Cami here, KJ7RAB. It's nice to hear you this evening and that guy Rick. It was good to hear from him too. It was a really nice day. I'm thankful for the cooler weather. We took the trailer in to have it looked at and then drove up to Anacortes to hang out with the Lyman Hill repeater folks. It was their annual picnic of sorts get together. They're just a really lovely group of people. And one of the folks in attendance is part of their boaters net. And he showed up with a cooler full of crap that he just so happened to catch yesterday. And even sent us home with some extra. And so that was a completely unexpected treat. And then one of the folks in attendance always makes handmade chocolates. And so we got to eat some of those too. And then made our way back home. I got to drive because my truck is fixed now. Thank you Robert. I did a ton of work on it. It doesn't leak anymore and it has loads of new lights on there, I just need to get the stickers on the Switch Pro so I know which switch goes to which light because there's so many of them now. I can't keep track of all of them. There was something else I was gonna mention. I can't look at that and talk at the same time. He's trying to make me laugh and show me funny things on his Facebook scroll. Yeah and I completely lost my train of thought. I can't remember what it was I was gonna see. And I will inevitably remember the nanosecond that I empty. Oh, I remembered it before I emptied. It's the freeze dried candy and I think Magoo was talking about that. It's a thing Bill, it's a thing. Freeze dried candy. I discovered that at one of the carnivals or fairs that Robert took me to a couple of years ago and it's everywhere now. So yeah, if you're so inclined, give it a try. Not really my thing. I'm all about the chocolate. Not only am I mobile with JXM, I'm driving. So excited that my rig is back up and running. It's been under a tarp for quite some time now because it had a pretty bad leak. But this last, I don't know, week and a half, I would say Robert has been doing a ton of work on it. He had the headliner ripped out. And he re-did some of the bolts on the roof rack, and the light bar, and the pillar lights, and the light on the rear, and fog lights. I've got lights galore. And we tested them out last night because the houses across the street are vacant. And he pressured me against standing in front of the rig. You know, I just... I mean, you know, it turns out a juvenile... Rob American Rabbit sounds a lot like a juvenile song girl, or a juvenile, uh, junko, dark-eyed junko, or... Yeah, it's, uh... Yeah, like... And, oh yeah, Bardall sounds like a long, open-willed night, and then it swings up at the end of it. I found that on the, uh, uh, Berlin website. Just kind of went through the calls for Bardall and found that. American Robin that just kind of identified it in a Canada goose. I heard, I don't know, I haven't heard a goose here ever. And I've only heard and seen a heron, and there's a Blue Heron Rookery, largest in the state, right here, about half a mile, quarter mile long from me. And yet, I've only seen a pair and heard them overhead once. They fly about a half a block apart, or a short block apart, and honk at each other, alternating. Felt like a goose on Drano. Anyways, back to the net, and birds are fun and interesting, and we'll talk more later. GZ 7VU. Good night, y'all. Good night, Mike. And, um, yes, we had a Bardall. Our camp in the Upper Peninsula was within a certain Bardall range, and I did a great recording of them. I called out to it, and it got very territorial, and very frighteningly, honing back at me. And I got it in high-fidelity stereo. At 320 kilobits per second, field recording. And, uh, but I have no idea where that recording is. I hope I haven't lost it. And, uh, my favorite Upper Peninsula bird sound are the downhill cranes. They sound like dinosaurs. Anyway, at least in my limited understanding of reality, it seems to me that's what dinosaurs would sound like. Alright, so I'm going to read some announcements that are custom-made for me every week by Jack right here at Saturday, July 26th. Radio Club of Tacoma hosts their open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Club members and their guests, hams, and all visitors interested in amateur radio. Uh, it's good, folks. I've been to, uh, one or two of them, and they're really nice get-togethers. Also Saturday, 26th, PSRG Annual Picnic at Magnolia Park. The sign-up sheet is live at PSRG.org. I'm looking at a message that just crossed Saturday. Also July 26th, a Simplex net, which is now at 146.56 MHz, um, is at 20 hours on Saturday. So be there or be square. PSRG Season 7 Episode 4 and 5 Rain or Shine Noon net at Ice Cream Social Sunday, August 10th. And that is going to be the east side of Green Lake, just north of the paddle boat rentals and Green Lake Cafe concession stand. It'll be hosted as a new net by Kami, KJ7RAB, and Robert, Robert, KJ7JXM, and stop by the net tables and pick up your ice cream ticket. Yes, that's right. Everyone will be able to get a complimentary ice cream. Redeem your ticket at the Green Lake Cafe concession stand across from the paddle boats. Come back and hang out with your ham friends, walk around Green Lake, take a bike ride or rent a boat. Ham's in 3D and ice cream. What to bring? And that's kind of the goal, I guess. When you're out on the trails, you wanna be able to see where you're driving. So I've got a 30 inch light bar on the roof rack. I've got ditch lights on the pillars, so you can see over on the ditch. I've got cannons on the front. I just love that they're called cannons. Those are so you can see further ahead. And then I've got some fog lights in the bumper. So I'll be able to see when it's really foggy out. And then there's, what did you call that light on the back? That's the one I switched from. I know, but what is it? It's a safety director. A safety, traffic safety director light on the back. That's not wired up yet, but that's gonna be for use when we're volunteering at the rally. And then there's more stuff to install yet, so stay tuned. Thanks for asking though. KJ7RAB, back to you. Well, that is so cool. Yeah, like I say, I live under a rock, so I do not know about any of these things. You have opened my eyes to the world of night in the wilderness, I guess. That's wonderful. I'm not sure what happened there, but your signal was barely, barely hitting the Capital Park Master, and we literally heard probably the cumulative total of half a second of, I could hear your voice just barely blipping in like three different times. Other than that, we did not catch any of your report. So let me just right away see if you dumped power or see if there's something you can change in your situation and see if I can get you to do a quick test real quick. KA9EHV, please come back if you can. This is KA9EHV, is this better? You might end a different, you're lighting up the voter scope in bright green. So okay, so I will just say this, can you repeat everything you just said? Because we literally got zero percent. So Anne, please give us a report. Okay, I stand humiliated. This is KA9EHV, what I said is I went to a harp circle today and it was great fun, there were lots of neat people and neat harps there, and people played a lot of interesting repertoire. It wasn't like the last circle where everybody else played beautiful Celtic, very ornamented stuff. And I came in with It's Too Late by Carole King and Cats of the Cradle by Harry Chapin. This time people played everything from Broadway show tunes to some popular stuff and it was really nice. And so I ended up playing Yeasen Joann of Man's Desiring, my Beethoven mashup, and hang on a second. Okay, I'm still in there. My Beethoven mashup is a little bit different. My Beethoven mashup and my When You Walk Through a Storm from Carousel. So it was fun and I got to show off my cute little harp to people and prove that small harps are small but mighty and that was fine. Had to miss church, but apparently according to my husband I didn't miss much, so that's fine also. Anyway, that's about it for now. 73, 33, 88 to all of you. This is, I love you all and thanks, Brian, to you for doing the net. This is KA9H, be back to net. Good stuff and good signal there. So it sounds like maybe you bumped the power or something was going on there. All right, well very glad that you're okay as you're able to come in and give a lovely report there. So it sounds fun with that harp circle, Broadway tunes and pop music, that sounds fantastic. And then you with your Izu and your Beethoven mashup and small but mighty I wrote down. And then I wrote the quote from your husband, didn't miss much. All right, I just chuckled at that. All right, anyway, it sounds like a great day and thank you for sharing. We'll catch you down the log there, Ann. All right, that was the bottom of the list there. I am Brian, KE7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock net on the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. All right, I think I may have actually had a triple there, but I did get W7LCO, Josh, Willco. I also got KJ7JXM, Robert, and KJ7RAB, Kimmy. Now let me just check, was there a third station, or fourth, if you say, was there another station in that mix that I did not acknowledge? Yeah, probably me, I might have been in that pileup. Wolf. All right, I heard a K, and then I heard Sean, KJ7EXM. Sean Wolf. Who was the other K station that keyed up? KJ7, with Lueckenia, Matt, Liven, RF, All-Star Note 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. Matt is back in RF land. I love it, KJ7WQI. All right, good stuff. All right, so I actually have you right before Sean, because I did hear your key up first there, and I already wrote a K. All right, so let's see who else is out, who would like to get in on this round. Please come now, call sign and first name. Kilo Alpha, Joseph Romeo Alpha, Cody, your IO. All right, KE6RAX, Peter, I've got your IO. Cody, just wanted to double check, Alpha, Golf 7, Lima, Rodeo, did you say IO, or do you have a report tonight? I am IO, KJ7LR. Hey, good stuff. Remember, there's a double, I try to confirm. Every time I don't confirm that, it bites me. All right, good stuff, Cody. We'll catch you down the log, and thanks for stopping by, Peter, KK6RAX. All right, anyone else who'd like to get in on this round, please come now, call sign and first name."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-07-20T21:32:30+00:00","id":8917,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":8916,"text":" I'm in trouble. This is JJ7JXM Robert and I don't have a good one. I am up past my bedtime. I need to be up at 5.30 in the morning. I am finishing my little glass of whiskey here. I was watching some Mr. Robot and then the net started. So I figured I might as well get checked into the net. And then I love how you always do the IO rounds and the low power rounds. Since I've got the ICs, they'll go 100 cranked up to max. I couldn't justify keying up into the low power round even though I wanted to. Do I ever still want to sometime? I gotta be honest. That's what I gotta do. Anyway, I'm happy. I'm here rocking and rolling. I am extremely nervous yet extremely excited about going to work tomorrow. I don't know why I'm nervous because they recruited me. They reached out and asked me to come work for them. So I got nothing to be nervous about. Oddly enough, I had another job offer come across my messages today too. There's a local stereo shop here in town. Well not in Arlington but in Marysville. One of my friends requested that they're looking for a master installer and alarm specialist. I know I'm not trying to brag and I know it sounds that way but I am definitely blessed in the aspect that I've worked very hard over the last 20 years to make myself known in the community for my skill set. And I honestly didn't think I would get so much responses back. So I'm patting myself on the back. I am very blessed. I am very happy. And I have nothing to be nervous about tomorrow. I think it's just a change in pace. It's a change in life. And I always look at the worst. I always fear the worst. And I've had so many of my amazing friends and family around me to tell me, You're got this. They wanted you. You didn't pester them. They came to you. So I've got my amazing better half here that's been doing so much to try to keep me in a positive mood and help me through this time of stress when I really shouldn't be stressed. So I am a very blessed man. I am very thankful for everything I do have and thankful for those folks around me. I'm extremely thankful for both the PSRG group and my Lyman Hill family. They are two amazing groups of people that just are... I can't express enough how thankful I am to knowing all of the folks on those groups. So thank you all for what you do for me. I very much appreciate every single one of you. And I hope everyone has a fantastic week ahead. This is KJ7KXM. I'm going to go to bed now. Back to you, my friend. Hey, good stuff there, Robert. Well, you know the rules. You gotta go find the biggest dude there is there and punch him right in the face. I joke. I joke. I joke. Hey, definitely good luck at the new job and stuff. And you totally got this. And I think that's a great attitude. They wanted you. Nothing to be nervous about. But you know, it's always like, where do I park? Where do I do this? I don't know. I always worry about those little things. But I think you've got this, though. And I love that. Like when it rains, it pours. There's something to be said about just having that reputation. And yeah, when you need that, there's people just ready to vouch for you. And yeah, it's a great feeling to have there. So hey, good luck. Definitely report back on it. And you get some sleep there tonight if you can. All right, Robert, thanks for that. And pass it over to Cammie, KJ7RAB. How are you, Cammie? Please give us your report. Well, good evening to you, Brian, and everyone out there on the net. Cammie here, KJ7RAB. You got us good on that one. We were both cracking up. That's hilarious. And what great advice for the first day. Oh, I'm dying. Yeah, he's been all angsty all weekend. And I've been trying to convince him that he's going to do amazing. And he knows that he will. But he's still being all angsty and everything. And so after tomorrow, when he sees that he does amazing, hopefully it will be better. Hi, hi. But yeah. It was a really good weekend. We did the Lyman Hill picnic up in Anacortes. And they're just a lovely group of people. And it was really nice to see them. And they're so welcoming. And then we have the PSRC picnic coming up. And another lovely group of people that are very welcoming. In between that I've got a brutal week of work. This is computer station Kilo 7, November, Quebec, November. All-star No. 1622. Oh, he hit up a thrift store. I know. We never do that. And I found an amazing set of vintage enamel cookware. And it looks like it's never even been used. Except for one of the pots. Looks like it may have been lightly used. And there's one, two, three, four pieces. Three of them have lids. The one that looks like it's been lightly used doesn't have a lid. And then the biggest pot has a broken handle. But other than that, they pretty much look brand new. And I might have paid $25 for the whole set. So I'm pretty thrilled. I got them with the intent of reselling them. But once I've got them cleaned and they look so pretty in the kitchen, they might want to just stay here. So we'll see what happens. Robert's giving me the look. So don't tell him. I guess he just heard that though. That's about all I've got for now. Thank you so much for hosting. And thanks for the great first day of work. Nice. I'm still laughing about that. Thanks for getting us in. And thanks for everything that you do. Have a great Sunday night and have a great week next week. Payday 7RAB. Back to neck control. Hey, good stuff. Well, those ceramic, what did you say? No, vintage enamel cookware. That does sound fantastic there. Robert giving you the look. That's making me chuckle there. All right. Anyway, I hope your week of work is not too brutal and a good work consoling Robert there. He'll do great tomorrow there. So thanks for that, Cami. I, both of you will catch you down the log and have a great week coming up here. All right. I am Brian. K e 7 K is at each decision. Next up, we've got Matt in RF land. KJ7. How are you tonight? Please give us a report."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-07-26T22:26:52+00:00","id":11038,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":11037,"text":" KJ7RAB returning. I apologize, I just, well, Robert just turned the radio on. We're mobile, we're on 100 Avenue Northeast. I just looked at the street sign there. We haven't even made it home yet. We stayed for quite some time at the picnic. It was an amazing event, as it always is. It's great to see everyone, and as is usually the case, there are so many people there, and folks that, you know, I'd love to have an opportunity to spend time talking to everyone, and inevitably, you know, there's just not enough time in the day to do so. So I was grateful to have the opportunity to talk to the people that I did talk to. I had to see a lot of folks, I took a lot of pictures, and eat way too much food. Afterwards, we, oh, I need to say hello to Jack, KJ7RMU, and thank you so much, Jack. It was really good to see Jack at the picnic today. I mentioned Jack's name, well, four times now, so there you go. It's a joke that he made today, so I just had to make sure to mention Jack's name at least three times during my check-in. So thank you, Jack, for everything that you do. It was really nice to see you, and I appreciate you. Oh, those lights are really bright. Afterwards, we went to an art gallery down in Belltown, not realizing that today is the Torchlight Parade, and Robert, who is always a saint, is extra today, because he drove me all the way down to Belltown with the Torchlight Parade happening, so I could go to the art gallery and see the show, because today was the very last day of the show, and it was well worth the trip.
