Okay, I have a comment about eating rice. I thought this is how it was done, but I looked it up anyways just to make sure. But for eating rice, you put the bowl up to your mouth and you scoop or shovel the rice into your mouth depending on the stickiness. So that's how you eat rice with chopsticks. W0GL, victim out. Alright, W0GL, this is KC2PKG. Now we're going to go on the truck, AA4HI. Chuck, how was your weekend, ma'am? And you have plans for the week? Something going on? When is your son coming home? He should be arriving home pretty soon, shouldn't he? This is KC2PKG, over to you, AA4HI. Craig, he's home. Take him up to the water. He's home. Keep him up in Washington, DC. Anyway, it's something weird in the tour park when a dog comes out and tries to bite a rider, but the motorcycle will scare you all behind. No one wants to get chased by a dog when on a bicycle, especially when you're going down a road like 25 miles an hour. But anyway, he's home. He's glad to be home. He's finally getting not being so tired of jet lag and walking so much. He had a great time. And I'm glad to get to see a lot of the world. And I've been on HF working a lot of parks on the air, photo stations, CW, iPhone. And also, it cooled off great. We've had a few days of cool weather. I don't know whether or not it's going to get back, I think Thursday. But good time to work on the antennas. I get to get that Delta Loop up higher. You know, if I didn't feel like getting out there, the wind is so hot and gray. I mean, it's just a musical. For two months, it's been like that. So with the cooler air, it makes you want to get back outside and do something. Look at that drop. So anyway, I'm throwing the doobie out there and take that coaxial cable out of that 20-meter Delta Loop and bring it back to a cleaner balance outside. So I can get it up higher because I didn't have any more coaxial cable. And I can tell I need it to work anywhere other than 20 and 10. So that's kind of the fun about it. I've been enjoying HF a lot. I hope you've been enjoying your FTX1. I know a lot of people want those things. And there's a lot of hype around like is everything when it comes out. And you got some saying, no, no, no, I like the 705 better. It's lighter. But you can't beat something with two bands and two antenna ports. You know, I say two bands at once and two antenna ports. So I think it's pretty darn cool. And anyway, life goes back to work this month sometime. Because it's back to school month here, anyway, down south. So there's a lot going on here. I'm glad to work at my dad's house. You know, helping him out. All he does is cruise a lot more. You know, that's his thing now. He'll pay his price a couple times a week. You know, he's got sprinklers and hiss. What he likes doing. But everything's going pretty good down here. Coming back with your gray A4 chair. This is redo. A4, A9, this is Casey, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, I am having a lot of fun. It's my next one. I use it every day. It's my second way into the net. And I can tell the hell. Because it's got so many indicators. It runs a waterfall display. It's called a waterfall going up display. It's in 3D. It has an oscilloscope display. And it has a fast pore-ne-er transform. Fast pore-ne-er transform. So I get to see everything about what you're saying. The entire audio spectrum is represented by that. It's cool. It's very cool. I love this screen though. Alright, Terry. MM0, R, A, N. Are you still going for an FTX1? Or are you waiting and biding your time? This is Casey 2, PKG. Terry, I wish you a weekend. Good. MM0, R, A, N. Return as well. Good morning, Gray. Good morning to everybody on the net. I'm going to hear everybody today. Firstly, the FTX1F. Funny you should mention that, Gray. I actually ordered one last night. I've decided to order the Optima. I spent several months watching videos, good and bad reviews. I just like doing it. I think it looks great. I like the versatility. Obviously, I go to the caravan quite frequently, my sister's caravan. I think it would be quite a good go-box radio as well as the C-3. I can see a lot of uses for me personally for using it. I just like the dual-band feature as well. The more videos I've watched, I think the more I talk to my health into it. One of the UK radio deals, a family has got stock direct from Yesu, Japan. It should be shipping. They're getting a load of them in shipping in the next week or so. I'm a little bit hoping that I manage to get one from that batch. If not, I'll just bide my time and wait out till it is available. There we go. That was my big purchase last night. My weekend was quite peaceful to go on a screen. My son and my husband, they were at a truck show on Saturday in Edinburgh. I did some of the stuff. I came home and just enjoyed some of the sunshine we had. Yesterday, I was actually attending coming on the East Nae and the worldwide friendship. I was locked in and I was sitting in my living room on the sofa. I know these off. I fell asleep for about two hours yesterday having an afternoon news there. I got up and I was just sitting there. I was just sitting there. I fell asleep for about two hours yesterday having an afternoon news there. Hang on, I'll take any hit. I must be getting to that age where I'm starting to need this afternoon nap. Hi, hi. My apologies. I've maybe not been on quite as regularly as I usually am. We're still in the school holiday period. I've been telling it out and about. I'm not talking as well, but it's been a bit of a juggle from time to time getting round everything. It still goes back to on the 14th of August. Normal service will resume, so that will be that. I was listening to Josh saying that he's on a healthy eating plan. I too have started on healthy eating. My eating was just getting a little bit out of control. I was getting a little too full and eating the bad stuff. I studied last week on my healthy eating and I've lost five pounds in weight. I'm quite pleased with that. It's working. I can do it if I set my mind to it. It taught me that the salmon actually will enjoy salmon as well. We're quite lucky in Scotland. We have lovely fresh water salmon here. We're quite renowned for our salmon actually. People actually come here to salmon fish. They eat salmon and think salmon's from here is lovely. They're a quite big fan of salmon there. Anyway, Mm0rkn, but they need control. Mm0rkn, this is KC2PTG. While you're waiting for your FTX10 rod, take a look at some of the accessories. I got one, which is kind of a taste for it. It's really a framework with handles on it and stuff like that. It makes it much easier to pick it up and move it around. It's just a big brick. I got that on it. It looks cool and it directs the sound a little bit better when it's got that on. It looks like it's in fall without getting hurt, which could happen. I'm happy with that. I'm still waiting for the Bluetooth chip and the GPS to come for mine. Those seem to be in short supply. Although I may have to go back and check and see if I actually did order those or did I just zone out in the middle of that. All right. Well, it's good to hear from you, Carrie. That's great, and you lost weight too. Unbelievable. Good for you. All right. Let's see if anybody else wants to get in on the Monday morning version of the cowabunga net and then we can get going. Come now with your call sign. This is KC2PKG. Join the conversation. We're dying to hear from you. Come now with your call sign. Remember, 9 Oscar Foxtrot, uniform in 9LFU. In the meantime, we're going to go to the KN4LBF. J, what have you repaired or restored that you think you did a pretty good job on? It's over to you, D. This is KC2PKG. This is KN4LBF. This is D. It was something very simple, but I am proud of it. When my parents died, they had this Asian 3D face made of porcelain. It's about two feet long and one feet wide. And I'm looking at it. And through the years, it's about 75 years old right now, it looked like it needed a little uplift. So the figure on top hat is a female, and it had a crown on top of her head. And I repainted the crown gold and just her sleeve gold. And the retouch was amazing. It just made an amazing improvement how it looked. And I'm just looking at it right now. And I'm pretty proud of it. Back to you, Gray. This is KN4LBF. KN4LBF. This is KC2PKG. Porcelain. Have you repaired or restored porcelain? That sounds very hard. It really does. And the fact that you painted it and you're proud of it, that's great. That is great news. Josh, PJ5IRQ, what's something that you either repaired or restored that you're particularly proud of the job you did? This is KC2PKG. Open to you, Josh. PJ5IRQ. KC2PKG. This is KJ5 on cue. Something I would have had that I'm particularly proud of, oh, gosh, I remodeled a house before. That was pretty cool. I'd say I remodeled houses around here. And the houses are houses, I should especially clarify that. I've repaired a lot of things. KitchenAid. My wife loves the KitchenAid mixer. And all year after we bought our, I think it was our second one, it went out like the first one. I was getting really frustrated with it. So I did some digging around. And it's the brushings. I don't know why I didn't think about that with the first one. I fell a fool because I threw the first one away for like $20. I got to replace the brushings and kept the first one. I replaced the KitchenAid with some good brushings. And gosh, it's been years. And it's still working just fine. She uses it all the time. That was personally a good fix. KitchenAid mixes, you know the cream and galakop, at least that's what I was really concerned. There ain't no point in paying more money than that for something that does the same thing. Let's see. I do have a project coming up. As soon as it starts cooling off into the fall, rather I want to be outside all day every day. We have an old family bench. Joseph E. Ford built this bench. Not that y'all would know him, but he happened to be one of the first people in the Middle of Wales to open the store. And she's got to give you an idea how old this bench is. I have an actual picture of him in this last sitting on it. It is 1888. It's over the rock. It was my grandparents, of course. It got passed down to me. And it's an old, bad shape. I mean, it is a bad shape. But we're going to look into repairing it. I want to keep it as original as possible with as much wood as possible. So I may end up using clear epoxy or something to fill in some voids. But the idea is to bring it back to a shade of a swirly void. I can't tell you how many seeds of the fence people in my family have sat in that bench over the years. I mean, if some of them could tell a story, wouldn't you love to sit and have that word pour out the stories since, at least in my family since the late 1880s? Man, talk about an explosion of lighting ideas. Anyhow, yeah, so that's coming up. That bench, I'm really excited about it. The only thing I don't know is who gets it after me. I've got two boys and a daughter. And it's always stayed with somebody with a last name before it. So I'm sure it will stay with my boys. And I sure it won. And so I'm going to see who ends up at the house in a safe place for it. And that's probably who will get it. Sorry, I had to reset for a second. I was running out of time. Anyhow, that's it. I'll send it back to you, KJ5. I'll help you back to KG2PKG. KJ5 IRQ, this is KG2PKG. A bench, a family bench. That sounds cool. That sounds cool. I'd love to see a picture of that. KI7ODD, I see you in the text box. You want to give it a shot now? Tell us how your weekend was. Maybe tell us about something you restored or repaired that you're particularly proud of. Over to you, KI7ODD. This is KG2PKG. This is better now. This is KI7ODD. KI2KC2PKG. I actually am thinking, let me think. Oh, yeah. I restored stuff before that. My squeaky here is my fan. It just squeaks, squeaks, squeaks. So don't worry about that. I should have read this text thing. Ah, never again. All right, I hope my audio's better. I'm sorry about earlier. It was my rig. I need a new one. I need a new rig. Gosh darn it. All right. What I did yesterday was I was thinking about beading, playing with my, getting my crafting done. I did some sewing last weekend, but this weekend I am going to go on and be at the Idaho State Convention for ham radio this year, which is going to be awesome. I hope I get the 7800 icon. I hope I get it. Just hopefully I can get it this time. I don't, I don't. I can't, I couldn't even sleep last night. Sorry about that interference earlier. All right, have a good day guys and gals. Okay, this is KI 7 ODD, Murray in Spokane, Washington. KI 7 ODD, I'm Murray. That's pretty good. That's pretty good. That, your audio sounded fine. That time it was perfect going through there. So I've got you on the list. We'll be hitting you again. And Steve, N0BF, I've got you on the list too. We're just going to keep working down the way we're doing it. DA 4 HO. Ron, is there something that you repaired that you are particularly proud of? So what do you do? A4 HO, this is KC 2. Yeah, you know, you might remember me talking about, you know, when I redid the bathroom and the shower, I put caulking and you're supposed to put silicone on it, and I put silicone on it. And I put silicone on it. And I put silicone on it. And I put silicone on it. And I put silicone on it. And I put silicone on it. And I'm supposed to put silicone. And then I, you know, when it started leaking underneath, I had to get all of that out and redo it and put silicone in there. But that's really nice. You know, I got granite top on the, you know, the sink, new sink and toilet, completely new shower. And it's really nice. I did the water heater and the copper pipe I had left over, I made myself a UHF antenna that I use with my All Star Network. Whenever I'm on my mobile rig or HT and I'm on All Star, the signal goes through the antenna before you hear me on here if I was to do that. And I got one of those nano-VNA's to make sure, you know, it was resonant at the right frequency. That I needed it at. All kinds of things. The vehicle I drive now is new. The one before that, even though this was an upgrade, it had all of the features because I put in a lot of aftermarket stuff. The GPS I added and a whole mess of things. The side rails to step into it. Of that I do, but I didn't have to do that with this last vehicle I just bought. You know, because it came with it all. But I did install and put the automatic garage door opener in. And that I'm pretty proud of. It works really good. Now I just drive up to the house and I don't even go out the front door anymore when I take the car. You know, it's in and out through the garage. The door opens, pull the car in, door goes down, come in through the garage now. If I think about it, there's a lot of stuff. Except for the stuff, you know, I don't have the tools for it. I have to pay somebody to do it. AA4HO, Ron Nirma, Florida, back to you, Gray and Nick. AA4HO, this is KC2PKG. And it is all the something with the house. You know, I lived in a house in Morristown for 30 years. And I can't tell you how many weekends I spent either under the car or working on the house or cleaning up that yard. It was just endless, endless. I'm so glad to be out of that. Because I don't like any of that stuff. As it turns out, it's kind of fun to create things. It's kind of fun to repair places. But when you're doing it in all your free time, I built a car there. An Aztec 7 from FiberFab, which goes on a Volkswagen chassis. And that would best two years of my life. I'm never going to get back. I went to sleep, because it's fiberglass, I went to sleep crunchy every night. It was just terrible. My wife hated it. Alright, KN6UYZ. What have you repaired or restored that you're particularly proud of? Okay, John, this is KC2PKG. Over to you. KN6UYZ, thanks so much for having me as usual. Yeah, you know, in 1970 I bought a Corvette. And, you know, come around 1974 or 5, the car needed a great job. And so I decided to take care of it myself. And jacked up each tire individually at the house. And decided I'd grab a screwdriver and place it between the calipers and the rotors and pry the brakes apart so I could insert a new pad on all four wheels. Well, that worked great. Good job. Padded myself on the back. I took off in that car and next thing I know, I know, the brakes were pushing all the way to the floor. I had to have that car towed back to the dealership and it cost me $1500 in 1975 to have that brake job done properly. Apparently you're supposed to relieve the pressure in the system, in the brake fluid system because I didn't do that before pulling everything apart and losing the, and I blew the seals and all the pistons. And this is a dual caliper system. And it was very expensive. I don't know what $1500 in today's money might be, but it was a problem. So with the exception of not being proud about my brake job, yeah, that's one of my better jobs. Back in that K and 6 UYZ. K and 6 UYZ. Boy, that brought back memories. This is KC2, PKG. I used to always do my own brakes and all of that stuff. And what it leads to is you're driving down the highway two states away from your house and you're thinking to yourself, did I put that spring back in? In the left rear tire? Did I put that spring in? Those were my thoughts after working on my car almost every single time. I was like, I don't remember. And of course, the first brake takes three hours. And the second one takes two hours. Third one, you know, takes about an hour and a half and the fourth one is over so fast you can't remember if you put the spring in or not. It just gets better and better as you go around. Alright, AA-4HI. Chuck, what have you restored or repaired that you are particularly proud of? It's over to you Chuck, AA-4HI. This is KC2, PKG. This is repeater station key low. We had some heads up and some chairs and last night I had to figure that out. And it took a long time. A lot of winter to get on the fingers. It's just about all done. And I want to do it again now. I can understand why people charge so much to do it. You know, time and of course it's just too easy to work. But, um, you have to wear your guns, you know. It just takes a while to do things. Yeah, it is. Anything you're rushing through sometimes it's just not going to be the way you expected it. So, um, anyway, same with the old antennas I like to try out, to build. I mean, you just have to think about it, give it a shot. If not, repurpose it. But, uh, the chairs I think are the best thing where you're wrong. So, what I've done in handling them, they took a long time. They done, throughout the summer just working on them. You know, when she was out. So, uh, anyway, that would be it. Back on to you, AA4-HI. AA4-HI, this is KC2-PKG, Wicker work. That's weaving, weaving with Wicker. That is a big job, especially if you've never done it before. Because you have to figure out what the pattern is. And then kind of trace it back. And a lot of those things, as I remember, the Wicker is fastened with a wooden peg. You know, it goes in, you put the Wicker in the hole and then you pound it in a little piece of wood to hold it there. Yours may work differently, but the ones that I worked on, that's what you had to do. And you had to get that peg out first. Um, it's not specialized, but it is trying. It's very trying, I think. MM0RKN, Gary, when you repaired or restored, you think you did a pretty good job on. It's KC2-PKG over to MM0RKN. MM0RKN returning. Well, Gary, very frequently, I have to repair and restore Lego figures that have broken various Lego models. Cabs, trucks, DAF, radar, all sorts. So quite good at fixing those when they've been knocked over or accidentally dropped. So frequently, do not a bad job of getting them back together. But on another note, I really enjoy restoring Kenny Oak furniture. One thing that I did was an ottoman, many years ago, not enough. But it was one of these ottomans that would store, you know, bed sheets and that could be at the end of the bed. And it was very old, and it seemed better days, but I actually managed to sand it all down, repainted it all, then put a nice kind of fabric, soft cushion on top, and managed to turn that into a sort of storage box come window seat. So that was one of my things that I was quite pleased about in the past. But recently, not so much time really to do a lot of repairing and restoring. I was going to put it in front of my son's PC. He said that I had to play one of his games, and I couldn't get it fixed, so I basically had to do a complete refresh of his laptop. I think he's overloaded it with too many DLCs. So we're going to go back to the start again. So yeah, I'm repairing that. Hopefully I'll do a good job. MM0RK in. Back to you there, Gray in the net. MM0RK in. This is KC2PKG. That's what I used to do for a living. Put people's workstations back together. After they just put something dumb on it, or they had a problem of some kind or another, reallocating memory, and all of that stuff. I'm glad I don't do that anymore. I really am. Alright. Bill, N9OFU, what have you repaired or restored? Do you think you did a pretty good job on it? Over to you, Bill. N9OFU. This is KC2PKG. Alright, I've been trying to think, trying to think, trying to think. And most of the things I'm coming up with is just, you know, things I've put together, you know, like furniture, you know. I love Ikea. Some of that's been pretty intricate when you get into some of these. I'm trying to think. Like the, well the cabinets, I don't know if the cabinets, but the drawers and stuff. Getting all that lined up properly and put together when it's got, you know, two or three different sections, an open section. I'm trying to remember, I know I've done my repairs or in battle. It always seems like something needs to be fixed, put together, or repaired at the house. But nothing really stands out that I really floated over. It's just, you know, it needs to be fixed to fix it. And that's all I can think of at this time. Sorry, I'm just not coming up with anything. Alright, N9OSU. Not to worry about it. KC2, PKG. Bringing that Ikea stuff together, I found one of the neatest tricks was to take the Allen wrench that they give you and saw it off, saw the curved part off, the bend in it off, and then put it in a drill or a driver. And then things go much faster. I'm turning that little Allen wrench. Alright, KM4QBC. You do a lot of repair and restoration, Jeff. Council, what's one project, or two if you want, that you're particularly proud of, that you really think you did a great job? It's over to you. KM4QBC. This is KC2, PKG. KC2, PKG, KM4QBC. Well, great. One thing that came to mind, my wife and I both worked on this, like Josh was talking. My grandpa's old house was a really neat place for me to hang out. I had a CB radio in there. That's before I got into ham radio. Anyway, long story short, the old house was just a plank-mored house, you know, back in the mountains. And a big tree fell right through the middle of it, so we salvaged what we could out of it. And I got all the windows and doors. And my wife and I, I still got a bunch of windows that are the way of the house when I first got them, but we sanded these window panes down into the old six panes. They got six panes in them, and you know, the glazing and all that. So we redid those and repainted them, and we put pictures of our family in there and hung them on the wall. So we're really proud of those, and it's really a special thing. Plus our Volkswagens. My son and I are working on an old bug now, so pretty proud of that one. That's you, Gray. That's a couple. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7 November-November. I thought you were led with the Volkswagens. Is that the one you're working on now? Is it the black bug? Back to you just for a second here. KN4QBC. The black one was actually done by somebody else, but you know, a Volkswagen's clear there's always something in there to work on. So, excuse me, we have done a little work on the motor, done a little work on the interior. Used to touch it up to make it a little better than it was, you know. So the next thing I'm going to do is just a little more work on the motor. I'm thinking I'm going to put a new carburetor on there and probably a new Kilo. So, just to make it a little sharper, because I'm going to start driving it to work this time of year, when hopefully it starts to cool down. And next month or so, after August anyway, I'll be driving it to work in the day and in the night. Can't drive that thing in the summertime, it's just so hot. You can drive it in the evening some, but it's just so hot here in the summer. It's hard to drive in that time of year, but it's fun at certain times, but when it gets up at about night and you're in that thing, you're like being in a sauna, I guess. You can't wear the work clothes down the road and be all sweaty and going into work there. Anyway, back to you, KN4QBC. KN4QBC, Volkswagen repair guy. It's good. I think Volkswagens are really cool. And I could kick myself for when I finally ended up in a car that I didn't have a Volkswagen van. I mean, they're the coolest. They really are. And I think back on that time I was thinking, oh man, I went out of the hotel room. Wherever I went, you know, I didn't need to sleep inside, I could sleep in a car. Which is a fun thing when you're a kid to do. Maybe not so much now. Any of YQJ, Ralph, are you out there? We're asking people what is a project that they've worked on where they restored or repaired something and they're particularly proud of it. Ralph, hey, YQJ, over to you."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-06T04:35:31+00:00","id":14425,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":14424,"text":" AA-4-H-O KM-4-QBC, KM-4-QBC N-9-O-F-U, November 9, Old Swazilandor BC-1, W-O-N, in the shower, checking in"},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-05T05:15:42+00:00","id":14224,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":14223,"text":" Yeah, D, I understand, you know, you might see where there's gonna be, you know, one thing that combats another and we come into like an even-steven equilibrium. But I want to mention, I've never heard Trump say that he was a dictator. And I think if you, you know, unless you've actually heard it come right out of his mouth, I don't think he's ever said that. I could be wrong, but I'll tell you from what I know of him, I'm probably right when I say that it never happened. And the laws, federal law supersedes any state or local law, our forefathers put those laws there to stop the country from going into the direction it was going because they were running it into the ground. We were going into bankruptcy with our debts and the weird nonsense. And Valerie, or, to say, you know, that Trump's a dictator because he's enforcing the laws that the people that were letting this country go to hell, it's not dictatorship, he's running the country, utilizing the tools that he can use at his discretion. Dictators make up their own rules and laws. Trump is going by all the USC codes. He's got some very good people right now backing him up who understand the Constitution and are following the law. And those judges are making things up. Those oversight judges, they're not supposed to give opinions. They're not doing their job. And they're losing, of course, because when it goes to the, they're losing it even in a second court of appeals, a lot of the stuff. And it doesn't even have to go to the Supreme Court because they're not following the law on some of the oversight that they are claiming. Back to you, Russ. So I'm done with my comment. This is repeater station kilo, kilo seven, November, Quebec, November. Okay. I know if you go ahead, Bill. Thank you, Russell. A couple of things up there. Yes, Trump did say that he would be a dictator one day and he was no baby drill. That's what he's referring to. Trump did say he would be dictator, but it was only be for one day. So he is not wrong in saying that Trump said that. She's just, you know, the news blew it out of proportion and said that he'd be dictator from day one. And he would be dictator when he was only referring to a dictator for one day. And he would open up America's resources in order to bring down fuel prices and to make America stronger economically in the fuel market. So you're both right and you're both a little bit off on what Trump said. So, yes, he did say it, but it was only for one day. So he did drill baby drill. And to bring clarification, we've been texting with Josh there. What it sounds like, Josh, because you said you were in your car. My wife and I experienced this. She'll be talking on the phone. She'll have her phone connected through the Bluetooth in the car. And she'll be carrying on a conversation as she turns off the car. And then halfway through the comment or the conversation, the car will disconnect the Bluetooth from the phone. So I'd be hearing her clear because she was coming through the audio system in the car. And then all of a sudden it would just be connected to the phone. And then, you know, her audio would get really low because the phone would be far away from her mouth rather than the microphone up by the top of the car that's designed to pick up conversation from someone sitting in the driver's seat. This is kind of what it sounded like over your last transmission. You were coming through and then all of a sudden it just kind of clipped over. And it sounded like you were far away, like you were coming through your phone's microphone. And then it gradually got louder. Not as loud as it was or as clear as it was when you were in the beginning. But then it, you know, went through that process. So that's what I was referring to, Josh, as far as your audio on your last transmission. Oops, got to grab one. All right. Oysters, yes, I've had oysters on the half shell. Not my favorite. But I have tried them, but I do like oysters. I like oysters too. There's a few other things I have had oysters in the tin. Kind of like sardines, but sardines with oysters and clams. Every now and then I'll grab some. But don't do a lot of oysters that way. Mostly I like them when they're a part of something bigger. But I know they're, you know, if cooked right or prepared right, oysters are supposed to be, you know, pretty good for you. But that's my contribution on oysters. Yeah, I did hear that Kevin was talking earlier about being some kind of national oyster day. So, Grand King on the list, Russell. I've got to get fuel here in about four miles. But hopefully we'll get some more check-ins here and we'll get this thing rolling. 890FU, back to KB9NSK. I'll read my email. But it's not next to you. It's a nine-pence. Anybody else want to get on the top of this business or in that, call KB9NSK. And the question of day is do you like oysters? Call KB9NSK. KB9NSK, please check in KM4, QBC, Kilo, White, 4, Quebec, Pueblo, Charlie, KM4, QBC, Jeff in North Carolina. No oysters here, Russell. We sure do like fried chicken owls. Anyway, I'm wanting to run Russell. I've got to go to work. You all have a good night. I won't tune in for a while. But I can jump in the shower and get out of here. I'm running behind. Take it easy from the Great Smokin' Mountains. KM4, QBC, 7-3. Thanks, Russell. Good morning. Calabunda. I'm going to go to work tomorrow. KM4, QBC, KB9NSK. It ain't YQJ. Waffle, you still out there? Final thoughts from now. This is KC2, BKG. Hey, Dre. Very good timing. I just pulled into my parking spot here at work. And, uh... You know, it doesn't matter if somebody wants to talk smack about me because I don't let the little things bother me. You know, my girlfriend's read this book. It's called Let Them. And my take on Let Them is totally different than hers. I tell her, I say, No, you don't let them. You put them in their place. If it takes breaking their arm, you break their arm. Right now, you know, we don't have the same opinion on Let Them. And the whole book is about how people might talk smack about you, so forth and so on. But I was raised totally different. If somebody has a beef with you, you know, you had it off. So if somebody, you know, was to... Didn't like my opinion and was talking smack on me, whether it's in the text box or whatever the case may be, it would affect me or affect how I come back to the color of Bonginette. And I would just tell them, you know, I think you're an idiot. That's all there is to it. And, you know, don't let someone else dictate what you want to do in life. I mean, it wouldn't stop me from coming back to the color of Bonginette, but that way. Things doesn't bother me too bad. I guess it's because if someone doesn't like me, that's not my problem. That's their problem or a comment that I made. But, you know, I'm the type of person that likes everybody. Somebody really has to do something pretty bad to me for me not to, you know, like them. Let me buy a minute. And whether I like a certain individual or not, it's not gonna affect how I interface with the color of Bonginette. If somebody wrote something about me in the text box, that's not my problem. The majority, 99% of the people that's out here on the color of Bonginette, I think is phenomenal. I love to listen to their opinions, their topics. I like to listen to their opinions. I like the fact that you keep everybody informed about what's going on in the news grade because I don't get the opportunity to watch the news that much. But it's all the above that I enjoy the color of Bonginette and whether I have a chance to check in or not, I listen way more than I have the opportunity to check in. But there's not gonna be one individual out here, whether they talk smack about me or not, gonna determine whether or not I enjoy this net or my opinion of what I have to say. But I am one that if I don't like what somebody commented on, I'm not gonna be open over it. It's not my place. So, you know, I guess that's my thoughts, you know, my final thoughts. Gray, I'll turn it back to you. I'm grabbing my backpack and heading towards the break room. I'll be doing nothing but setting all day. I'm number seven to go out, so I'm pretty sure I'm not going anywhere. Thank you, Gray. Great, Nat. I was listening for quite a while. I wish I would have been able to check in earlier to enjoy the, you know, the trivia that you had. I call it trivia, but I think you know what I mean. Back to you, Gray. N-A-Y-Q-J? N-A-Y-Q-J. Thank you very much. And I think the pop quiz is gonna stick around for a while. This question's right from the New York Times. So if you know the answer to those, like you're getting your information straight, it's nice. K-M-4-Q-B-C, are you still out there? Did you get ignored to death? If you did, it was my fault. So Jeff, final thoughts or initial thoughts and then final thoughts. Over to you, Jeff. K-M-4-Q-B-C. K-C-G-P-K-G, Gray. K-M-4-Q-B-C, Jeff here in a rainy, smoking out. It's western North Carolina. Hey, Gray, I appreciate the net. I was kind of drifting in and out the whole time. I'm trying to wake up. I turned it on when it first started and I was like bam, out for a solid hour and then I kind of drifted in and out from there on through the morning. But just a busy, busy night in Jackson County last night and I had two DUIs, drug charges, and it must have been a full moon because we had three commitments last night, people just going totally off the rails. So we got a really good feeling there on everybody addressing concerns that people have here on the net. And I think just from what I've heard, you've got a couple of witnesses there that really heard or saw what was going on. So I would give that person a good storm warning at least. And if it's enough to get them off, then go ahead and ban them. But I'd give them a warning. If it happens again, you're gone. That's what I tell them. But anyway, I know that Bill and Dale and others that they confer with will definitely make the right decision and the most appropriate decision because I know that everybody likes everybody. Get that. That's it. It's all good and I hope people keep coming back. It's what makes the net. I appreciate you, Greg, and hopefully I'll get up in the morning. I do have to work, dang it. Tomorrow I got another 24 hour shift, Tuesday and Thursday, but I'll try to check in. Take it easy from the great Smokies, K-M-4-Q-B-C, 73. Thanks for everything, Greg. K-M-4-Q-B-C, thanks for joining us this morning, man. So it was nice to have you in it. I'm sorry they worked you so hard. And if we ever get to do that interview, I wanna know all about that. That's what I think is the right subject. Of course you can pick your own. All right guys, that's at the bottom of the list. We did it. We did another successful Monday Calabunga net, which always gets, well, especially when the summer starts slow, but you got very busy at the end. Very, very busy. It's always a privilege and a pleasure, guys. I hope to hear you all tomorrow. And I'll be there. I'll be there. So without further ado, I'm gonna say this is PC2-PKG. The handle is gray. And I'm coming off of Gardner Lake in eastern Chaius, Maine. And I am over and out. Welcome to the Michigan Conference, number 96170, located in Western Michigan. And probably we won't even have 100 out here. We are so lucky. We're in about the coolest area of the Phoenix Valley and being the irrigation that we have. So we'll probably be in the mid 90s. We're about anywhere from seven to 10, 11 degrees less than downtown Phoenix with all the pavement. So we are very, very blessed of having the greenery and the cooler temperatures. So anyway, I think that was a bit about it. And then Joe is really busy right now trying to get this letter off email before eight o'clock. So everybody take care. And Rosie there too. You take care and have a good week. KC7 LRS."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-14T06:00:37+00:00","id":16842,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16841,"text":" Hey, I am. There is KJ. I don't know. So I was in and out. I am very busy this morning. So I won't be I won't be on the people. I just change the point. I am not going to be in OVF. Did he get that? Okay, this is OVF. Yeah, I am here. Finished up breakfast number one. So that is kind of gone. And I am just piddling around here. What is left of my ham station. They gave away about 90% of it yesterday to a, what do you call it, an organization I guess, called Rocky Mountain Ham. But in this area they provide all kinds of emergency services and a backbone for VHS people and things like that. So I donated a whole bunch of stuff to them. And I still have an ICOM 7300. And what else? I can't pick what I am saying here. I do have a 7300. I have a 7610 which is a really good hand saver. And of course I have my cell phone here. Anyway, so yeah that is what is going on here. Books, books, well I don't know. Most books I read these days are manuals. But I read a book now. And the reason was I got up on the Everly Brothers Blood Harmony. Anyway that is a good book. And it teaches you about music. Anyway back to that there is a sensor again. I'm going to get you back up and go. I'm sorry I should have checked it out. Anybody else want to get on the top? I'll get you a hand up. Come on get back in there and check. I'm just getting out of the point. I mean nobody can help me if they make a mistake. If they deliver, you will get clean bottles of pepper. It's worth it. In the wrong storm, in the wrong state. And so I got done with the drill there. I went up to the well. I got myself off the top headed back down. I can't stand basic oil. We're just off the soil. We needed this really bad. We were near the end right. Three days ago. We found out where we had to get more. Right there. But we got to take care of that. That's all. I should be sitting down there. That's all. About an hour ahead of the blink. They need it by Peter's station. Talking about just on top of the plate. All-star dose 622. I want to reset. We'll get it in Shelton, Washington. What's the smoke smoke, sir? Well, Bill sounds a lot like me. I did a lot of blinking. I started a little earlier than him. I started driving back in 86. And back then, I mean, yes, I bet that station's good for the A&E stations. But you know, dead air in a lot of places I went. I needed to be something. So I started with books on tape. And we'd get it through the library. And they weren't expensive, just like Bill said. In my life, what you do is you pick up two or three books a week. And then when I came home on the weekends, you'd get them tuned in. I'd trade them off. And then I'd go to the beach and play books. And that's the one thing. Yeah, I'll take the bookings for 40, 50 hours a week. I did that week after week after week. And we came into our habit. And then we did it pretty much the 90-long way until the next one. So the books on tape, the books on TV, the damn deep freeze, just out of them. I have out of them. I'd be back for a couple of years. And now I've gotten to the point where I buy a book or I keep calling it a book. Next to speech on my phone, it's getting pretty good. And I don't use it that way. It's in the Google Bad Record valley where I'd watch like a couple of lot of books on Amazon for $3 a piece. And I bought the audio book at $20 and $25 each. I'm sorry. Do I not actually listen to them on radio? Well, I can't. Do you have a reset? So what do I like to read? Well, at the beginning, it's kind of funny because there was not very many audio gate sound at the beginning. And I picked up the violin. It became very survival. And it crashed. And by the way, if I wanted to do that, like the other 15 times, I mean, you can do a bunch of courses now. Jazz, digital revolution. And I've got some of Mr. Now's picking up a lot of other books that I could play. Back then, there was a lot of religious books out there on the cross. I got to get out of the high-doc and play and extensive education. And whether it was Christian, I can get out of the desert. I can get more books if you want to. And he also liked doing both Catholic theology and big Catholic theology. All of these very simple kinds of theology books. And apologetic books. That was the very beginning. I was just thinking, no, I really have to persist in science fiction and fantasy. So I get a lot of stuff that came off of this. OK, sir? Excuse me. I want to see if you're finding Deaton. He had a very well-known author, which had a lot of fantasy books. And he's like that. He took a lot of zombie books, too. I love zombie books. I liked the buy-in. Everybody always died at the end. They were just so happy at the end. But she was very weird. She had books, the movies, whatever. The girl games. Some of these days today, not yet. Everybody can hide. It's a great push. There's, let me see, Margina. She wanted this book. I can't punch into very mystery stuff like that. But she really does a good job. She uses that thing, such as Frankenstein and Dracula in the real world. And if I saw birds in their face, and other monsters, I like that. They're still widely accepted. And they're regular. World of people, humans, and everything. It's just natural for them to live in common distance. So if you ever get a chance to read the book, I think it's a pretty good idea. I also like the game case. If you ever get a chance to try anything that has no light code, it's a good idea. It's really good. It's a really good story. It's a little bit fun. And you're awesome. You're just awesome. And once again, it starts hiding. Yeah, I can go on to whatever. Now, this game is changing. I like some of the stuff and not all of the stuff. Probably my favorite is the stand. But if you buy it, you can't raise the stand. Don't get the short one. I think it's a corporate one. It's got a value of 18. It's just the long edition. It's got 16 underpinnings. It talks about the trash can. Now, Royce's pass is about here. I want to build more on the front. It's 500 pages. But here, four more, you see? On top of all that, I still enjoy my chat. I consume a lot when I'm on the road. If I'm not, there's a lot of zero. I'm not sure if I'll get up to the stand. I might get more autographies, motorcycles, or something like that. And then, thank God, I read the New York Times also. I can throw out of that while I'm on the road. Because you have to have your own progress, too. You won't regret it. I did both. I can get parts of the game. The Wall Street Journal made a great deal on Wall Street Journal. We'll pay a buck-sick deal. We'll meet. There's not to be something like $1.70 or something. You can't get a whole year's worth of a incredible deal. You get the same thing with New York Times. You get a dollar, you get a bag. So that's $15 there. Got some good deals there. But anyways, I do like to read a lot. All the time. It's not all of them. Whatever I got, I'll keep. It's just, what else can you do on the track? What else can you do? Anyhow, thanks for the rest. I'll be on the list. One more thing, real quick. No time to go on a bridge. I don't like it. I don't like it when they've got the book in hand. It means you get the short version. There's a lot of good writers. Sometimes it's really worth listening to them about what they have to say in the description of the places. There's always the clues to where you know the book is going to be going. Just for the reason of getting the whole book. You better ask. Just take out these cards. I just don't feel like you're getting a pool. You have to person yourself. And estimate capacity of what the book has to offer. That's it. I can't take it from there. Uh, this is KC2PKG and I'm passing it to Km4 QBC. KC2PKG, Km4 QBC. Roger that. Uh, yeah, I missed it. I really have. Getting my day started out right. Just chit-chat with everybody and coming out of the blocks slowly and taper off the plan. I wish. Hey, what Chuck said, it is a nice here today. It's 64 degrees. So I'm gonna get out here before it's supposed to come a shower. Um, I'm 11, so I'm gonna get out here. I've got just a little spot of grass. I've got a weed eat. Um, I had another boy help me get caught up on my mowing and all so far behind. But it's really nice here today. 64. And the air is just crystal clear. So I just found an awesome Volkswagen on Marketplace there. While y'all were chit-chatting. I couldn't believe it. It's a 65 grade. 1965. And it's, I guess what you'd say, a medium good shape. But they want $8,000 for that bug. It hadn't had any work done to it really. It's just a standard bug. I couldn't believe it. The things have gone way out of sight. But anyway, everything has I guess. So I'm gonna get my camper cleaned up today and get this weed eating done. And get ready for the work week. I've got to hit it tomorrow. 24-hour shift and 24 on Thursday. 12 for on Saturday and 12 hours as I work Sunday night. Anyway, I'll be around hopefully all week. We'll see how it goes. A camper van. And the more I thought about it, the more I said, well let's see. Because they have, it was the early 70s. So there was no air conditioning. And apparently those things burn gas. Like, I mean, if you got 11 or 12 miles per gallon in them. You were being very lucky. And I thought about that for a while and I said, I don't think I'm willing to give up air conditioning. Alright, KC0MAI. George, it's a 73 round. Final thoughts. This is KC2PKG. You know there was this van named Merl and he studied books all the time. He wanted to become the best mechanic in the world. So, I mean, you name it. He studied books on Ford and Chevy, Toyota, GM, everything. He knew everything there was to know about them cars. How the engines worked, how the electrical system worked. All that kind of good stuff, right? But, one day he decided he was going to take an engine apart. He took out the impact wrench and he held it the wrong way and broke his arm. 70 trees, KC0MAI. Alright, KC0MAI, thanks for joining us today, George. That was great. Oh, and by the way, I was the guys who owned the garage in Harvard Square. They had their own show and the show, I couldn't remember the name of the show earlier on, but it was Car Talk. Which came on every Saturday and it was a fun show. People would call them with their car problems. And they were a funny gang. They were funny people. They really were. Alright, BE3FBX. Final thoughts. This is KC2PKG. Over to you, BE3FBX. What do you call it? Oh, okay. I took her over to the hotel and I came back and went to bed. I haven't had a lot of sleep in the last two or three days. Last night was the first time I got some decent sleep. And it was interrupted a couple of times because of my leg. And the... That pain. But I had a big jar of sports cream that I was using to hopefully relax the muscles and stuff. I also took stuff called Back-Aid and it's supposed to help with that. So I did get some sleep last night. I feel better this morning. I got taken by a truck over to the shop this morning and have them check and verify that the differential leaks got taken care of. And also up at the top of the radiator overflow container there's some fluid spurting out and getting all over the truck. So I got to have them check that out and make sure that that's nothing. And have them do what they have to do. So I'm going to be waiting for my wife to wake up and come get me. And then I can load up all my stuff that needs to go to the house. And I'm going to take the truck over to the shop and then we'll probably go out and get something to eat for breakfast. So I'm really working hard at not eating something right now myself. And then go from there. Let's see, a million dollars in trucks. Wow, that's hot. So I got to take a break here and let me grab one real quick. Alright, I found I think it said five million dollars in the back of my taxi cab. If I'm driving it I'd be really worried because they know it's my cab. You know, someone might have planted that money to see if I was going to turn it in or what. So you know, this day and age, you got to worry about that. If it was just a taxi cab that I grabbed and the money was in there, I'd be wondering if it was a taxi cab driver's money. Because if he had that much money in a bag, he'd be leaving it in the back. But he wouldn't know where I was going. So his last fare said, hey, I left the bag in the back. And someone grabbed it and said, right after you I grabbed this other guy and I dropped him off at his house. Here's his address. Go talk to him. So like I said, nowadays with air tags and all other kinds of GPS trackers, you'd be hard pressed to get away with something like that nowadays. You always have to be thinking about it, looking over your shoulder. But even in the past, I've always been one to turn something, especially something big like that, in and hope for a reward. But sometimes I might find a pen or something like that on the ground. Something like that I might keep just as a thank you. But anything major that someone's going to be hurt if they don't get it back, I usually try to turn it in. Because I know if I lost something like that, I'd want somebody to turn it in. Because that wouldn't be a hard thing to lose. But there you go. Thank you, Russell. This is Bill from KB9 International. Anybody else want to get on the cop truck get your hand out, call KB9 International. And the question of the if you want to catch that guy, if I find one guy that's back in the seat, what we can do with it? Call KB9 International."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-21T06:32:09+00:00","id":20809,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":20808,"text":" KM4QBC, I'll also be in and out, Darryl. Morning, Terrell. Morning, Kevin. Morning, Josh. Everybody else is checked in. Yeah, not too much going on here now. We're just, you know, relaxing. Ah. Gotta go buy mom her birthday gift. Her birthday's tomorrow. She turns seven. She's bored of the world. Little buyer thing today, because I don't usually like to shop on Sundays. So I'll get it done today, and then it's all over with. So yeah. I don't have too many plans today, Kevin. Just that, maybe, and just to get the cans and bottles back to the bottle recycling place. Yeah, this probably needs 10 cents a can instead of five. So that's not too bad. So I've got three big bags in the garage, and shit I gotta take back. We'll do that today, and hopefully get them out of here. And then, yeah, we'll figure out what happens. We'll just play it by ear for the rest of the day to see what happens. So back to you, Kevin. I'll be here. E1WINKM1X. Yeah, the, uh, I mean, I don't drink a lot of soda or anything that comes in. I mean, I guess I drink bottled water, and that's a nickel a bottle. I don't even bother recycling. I figure that nickel is a tax that you pay on disposal. You know, they're like, OK, you can pay an extra five cents and dispose of it any way you want, or you can pay five cents and we'll give you your five cents back, you know, when you recycle. And I just don't want to, it would take so long for me to accumulate enough to return that I just pitch them when I get them. I mean, at work, if we have recycled bins and stuff, I'll toss them in there. But if I'm at home the rare times that I'm drinking soda or something in a bottle, I just toss it. I know that it's going to get picked out when they, you know, when they go through the trash anyway, so it'll end up getting recycled. So I'm not too worried about feeling that my bottle's going to end up in a landfill. All right, let's see, who's next? Josh, KJ5, IRQ, good morning to you, sir. How are you? Welcome to the Cowabunga Net. Sounds like that hot weather that you guys have had, you're going to share it with us. And I can't tell you how grateful I am. Can you hear the dripping sarcasm in that statement? Good morning, Josh. What are you up to today? Mikey's yours. KM1X, this is KJ5 IRQ. And a happy Sunday morning to you and to everybody participating and listening to the net today. I'm parked outside my son's work waiting for him to get out of work today. And that's a beautiful morning. That's a good old video of it. Oh, I'm going to work a little bit on the chicken coop when I get back until it gets too hot. And I don't mind sharing the heat, Kevin. I don't mind at all. Today's only going to be 104. You know, I've actually been grabbing about the heat this year, and I grab about it more and more every summer. I don't think it's really getting that much harder for us, to be honest. I mean, it's probably just as hot as it's ever been. But man, I'm sure I'm taking it harder. You know, I do not like the heat. As the great Dr. Seuss would say about green eggs and ham, I say the same about humidity and heat. I'm fixing to post a video I made on AI just messing around this morning on the drop-in Facebook and Discord pages. It's kind of cute and fun. They're all approved. And so, yeah, just messing around. You know, I am really enjoying just playing. I mean, I'm not trying to make magic personally off of it or playing work that isn't bad. I mean, for the sake of this space, AI makes the job a whole lot easier if you wanted to create something. Now that I've been doing it for a while, I wouldn't say I am a creator. I think I am more of a pump door. You know, with AI, you've got to pump it, and you've got to pump it just right. And the words mean everything. And the placement and grammar, I mean, it's almost like you have to be a linguistic expert to be a great prompter. So I don't know if anybody's interested in that, but that's kind of what I'm thinking about today. Like I said, playing us a little video stuff while I'm waiting on the kid to get out of work. The kid, he's not even a kid anymore. He's I think 21 now. Yeah, he ain't got a vehicle. That's a source of contention between us. That's because he'd rather spend his money coming to Florida or California rather than see what I'm getting in the car. So I had to put a front down for that the other day. So he's not super happy with Pop right now, but he'll be all right. Man, I can't even guess. It's going to be a great Saturday. I can feel it, OK? And my dogs are in the truck, and if you can't hear them yelling, every yelling, growling, every time somebody walks by, I say, they just want to say hello in the most unfriendliest germs possible. All right, I've burned up two minutes and 40 seconds. Welcome back to UKM1X, Kevin. I'm glad you're hosting this Saturday morning. Over to you. KJ5 IRQKM1X. It's funny you bring up AI because I am currently enrolled in an online course through Vanderbilt University on building my own EPT. It's pretty interesting how you can, I mean, what I'm going to end up building, I don't know for sure, but it seems pretty interesting. I think, I mean, I'm learning how to build one. I've got to determine what I would want to build it for. I mean, whether I want to incorporate it in work. You could easily, easily build one, for instance, for ham radio, for people that are looking to take, I mean, they have already these apps, but they're trying to take their license. I mean, you could have one for blind people, where it will read the questions from the question pool. And you could, rather than have to type in your answer, you could voice your answer and it would respond. And it always starts out with, you know, what teaching us is, how supportive do you want it to be? I mean, you could tell it to be over the top so that whenever you ask it something, it's just going to come back with this, oh my goodness, I am so glad you asked that question or something like that. Or, you know, it could be more professional. So it's pretty interesting. I've got to decide what I want to do with this skill when I'm done with it. But I figure, that's the way. I don't know, if I got to work for another 10 years, I could see a lot of jobs being eliminated from AI. So I got to try to stay ahead of the curve. So that's what I'm going to do. Ron, 884 HO, how are you today? I don't know about you, but I had an excellent day in the market yesterday. I will probably never have a better day than I had yesterday. And I expect there'll be some sell-off come Monday, but I'm thrilled with what happened yesterday. But I hope you're doing well. Is tonight a karaoke night, or is it a steak dinner night, or what's it going to be? Fill us in on your plans. Over to you, Ron. Yeah, good morning, Kevin. Good morning, Jeff. Everybody participating in the teleprompter net on the drop-in? I started scaling in as of Thursday. And I almost got three, but I'm going to wait till Monday. And you know how many I sometimes accumulate? It's getting to be the kind of market you can hold on to stuff a little longer and wait a little longer to sell. So I'll have to adapt to that. But I don't think I sell too soon, because most of the ones that I own that I sold, I can buy back now at a lower price, except for one. Let's see. I am looking at the ticket that I have that I had to pre-purchase for the rib dinner tonight that I'll be attending. I have it at the lodge that's closer to me. And I prefer the one closer to me, because I've got to drive between 8 and 10 miles for the other one. And if I can get two events in a week apart in one, and two in the other, that gives me enough to at least out once a week. I'm learning and playing with stepper motors right now. I got this laser projector a long time ago. It's about three years old. And it projects to the ceiling. And it's real nice. I enjoyed it. But the stars stopped bursting. And the background nebula stopped wisping. So I didn't know that at the time, it utilized stepper motors, which is the same motors like you would use if in an air conditioner, open and close looper doors, or in a camera, say, if you wanted to zoom in and zoom out. But they come in a whole host of different flavors. There's five and 12 volt ones with different diameters. The first two numbers designate the diameter. So the first one I bought was too small. And it was long voltage too, because I needed 12 volts. And then I went and bought another one. And then it was too big. I needed a 24 in diameter. And I got one that was 28 millimeters in diameter instead. But I really like this device. And I can't get a replacement device. I quite like it. The second one, I did buy another one while I was waiting for the part. And that one I wasn't happy with, because if it stays on for a little while, some of the stars disappear, because it overheats. I can't have that. So I bought a more expensive one. So when I fix this one, I'll have three of them. So I'll end up giving away one. But the one I got now is awesome. It covers a lot more of the ceiling, starburst. The door is going crazier. Hey, hey, hey. Some noise outside. All these patterns I'm looking at right now. And I'll add a wish, more windiness to the net right in the background. And beautiful different patterns that appear and disappear. And wheels and stars and everything. So I'm satisfied with that. I think definitely I'll keep the one I fixed. I got the right one this morning this time. And it's going to be your Sunday. And I'll be able to slap that in and keep that one, give away the one, the first one up, or keep the second one that's running right now. All right, guys, that's enough for me on this go around. I did look up the Beatles' White Album, number nine song. That's number one going into it. AA4-H-O on here. I'll throw it back to Kevin. Hey, hey, four-H-O-K-M1-X. We got a double that time. We got you and the dog. And yeah, the White Album, I mean, there are plenty of people that will argue that the White Album is the Beatles' greatest album. And I think that was the beginning of the end for the Beatles. That was when they were really, you know, in deep with the drugs. And I didn't care for it. I really didn't. And Revolution number nine is one of their worst songs. It's not even a song. It's just noise. So yeah, not a fan. And we'll leave it at that. Maybe I'm opening a can of worms here, but no, not a fan. KM4-QBC Jeff, good morning to you. How are you today? How's little dog? You guys making breakfast? What is it, sausage gravy? And biscuits? And how are the temperatures there? They're starting to curve back up. I know that Chuck was saying they were very nice the last few days. And what are your plans for the weekend? Well, what do you, my friend? KM4-QBC. Hopefully you can hear me okay. Kevin, I am using a different phone this morning to get on Echo Link. So I'm on call for work, so I have my other phone ready for that. So I am going to try to stay on the net, Kevin. But if you call me and I'm not there, just go ahead and take me on. And I'll text you if I'm able to come back, but we have one in jail right now. He got into it with his daughter last night, I think is what they said. But anyway, I've got to handle that. And then I've already fed little dog. She's good to go. She's already been outside and used the bathroom. I'm heating up the oven now for some, I think I will have some biscuits. Good idea, Kevin. Thanks for mentioning that. I think I'll have the biscuits. I think I'll go with the bacon and eggs this morning. So that's where I'm at. That's what I'm doing. And duty calls. So hopefully I'll be around, but if I'm not around the next time, just go ahead and take me off, Kevin, and I'll come back when I get all this done. And I'll text you if I'm able to reach on or I'll call back and text Washington or something. But everything's good, brother. It's 65 degrees. It's supposed to get up to 79. So temperatures are inching back up. It's just been so hot and muggy here, it's crazy. Welcome to the tropical rainforest, western North Carolina. The great Smokies and the Appalachian Mountain range. It's been hot this year, brother, I can tell you that. And we've had some pouring down rainstorms, too. Anyway, thanks for taking my call, Kevin, and I'll try to be around. We'll see how it goes. K.M. Port QVC. Good morning, everyone. K.M. 4 QVC, K.M. 1X. Well, we'll keep our fingers crossed that you're able to stay with us. You say 65. I've got 62 here, so we're not that far apart. And, yeah, we're supposed to get around 80 here today. And then tomorrow it's going to get even hotter. And then Monday and Tuesday we're in the 90s and the But it is August, and we got spoiled because the last 10 days, as I said, were perfect. Highs in the mid-70s, upper 70s, and just gorgeous. But we know that months from now we will have it all behind us, and then we creep back down towards winter. All right, now let's go to gray. GC2, PKG, and then we'll go to the blue. Now let's go to gray, GC2, PKG. Gray, I know you love the snow, but you've got to admit you've got to love this last week to 10 days worth of weather. It's been perfect. And how are things in your neck of the woods? What have you been up to? What's the cat count up to these days? Over to you. What's the cat count up to? AM1X, this is KC2, PKG. East was Chinese, Maine. What's the good news? Lizzie came back 4-3 this morning, climbed up in the window and started yelling at me. So that's a good thing. That's for a two-day walkabout. So that was a short one. And she is crashed. She got a lot to eat. She's got a lot of food. She got a lot to eat and then put her little head down and that was the end of her. I'm going to spend the day getting ready for dinner party tonight. We're having people from the food pantry over. Something my wife's wanted to do for quite a while. And it'll be a pretty good sized dinner. But I have a lot of picking up and cleaning up and straightening out and other stuff to do. And you know, I don't know how far they're going to walk around, how much exploring they're going to do. Because that means other rooms have to be put together and straightened out and all that stuff. So I'm hoping they all just stay in our kitchen, living room, dining room area. And I don't have to worry about it. I will have to make sure there's enough toilet paper in the nearby bathroom. But I've got that to do today. So it's going to be pretty busy. And as for the last 10 days being perfect weather, it's been nicer. It's definitely been nicer, but it's still hot. I'm still sweating bullets just from doing the least amount of stuff. But I'm not happy about that. I really cannot wait for the summer to be over. I really can't. And let's get more and more like that every year. And I still don't even have a boat in the water, which flabbergasts me. I cannot believe I'm having a fun time. Although guests are starting to come. Let me drop this for a second. Or guests are on their way. Tuesday, a really good friend of ours and his wife are coming, and they'll be down in the boathouse. And it might be Sunday tomorrow that there's some ranchers coming to Camp 2. And I think Camp 2 is completely ready, certainly for them. Because they don't have any animals or anything. There's some pet guards and things like that that we are going to finish up. My son will definitely need that, because he always brings his cats out in the woods with the cats. So that's what's going on here today, just sort of gearing up to clean up and straighten up and then be entertaining. So back to you. K.M.1X, this is KC2PKG. KC2PKG, K.M.1X. Wow, you guys are very, very busy between hosting the dinner party and then hosting the folks in the camps. You've got your hands full. And glad to hear the cats back. I think it's funny that you think the cats are having a good snooze now, like, you know, man, no big deal. But I hope the party goes well tonight. You'll have to keep us posted. Look forward to the proverbial post-mortem on Monday. And it sounds like Wes is feeling well, too. Better if she's finally able to host something like this. So that's good. Let's go to work now. K.M.1X, PFD. Good morning to you, sir. How are you today? I'm guessing that you're still making progress on your recovery. And what are your plans for the weekend? Over to you."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-22T07:06:50+00:00","id":21445,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":21444,"text":" All right, all right.
