And yeah, it's really fun. The graphics are nice. You get a whole bunch of different ballparks to pick from. And yeah, it's just a really fun game. See, I'll send you the name of that. I played it for like three hours last night. I think I might have played six games or something last night. I think it's 119 games or something I've got to play altogether for the whole series or the whole season. But you play them at your own pace. So, it's all good. Back over to you, man. I'll send you the name of that there now on Facebook. I just, uh, I'm not... Well, I'm pretty sure it's cool, but now I can't put it... I can't say it's that safe. It's gotten my heart drive going, I don't know. I hope my shooting out man is not on me. But when it's gone, look. It's like, boy, I need to get a couple more things. I can't do it. I can't do it. I call it the KC2PAD and then you get back to me. KV9-MSK, this is KC2PKT. Sennheiser. They're the people who first developed the super light headphones. And that's knowledge from probably 50 years ago. Or more. They have always been super high quality stuff. They really have. I remember seeing those really light headphones. Because you used to be the big cups that went over your ears. And you'd have coss or something like that. But the Sennheisers were open air. And they had great sound. They were just fantastic sound. And they just discovered something. They thought what they may think is a beautiful house. It's low kilo 7 November. I don't know how much you guys know about lithium. Lithium is used to do all sorts of stuff in the brain. Obsessive compulsive disorder is good for that. But apparently it pays a big part in memory. And keeping your brain free of amyloid plaques and all the other things that come with all sorts. And so they have already done preliminary experimentation with it. And in mice it improved their brain function tremendously. So you can look forward to some lithium in your future possibly. Which is good because Alzheimer's is really scary. Really scary. All of a sudden you don't know anybody who's around you. Which is so weird. Back to you Russell. K9NSK. This is KC2 BKG. I go on, I go there. See you again. The other thing sure, if anybody knows what your question was. But we've answered questions again too. And maybe someone might know what you're talking about. So that indeed. Maybe somebody might know the answer you want and what for. And then you get back to me Pete. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Yeah we didn't get any audio from Dee. Although she would keep down for quite a while. I do have a comment on her question. Go ahead man. You know, so I think the question was how do we all talk if the FCC says you can't talk. The FCC says you can't use UHF or VHF for anything but official functions and stuff like that. I've been watching a lot of the development of small networks. Everybody has a wifi router. And you can use those to move traffic around. And potentially move it all the way around the world. Just using bouncing from one wifi router to the next. So I would be very interested in trying to create a new sublayer of communication between all hands. Because I've had the same question for a long time. In other words if this goes out and for some reason we can't get on this then what can we do? Well, I think the answer is networks. Networks done in patches. So that's my comment. This is KC2BKG over to you. And sorry I wanted to hear what Dee had to say. This is KN4LDF. This is Dee's comment. Go ahead Dee. This is KN4LDF. This is Dee. And yeah I didn't realize my mic was off. I can see the thing moving now. And great that's exactly what I was talking about. I was looking into mesh. I was looking into all kinds of stuff. And they required some kind of internet or satellite. And part of my question is if the satellite was down and that other one was down. That other part. So that was one of the parts that I was talking about. But you basically have what I was thinking about. I looked into mesh. It's very expensive but it still needs some kind of internet stuff I believe. I'm not sure I believe. And the other thing was for darrow. Darrow you have that white headset. And I was looking at it and one time I bought something that was a color that I did not like. And someone suggested to me well make it your own. So what she suggested was for me to take like a 1 by 1 inch of whatever my favorite thing was. And my favorite thing was Pup Pups. Puppies. So I took a 1 inch thing of mine and put it on what I want. It did not hurt the thing. So if you like sports you would put a logo. Or if you like whatever it is you make whatever the item is of your own. By putting 1 inch stickers that you could eventually remove and just clear out the debris with alcohol or whatever. And it wouldn't hurt your headset. I don't think it would. But that was what I'm saying. If it's all white maybe you make it your own with your own sports logo. Or whatever the case may be. Anyway this is KN4LBS."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-08T07:07:57+00:00","id":15196,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15195,"text":" Okay, great. I liked talking about why I... It keeps bringing me back to this net. I've brought that out. I've talked about it lots of times before. I'm working on this device with a sticker motor in it. And I deployed key this morning. And it's the motor that came. It's one size too large. So now I'm going to have to order a third motor. And I'm trying to find the numbers. The problem to begin with is the motor I pulled out, the label was torn off the back. Or they didn't include the label on the back of the motor so I didn't know what number it was. So now I've ordered one too small and I've ordered one too large. So maybe third time will be a charge. They're not really that expensive. I'm not even going to return them. I may find what happened with the smaller one and the larger one is just clicking and heating up and it's not turning. Besides the connector plugging into the main gork was too big. So I cut the connector off the old one. The wire colors were the same and I plugged it in. Maybe the colors were different. I don't think so. I don't think that's the problem. But it still needs to be smaller so I'm trying to find out. I'm getting this 28BYJ-48 size and AEI is assisting me with finding the number for the one that's smaller. I got a read over this. It just came up. I don't think anybody realized last time I was on here about that broadcast, the five button. If I post that on my ex-account, I don't know how everybody would feel about 50 people listening in via Broadcastify. Because that's what the result would be. Non-amps listening to what we say in a morning that I posted that on. That was what I was trying to say. What I could do with this Broadcastify. We could get listeners right. And as I said, just because you can do something doesn't mean you shouldn't. Alright, AA-4-H-O, Rod Muir-Maflorn. Everybody have a nice weekend. I'll be here tomorrow. Back to Josh Connect Control, AA-4-H-O, Muir-Maflorn. AA-4-H-O, AJ-5, IRQ. Yeah, I've been really worried so much about people wanting to be on Broadcastify. First off, they're on public airways. We all are. So that right there indicates any sense of privacy I think anybody would expect with M-Radio. So I would not let that be the reason why I wouldn't do it. I would not let that factor in my decision making at all. We're all on public airways. Secondly, we're already being Broadcastified on the internet. Go to D-Drop-In.info, click on Gabby's awesome little button, and you can listen to it. Anybody can. I've seen it through friends and family already. So I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to accomplish here. But yeah, I wouldn't let people stop you from doing it because you're not sure they want to be heard over the airways. They're already being heard over the airways. But why not? I appreciate you. I hope you have a great Friday. We'll talk to you again tomorrow if everything aligns. We're going to move down to the gray KC-2, PK-2. I'm sure you'll probably get the bit to talk to us. Let me let Mike enjoy us. AJ-5, IRQ. I was never described more perfectly. First things first, you're doing a great job. This is a great net. You're going to be great at this. There's no doubt in my mind. You're just going to keep refining it until it gets better and better and better. So good for you. If you haven't gone to kk7nqn.net, you should. That tool is amazing. I was just reading through the transcription of our whole net. My mind is exploding. It's very, very cool. Also, at the same time, because I'm always doing 12 things when I should really only be doing one. I was talking to Gabby. Actually, she's on Discord. And she was saying, what if we put together a Cowabunga family page? Would people like to submit a picture and a blurb about themselves? And this isn't just we have it for net controls and stuff like that, but we don't have it for regular users. People who are putting in the time and are here every day would get on that in that sort of family section. So I'd like to hear from you guys. And Josh, you reinforced this. Do you think that's a good idea? Would you cooperate with that? Yes, Josh, I still need a picture of you. And also George. He may be listening. I actually think I might have a picture of George. But I'd rather use the one that you picked. So there you go. Anyway, guys, this all is a privilege and a pleasure. Thanks so much for doing the net, Josh. It really helps out. And think about that question. You want to be part of the Cowabunga family? Have your own page. Come on. Alright, 73, you guys have a great Friday and we'll be talking to you tomorrow. This is KC2PKG. This is KC2PKG. Thank you for the kind words, first and foremost. I appreciate them and your encouragement. Something I have learned about you is you are great at encouraging people and I appreciate you for that. I'm trying to make sure I tell people why I appreciate them. I don't know why. It just popped in my head to do so. So I'm learning that problem really for the day. Yes, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Hunter, man, if you're still listening, kk7nqn.net. I didn't know what I needed to do with my website. I mean, I've had some ideas of maybe writing or something. But I think you just kind of gave me the inspiration. I like your dashboard setup. I have also thought about doing something similar to that, maybe including ham, clock or ham dashboards. I don't know if you're familiar with them. Anybody on this net. You can find them on GitHub. Ham clock is a pretty cool HF ham radio software that you can put on and you can make a red server out of it and just look at it whenever you need to. I actually have it, I think, up on my, you know, hop a look to see if I still have it on my server or not. If not, I can easily throw it on there and show you all. I don't do HF, so it's not all that cool for me at the moment. But you can do HF. You may really like it. But yeah, man, this is awesome. So kudos to you. I was going to do some more about it when we get back down to you. You're right. Thanks for making me stop and type in kk7nqn.net. I had written it down. But you know how my work day is. I would have probably forgotten all about it. And it's not forgotten now. Moving on to D if she's still with us. KN4LDF, I think she is because she said she's working, she's at home for the week. Which is great for us because we get more time to get here and talk to us. 73 rounds, D. The mic is yours. This is KN4LDF. This is D. Wow, so much information. Now I am not into coding or anything like that. I'm a simple person. My brother on the other hand, we will call him a geek. He had a store in New York City and his business was booming before he passed away. And I did a little thing here and there. My interest was not in that. I did some things, but I was thinking pie and all this stuff that had to work my brain out. It was just too much for me. I just didn't want to do it. And then, you know, but it's for one, you know, everybody is individual. So I do like hearing about it though. Don't get me wrong. I just love it. You know, so, you know, I'm amazed because I always look at the page of do drop. And the long dedication of these people is just amazing. Like when Paul died, Bill took over. And you're talking about 16 years of just dedication of people trying to get together. And we had a discussion a couple of weeks ago about how people once or twice try to destroy, you know, you know, angry people, you know, and how you guys went through the bumps in the road and everything. And, you know, I really hope that you guys continue this. You know, it's very great to get a group of people. I mean, that's how scientists work. Scientists work the same way. They don't think about their skin or anything. They all get together and they try to figure it out and have opinions and share opinions and be respectful. You know, because if not, we wouldn't have, you know, up in the ship. And I forgot the name of that ship where our astronauts are in. I mean, you know, sometimes my mind don't work. Anyway, I want to thank 73s. I appreciate your time. And back to you, John. This is KN4LBS. Thank you for the 73s. And I always enjoy listening to you talk. I heard tell that you may be looking to try out net control. I'm looking forward to that. I think you would be pretty good at it. So with that, I say happy Friday to you. And we are going to move down my list. I'm moving my favorite page because we've had some people check in and check out. And we are down to Kilo Echo 2 calling Sierra Tango. I have him locked out. But he didn't necessarily say he was getting help so maybe he's back with us. So I want to try Pete from Upstate New York. Kilo Echo 2 calling Sierra Tango. Are you sure? The mic is yours."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-20T04:35:35+00:00","id":20002,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":20001,"text":" This is KN4LBS. I wonder if I'll be able to see it from where I'm at. I'm going to chime. And back to you, Josh. Thank you so much. We'll miss you. We'll miss you in 73. Have a great day. Let's see. Next on our list is Gee, who just checked in. Maybe for this conversation. Who knows? Gee, what do you think? Are there things that we shouldn't say to engage in on the cowabunga net? Let us know. This is Casey, Jim, PKG. Over to you. KN4, LBS. Good morning, everyone. This is KN4, LBS. Hello, Gray. Hello, everyone. I always have to say I woke up this morning, and I was grateful. This question you're asking, I think I have a mouthful. But I want to try to cut it as short as I can. I want to give you an analogy. An analogy. Seven people to my company. Seven people to my company. I am the manager. And one person of the team, because it's a teamwork, to keep my company going. It's disruptive. And because of the person being so disruptive, two people kept on calling off. So my company was kind of quibbling. So now I have the disruptor, which is not a great employee. Two employees are calling off because of the disruptor. So I have three people off. I have four people that's working their butts off to keep the company afloat. And I still lose my company because I only working with four people instead of seven. The only thing I had to do was I'll have six. I could work with six for my company because I only needed seven. If that makes any sense from my analogy, I'm going to reset. Just one second. And as for being disrespectful, I am the kind of person, I respect you. Even if you don't show a bit of respect, I'll still give you common courtesy. But as a net controller, I am the police for here. If I become a net controller, whatever the case is, I feel that I control what's going on in my room. And I find that I am responsible. So if I feel that someone's being disruptive, let me go. I feel this, I don't know. It's just whatever it is. It's not my room. You know what I'm saying? But I'm still here. And I still come because I know a lot of people here. The six people are OK. But it is what it is. I don't own this, so I don't create the rules. And like I said, I like to play in the playground. So I play in the playground respectfully. I don't throw sand in your face. So that's me for K and for LBS. LBS. I'll be at 1W1M. Peter, you're back. OK, we called you a couple of times. I'm going to let Allen go. And then I'll call on you. We're asking about things you shouldn't do on the cowabunga net. So you get a chance to think about it for a second. D, I think that is a great analogy and good explanation of what people do. And very much so. You're running your net. You can ask Joe. It's your net. You run it any way you want. And short of, well, we're not going to talk about this or we're not going to talk about that. That will get you a lot of backlash, that kind of stuff. But you're right. You're the cop. That's what controls do. It's part of their job. Allen, W0GL. And you know what? Since I had you one and done, I didn't put you down on the bottom of the list when you wanted to contribute. And I should have. So it's over to you, Allen. What shouldn't you do on the cowabunga net? This is KC2PKG. OK. This is going to blow your mind. But you know, I've said this before. Watch out for the quiet ones. You never know what they're thinking. But I'm going to say this. And it's not very nice. But a week ago or so, there were texts that were being made in the text box. They were very unkind to another ham. And that should not ever be said or done. The same thing is on the air. I'm not going to say who it was, who it was against. But anyway, W0GL, Dr. Neff. Do you have any screenshots for me, Allen, in regard to that? Have you one, UKZ? No, I don't. Sorry. W0GL. I don't have any either, unfortunately. If anybody ever sees a Sargent for Upgrade, if anybody ever sees anything like that in the text box, I'm often on RF. The text box is not regulated like RF is. But if there is some nonsense and it's directed toward another ham, and it's demeaning, degrading, insulting, whatever, take screenshots, guys. Because in order to do anything about any of this stuff, I know who you're talking about. I know who you're talking about comments being directed towards. But we need evidence. And that's the thing. On here, when it comes to the audio side, we can pull recordings. The system's recorded 24-7. We can go back through and pull the recordings. The text box, unfortunately, that's not kept the same way. So if you do see anything in there, two buttons on your phone will take a picture of your screen, send them on over to me. And then we can work on dealing with it then. Sorry, Gray. Back to you, man. Feeling you, UKZ. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7, November Quebec, November. Yep. All-star notes. That's correct. Well, you'll feel more confident if you have actual evidence. And you'll be able to examine it for yourself. And I don't think that's a bad thing at all. OK, WB9 CSP. He's jumping in here. He's got some things to say. So we're going to listen to him. This is KC2PKG over to WB9 CSP. WB9 CSP. Well, I know this one's going to scare the hornets' nest. But I know Daryl has been a ham for about as long as I have. We both started back in 06. But the difference is I don't know about the Canadian rolls as much as he does for ham radio. The rule that I was brought up on is no religion or politics. And I know that sometimes gets brought up here. But I noticed as things have gone on and on in the years, it's kind of changed. You're allowed to talk about it. But it's still kind of like one of those tabby things where you have to be super careful about it. Because you can still very easily get things tumbling out of control if you start talking about it. So the way I do that with my net, since you mentioned nets as well, is I try and keep this topic very neutral. Or if it does have either of those in it, it's kind of like a history thing. What did Pope Francis do when he was in Italy or something? So that's usually how I make my approach to that stuff. But that's just my thing about the net. I haven't heard it in a long time, though. But I think it got brought up once. Vaccine, gray, WB9, CSP. How do you know when UKZ put comment? Go ahead with your comment. Richard, there's no written rule in any amateur radio classifications, American or Canadian. You said rule. Rule you were brought up with. There's no rule. It's not written. If you can find it, I'd love to see it. But it doesn't exist. We encourage free speech on this net. And if people are offended by general discussion topics, then that's on the person who's offended and not the topic itself. So we try to keep things here when we discuss politics and religion. We try to keep them as people's opinion only and not direct it toward anyone. I'd never insult your religion, for instance, or your political views. But we're open to discuss anything that's in the news, which is very political. And if someone wants to discuss religious topics, we don't often do it. Sometimes political and religious do get crossed, and then we do have a conversation. But as far as just freedom of speech remains king on this one, man, I think he's only a new ham within the last couple of years. I'm viewing you, Casey."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-23T04:33:23+00:00","id":22122,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":22121,"text":" KN4LBS"},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-25T04:44:56+00:00","id":24025,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":24024,"text":" This is KN4LBS. When I come in here, especially to this net, because I go to other nets, you know, I go to prayer and then I go to different things, but this one is a little different and there's a lot of controversy in here. When I come in here though, I don't look for our differences. I look for things that we both can, you know, kind of relate to. So even though a person can bring up a subject that is really debatable and constantly do it, I have to look, if we do that, if we eliminate one person, the next person, then there's no audience. You can't just eliminate people because of their controversy. But I understand it could be a real problem because if you don't eliminate the person, people just start dropping off, you know. There's other places you can go that you don't have to listen to something that is so off the charts. Problem, you know, the only thing I can say is, I hear you guys when you get on about having consideration and with the controversy things, and if you're going to say I have respect. But some people don't hear that. Some people refuse. So, refuse to hear the rules because they really believe the rules are made to be broken and that's not the case. It shouldn't be the case anywhere because if that was the case, every place will be chaos. Everywhere will be just chaos. So, I really believe that you guys are really doing a great job in here having controversy because that's what brings people here is the controversy. It's the, you know, let's see who's going to have a Duke fight. But it has to be respectful, you know. So, it's a hard thing to look at, right? It really is. So, I'm kind of neutral in this because me, I gave my analogy about it, about if you had a team and so forth. And I don't know who was here that heard my analogy, but that's how I feel about it. That's my analogy if I was, you know, if I had to do something. So, anyway, this is KN4LBS. This is Dee. So I'm going to be listening. I'm going to be in and out. So Russell and everybody, you have a great day. Be blessed. Good morning Kevin. This is KN4LBS. This is Dee. Um, woke up this morning gave gratitude to be allowed to awake and Kevin you were naughty eating your dead moon cake. Anyway, um, I'm not sure um I'm reading the I'm not sure what I'm meeting here. Anyway, Sunday I had um it was I had a problem with my internet so I couldn't stay on so I missed a lot of stuff on Sunday I guess. Um, here in my area we expect a strobe like our when there's lightning and thunder for some reason our lights are on and off like crazy sometimes without three four hours without any electricity in this area and I will call my friend down the block and they're like no we have electricity and I'm like okay. Anyways back to you Kevin. Yeah, I've heard of other people asking it similar questions. I would think that the programmers who actually do program this thing, I would think that they may have through some Easter eggs and they're just a mess with the civilization. I don't know. I will say this. I'm not worried about AI destroying the world. I'm more worried about humans destroying the world first. But you're doing a really good job of it. So moving down to Miss D, KN4LBS. I guess, you know, destiny is where I'm supposed to be at, right? So I have to accept the good and the bad about being here in Florida. And if I had a choice, I'd probably be in a four-season area. My son lives in Colorado. I'm going to eventually want to get there. But, you know, it is what it is. Life is accepting things and being happy with it. So that's what I'm doing now. Being in Florida, I have to be happy here. And the Windows 11, you know, I didn't realize I checked. And I'm upgrading to Windows 11. I have upgraded to Windows 11. And I didn't see any change. Nothing. I mean, it's functioning just the same way as it has been. And until you guys mentioned it, I wouldn't have looked. So I am updated and nothing really different. I don't see anything different. It's a shame. Anyway, this is probably going to be my last transmission. I'm going to listen for a while. I have to do a couple of things. And everybody have a great day. Sorry Russell, I was walking away from the computer and then I heard my call sign, I'm sorry. I'm doing pretty good this morning. I went to the Ham Shack today, the one in my area, and they were doing something very interesting. They were doing DRS, which is Disaster Release Services. What this Kings Point is doing is, there's a disaster, they have, I guess, operators, ham operators to assist. Come to find out, because I'm sitting there listening to the call downs, they have over 800 DRS agents, so called agents, to assist in disaster in this compact area that I have here, in the map. I find that so interesting that they're able to accomplish this. They were doing sequence, they were recording all radios. Every radio was checking in. I'm sitting there, these voices checking in, 101 checked in, 100, 200. It was just amazing in sequence. It took about an hour, I think about 45 minutes for 800 or something people to check into the DRS. I find it amazing that. I'm going to look into it because they said they give you a radio, but you have to pass a test. I need to find out if the test you have to pass for that is your ham test or is it an additional test that you have to do for them in order to get into the DRS. So anyway, that's what happened yesterday. I was, you know, met up with some people, my ham shack that are, you know, I guess every place things, people come and people go, so there were new faces. Very interesting, very interesting. This is KN4LBF."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-18T04:50:45+00:00","id":40812,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":40811,"text":" This is KN4LBS. All right. You know, I got to tell you what Kevin just was talking about. And I looked up, I asked Google, what do homelessness look like today? And it says a growing number of men, women, and families struggle with crisis. And it also says an increasing number of seniors, because seniors have a set income, they cannot go back to work. So they may be sleeping in cars, tents, or shelter spaces, and are diverse individuals, including people with disabilities and pet owners. Now that goes to contrast to what I once thought homelessness looked like. Homelessness today are families and their pets in the street. That's homelessness. It's not what we used to think of hobos. All right. It's not that anymore. The problem is, it's what Kevin says, the mic hasn't dropped yet. It hasn't. Where are these people going to go? And are you eventually going to be one of them? That's the problem. Are we going to be one of them before the mic drops? And it's going to be really bad. It's not only them. And then we're looking at what they're going to do to them, you know, and it's just where are they going to go? Where are these families going to go? There's no housing. There is just no housing. So I really think that Kevin said something, and the worst part about it, we can't do nothing about it. Really, it's up to our government to do something about it. We can't, as individuals, put up all these thousands of people into homes. That's something that the government needs to do and find a place for them instead of kicking them out of one place with no solution. There's no solution. Just kick them out. No solution. Where are they going to go next? Where you can kick them out against one somewhere else? I don't know. This is disastrous. Very disastrous because, you know, one minute you think you got it set, next thing some disaster comes and you're in the same position as them. So, you know, it's amazing of what's going on today. This is Kay in 4LBS."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-19T06:01:24+00:00","id":41662,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":41661,"text":" There's ramifications with everything. Congratulations to Team B. You guys won. I almost think that Team B has won every week to be honest with you. But I may be wrong. I should have kept track. That would have been helpful I think. But anyway, good job guys. And I noticed that this is I think the fourth week we\u00edve played Family Feud. And only one week did we have to go to a third and deciding game and that was last week. But anyway, all right. So now with that we\u00edre going to go back to talking about what we\u00edre up to this weekend. So we\u00edll go to D, KN4, LBS. You got plans D? The mic is yours."}]}
