a lot of people protesting over the things that are happening. But, you know, only a couple blocks where the people were protesting, someone was shot and killed. And their thing was, oh, it was sad that this guy got killed while we were protesting. It was like, no, it's just sad the guy got killed to begin with. You know, why is this crime happening in the lot? It was because 70 percent of the people that were getting these crimes, you know, they were in hands, like, you know, let go. There was no duper and nothing telling them, hey, we don't do this. We were just saying, well, we'd rather not have you do this. You know, we'll let you go. Please don't do it. Pretty, pretty. And these people were just laughing. They were just laughing because they knew nothing was going to happen to them. You know, you talk about the state capitol, Washington, D.C., you know, the crown jewel of the United States, it's supposed to be the crown jewel. And even the places that used to be safe were getting overrun by these gangs and youths that are underage. They're coming out carjacking and mugging and, you know, on the train or subway there that they have. And, you know, it's just appealing and nobody wants to go to D.C. because of it. And it should be the obvious telling. People should want to go to D.C. and, you know, see all the great wonders that they have there found in the country and all the great sites without having to worry about being mugged or being robbed or being carjacked. So hopefully they'll come up with a humane solution for everybody, you know, take care of criminals, do something, you know, good for homeless people. But, you know, you can fix it. And, you know, this is just one way to see it and they'll adjust it if they need to and go from there. That was my rant because I was next on the list, but we are at the bottom of the list. I'm going to take a quick call for check-ins. Is anybody up there? All right. All right, I'm here. I'm going to send them down because I just looked at the thing that said that I tied out. So I apologize, but I don't know. I said this was the end of the list. But they're looking for a check-in. So if anybody would like to get added to the column on the list, please call me out with a call sign and put your name. Kilo Romeo 4 Foxtrot Romeo Romeo. Kilo Romeo 4 Foxtrot Romeo Romeo. Daniel. Kilo Juliet 5 Foxtrot Oscar X-Ray KJ5 FOMP Chad Hado Tekal. We got KC2PKG and he's going to be in and out. VA3KKY Kevin and VE3FBX Ben, he's going to be in and out. AA4HO, this is Ron. And N90FU Bill. So, I'm going straight to you, Kevin. You're the first one. You hosed this morning and what you have planned for the weekend. You got the mic. Yeah, it's funny. The net is kind of almost like the pre-net where everyone's just waiting for everyone else to set it off. That's the funny thing. It's like, yeah, because it got to where I was like, if I don't squeeze the key, no one else will. And then I was like, see, what did I tell you? What did I tell you? And so, this morning was kind of one of those. But anyways, yeah, glad to hear you do the net. And that's good that you took the initiative on one of these here. I guess you might have planned it days and weeks before where Kevin knew that he might be absent. So, hey, that works very good. Yeah, I like pretty much filling in and kind of gleaming certain ideas from some net controllers too, right? You know, it kind of helps like some people have certain things to bring to the table. And so, yeah, I like filling in and it brings an interesting mix. So, we were pretty much through the night on Pins and Needles with the news. There's still, I guess, a standstill right now for Air Canada. I was actually even hearing it on the American news last night even. And it was just a matter of people worrying about their flights from, let's say, Sacramento to Toronto. Pretty much call that off. You could probably do the Sacramento to Vancouver routine a lot easier until they settle this whole thing. Because Air Canada is cancelling a lot of flights on account of the lockout that they're still in negotiation of. So, I'm still kind of following it a little bit. Yeah, as far as I know, we're pretty much anchors away for tomorrow. So, that will be the end of your Sunday kind of thing. I'm coming in to do the net sometime tomorrow. But as far as today, it took a while for me to wake up this particular Saturday. It was one of those, it was sort of one of those kind of toss and turn kind of evenings. But I made it. I managed to grab in a few good hours of sleep. So, I guess I should be here. We'll see what people set it off with. Uh... Come on, y'all. Y'all set it off too. Don't just leave it to me. I knew today you guys would."},{"callsign_confidence":0.8200000000000001,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-18T07:28:51+00:00","id":18586,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":18585,"text":" All right, I don't think we got right. You haven't really had a chance to dissect it yet, so I don't have a lot on it. Only that, you know, what bits and pieces I saw in the news, you know, the whole flying of the B2 bomber overhead with the jets. Some people would say it was a fanfare for him. I think after the last mission with us going into and bombing our hand and coming back was a clear message. This could be in your future if you continue to, you know, be a, trying not to use the wrong word. I'll just say prick. Rhymes with prick. And but, yeah, I mean, we did we did allow Russia to come in the first time when Obama was president and start their whole march forward in Ukraine. We let them have the parts of Ukraine. We didn't push back. We told the plane that we'd have their back if they gave up their nuclear weapons, they give up the nuclear weapons. And then when Russia invaded, we sat back and, you know, let them. And that's what started the whole thing to begin with. So there is that. And then we rewarded them with the uranium that the facts may have been off, but it still happened. And, you know, we'll see what happens from here. But we ended the shot. They noticed a couple of things on there that were not supposed to be there. It's the guys that ended up finishing it up the second time, so they brought it into the shop. They're going to have to redo that information. And redo the seal and everything, get that all fixed up, and then they're going to have to do the motor blower for the front. So we have AC. But so I'm imagining we're going to be here for at least today. Well, today was our day off. So we need to be here. But we'll see how long it takes us. If it goes into tomorrow or not. My students are going to the shower and just doing a quick load of clothes before we head back up to Kran and we get started on it next week. Things keep going wrong with it. You're going to have to replace everything. Pretty soon you'll have a brand new rebuilt truck. There's an old story about, it was a lot of Chevy. I think the auto industry calculated how much it would cost to rebuild a, I think it was a $15,000 car entirely from parts if you bought all the parts individually. It was $60,000. To try and build that car yourself with parts, it would be at least $60,000. And not including labor. That was pretty wild. But you know, just keep changing things out, man. Keep fixing up. Okay, next up we're going to go to Bill. N9-0FU. Good morning Bill, how's everything going with you? Did you have the opportunity to watch the Apple event yesterday? I'm assuming you did. That black color I think looks really cool for an Ultra. The ability to listen to music out of your speaker on your watch, why is it that only certain watches can do that? I mean the speaker on the Ultra, even on the one I have, is excellent. Why can't I play music out of the one that I've got? I don't understand. I mean the app is there, the speaker is there. We got back up to Corinne yesterday and finished our delivery. And we told them, we had already told them that we weren't going to be ready until today because we only had about an hour and a half left, two hours left on our clock. So we waited. So we went and had dinner over by Walmart and then came back over here to the truck stop. Actually, it was a nice night, 61 degrees right now. So it was a nice night before sleeping. And now I'm over at the hotel drinking my coffee, eating my instant oats and charging my computers. Oh, my computer and my iPad. So we'll see what happens today. My clock is out of hours, but my student has hours. So not sure what it if we might end up taking today off or just partial day off. I did do my laundry while I was pick my student up the other day.
