That happens to be all the time I'm in a room, and I'm looking around like, why did I come into this room? Anyway, well, that's, you know, you're among friends here. Certainly I'm used to that. OK, well, gosh, weak or strong. Now, how do you say what, I mean, you're looking at what, a country of 300 million people or something? I guess we're the wealthiest, strongest nation in the world at this point, based on those measurements of money and power. But what is that questioning? All I can say is, what do you say? I would just say this, that right now, you know, when I was born and I was a young fella, getting my DX20 AM radio set going, I was, and we were going to outer space, I was really feeling optimistic about the potential of my life. And I'm feeling that again, the golden age, so to speak, that Trump's talking about. I feel that. So I think that feels good. But I don't know if anyone's feeling that. I've heard some people say maybe not. But anyway, so I think the potential to be strong is right here for everybody. But of course, it's always there for everybody. It's a personal decision. And so I don't know. I would say if you are on this Earth and you realize that you were put here for a purpose and you find that purpose, you're strong. How's that? Back to net. Brian, good morning to you, Brian. Thanks for listening there in the background. A lot of people listen in the background. And it's always a pleasure to know you're out there. Glad that we're able to fill in some empty space for you. And happy when you get the opportunity to check in, even if it's not today. We so appreciate you out there. All right, so with that, we will go back to the top of the list. We got Kevin, VA3KKY. You'll have to let me know if I'm being a little bit quiet, because I've got my microphone right next to my mouth. I'm trying to be quiet so I don't wake up my wife or me. But it sounds like I'm doing OK with that. And having the microphone headset that I have sounds like or is a great opportunity to be quiet but still be heard. So Kevin, VA3KKY. You still with us out there? Go ahead. And I know you're dealing with your dad now. Are you guys moving towards putting him in an assisted living place and you getting your own place? Are you guys sticking it out at the house you were living in? Honestly, I think everyone's sitting on their hands for that. I don't think anyone's rushing for that. And I'm glad I'm not rushing either. Honestly, I hope I kick off first before I have to deal with most of it, which probably won't happen. The more I say that, the more I'm convinced I'll be like hundreds of years old. I'll watch everyone else go. That's the whole point of getting old is you watch your friends die. And it's like too late to make new friends. It's how it really goes. It really is. My dad, one of the indications is he's lost a lot of his checker buddies. He's lost a lot of his dice buddies. He used to always call, see if there's any extra legs around tonight for dice. Because we need three or four legs for dice. So that's pretty much gone. That's pretty much shot out of the water. So you lose everybody you know. As far as now earlier, I thought I heard you ask if you know something about talking to your parents about stuff. I don't know if you went right now to them about the birds and bees and nature and stuff. I never talked to them about any such thing. Never at all. In fact, I just kept all my personal stuff out of my mom's way. She was a gossip ho. So there's no way. And even when dad was in good condition, I don't know. He was too much of a joker for me to really want to bring any serious things to the table with him. I mean, he could be serious when our mom made him. So that was kind of a deal there. He didn't exactly have tough structure or tough holes in the first place. So that was at least good. But yeah, nowadays, I have no idea. I mean, we're getting closer and closer to pretty much launching off reality. But I don't really know. I guess if I was to keep up with him and have bridge friends or dice friends or whatever, I'd probably have to start making them. Because see, I have such a cut-off point from people at any school I went to that I just broke away from them. So I wouldn't know if they're dead or alive. Like a lot of people say that they join various different social media things like Facebook and that, and they find their school friends. I'm often not really recognized a lot of them. They were static when I got away from the Ontario School of the Blind. I hated them all. I maybe not have hated every student. Let's not totally exaggerate. I think I hated staff. And I based it on user base. It was easy for me to say, screw all of this. So if there's a chance, I might have forgotten. Just like now, there's been various neighborhood schools I went to. And I definitely lost track of a lot of them. I'd almost have to start making new those kind of events. And it just doesn't really work the same way when you're older, right? It's kind of like my dad's in that position where he's almost 100. He ain't hanging around 26-year-olds. You know what I mean? It just doesn't happen. And so I'm almost 50. I ain't hanging around 20-year-olds. You think about it, right? When we was kids, we'd wait until those mugs left the room, right? Like, serious business didn't start until they left the room. It's like, get your ass out of here, old man. We want to get high and be stupid. You're in the way. You're a little bit too mature for those things, right? I almost think of LL when he'd say, my old Jew teacher's not supposed to rap. He said that to Dis Iced Tea. But anyway, it's like he was on this whole F elders kind of thing. But that's how kids are, right? So it's like I'm getting with no 26-year-olds. I don't even know any place to go where that even happens. So you can't make new friends unless you're on the ham radio. And then you can lie because they can't see you. I don't know. All right. OK, I'll let someone else talk. I don't know what to talk about, but I always talk about a lot. I don't say much, but I talk a lot. So OK, back to you, Bill. This is the 8th week, KKY in Toronto. This is repeater station kilo 7, November, Quebec, November. All sorry, no news. Kevin, the question that I had asked earlier was if you had to have that talk with your parents about moving out of their house. And if you had to move out of their house, you could have gone into some kind of an assisted living or something where they would have people being able to take care of them. But that's all right because it's just a question in case anybody wanted something to think about or talk about. And if you've got something else more interesting to talk about, then that's what we want to hear because the thing that people are most interested in. And if you're passionate about something, then it's never boring. So with that, we have a late-minute edition. We have Steve, N0BF, who's in Buffalo, New York. I thought he had gone out to Buffalo and he had gone back to Colorado because I knew he was in Ohio the other day. But apparently he's back in Buffalo. So he's still on, well, he's always on vacation. But he is not at home in Colorado. So Steve, N0BF, how are you doing and how is the trip? This is N0BF on the cell phone, iPhone 16, in Buffalo, New York. OK, well, it's a little confusing. And every time I explain the trip, it gets more confusing. Anyway, long story short, we came out each on the train and today we're going to head back on the train to Colorado. So that's the long and short of it. We've been zipping around in a car between here and Cleveland, Ohio. And there's another station between us and that's Pennsylvania, Erie, Pennsylvania. Had lunch there yesterday. So anyway, we ended up close with the Nye Air Falls, which is in the Canada area. We are all around. So anyway, we've been having fun out here and we bought a house. And so I'm going to be, my wife's not going to be moving to the Cleveland, Ohio area. You've probably been out here in a truck, I bet you. I don't know if you come out this far east or not. Anyway, I'm not sure that's, anyway, who knows? I feel, I know you get around a lot. Anyway, the questions about your parents, all that, I, that's a big one. I'll answer that later. But for now, I just wanted to say hi and bye. My wife, we're getting out for a walk and we'll come back. And then if you're still here, I'll check back in. But anyway, so that's the story. The train goes from here to Chicago tomorrow. And then tomorrow, the following day, we get to Colorado and Grand Central Station. So then I'll be heading to the town of Loveland where I live. All the facts about this, guys, anywhere in the world you can check in. This is N0PS. And I appreciate it very much, Bill. And I will listen for a bit until you go on a walk. It's N0PS. All right. Thank you, Steven. Yeah, I've been in that area a lot. My wife is from Binghamton, New York, which is at the junction of law 86 and 81. So that's where she grew up. And we lived back there. I started driving a truck when I was living back there. So a lot of time spent in that area. My terminal for the trucking company I worked for was in, well, it's in Syracuse now. Used to be in another town that is escaping my memory. But yep, know the area. So you enjoy your walk. And if you come back, just let me know. I'm trying to keep an eye on the chat box as well. And we'll get you back in there, Steve. But for now, I'll take you off the list. And we're going to go to George, KV0MAI. Hopefully he's still there. It's been a while since we've been around. But George, if you're still there, it's over to you. Oh, yeah. My turn. OK, gotcha. Gotcha. Oh, I have your KV0PSF sitting out on the back porch with me. And we were looking at what's going on out here. I got a bird feeder and a bird bath out here. And it's starting to get active again finally. We went on vacation for two weeks. Asked the kids to fill up the bird bath every other day and give them bird seed. They didn't. And that chased all the birds away. And then when I got back, I got back into the routine of everything. And it took about three weeks, I guess, before we started seeing birds again. Today, we've got lots of squirrels down there trying to eat the seed off the grass that the birds stung down. And we had four or five birds there and a couple of squirrels. They cut it ice. I like watching them when I'm out here. I'd like to do one more thing. I'd like to get out one of them hummingbird feeders and put it on the porch. And so I'd have to take care of the hummingbirds too. But it's just nice to have. My goal is eventually get enough birds that want to come around that I can do a little bit of bird photography. But we'll have to wait and see. And there goes my dog. Reset. We've got a quick, funny story for you. Now, as you guys know, I have a chihuahua. And my daughter has a chihuahua. And they wind up living here more than anything else. So we usually have two chihuahuas. My son went on a trip. And he brought over his American Eskimo to my daughter. And somehow, it got him over to our house. Somehow, we have an American Eskimo. But this dog is extremely strange. It trusts everybody and anybody except me. And it will not go near me. It'll come up and let me, you know, I can hand him a treat or something like that. But cannot let her, she won't let me pet her or anything else. So last night, my wife decided to go with my grandson and daughter to a swimming pool. And I was left alone with this dog. Now, my goodness, this dog is like a dog. Now, my goodness, this dog is like two years old. And not once does he trust me. But when they left, about 20 minutes later, I got out of my chair to go get something. And she walked up to me. And I bent over. And I was expecting her to run like usual. And instead, she allowed me to pet her. A couple of times, she did that while they were gone. And she looked at me like, you're the only one left. So I guess I have to trust you. But she had that eye of, oh, I'm just waiting for you to do something bad to me, which I've never done a damn thing bad to her at all. I mean, there's nothing to give her treats and try to play ball with her, this, that, and the other. But so I don't know what her problem is. But I had a breakthrough last night until my wife got home. And now she won't trust me again at all. She shies away from me completely. Anyways, back to neck control, KB0MAI.
I got them all right. And I don't have enough questions to go. Well, maybe I do now that the numbers have gone down. We'll do another one. And this is going to go to Daryl, who is texting me the answers. You guys are killing him. This is great. So Daryl, which actor known for playing Superman announced this week that he was becoming an Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officer? Was it Dean Cain? Was it Henry Cavill? Was it David Cornswet, Brandon Ruth, or Tom Welling? Over to you, Daryl. Oh, man, I'm going to say Dean Cain. I don't really know the answer to this one, though, to be honest with you. Well, you got the right answer there. At least two of you got it. It was Dean Cain. Dean Cain. He was on the TV version of Superman and Lois or something like that. That's what I think. And he didn't recognize me at all. All right, George, TV0MAI. Which professional sports league struck a deal to own a 10% stake in ESPN? Was it MLB, the NBA, NASCAR, the NFL, or the NHL? Over to you. Sorry? He set a stake in ESPN? Is that what you said? Yes. Man, I'll tell you what. I do not do sports. I do not do basketball, baseball, very little hockey. The NASCAR sounds pretty good, though. I don't watch it. But if I was going to root for anybody, I'd root for NASCAR. Yes, sir. NASCAR. Boom. NASCAR. We can get it. Too bad. It's the NFL. In a billion dollar deal, ESPN is going to give you NFL network and distribution rights to Red Zone. In exchange, the NFL will get a 10% stake in ESPN. All right. I don't do sports either, so I completely understand that. I just guessed. I said, well, which one of these has the most money and the most power? And then so I picked the NFL. All right. Next one up, Josh. Josh, what's your name? Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Sean Duffy, the acting NASA administrator, announced he was prioritizing an effort to build what on the moon? Was it a nuclear reactor? A nuclear missile silo? A self-improving AI supercomputer? Solar panels covering half its surface? A giant LED billboard visible from Earth? Over to you, Josh. TJ5IRQ. This is KC2PQ. TJ5IRQ. We're turning home at this brief. It's a nuclear reactor. TJ5IRQ, back to the next drill. You are correct, sir. It is a nuclear reactor. OK. It's a nuclear reactor. Experts say that the IGAs isn't science fiction and that a reactor on the moon could provide continuous energy through the cold two-week-long lunar nights. Enabling human habitation. That actually came up. I think I brought that up on the net the other day. All right. What do we got here? Oh, Ron. Aa4ho, this is your question right here. And it is, Trump said this week that he would double tariffs on India to 50% as a punishment for its continued purchase of oil from which country? Would that be China, Iran, Russia, or India? Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela. Oh, I didn't, sorry. All right, Ray. I think it was Iran. And, you know, again, a lot of the questions I knew the answer, I was more sure about the answer. I'm going to go with Iran. They, well, I remember them being upset about that. A lot of stuff I say, I don't pay as much regard to it as other things do. But I, I don't know. I might not be right on this, but I think it's Iran. Back to you. All right. You are not correct. It's Russia. He doesn't want the Indians buying cheap Russian oil. Compass should an executive order that will soon impose a 25% penalty tariff on goods from India. If the country continues to buy Russian oil, in addition to the 25% tariff the US already imposed Indian officials have signaled that they do not intend to stop purchasing Russian oil. All right, who's next here? Oh, and, well, we can try Steve again. Steve, are you out there? N0BF. Gellow, V01UKZ, this is KC2PKG. Do you think somebody could have backed into it or hit it with a car? Or just different kind of damage? Over to you, V01UKZ, this is KC2PKG. Yeah, no, I don't think it could have been hit by a car, Grey. It's parked in the driveway dead on. But it's like right up against my neighbor's driveway, in my driveway. But again, it's like lease shares, like a parking lot-sized driveway. And it was parked in the driveway head on, so I don't think so. But someone, I just got off the phone with a repair place here in town. And he said, parts and labor, I'm looking at $500 or $600. And that's, it would be less if I don't need a new head. But that's, he said, probably around the maximum. And that's including labor. They charge us $65 an hour. And he said, I'm looking at probably $100, $150 for a header pipe. The exhaust, he said, is fine. It's not the whole exhaust that would need to be replaced. He said, and luckily, if the head needs to be replaced, I don't need a piston or rings or anything like that. He said, all of that is inside the cylinder. He said, the head is a different part from the cylinder. He said, that's where the exhaust bolts are. I just got off the phone just now and to read the motor sports. And he was saying they could do it. And, but yeah, I'm just frustrated, man. My mind is everywhere here this morning. But it looks like someone intentionally done it, man. Kicked it or hit it with something. Because, excuse me, because it's just the way it's snacked. It's like one of the bolts are completely snapped and the exhaust is hanging by one bolt. And he said, I need to get the exhaust gasket kit and the head gasket kit. And he said, all that is included in the quote that he gave me. So, I don't know, man. I'm just looking at like what I got here that I could literally get rid of that I don't need to cover the cost of this. He said he could have it done for me in a week if I could, if I could get everything together. Like, I mean, I got HTs here. I got that new set of headphones I just bought. Affordable, affordable screen. I don't know, man. My mind is just reeling. I can't imagine going the whole summer and being barred up in this friggin' house like I've been for the first part of the summer. When the weather's been crappy, so. I'm nice and I want to get out and can't. So, I don't know, man. I don't know. It's a piss off is what it is, to be honest with you. But, I'll get through it. I'll get through it. And this is an actual place that does mods and dirt bikes and motorcycles and stuff like that. So, he knew exactly what he was talking about when I described it to him. He said it's a good thing that the exhaust is still good, he said, because that would have, you know, been a more expensive piece. Pretty actual muffler and stuff, but all that is still good. I mean, there's nothing wrong with any of that. It's just where the tailpipe connects directly onto the motor. It's like one of the studs are snapped off. Because it's snapped off, you're going to need to drill it out. And if it can't be drilled out, he said it might be able to be drilled out. He said it might not cost me. It's about, you know, for $400. But, he said if the head has to be replaced, then they've got to replace gaskets and all that kind of stuff. He said, and that adds, you know, a couple hours to the maintenance time. He said, once they get at it, he said they don't slack off. He said they'll get it done and, you know, give me a fair rate. But, ugh, just disgusting. I can't imagine that it was done, one of my cats once in. Had to be done by a spite, someone that was really spitey and really angry. So, I don't know. But anyway, we'll get through it, man. Other than that, man, I hope you're having a good day. Hope everybody down there, out here is having a good day. It wasn't Saturday. It was yesterday. Dinner time. I can't even recall, man, Saturday to Sunday here on that off. Like you say, I was so pissed yesterday. I just slept most of the day. And, umm, I'm not 100% with it here this morning, but at least now I know it's what I've got to work towards after calling the repair place. V01 UKZ, keep me on the list, man. I'll be here. I'm happy I'm here this morning. Looking forward to the questions, especially the one about what's not allowed. I'm due drop in. I like that one. V01 UKZ. V01 UKZ, this is KC2 PKG. And, umm, yeah, that, umm, I've been sort of nagging. I'll tell the story when we get to that question. But, umm, for now we're going to pass it over to KB0MAI. Way to go, George. This is KC2 PKG. Yeah, thank you, Greg. I'd say damn now. $65 an hour. That is a great rate for a mechanical race for a mechanic these days. That's dirt cheap. Umm, when I used to take my motorcycle and budget something that I couldn't feel comfortable doing, it was $135. Those parts are so... And that's about the norm. I'm not here down in the States, at least in the Central United States. I'm sure it's even higher on these roads. The West Coast is something like that. The agency's not in the back. They're not moving on to this JDI bike. If I can get another bike, I need some major work done, I'll be shipping up the area to have more to hunt in. So, umm, what do... Oh, umm, can you reset the button? So, I don't want to go back to the chat, GBT. Umm, so, I have discovered that I can alter my work by quite a bit. I mean, yesterday I took a Black and White Street photo. The gentleman sitting on the bench in the wall, waiting for his wife to come out of the store. Terribly important. It turned out to be a really good picture. And I started thinking, one day, you know, I can use black and white, and I can do that. I just took all the color out of it. So, I can't get the color back, and I thought, I wonder if I can turn this into an oil painting. Chat, GBT. And, umm, loading the up thing, as long as it's not long gone, and, you know, it would go quick too. It would go, umm, three or four minutes, right? I know you're on a priority basis, when I mess with the report, and before I pay for the office service. I might wait five, ten, fifteen, even thirty minutes to have to come back and give me the results sometimes. It was a little like three, four minutes, on each one I did. But, I asked it, and turned it into a oil painting. Now, I thought, how is he going to do that? Because, I stripped all the color out of his smile. It's already in braids, so, what is he going to do? And he came back and gave me the colored representation of the oil painting. I was amazed by the colors of his painting. It looked like an oil painting, and had all the aspects of an oil painting. And, umm, just like, wow, this is awesome. I don't know how I did it, you know, but it did it. And so, I did watercolor, and I went out and some drawings. You know, my work just changed the way it looks, you know. And, yeah, it's pretty awesome, I like that. But, what worries them? So, that all happened, right? I also went to do some research behind the progress of autonomous trucks. You know, how close are we getting to the point where there aren't any truck drivers anymore? I was amazed by, you know, how far they've gotten. You hear rumors near and there, and articles. It's basically, you know, in certain states, we're testing them down in Texas and California. Unmanned trucks now, which is pretty wild. And, talking by 2013, the West Coast, for all the right operations, transporting from state to state, the truck, umm, it didn't have its own trucks on the road. Now, the overall whole country, the number of people that have seen the satellites, they're talking probably, we can say in 20 years, and it's based on how far the technology comes. But, the main part of it is, is how well we as American people will accept this on our own, and then the regulations, you know, in Congress and there, like each state will do something like that. But, they say on our side, 20 years, no more drivers on the trucks. On, over to the local, they have, umm, they have a little bit different, the line goes on a little bit further, and that's mainly because of, you know, you have to get out, you have to get, umm, the cargo to the society, you know, and, you know, you can't help but miss that. I'm sure they'll do it. Oh, it's even more amazing, one more, reset. Yes, we're extremely behind China on, they are in stage four. They have it all set up for stage four right now. They're in stage three, umm, and they still have drivers in the trucks, and more of a supervisory position than anything else. But, stage four is completely autonomous, and they already got all the regulations in place, they got all the equipment in place, and they're looking at being completely autonomous in just five minutes. So, I've got all that, I've got all that, SHAD GPG just doing the research, you know what I mean? Man, China's gonna beat us again. Back to neck control, KV0MA on. KV0MAI, this is KC2PKG, yep, the regulations are settled. That's gonna be an interesting fight, and I'm sure that the insurance companies are gonna have a lot to say in that, because that's the first thing that pops into my mind, but I was in the insurance business for a long time. So that's gonna be interesting, but cool, I can't wait, I'm excited by that. Josh, KV5IRQ, I'm passing the ball to you, this is KC2PKG, pop quiz coming up, everyone. KC2PKG, this is KV5IRQ. My nephew's been to that with us last night, he's 16, he wanted to talk to me and Danielle about a few things, and so he's been around to us last night, I'd take him home this morning. He's reached our school on Wednesday, our school here starts on Wednesday. Little man, my little G son, he has back, he has meet the teacher tonight tonight, so we are very excited about that. Cautiously optimistic, but he does well, I mean it's pre-K, so I'm guessing he can't really do bad. So yeah, we are pretty excited about school starting this year. Yeah, so the KG3PKG thing, you can make the pattern being ahead of the curve, yeah that makes a lot of sense, you have less regulatory hurdles to jump, less insurance like they said, hawks telling you what you can and can't do. And then they got something we don't have, a dictatorship, this is what we're doing, and it gets done. We don't work like that here, so at least not completely at the moment. So yeah, they would be ahead I would think, although from what I understand, their AI isn't quite to the par of what we have. Although the North WAF, researching with the KG3PKG is awesome, if you're a paid member, or a paid, I don't know what you call it, a paid supporter of KG3PKG, you'll probably notice that there's a few other options that you can play with, like AI Agent. Think of AI Agent like a computer, you're willing to expertly tell it what you want it to do, and it will go up and do it, whether that is logging on web pages for you, doing deep research for you, or even running a bot for you. I have a bot on my Discord server, my personal Discord server, that runs on my BPS server that was built using chat GPT. It pulls out a lot of the weather information from that area, from multiple sources, but primarily from the National Weather Service. It will let me know if there's a fire problem around me, or if there's inclement weather. It doesn't just do the daily, here's the forecast, I mean, it waits until there's a large, or there's actual, themes happening before it comes back, and it tells me, hey, this is happening, be aware. So it's just one of those little things I wanted to try out playing with. This is all with GPT-4. I'm telling you, GPT-5 is a leap, a huge leap. They, in the video, the introduction video that opened the app, it's important to note that they compared the last three models to students and teachers, I guess is the best way to put it. I'm going to take a real quick one here. So back when I first started using chat GPT, they were on, gosh, what model were they on? I wonder if they, maybe, maybe the model reports, but I don't remember. But I got to use three a lot, and it was pretty cool. It drifted a lot, hallucinated a lot. You know, if I didn't know the answer, I learned that it would kind of make it up, and you really had to watch it like a hawk. But GPT-4, oh, it wasn't so bad. GPT-3 was like talking to a high school student, what the video kind of treated it to. I'm really smart and high schooler, you know. Maybe in the top 5% in the United States of high school students, but yet it's still a high school student level. GPT-4-0 means that level to a college student, maybe a graduate student, you know, a really difference. Well, the difference between 4-0 and chat GPT-0 is actually GPT-5, it's on chat GPT's platform. The GPT-5 is, now you're talking to a doctorate in everything. So there's deep research, that's another tool you can use. Remember, on AI agents and deep research and a few of the other tools, even though you pay for it, you're still limited. You get hex amounts in a month, and when you run out, they either drop you to a lower tier, or you just can't do it for the rest of that month. I did that with deep research last month. I was doing a lot of research though, so I knew I'd probably be at my limit. Fortunately on deep research, it does change it to a smaller, a mini research. So you submit a lot of really good researchable stuff. I just thought I'd give you little things, but I've learned so many things on our computer. You're talking about all work and everything? That's awesome. I mean, I like playing with it over the weekend because it helps with prompting. And I'll be honest, the entire region, I am playing with these little characters, or a little art, or whatever I'm doing on there. You know, it ended up becoming very profane as to whether I could make a computer and draw things back in. No, it's to learn how to prompt, and how to prompt well. What I was prompting is how AI works. It's just how it works. Yes, you can get on there and say, hey, tell me the weather. Hey, you know, it's a constant restaurant that serves Chinese. Any of them tell you. It's been a little more gutso than Google. But if you use it like Google, you're missing out on a lot. So anyhow, that's probably more than enough. I was driving home and I had a few moments to talk. I'm gonna send it back to you, Greg. KC2BKG. This is KG5. Alright, go ahead. KC5IRQ. This is KC2BKG. Well, that's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. And you'll keep telling us, while you kick the tires, chat GPT5. Neat. Neat. Ron, any use for AI in your investing or anything like that, this is KC2BKG. Over to AA4HO. Yeah, I asked it about pattern trading before. It's got a lot of good information. I'm not sure about something, you know, how it's – I don't make a trading violation. I ask the questions. It's really useful for stuff like that or setting up in a brokerage account different things. You can ask it, you know, what differences are, like, you know, between a bank and a brokerage. You could ask – it's got all kinds of things. Tax simplifications. It's not going to tell you, you know, how to – it could give you aid. But, John, resources on how to trade, if you wanted to find out for, maybe recommend books or courses. Let's see, some of the other things I might have used it for in that respect. I think you got the idea, though. I got this message on X. So many people are crypto crazy. I mean, it's unbelievable. If they get any indication, you know, you like crypto, it's like, you know, they're all over you. You know, like this last person, you know, that just mentioned, that messaged me. You know, I try to tell them, you know, well, if I trade any crypto assets like ETFs, Ethereum, or – along with other stocks, you know, I don't only just do that. And I kind of try to tell them, you know, that it's probably better, you know, you don't focus just on one thing. I mean, people are crazy about it because so many people make money, but people lost money in that, too. Some people got crushed. And I don't have, you know, the resources to tell them all that. But it's – some people had to give back a lot of what they mean on it, you know. But it's better, you know, to do more than just one thing. AA4HO, this is KC2-PTG. It's running its way into our lives. It's so interesting. I am not a big AI user at all. I really don't have anything to do with it. So I'm a little slow in the uptake here, but I'm looking forward to it. N0BF on the train on its way to Chicago. I'm passing the ball to you. This is KC2-PTG. Okay, open holes. This is N0BF. Thanks, Gray, and I'm enjoying it. Look out the window, watch the – just watch the world go by heading to Chicago. And just a glorious day. We saw the sun rise over Sandusky Bay this morning. Man, that was flat beautiful. At breakfast, and now breakfast number two or lunch number one. Something's going to happen at Chicago. Anyway, that's what's going on here. And AI is interesting about that. Let me know if AI6 can forecast the future. This is N0BF. Thank you. N0BF. Yeah, you came in clear as well that time. That's good. That's real good. Yeah, forecasting the future. I'm sure somebody's already working on that. They just need a methodology. I can ask the supercomputer anything. All right, let's see. We're down to the bottom of the list. We'll get some check-ins, and then we're going to pop quiz land. So if you'd like to get in on the cow bung and net, be Monday, August 11th edition. Come down with your call sign. This is KC2-PTG.
inappropriate. You know, doing a net or something in there that they wouldn't say on the net, but they used the text box instead of this. And that should even be, you know, a I know this, you know, what they say is out of my control. So, you know, what you do about it, I mean, the net didn't even start yet. So you're going to complain to the camera. It's not pre-behavior. It's actually a bad behavior. It behaves that way. And if the person had a pattern of that, you know, it needs to be brought to their attention. So I don't think it's going to be any good. But, you know, it's just a matter of whether I still want to be here or not. And I've chose, you know, not to let anything like that cause me to not be here. That's the best thing I can do. And I'm lucky that as I've been competing, I like to have this view in the morning, which we expect to see. And it helps pass the time, during these times. And the benefit of it, I like to have a side effect, side effects of it, you know, things like that. I like to have a side effect, I like to have a side effect, I like to have a side effect, that I can talk about in defending positions. I won't attack anyone, I won't change the subject, I'll stay on the subject. So I wish more people would do that, but they don't. I haven't found that negative enough to warn anyone about that. 84-H, I'll run your muscle out of that screen. 84-H, oh, that sounds like a promise. That's good, that's good. This is KC2PKG, 73 is to you, man. Talking to you again tomorrow. What have been the Russians doing? Anybody who ever wants to help out with a list that we keep for Russell, let me know. Because I'm the one who's doing it all now. So if you want to help out with that, you just let me know. Okay, who's next on the list? Oh, we added him for QPC, Jeff, but he's way off the bottom of the list, so you just have to wait, sorry. N0BF, final thoughts, Steve. How's the train ride, what's going on with you? This is KC2PKG, over to N0BF. Okay, very good, this is N0BF, that would cross the central standard time zone, how about that? By the way, part 97 of the Federal Communications Act spells out prohibitions very clearly, so if anything, if people are complaining things that are not prohibited in that, and that's of course United States hands, people that get their license in the United States of America. Anyway, they're complaining about something that's not in there, I suppose that's a personal thing, and I'm not sure what to say about that. But anyway, interesting thoughts, and thanks for the question and all that. I looked at the deck and was able to talk to that train the whole way all the way through several states, and I'm heading toward Chicago, be there in about half an hour. 73 and back, N0BF. More quick comment, VL1, you're fizzy? I have your comment, VL1, you're fizzy. All right, thank you, Grady. Yeah guys, it doesn't matter if the net is on, or whatever, if you hear or see anything, in the text box or on the air, make note of the time, record it with your phone, take a screenshot, it doesn't matter what's going on or what program or net. I'm the system manager, and that goes for 24 hours around the clock, so whether it's before a net, after a jury, doesn't matter. If you see anything that really rubs you the wrong way, someone is being rude, ignorant, disrespectful to someone else, let me know. As a matter of fact, Gray, it might come down to a few of us just having a meeting and having a little chat on the off air, maybe on Discord or a group phone call or something like that, because I know a lot of people are taking issue with some incidents in particular lately, and like you say, my hands are gonna tied, break down, but if there's group consensus that we've got to do something, then we need to talk about it as a group. So I'm thinking maybe all of our net controllers, including myself and Bill, of course, get together sometime today, tomorrow, sometime in the near future, when everybody has the opportunity to discuss this stuff, just so we can have a clear consensus of what's going on, because I don't want to just make an arbitrary decision myself. Regarding this, I know what's being talked about, I know what people saw in the text box, I know what people have heard on the air, and I just don't know how to deal with them on my own. So if we could get a little meeting together and have a chat about this, it would probably work out much better. Deal with you, Casey. This is Recoater Station QJ-5, ILC with the call-in. All-Star Node 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. Go ahead with your comment. Thank you, Gray. I was just listening to the end of the network, and we do have a room already set up in Discord for that, so we could just all log on. Dale, if you wanted to give it the offline, I could set everything up. You tell me the time, and I think everybody's on there, maybe not, Kevin K. and one X. Of course, Russell. I just wanted to make sure that you knew that that was available. Thanks. KJ-5, ILC, back to you next room.
Thank you sir, G.J. Pyle, are you returning? Yeah, I'm on it, sir. I've got a lot of good talking of it all. The major peak points, or pain points you should say, in all of our communities I would say. I don't think homelessness just touches the big cities. In fact, I know more than a fact that it does. I live in a community of about 14,000 people. It's pretty small in relation to most of the health I would say. We have homeless people here. I mean, it's a small community. I mean, literally, just about everybody knows just about everybody. I mean, we still have homelessness. Well, why? That's where I think, you know, our government and cities stay in federal. I'm going to throw them all at the government. And it doesn't matter which political side. It's universal. What our government tends to do is just build money at an issue. And these are the same strategies for cities in 100 years. It doesn't matter if they work or not. Somebody in the 1940s said this is how you work on homelessness, and that's what they do in 2025. And it fascinates me to no risk that our political world has shifted so much just in the past 10 years. I mean, Democrats and Republicans don't communicate, period. And they're always at war with each other, and they're really not serving the people anymore, either side. So we ask, why do we have homelessness? Who's the root cause? It has to be for any of that leadership. It has to be. I mean, it's been a ongoing thing forever. Now, we can't blame leadership for the problem of homelessness, but we can blame them for allowing it to get to how it is. Homelessness is just a default human characteristic. Humans from earlier were technically nomads. So, I mean, why do you think humans like to cancel once? They don't make us unless we're wired into our DNA. So people choose to be homeless, and some people don't choose to be homeless. The ones that choose to be homeless, you can't cure that. You can't, I can't, and the dang government sure can't. So what do you do? Not around my mind, but say, all right, look, we're messing up a homeless reserve. This is your area, this is your little block on my end. There you go. I'm going to take it real quick. And then you say, there you go. So, say how you'd like to live. But then somebody's going to say, well, you're restricting their rights. You're restricting their freedoms. Now you're making a live there. Okay, both sides have to give a little bit. There has to be some compromise. Did y'all know, and I wanted to post some real quick, real quick numbers here, and I did this earlier, before I started getting deep into my job, uh, dealing with the money that gets spent on homeless people. It blows my mind. So the core of mental homeless spending, on a federal level, the core part of the federal spending is approximately $4 billion with the B, a year. That's just the federal government planning and expansion as of fiscal year, so for the last year's data, because for that product this year, it was an additional $10.3 billion with the B dollars. Uh, they did. It went down to a COVID thing, which is another $10 billion. We will factor that into the yearly operating. State and local housing and community budgets operate as much as $65 billion on the problem of homelessness. $65 billion. I believe two-thirds of that comes from the federal government. Uh, these are numbers that I just pulled up quickly. Uh, local examples, Los Angeles spent $619 million, around $17,000 per homeless person. $17,000 per person. Denver spent $481 million. In between, for Denver's area, between $42,000 and $104,000 per person. I wish I made $104,000 a year. I mean, that's pretty bad for a homeless person to try to provide for them. Uh, and in California, just one county alone spent $83 million. Those are some astronomical numbers that are throwing at a situation that's not improving, that's getting worse. So, in my humble opinion, throw up the name playbook and let's start all over. Let's start with mental health, first and foremost, and providing basic needs. Yeah, they're homeless. You're not gonna get rid of homeless. Dang, spending as much money as this means. Spending on that and not getting any better? Something gotta change. Okay. Yeah, I kept this on a bit long, uh, because I think this is only my second or third time to talk to them. So, I wanted to make sure I got that all out there. I appreciate the time, and I'll be sending these to you all. Uh, keep in mind, how much money is being spent on the homeless? I'm not saying they're not deserving. That's not it at all. We're spending all that money, and it's getting worse. K.J. Fab, I offer you back the mechanism. I mean, how much would it cost to build several, uh, large buildings, and, you know, just single room buildings? You know, without one room, a little kitchenette to the side, you know, enough space for a bed, you know, a tiny little bathroom, you know, framed off in the corner. I mean, how much would it cost to build some units like that with several hundred apartments, or little square cube apartments, or tiny homes, or whatever inside of a building like that? You know, just to give these people a sense, especially the ones that don't want to get off the streets, you know, if they had a sense of home, a sense of a place where they could go, and, you know, at least live, or at least be out of the weather, or something like that, I mean, what would it actually cost, I wonder, to build? Buildings like that. You know, I'm guessing not billions and billions of dollars. You know, what, probably a couple of million per building? I'm not sure. See, I've never really looked into it. We've got a bit of a homeless problem here, too. And it's all since this mass immigration. I've got to say, that's what I blame it on, because Newfoundland never had a large damage problem. It never did. Since COVID, and the mass immigration that our previous commander in sleaze had, you know, Justin Trudeau, the mass immigration policies, now they've slowed that down here in Canada. They've changed around the immigration policies. It's not just an open door thing anymore. The thing is, all those people we've got here now that we didn't have homes for, to start with, our government really screwed over the local people, is who they screwed over, and I mean they taught. Because all these immigrants, when they came here, they were given something like 20,000 bucks, you know, to get their life started. And then they're given $2,000 a month for a couple of years or so many years or whatever to get situated. Man, I don't call in a couple thousand bucks a month, barely even close to that. It's more like $1,500 a month, if I'm lucky. And so yeah, I mean I survive on that. You know, granted I get good rent, you know, or decent rent compared to the going rate. I get about half of market value right now, which is crazy. You know, good for me to be able to get that kind of rent, because if I didn't, my God, it would be impossible to survive with the way things have gotten in the city here in the last four years or five years. So the thing is, the government is taking care of all these immigrants because they don't want to look bad internationally. But what's not out there in the international news is the fact that I know that the government is taking care of all these immigrants. 59% of our homeless are all locals, and none of these immigrants are homeless. That really blows my mind. It absolutely does. There's low-income housing here in the city that's all being given away to immigrants when locals in some cases have been on the waiting list for those services for multiple years. And I don't think that's fit. We grew up in low-income housing when I was a kid, just around the corner from here as a matter of fact. And the place I grew up in before my parents bought this house, there's something like 12 Indians or Arabic people living in that one house. And that's a four-bedroom house with 12 people, 12 adults, not even counting the kids living in there. And it's just anarchy on that one street now because it's just a tiny little cul-de-sac. And you've got more people on that street, more kids just rolling down the road, sitting on the street. You've got to be having your head on a swivel when you go up that street because they've got so many kids that are just not looked after, that are running around the street. And one kid with just a diaper on, no shoes, no t-shirt, no nothing, just going with a diaper in the streets. And I'm thinking to myself, what are these parents, what the heck are they doing? Thanks for joining us, Josh. We'll catch you out here tomorrow, man. All the best. Back over to George, KV0MAI. George, for your final comments this morning. It's over to you. KV0MAI. Well, it's been interesting. You all have a wonderful night, KV0MAI. All right, George, and thank you for joining us this morning, man. Always great to have you with us. And we're going to go to Miss D-9KM4LBF. It's over to you. No need to rush your final comments, certainly. We've got lots of time. We owe it to you, KZ. This is KV0MAI, welcome back down. One thing I don't like is giving myself a shot. I usually don't like having someone else give me a shot either. For some reason, I think it hurts more when someone gives me that shot than me giving myself a shot. And with that, I've had quite a few operations. And if I can see the stitches, in seven days I will remove them. I will not allow another person to do it because I feel it hurts more when someone else is digging through my flush and plucking out the stitches than when I go in and I do it. So, this is my last communication. It was for real. I hope everyone has a blessed day. And this is KN4LBF. This is my 73. It's over and out. Back to you, Darryl. Thank you, D. And a pleasure to have you with us this morning as well. And yeah, I'm the opposite. Now, it's probably because of my vision that I'm the opposite because I'm 97% blind. I have 3% sight in one eye and 0 in the other. So, I've only got 3% in one eye that I'm working with. So, even when it comes to a shot for insulin, I can't give that to myself because I can't see the tip of the needle. When I'm down, you know, from my eyes to my belly, that's close enough, or far enough away, sorry, that I'm able to see the tip of the needle in my skin and how far I'm putting it in and stuff like that. So, it's better in my case that someone else does it. Now, I have had to take it with a pen. A couple of times when the pharmacy is closed, I go there and they do it for me every day unless they're closed. And in case they give me a pen. And the pen is not so bad. I could do it with a pen, but I still don't like to. I'd sooner someone that's professionally trained to be given needles is the one who won't be given it. So, that's just my view on that one. And stitches, oh yeah, I ain't cutting those out. I did have a girlfriend at one time that did that kind of thing. She was like, ah, you don't need to go to the hospital to get stitches out. She'd have snip, snip, snip with the scissors, with the little pointy scissors, and no trouble at all. But if it was me, now I'll go to the hospital and get those suckers taken out. A4HO, Ron, it's over to you, man. And no need to rush your comments or nothing. We've got time. V01, UKZ. Go ahead. Yeah, thanks, Argyro. Everybody have a nice day. I don't have much more to add to today. I'm already on, you know, my next thing here. You know, I don't follow everybody to the world wide sh- And I'm expecting a call today. So, I want to be ready for that. It was a relatively good night today, as usual. And I'll look forward to seeing, hearing everybody tomorrow on a Thursday. The hurricane, by the way, I hadn't checked on the radar yet where the progress was. But, yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing everybody tomorrow. That's a wake up call for us since that time. Some of the other people are coming in, but I'm not sure if they're coming in. I got it up there. That's a wake up call for us since that time. Some of the strongest hurricanes to hit Florida have hit around the end of August and into September. Because the hurricane season really isn't over until like November. It's a long, grueling time and it keeps us on the edge of our seat. The first one, though, I think it's going to be pretty intense. I hope it doesn't hit, you know, like New York or anything. But they don't forecast that far out. But the last position is way east of Red Crook or Shelby. You know, several days from now. So if it keeps on that track, we'll be all right. All right. Let me turn it back over to you, Gerald. A.A. 4-H.O. Ron Garima, Florida. Everybody have a nice day today. All right, Ron, you have an awesome day as well, man. And we look forward to hearing you out here tomorrow. You have a great day. And next up on The Mist, we're going to go to Steve. N0BF, if you're still between us or still with us in between maybe the third, fourth breakfast by now, I don't know. Kevin, was there anyone else in there? Because I did hear some more key ups, but you had no audio, so if you try again, just check your audio. Anyone else? This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7, November Quebec November, All Star Node 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. Well, that must be a mistake. Let's go to Ron. AA-4HO, good morning Ron. How's everything going with you this morning? Good morning, Jerry. Good morning to everybody participating in the color-bunging on the two truck. I have one thing that's really bad to report, but I'll get to that last. I wanted to mention, and it was already, the door opened for this. And I had brought it out on Twitter, and I had like I told you before, mentioned to everybody that my Twitter account has exploded. I'm getting a lot of people, and it's really encouraging, and I can't be disappointed with it. I'm very happy with it. And I heard Kevin's, when you wanted to mention Kevin, I'm holding four, I got three yesterday. Basically, I can't be unhappy about that, based on the market futures, where it looks like it's gonna be opening at. And it looks like it could have, even another alt-T that might have been a near-term top. Anyways, getting back to the incidents in DC, the homeless was a secondary thought. The primary purpose of that was to get the problem children off whose parents could never get them, we never cared to get them to behave. And they made 26 arrests last night. And that was actually why they did what they did, and it had really just a secondary thing to do with the homeless. That'll be the best thing that ever happened to them. You ought to see alligator Alcatraz. That facility is better than the police scout camp. That I stayed at. And the food is much, very good. They're getting set very well, and they're in a nice, clean, brand new facility. So I imagine if they're gonna jail the homeless, it'll be along the same line. Let me reset, I got that news I wanted to mention now. A lot of people don't understand leadership because they've never seen it before. People that seem to be opposed to everything, you know, it's like they revolve their whole life about resisting leadership, because they don't wanna be told what to do. And it's not a terrible thing when you realize that a lot of the decisions that a real strong leader makes can be in your best interest. But just for the mere fact that they have to be told what to do, I see a lot of rage. I don't see a lot of rage from where it's being accused, where it's coming from. I see good leadership. In fact, the best I've ever seen. And my friend, I might not be here. I think they may be calling in the middle of the night, like they sometimes do. They sent me a text, they're gonna call me today. And this is my bad news. I'm afraid that they've been telling her all along that her cancer's been curable and everything. I don't know. I was wondering when they may stop doing that. I don't know. When I get this call that I might be told that there's not anything more that they can do, because they will check she was headed that way. So I'll be here for the whole thing if I don't get that call. And that was the bad news that I had. And I'll put in the text box if it's in between the time that I'm talking, that I had to go and take the call. 84-H-O, Ron Muir, I'm a Florida back to you. Gerald, to you and net control. Good leadership there, Gerald. Oh Ron, you know I'm gonna have a different opinion than that. I wouldn't be me if I didn't. And this is an outsider looking in. I mean, I'm not American, right? And the way the rest of the world is looking at Trump, first off, he has like a 37% or a 35% rating in polls. I know you don't trust polls. You don't find them as an accurate means of representation of the current president. But I'm thinking to myself, you're definitely ingrained in that 35%. But enough about that right now. Who is it, Ron, that you're dealing with cancer right now? Is that your wife or someone really close to you? It's a friend, a longtime friend. They had to stay with me for a couple of weeks. I think. And I'd say that we're close in that respect. But we send each other tips and stuff, that kind of friend. I'm really sorry to hear that, Ron, man. Cancer sucks. My mom is a bitch for cancer right now. For sure, it's a melanoma, I think is what it is. It's a blood cancer. And it's starting to move into her bones and stuff. And her numbers were really high yesterday when she went and had her regular test done. And it's not looking good, unfortunately. But I guess it is what it is, right? People get cancer. And this type of cancer is prevalent in my family. My uncle died with it two years ago, my mom's brother. Same exact cancer. And that's the reason, probably, that my mom is still with us now. Because once her brother passed away, it was recommended that everybody in that generation of the family be checked for it. And I've got to get checked for it myself, and my sister as well, and my brother. And yeah, cancer is never good, man. One of those things, it makes me wonder if there's a cure that's being suppressed. Because when it comes to drug companies, the more people you cure, the less customers you have. The more people you continuously treat, the more customers you have. So that's a business, unfortunately. So cures for major diseases don't usually go over well. Because they make more money by treating the problem, not curing it. So, but back to what's going on in Washington. Let me reset. Unfortunate that this regime thinks that an appropriate way to deal with homeless people and young kids that are on the street and stuff like that is to lock them up. And as far as this alligator, Alcatraz, you and me are watching some different stuff, man. Because apparently that place, according to some people that have been there, is pretty much the same. The people that have been there.
All right, so I'm going to show you the D. I hope you have a good day. We'll catch you out on the AFCNEP. And oh, man, this breakfast is good. They brought me this bowl. Usually you get a little bowl of fruit, just a little cut with five or six pieces in there. But this one had like almost a half a banana chopped in there, five or six strawberries chopped in there, and then some grapes underneath. I mean, this bowl is big enough to be a bowl of soup. It's all fruit, so that's good. Yeah, I tend to have a temper sometimes when it comes to inanimate objects. Although, like who's it? I usually spend on those items, so I try not to get too abusive of them because I want to see if I can get them working. But I'd like Ron's thrown away with extreme prejudice. That was good. I've done that a couple times. But I also try not to just let myself anger-wise because I'm a good guy. I'm 6'1", 6'2", and 200 pounds plus. Excuse me, sorry. I burped. But so when I get angry, things break. I try to control that. But I've had a couple items that I've gotten upset with and took them apart piece by piece. And then once they're all in pieces and I gutted them, then I throw them away with extreme prejudice. But haven't done that in a while. I usually end up donating stuff. But my grandkids are pretty well taken care of. Sometimes I'll donate things to students. And sometimes I'll donate to Goodwill. But very depressing. A lot of stuff that I thought I believed in Goodwill that might have gone out and found at home. My friend who works there says some of that stuff just gets thrown away. So I'm like, maybe I should just have a yard sale and price it really cheap. And maybe somebody will come along and make good use of it. But if there's a time that I'm home, I'd have to try to make sure I was home on a weekend. I usually end up getting home during the week, because that's the best time for getting a student trained or getting a student tested and getting a next student. So thinking about it, because I've got a bunch of stuff that's in the storage that I need to get taken care of. So we'll see what happens. I'm going to have to search around and see if I can. I always get up real early in the morning. I might be able to find, well, I know I always find early morning CW on the air. So maybe I'll just have to wait until later to check into here. Because it will be two hours later in my mind when I'm out there. Anyway, that's the way life goes. And don't worry about taking phone calls. I get them all the time. Fridays are usually, knock on wood, quiet until about 9-9-30 for me. Technically, I start work between 8 and 9. So, you never know if I get a call or an email or a message or something, you never know. I hate somebody who has to take over. I got to go. So, I completely understand. So, now we're going to move to November 0BF. The mic is yours and we are asking just for all the new check-ins if you haven't heard. The first question today is, what's your plan for Labor Day? We know that the end of summer is coming up sooner rather than later. And what do you do to prepare for Labor Day? Do you do anything fun, cook out? As I said, me and my family don't do nothing. It's just a day. Yeah, we get a day off of work. That's pretty cool. We don't celebrate, don't do anything special. That's the kind of person I really don't want on the dew drop in. I think you can talk about anything. We can talk about sexuality, we can talk politics, we can talk how you like to bathe and take a poo-poo. I don't really care. It makes it interesting. But when we start chasing members away, then we got to start rethinking what we're doing with the nets. Anyhow, that's what my opinion is. Oh, one other thing. A quick reset. So there were several people that viewed, on the last question, viewed it as a secular thought. You called it a skeptical. You're skeptics. Secular and skeptics is two different words in two different meanings. Yes, I can be skeptical about, you know, my friends told me he's going to do it a thousand times and he never does it. So I'm very skeptical that he'll probably do it now. Secular isn't just a totally different way of thinking. It's not skeptical. It's a matter of fact in their minds. I just want to point that out. Back to jet control. KV0MAI. KV0MAI. This is KC2PKG. That's a good thought. I'm glad you mentioned that. You have to be a little more careful. All right. Next up, Josh. KJ5IRQ. Are there things that you should not say on the Kalabunga net? Or is it just open kimono all the time? This is uh, KK0MAI Josh. KJ5IRQ. This is KC2PKG. Well, KJ5IRQ returning. Thank you, KC2PKG. I uh, I think this is a twofold question. I mean, according to your question, are there things that we shouldn't do a say on Kalabunga net? Well, first off, I think we gotta see what we legally can and can't do on ham radio. So, and I think, you know, we all pass the test. We all should know this, but as a general reminder, you know, the things we can't do is stuff like business use, no advertising sales, communications benefiting a business or employer. Can't do that. Uh, here's a pretty big one that says no profanity or affinity. Now, I'm gonna tell you what most of us say on here is profanity, but I'm not the FCC. I figure if they get on the meet for saying it, that's probably when I'll change. Uh, if I, if I say it, I really try not to cuss on the air these days. Uh, no harassment or threats. That's kind of his closer personal. Here, that's done it. No big FCC right here. No harassment or threats. No bullying, intimidation, or violent threats. No music or protected recordings except incidental or public domain Morse code practice. Uh, no decryption or secret codes. No political campaigning. Since you can't talk about politics, it just says you can't campaign, uh, campaign. So if you decide to run for office, don't use the California to, uh, expand your base. Uh, no broadcasting. Ham radio is for two-way communication, not one-way shows to the public. That was kind of hesitant. You know, I, I, I think what we do on here is a type of broadcasting in my mind, but it's not, but I'll be allowing everybody else to talk and it's not one way. So, uh, I think as long as it's two-way communication, we don't have to worry about that. No false emergencies, no jamming, and no out of band transmissions. Those are like the big kids back in the day. And you who have done radio and TV and stuff are older than I probably know this a lot better than I, but I read a story once long, long time ago that the SEC used to enforce, I guess, seven words, 12 words, I think it was how much you heard, to be honest. I don't think that group of words you can't say on TV. Well, I think we've relaxed out a lot on TV. I mean, every other, every other show has, you know, a word in it that you're not supposed to do. So they're going to enforce it better. Should they enforce it on amateur radio? I don't think so. But I'm also not. Now, as far as the cariboungernet, I think, you know, since the cariboungernet is what it is, a network of radios and nodes that pass through a couple of gateways, I'm going to take a real quick break. The individuals are in control of those repeaters. What's possible for those across there. They're gonna get that. I mean, we all know that. That's where we get, or we should say, Bill and Bill. That's where they get to say, no, we can't have that. They don't like it. They don't get to join us because it feels like they're in trouble. So that's probably more than what you needed to know. But I think it's important every so often to go over do's and don'ts. If I get another chance today, I'll go over the do's. KJ5 IRQ back to KC2 PKG. KJ5 IRQ, I'm really glad I asked this question. Doing some really solid answers. It's great. This is KC2 PKG, and we're gonna pass that question over to AA4 HO. Ron, what are some things that you just shouldn't do on the go? This is KC2 PKG. Over to you, AA4 HO. Yeah, I have a couple of things, but I put up with a lot of stuff because basically, I've had to bring up the worst. And I'm not in charge of this now. And I want to remain, you know, a user in good standing. So I'll be careful with what I say and not make too much of an issue out of stuff that, you know, I don't particularly think that that should be said. You know, for instance, you know, when you're talking about a specific topic, and then somebody will attack that topic with the identity of someone, a leader of a country, you know, because then, you know, it's basically, you couldn't do that in debating because this is what blues automatics means. We're not debating or anything, we're just, you know, having fun and I'm passing the time in the morning. So, you know, it goes that way, it goes that way. It's not going to stop me from coming here. I've been on Reddit before, and I think you might have heard me mention this. I ended up, even though I had some really good stuff there to make issue with the way things are going, and they didn't automatically, I just get that on a trust. I get negative karma, is what they called it on Reddit. And I'm sure that that account, I don't go there anymore, is probably broke a record for the most negative feedback that's ever, I mean, it's like a negative number that, you know, it's a three digit song. So I'm probably banned from posting anything there anyway. So whatever, you know, happens, I'll probably go with it, whatever anybody decides and abide by, even if I don't completely agree with it. AA4HO, this is KC2PKG. Alright, so like that just rolls right off your back. So you weren't saying these are some things that we should not do. I thought the reading from the FCC, I guess that was part 97, talks about harassment and that is something that's an eye of the beholder. Alright, let's go down to N0BF. Steve, if you can still hear us as you roll down the road, are there certain things that we just should not say or do on the CalabungaNet? Which pretty freewheeling group? Oh yeah, subjects of all kinds, but are there some things that we need to stay away from or just not do? It's over to you, N0BF, this is KC2PKG. Alrighty, KC2PKG, N0BF, just leaving Elkhart, Elkhart is in Indiana? Ha, Elkhart, Indiana, that's where they make all the trailers. Anyway, so we're just leaving there toward Chicago. Update on the train. Things not to say, well, yeah, you said part 97 pretty much lays it out, so just to find there, that's where the beginning is and I'm sure that's all been interpreted by laws and whatnot. No music, no commercial business, those kind of things. You know, I still remember that flirting it when I was a kid, 13 years old, 65 years ago. Anyway, so I still try to stick to that and anyway, I also tried to, you know, looking at the negative side, part 97, but on the positive side, what I try to put my efforts in on at radio is to learn about every aspect that I can. Like I do a lot of remote control and I'm doing just, what if anybody out here has an M1KV little setup, it's a microphone with all the kind of digital radio built inside of it, D-Star being one, which I do and I think this might work. Anyway, so that's another question I've got, but anyway, I may do that, I travel so much. Anyway, so a lot of things to talk about, I also focus on the basis of ambient radio being for emergency communication, so I always try to learn whenever I can. To that end, back to that, ends your OPM. All right, all right, another champion for part 97, that's good, that's good. PM1X, it was during your net of all nets that I went through all those feelings. What do you think, what shouldn't you say? Captain, this is KC2PPG, how about you PM1X?"}]}
