He is also trying to not roast. And he is doing, I think he is competing with dog on trying to get to your conditioner before he does. So I guess that's a thing. But anyway, what I'm going to do is I'm going to put Linda on. I don't have your, I don't always have a device with Facebook logged in nearby limit where I, how often I access it. And taking a look here, wow, that is amazing. Yeah, anything that resonates there can be an antenna there. That is pretty impressive Rich, thanks for sharing that. Alright, you have a great night Rich, 7-3 to you. Alright, we're going to go next to Charlie, Gate 2-S-T-O, system ahead. 2-2-2, located in Shelton, Washington. Bravo! Fall is every buzz. Sorry about that. I was getting ready to sneeze and just go right away. Anyway, had a great day today and it looks like that tomorrow, even though I got all this cough and dropping my lungs still, that I'll be going home. And that is a good thing. I've been here for a week and a half, you know. It sounds like I'm dying. I do feel like that at times. But you know, after I get done coughing and back to being normal again, you know, it's pretty good to text the pack. But it was a beautiful day. A little bumpy try also over the sky and it was 91 degrees. The humidity was up there at 88 percent. It was like walking into a steamer. And the winds were about 7 miles an hour at any ease. We lost the ocean, feeding more moisture into the plume. And, let's see, the barometer was 30, 28 and it was steady. Three bars over top isn't steady yet. So, that's all I got, Paul. If you please can say hello to this Foxy, I would greatly appreciate it. And I'll put her back to you at that control. DC2SBO back to that control. All right. Well, Charlie, glad to hear that you're going to be going home tomorrow. It's more than enough time to be in the hospital. So, I'm going to go home and look right there. And I think you said 91 degrees, which was pretty much what it was here in Houston town today. But, I don't know what you said humidity-wise, but it was certainly much higher there than it was here. So, I think we'd rather have our 91 than yours. So, yeah, stay cool and hope everything goes smoothly getting home and you get the recuperate fully there. So, yeah, 732 Charlie. All right, Paul, K7PJB, with your 9 o'clock net, you're on Seattle's WW7PSR repeater. I'm going to go next to Mike, KJ7B. Mike, how are you tonight? I'm fine. I'm pretty full. Pretty stuffed. I'm pretty sure it's going to be an after- Mike, how are you? I'm fine. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. She's in good time. She must be rushed. I know that she's going to eventually die and get another Vladimir, planet, dolly, any of them are all about the same. Hopefully, the next one takes a little while longer to get established. I might freeze and trade them for a few moments and then go back to the mines in the battlefield. Back to you as an end. Thanks very much for all this time and for the long-term problems. KJ7PJ. All right, Mike. Sorry, that was a really rough copy on your signal there. I'm not sure why. I heard you make a joke about Russian. Most of that was really, really hard to copy. Did you want to go ahead and try again? Maybe post your signal a little bit and see if that works for you? Sure. I hope my antenna connection is better. I hope it's working there. My radio is low if it wasn't. I'm in my little spot back here in the home, my southeast corner in my woodshed. Yalla Russia? My seamstress, she's Russian. When the war started, or the three-day war that's five years ago, people like that, they said, tell him. I apologize. They said, in some other situation, she's just their time. You can tell she's Russian. When they end the Pavlok, the Lutheran grilled salmon picnic was really good. I'm still really full. That was my Unimeal. I'll get back to eating. Well, I mean fast tomorrow, much of it. Anyways, thanks again, Paul. Good luck with your QRM. I hope I'm coming better. It's kind of noisy out there. Well, I'm getting noise from my LED light. But, you know, the weather's moving in. The sunset was beautiful through all the smoke through the fires in the Olympic Peninsula. So have a good night, everybody, and get yourself a P.E.U. out. Alright, Mike, thanks for that. Your signal was greatly improved. Actually, the first time you were barely tickling the Magnolia receiver, and your second time there, you were coming in full quiet. So I was over here at that time. So I'm not sure what was going on with your position in the house. Because you were not even getting through into the night day, really, in terms of your quality of your signal. So, 7.3 to you. Alright, let's go next to Sean, KJ78. Sean, how are you tonight? This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7, November Quebec November. Well, it would be if I could find the microphone in the dark. Well, this is KJ78XL and I am doing fine. And, wow, that's what that was about. I had a hunch that it had something to do with the fires to some degree, because we don't often get clouds that look like they did today. But, all in all, I had a great day, minus the mugginess and the warmth that decided to settle in on us. I'm doing rather fine. Hanging out with the fans and every shadow I can get. Yeah, that was good for today. But, potato chip colored sun again. All the way to deep, deep red. That was kind of unexpected to find today. But, hopefully, the fires are not too close by and hopefully will burn themselves out. Otherwise, today wasn't so bad. And, it sounds like everybody was having a good time today. And, I did catch KJ7RJ early this morning. And, we had a nice little chat. Now, if we can get KJ7RJL on a little bit more, that actually might be good. Because, we haven't heard him on here for a while. Just once in a great mood. But, hopefully, we can get him on here soon. Because, he needs to have fun on the airwaves and bounce around on it just as much as we do. Other than that, I'm doing fine. KJ7, EXO, back to that."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-19T12:41:58+00:00","id":19609,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":19608,"text":" Well, well, well, as Gammy would say, we are mobile. The dog needs a, what is it, one of those boats that they put the fries in full of water so he can have something to drink at this 100 degree weather out here. Oh my gosh. So it's only 75 or whatever, but it feels hot standing down here in front of the firehouse. But, anyway, we had a very un-fun experience heading up to the hospital, but we made our appointment and we got some news. It was good, good news. So, we're going to have some lunch and I got a 225 Fast Ferry to get us back to Bremerton. But I did bring ten tickets if anybody's in the neighborhood for the Ham Radio Fest in October. If anybody wants to win those tickets, get a shout out or give me a call. Anyway, good afternoon there Jack. But that is a scoop at the moment. He's happy as a kitten can be. And I am just sitting here waiting for them to be ready and waiting for my bus. Because I've got to go meet them down there at the ferry docks. But that's a scoop. Seems to be a nice day. The breeze is a little on the cool side, but it's nice considering all the warm weather we've had of late. So there's my report. KJ7, EXM 3, back to neck control. Appreciate the encouragement. I know this is tough because I'm realizing that one of the things you have to deal with when you're doing a net is all the texts that it jacks into you. So, anyway, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. And next is definitely Brooks' better half, Megan K9MLR. Over to you. Good evening to you, Dean, and hello to Jack and everyone else out there on the net. K9MLR, Megan here at home in Newcastle. Excited to hear you out there tonight, but definitely more excited to see everyone tomorrow for the ice cream social. As Brooks mentioned, it was a very busy day. We have been very busy, but lots of things getting done, and I'm a little bit envious. My brother moved into a very beautiful view of the apartment. He is in South Lake Union, so the apartment faces back towards the Space Hill and towards the water there. So, yeah, a little bit close to that, but I'm not sure of the city life. I definitely like living in the suburbs, but that's just my personal thing. Anyway, thank you for being that excited for tomorrow. I've got all the tickets right by the door so I don't forget them. See you all tomorrow at 73. K9MLR. Thanks, Megan. Yeah, I look forward to seeing these tickets. I have a feeling they're not your typical, I mean there's been a lot of fanfare going on about them, so I'll be looking forward to that. So thanks for checking in and gracing our net tonight. Next, we have another person. Well, everybody on here is a person, but let's just give it up for Rebecca KK7IJZ. Well, Dean, the joke's on you, I'm not a person. Boom! I have a figment of everyone's imagination. Just joking. Dean! You're doing it. You're doing it. You're doing it. I'm so excited. You can't see me do my happy dance, but it's happening. But anyway, I had a great day. It was a wonderful, wonderful day. I spent most of the day in my PJs. I get to see some of your little faces. I got to hear Madeline be your first check-in. What a day. August 9th goes down in the books as the day the Dean goes to the net. 88 and 73 and all the numbers Dean and KK7IJZ. And 33 and 64 and 70. Say again, all of the ladies. Thanks, Rebecca. I appreciate you checking in. Well, I just appreciate you in general. So, yeah, it's always good to say hi to, say hi to Andy for me as well. Next we got Justin, KK7QES. How are you, Justin? Well, hello, Dean. 73. I have never heard you and Jack calling at 9 p.m. now. Either of you. But it is so good to hear both of you. I was out late and was expecting to hear Rich and Bill. I think they are both well. But I'm so excited to hear you taking over my control. Anyway, super cool. You're doing a great job. I haven't really heard much of any help, but you're all doing great. Anyway, I've had a great day. Lots of time outside in the garden. Just, I don't know. It helps me just feel completely relaxed. And I got my cucumber trellis back under control. My jalapenos are so close to being ready for harvest. I'm really excited about that. I'm trying to convince my girls to eat a jalapeno with me. They are not enthusiastic so far, but we'll see. And then some other boring yard chores. And then this afternoon I installed a pulley system in my girls' bedroom. So about a year ago I built them some loft beds. And they wanted a pulley system with a bucket to be able to move things up and down. So we finally got that done. And they've been playing with that all evening. It's been really fun. And quite hilarious listening to them. And then lastly, I'm just watching the Marius game. And it's really cool. Tonight was the ceremony for retiring hero number 51 prior to the game. It was a really cool ceremony. And it seems like the entire, all the guys you would expect from the 95 team to be there. And the 2001 guys and all that. Anyway, a really fun game to be watching. Dean, I hope you're doing great. Thank you for running the night tonight. And Jack as well. I'll send it back. KK7 QES. AF4LL. AF4LL. AF4LL. Good afternoon from your in-depth interview with NYS. We've no further traffic coming in and out for the future. So much for coming in and I hope things go well for you over in the Philippines. And next we've got, we have Jeff, B6MB. Down in Bolivia, before I ended up, Jeff lives not too far from where I grew up. He lives over in Union City, which is about, oh, I don't know, he's on the other side of the, I grew up in Palo Alto. So he's about 10 or 15 miles from where I grow up. So I know his area. And then we're going to head over to you, Jeff. Okay, Dean, I'm going to preach to you host of the net. I said, you know, I can't miss this. I got to go support Dean there. I'm feeling great there. I wouldn't expect to go west. Yeah, here at San Francisco Bay Area, it was about, we got up in the mid-80s. It's a warm day and it's 78 degrees out there right now. But, you know, not a sunny day then. Yeah, just watching the Dodgers win the game and hopefully the Mariners are doing the same. I root for the Dodgers, so always good. The hometown team. Okay, great job to you, Dean. Keep up the good work, AB6MB. All right, Jeff, thanks a lot. I appreciate your check-in. And yes, the next and the last person on this list is AF4LL Bill from Arlington, Virginia. And before I hand it over to you, I always enjoy when you check in because I've heard you mention that your apartment or your home overlooks the Iwo Jima memorial. And my father used to live, like, there's no way you don't live like one or two buildings or maybe even in the same building. It was a 1200 North Nash Street in a building called Prospect House. So I know that area in the back of my hand. So, yeah, over to you, AF4LL. Well, good morning from Iwo Fort Historic, Arlington, Virginia. Yeah, that's about right. I'm very close to Iwo Jima, Fort Meyer, Arlington Cemetery. I'm seven floors up. I have a wonderful view of the area. I have a two meter station here and a ten meter station. I've worked a hundred and three hundred to a cycle with a hand stick and a strike to nine five five and a President Lincoln two plus. So intent on doing real well. I enjoy getting on that going here also, sir. And I've been on this net soup numerous times, as you have pointed out. And let me get your call to the log, please. I've been here many years ago. Hi. Hi. I love pretty much everything. So I'm glad to be here this morning. It's beautiful. It's going to be about 60 degrees by morning. And like I said, the view is tremendous. Coming and going right to Reagan National all the time to see the Pentagon, to see the Jefferson Memorial, to see the Kennedy Center. So I got a pretty good view here. And yeah, you seem like you know the area. Back to you, sir. Again, if I can get your name and your call for the log. This is AF4LL. This is repeater station Kilo, Kilo, and of course my whole son Kilo Gulls, Sadwin, Oscar, and my name is Dean. So yeah, again, always enjoy having you check in. And we'll hear you soon. So just before the rubber meets the road, I'm going to hand the mic over to Jack. KI7RMU over to you. G70D. Alright, the great round nicely played my friends. Fantastic. We'll see. That's what greatness can do right there. Alright, this is Jack KI7RMU. I'm going to read the announcement. That is one announcement. And that is for tomorrow, Sunday, August 10th, PSRG, Season 7, Episode 5, The Rain or Shine Net, and Ice Cream Social at Green Lake. We're in the lake and on our website to find out all the details. PSRG.org. It's a new net host by Kamri and Robert. You heard them here earlier. And we're celebrating summer and the recent marriage of Brooks and Megan. Megan has purchased some special tickets to get your ice cream treat at the Green Lake Cafe and stand right nearby. And boy do they have a lot to choose from. That place is well stocked. Alright, that is the announcement. We have lots more, but I just want to get to that one right there. Alright, this is Jack KI7RMU. This is the 9 o'clock net, 936P. Let's get some more check-ins. Come in. Call, sign, and name. 7, this is Fox 5 Bravo, Bill, A7WXC. Alright, I got Bill. Who is here? Station 7 was Bill. Come ahead. J, J7, RJL, Fermison. RJL, what else do we have? J, Alpha, E, Alpha 7, Lima, Romeo, Cody, and the 9-0. Sam, Paul, Bernal, Thank you, Cody, AG7, L.O. I think I heard Jim in there. Was that Jim? KI7, BZ. Well, I didn't say anything, but I did press the button. I can, I can simulcast. And yes, I heard everybody else that didn't say anything. But, yes, I am here, Jack. KI7, BZ. Well, I heard a K, and I knew it was you. That's how I knew that. That's interesting. Alright, well, we didn't say anything, but I don't know if I'm just, I'm hallucinating like Chad, HPT4. Chad, HPT5 apparently did lots of lists. Alright, Jim, I'm gonna put you on the list. Who else? Sam, 7, I'm going with our guest. Chris is calling 9-0. Hey, Steve, you're at the Los Angeles Home Station with the I.O. Come back, please leave your call, sign and name. Kilo, I'm an officer, Julia, Kilo, KSM and OJK, Chris is calling, I.O., good evening. Hey, Chris, nice to hear you. Thank you so much for your call, I.O. tonight. You have a good night and enjoy the rest of the weekend, KSM and OJK. Let's take one more station, please, for round three. K-3 is the low east. Alright, we got Rich in there. Yeah, so, Rich, you've been fishing. We'll explain that when we get to you. Alright, let's go back to Bill, K7WFB. Bill, did you co-host you tonight? What were you? I did co-host you, indeed. That is so good of you both for Rich and me since we're both out of town. Thank you so much, lovely to hear from all my Saturday night friends. I'm up here in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia on Vancouver Island with my wife for staying a week or so and just have a nice place on the shores of the Gulf of Brazil looking kind of northeast back into the interior. Very pretty. And talking about pretty, if you've got a window you can pump your head out, go look at the moon coming up, it's especially pretty tonight. My wife is just coming in the door telling me it's unbelievable. We had a great day today. There was a little airport up here we hadn't been to before. We found there was a restaurant there so we wanted to check it out and there were these four guys standing there and they were going skydiving the business where you're kind of two pros and you latch onto the, you know, they strap you to their belly, I guess it is. Their plane came up and they told us to go home so he zoomed off about a 15 minute drive to this field and watched them jump on the plane for the first time, the two guys for the first time from 10,000 feet. It was a great time. There were actually three of them all together, three college students, one from Japan, one from Germany, one from the United States, one from the United States. That's the whole axis, isn't it? I didn't realize that. Anyway, very nice kids and took some photos and videos. We're going to send them. Anyway, we had a lot of fun. Good fun day. Back to you Jack, and to you and Dean. Lovely talking to you. Good to see you. You organized your bill, thank you so much. Come ahead KJ7RJL. Just a quick question there Jack, how's my perception coming in because you guys are a little tired on my interest. I'm going to go to the airport tomorrow because of my transportation. Accessing isn't going to get me to vote on time or the posters coming back to place again. I'm going to take a seat and grab a t-shirt set for the transportation. I guess you can get three ice creams tomorrow because I was going to bring Chat with me. I was going to sell some of those tickets over there. Like I said, I probably only have 10 left. Where the amateur radio club and I do the polo shot in. I didn't want to be over there. Let me drop a sec. Yeah, well, seeing you there doing that and receiving back to when I was over there working and then seeing him talk with a few other people. I'm going to put vinyl records and everything and the colors and whatever, how big they were and how small they were and all the collections that he's got. Wow. Yes, I want to be very nice though. We have the spot at Green Lake where it is shady. Check that today. After dinner, we wrote on the cycle, I put lights on the cycle. I talked about that so we can be out now as sunset is getting sooner and sooner and sooner. We can be out after dark now because we now have bad lights. And then all the time, evening all night was the beautiful, beautiful moonrise tonight. This is the time of the year that the moon rises over the hills on the other side of the lake. It was absolutely spectacular tonight. And then we get to top it off with a nine o'clock. What a fantastic day. So anyway, back everybody from there on the East side. And hope you guys have a fantastic time tomorrow at the Rain or Shine. It's going to be all shine and a lot of ice cream. So anyway, back to Jack's Delties everybody. This is Jim and Tina, Tina Lake, K7. Good to see you, Zach. Alright, well Jim, thank you so much for checking in. Of course, enjoy your great Sunday out there, dear Lake. Hope you get a lot of skiing and it'll be a lot of fun. Alright, let's go talk to my neighbor now. N70WG Steve, we're going to hear you on a Saturday night. Go ahead. I'll often check in to the nine o'clock but a big thing's been happening here at 32nd Northeast. First off, I want to ask a question. Is anybody else experiencing the kind of a clipping of audio? It kind of reminds me of an imitation of it. So when you're talking and it sounds like this... It's breaking up the audio. I wonder if it's just smooth, the skin would hear or is it coming across to everyone. That's number one. Any comment on that, Jack? We're not imagining that it is real. We did not get a chance to restart the machine before the internet. I apologize but I would like to do that if we can. Maybe do a quick restart but I don't want to compromise the net at this point. So we're going to continue on but it doesn't sound that bad. It's not like Lloyd Bridges in Steak Hunt. But anyway, it is a little broken up but we're just going to continue. Go ahead, Steve. That's 7GWG, KI7RMU. KI7RMU and 7GWG. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I thought it might be one of the settings on the squelch, you know, clipping off to the signals at my end. The main thing here was that 48 hours ago we had a backup, a sewer backup in the house and we got some folks to come out and they said, We'll cut it for 99 bucks. I said, that's a deal, that's a deal. But of course, then they cambered the sewer line and said, if you want to get rid of this reoccurring problem with ruts and stuff, we can line the 35 foot of your sewer line and you'll never, never have to do anything again. And Donna and I looked at Donna and Donna looked at me and we went, Oh, jeez, that's another trip we can't afford now. But we bought it and these guys were on site within two hours, cutting the hole down to our sewer line and today they came back and they finished this super duper kind of a lining of the, they put this, this, this kind of phrase. A big condom in the line and it's with epoxy and they stuff another line that, that, that, they said, they ballooned and it forces the epoxy to the surface of the old line. And then thirdly, they stuffed this electrical lighting, the blue light, the blue light down there and it cures the epoxy and then they pull this all out and you're done for another 100 years. I'm not telling you how much it cost, but it was really interesting to see it done. And so that's, that's the last 48 hours of our house and 7 GWG. Alright Steve, yeah, that's a great process they have and so that way they don't have to bring in the ditch witch and dig up your yard and do all that and then, you know, charge you all that money. So it is somewhat easy, that's for sure. Well, you know, maybe you can go to Fife or something instead of Europe, I don't know, maybe some place like that, not too far away. Anyway, good to hear you and say hi to Don and say hi to the dozer and thank you so much Steve, good to hear you my friend. And of course Steve lives not too far from me, you're in Northern Seattle. Alright we're going to go and I'm going to acknowledge Chris with his check-in, KF70JK and TIO. We're going to go talk to the fisherman and he's going to have to explain that now, he just posted something a bit on the Facebook group. Rich, K30E, West Seattle, how are you? Well good evening Jack and everyone. Well, I haven't had any adventure like Steve had, that's for sure, thank goodness. But yeah, I'm fishing for singles this evening. I got the old fishing net out and, you know, I just a few screws and a couple of clamps so I can attach the cable and by golly, the SWR is good and it's working great. So I get right about that, that's for sure. Anyway, first up, well, got a little quilt project done, let's see, tomorrow I'm going to bring some stuff that you might want to take along to at least a few things along to donate so I'll have those and yeah, so anyway looking forward to ice cream. Back to you K2E. Alrighty now, alright, well do you think you might have to share some with Pueblo too or possibly risk losing a kneecap? Entirely possible Jack, oh my goodness, I don't know if the place there has pumped guts but we'll find out. In any case, he will be along and I've heard, the rumor has it there's going to be a lot of huffs tomorrow. Back to you K3O8. Yeah, that's for sure, and Green Lake was packed today and they do have a water bowl outside for dollars at the Green Lake Cafe which is really nice of them, they're a great group. Alright, well thank you Mitch, have a good evening, you get some sleep too and stay out of Pueblo for us and we'll talk to you soon. Let's get it over now to Dean, KG70DB with round 14. Take it away please. Thank you Jack, I gotta tell ya, I think the full moon is bringing them out tonight. So anyway this is Dean, KG70DB and we're going to go to round 4. Call sign and name. KG772I miss. We've got Matt with a recheck. Four stations please. November 3rd, I'm in my box please. November 3rd, I'm in my box please. I'm in my box please. I'm in my box please. I got the other half of my monster project set to go. I just now have to wait for maybe a few days before I start trying to slip it out the window and see how it works. So, in compliments to KJ7RJ, I now have it put together, and now I'm sometimes in a couple of days or so going to try it out. So we'll see how it goes, because I had to wait for an extra part to come in to put it together with the right things so it will work. So that's going to go on the HF radio. So we'll see what happens, and hopefully no one notices. But otherwise, I am doing great. According to KJ7RJL, I haven't been on enough lately, so now that I've managed to figure out how to shove my radio equipment onto the desk as well, yikes, I can now get on more often and reach it a little bit more than where I had it. Otherwise, doing great. My apartment is still a roasting box, and so I'm running the fan in order to help keep me cool and my equipment cool at the same time. What other kind of mischief can I get into? Easy, coffee. Problem, I didn't put sugar in it, just milk. Yikes, that's scary. But otherwise, having a good time. Hope you're all doing great out there. This is a midday net to see who's out there listening and to see if any of you would like to let us know what's happening with you. If you'd like to give a report or an I.O., all I do need is your name and call sign. So again, this is Jack, KI7RMU. Let's get the new net started now. Come ahead with your call sign and name. I'm sitting here calm and relaxed and enjoying all this wonderful weird thing called peace and quiet. That's actually pretty good. And I thought I'd pop onto the radio tonight and see what everybody was doing and here we are once again a net yay. Also with the desk loft I'm trying to attempt to put together I've managed to identify a couple more parts. Now I have to figure out tomorrow how to put the first parts of it together and apparently it's a two-person thing but I'm going to give what I can a try and well if all else fails I could wait till near the weekend and maybe somebody who's bored might give me a hand but otherwise I'm staying out of mischief if I can manage that one. Haven't heard from KJ7RJL today so I'm sure he's doing something wonderfully interesting and I am just sitting here because I can and I'm having a nice warm cup of tea with a little tiny bit of milk. It's chai so hey gotta have it. I tried that for tonight instead of coffee so went that route but it's just as good. It is a great Thursday. I went to the doctors this morning and might get some relief from the pharmacy for this four-week fracture and I went to my humerus bone in my right shoulder that wasn't very humerus. I tripped up two steps and landed on the floor about a month ago today. So I've been trying to take care of that. I went to some multi-care place and found out that wasn't the best thing in the world, but I know where not to go. Anyway, we're doing alright now. We're waiting for things to show up at the house. Possibly might have a room for rent. Let's see what else we've got going on. I've got lazy boy coming to check the couch today. Lots of little things here and there. Let me drop. Anyway, breakfast on Saturday, 19th hole, Bar and Grill, West Birmingham. We social for our Kitsap Amateur Radio Club breakfast as a social, but I've got ten tickets to sell. Hopefully I will be there early in the morning. It's 8.30 to 10.30 if anybody wants to come eat. We're working on that this Saturday. Anyway, I do have one for Rebecca if she's even listening. Did you hear about the cows that started the metal van? They're called Shredded Beef. Although I was tempted to open a window today, try to get some fresh air in here, it wasn't very fresh. I ended up shutting that window once again because it smelled a lot like smoke, so I didn't want it creeping in here. And so I didn't really go out too much today because of the air quality the way it's been. At least it's not as thick as it was yesterday. Yesterday it was pretty orange. But at least it's starting to kind of thin out, but I'm sure we're not done yet because these fires and stuff, they take time to either A, corrupt or B, to burn out. So I guess all we can do is cross our fingers as to what kind of mission I didn't get into, which was none by the way. I did, however, get a nice message from KJ7RJL. He's apparently doing fine, both him and Kat and Critters. And of course I ended up getting asked, what did I do to the air quality? And I told him, well it has nothing to do with me, maybe it's a big Cheech and Chong event. For those of you who don't know who Cheech and Chong is, ask your parents. Otherwise, I got picked on a little bit, but you know, I threw the picking back. And we had a good time of it. I think Kat got a little bit out of it and asked him to eat his dinner. So we both had a good time talking to each other today via text. And so that was good. So they're doing fine, although they need to get on the radio more often. But you know, given time they probably will. Anyways, that's my report. I just wanted to come in and say hi. Hope everybody got a chuckle. KJ7RJL, back to net and no mischief."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-22T21:25:08+00:00","id":44811,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":44810,"text":" Okay, I guess I can cause that kind of mischief. Yes, folks, I didn't do any mischief today until I got on the air. Um, I relaxed for today. I enjoyed all this wonderful sunshine we had for today. I even got out for a little bit to just smell the fresh air. Well, minus traffic. Um, trying not to get run over as I was going to where I was going. Coming back, same routine. Trying not to end up down the hill instead of trying to reach the curb gut. Um, otherwise, um, that was pretty much the gist of my day. However, the loft desk that Joan has mentioned is put together for the most part. Except that I still have the two top ends, head and foot area, to switch around when I get the other screw that has stripped itself to death. Um, get that removed and put another one in after I get that one out, I'll switch those two ends around because they're not in the right position. And then, um, then I can say it's structurally, fully sound up there and I don't have to worry about structural integrity and having it collapse. Uh, which I don't want, by the way. Um, for any kind of building project or as big as this thing is, um, that is a must have structural integrity. Uh, otherwise, what kind of other mischief did I cause today? Well, I did get a chance to talk to KJ7RJL via text earlier and he asked me to IOW him. I did. I said, he's chasing dinner, which he was. He said he ate all his vegetables. Isn't that great? Other than that, um, um, I had a good day. I know he is. I know Kat is. And the critters. And, um, everybody seems to be doing fine. So, at least I know he is alive and doing well. And I am still alive and in one piece and I didn't get run over today. Wow. And I didn't cause any mischief downtown? Shocking. Anyway, that's the scoop. I just hope that my management does something about my neighbor, because... Wow. At least he's being quiet for now. But, uh... I, um... I feel her pain because I'm getting calls left and right because, uh, my management somehow managed to have my number out all over the place. So, I'm going to be getting on their case next week because of that. In the meantime, um, some suggestions that have been brought up to my attention, I have pulled. And I got a couple angry calls back because of it. And I said, not my problem. So, uh, yeah, it gets kind of creepy when I'm mentioning homicide. Why are you calling? Yeah, so I'm sending the police their business their way. Because, yeah, unintentionally getting calls that I don't want. Or I'm playing, um, voices that generally aren't mine. I am a vampire. Can you leave your message and your blood type? Yeah, that really freaks them out. But, uh, you know, seriously, I am getting tired of the prank calls, though. And I'm getting to the point where I might have to change the number. But, uh, hopefully I don't. Because KJ7RJL usually tells me, you changed your number like you changed your socks. So, I said, no, I haven't done it for a while. So, yeah, um, he brings it up. But, um, I have to admit that when creditors or telemarketers get a hold of your number, they are a pain in the butt to get rid of. But, uh, keep it up, Tammy. I'm sure you can solve your problem before too long. I am trying to do the same. But, uh, otherwise, it's a nice day. Well, cloudy but nice. And the trees are super orange red. I just want to make sure I have the basic, general idea of what I'm getting myself into before I jump in and take the actual general test. So I'll get there eventually. Otherwise, yeah, I'll snoop here. Sometimes I'll go over to Gold and just listen there and the guys are happy I'm back over there so that's cool. So I'd pop in over there on occasion and drive a KJ7RJL up a wall for a little bit and then take off and yeah then he's content. But yeah I'm learning new things all the time and right now I'm having fun with this mesh core device. I'm impressed with it when I tried to do a misstatic device before I couldn't really get it but this it's a lot easier so I'm having fun with that but I took it with me over to where KJ7RJL was and it drove him up a wall so now I put a new notification to it so it'll sound a little better but I'm pretty sure he'll tell me What the heck is that? But at any rate, Sean, what are you thinking? Well, I'm thinking how to make a wall out of this thing that I've got on my desk that drove KJ7RJL off a wall with, because it was going off over his place.
