We see that vendor quite often. He always has a really interesting shirt on. The one that stands out to me is he had a Taco Cat shirt on and he's generally spinning vinyl at the swap meet, whatever swap meet we're at. He's good at drawing people over to his face because he sells a lot of stuff. He's a really interesting guy. Got that on the list. If you find a good hat place, let me know. You know what, that's the end of that page so I'm going to go ahead and draw a line. Let's head back up to the top of this list and hear from Justin. KK7 Kilo Echo Sierra. I can't read my writing. Tell me if I miswrote it. Over to you Justin. Well hey Kami, this is Justin. KK7 Quebec Echo Sierra. Thank you for writing that out tonight. I hope Paul is well out there. You're doing a wonderful job and thoroughly enjoying all the check-ins. And by the way, I also very much enjoy the Pyrex anecdotes. For what it's worth, I've had both the borosilicate and the soda glass versions. Neither have exploded on me but I think it's one of those things that people get fanatical about. Maybe not fanatical but people say always just splurge for the Pyrex stuff and don't get cheaper borosilicate glass cookware. Because sometimes it does explode apparently. Anyway, pretty mellow evening over here. Tonight was the national night out and some of our neighbors hosted a big get together which was pretty well attended. So that was kind of fun and got to meet some new neighbors that we hadn't met before. And it was pretty cool to see there was about six Kirkland police cars and officers there in a fire truck just parked in the neighborhood as we were walking down. I knew that we were expecting at least one Kirkland police officer. I did not realize they were sending a whole crew so it was pretty cool. The kids loved getting tours of the vehicles and we got to meet our new interim police chief so that was kind of cool. And then after about an hour and a half or so they packed up and got out of there and they were headed to their next neighborhood to go visit. So that was kind of cool making those connections. After that we had some neighbors over to our backyard because they just got a new dog and our dog loves to play and loves to make new friends. So they kind of ran around and went nuts in the backyard together and we all laughed and just hung out. Then I finished watching the Marrier's game a few minutes ago and that's been my night. It's been really just a wonderful mellow Tuesday night. Alright I hope everyone's well out there. Cami thanks again for running the nets. I'll send it back to you. Well that sounds like a really lovely evening. Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I quickly looked up National Night Out and I've seen stuff around posted about it and I just didn't really know that much about it. It says that it's an annual community building campaign held on the first Tuesday of August to promote police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. It encourages neighbors to get to know each other and their local law enforcement, fostering a stronger sense of community and promoting safety. So that's pretty cool. I'm glad that you were able to participate in that. It sounds like your law enforcement folks did as well. That's awesome. I'll have to put that on my calendar and make sure and participate next year. So thanks for sharing that with us. You take care and have a great rest of your night, all the numbers. Next up we have Joan here from C.W. Joan it's too late for coffee but I've got a liquid ID that I'm drinking at Blackberry Peach Flavor. I'm posting it in your direction. Cheers Governor. How's your evening? Cheers Governor. That's just a little bottle of something. I suppose I should take a token some of it. Just the tiniest. There, I think it was a nip. Anyway, there are a few cop cars blocking the pike path. So then the bicyclist is coming down where they're supposed to go. In the traffic. Oh, they stuck past. There we go. Good. Here comes another bicycle. Also sneaking past the dual police cars. I wonder what's up down there. You know, I almost don't even wonder anymore. Although my duty is to be an observer, my Star Trek cosplay is that I am an archaeologist. There's also my favorite Martian. Remember the Martian was an archaeologist studying Earth. But I have this idea that my fantasy is I've just been sent to the early 21st century to document. I'm a documentarian and I'm documenting the downfall. You know, which led to the, well, I'll just won't go into it. People are familiar with the Star Trek world building. No, that the 21st century was a bad time. Anyway, but besides that, I got on my bicycle today and I rode all the way to the credit union, the BECU credit union, and realized I did not have my debit card. And I just wanted to, you know, check my balance and stuff. So I did, oh yeah, I stopped at the, I checked my mail at the post office and I stopped by the farmer's market and bought some beans, bought two pounds of bean cherries. I love them. This is a really dark red one. And I didn't need to go grocery shopping because I had done that yesterday. But I did go back. I came home and got my debit card and went back. And all I wanted to do was check my transactions. And the last 10 transactions showed me enough for me to feel confident. So I asked to see my last month and they printed it out for me. And it all was in order. And on the way back home, I stopped at Dick's and got some fries and a chocolate shake and then hung out a lot with my friends. And my favorite measuring cup, Cami, is the old capital letter Pyrex measuring cup. But I also have three lowercase, newer Pyrex bowls. I could tell more, but I'll stop. KX2CW, Joan and Broadway, back to that. Joan, I always love hearing about your adventures, Joan. And I can totally relate to getting where you need to go and realizing you forgot the thing that you needed to bring. I do that far more than I care to admit. And I'm just picturing you riding your bike around all of those places down to the market and over to Dick's to get some fries, especially on a beautiful day like today. You keep up the good work documenting. I know that you are a documentarian and that you do a fine job of documenting everything. And not just know what's going on up there on Capitol Hill. Thank you for checking in and thank you for documenting all of this. You take care, 33, and all of the numbers. Oh, and I have a small Pyrex measuring cup too, but I cracked it and I can't bear to get rid of it. So it's just to look at now and not to use. So I'm on the lookout for another one. Have a great rest of your night. Next up we have Peter. How are you doing, Peter? I am a little on the tired side. I was out getting a few things done today, but I need to get some rest. So we have Radio Wave Wednesday tomorrow. And then on Saturday we have Cake, coffee assisted knowledge exchange. So coffee, ham, ham, and the weather's been nice. And we usually get 10 to 15 people show up. So it's always really interesting. And the idea is to go home with some more knowledge. So those are the big events for this week besides all the daily check-ins and nuts going on. Back to you, GE6RAF. Question for you, Peter. I heard you talk about your group before, the Cake group coffee assisted knowledge exchange. And I was curious, the knowledge that you're exchanging, is it mainly radio? Or are you exchanging knowledge on any particular topics? Or is it just really whatever topic people are curious about? Or what's your opinion on that? Basically it's for hams that still work Monday to Friday. And more technical stuff. So it's basically ham related. But other things come up too. Sometimes politics, weather, trips, computer stuff. But basically a ham oriented. Well that makes sense. Thanks for coming back with that. Yeah, I was just curious. It seems as though it's mainly ham radio. But it seems like other topics might come up from time to time as well. Even if you've got that topic of mainly ham radio. Will you take care, Peter? Thanks so much for sharing that. And I hope you have a fantastic Cake meeting and exchange lots of knowledge. 73 to you and all the numbers. Next up we have Mike, KJ7BEU. How are you doing Mike? I'm doing fine. I'm doing fine. I plugged it in and charged and I felt it pulsing and moving late instead of coming on like the other one was. I pulled the bottom off the dust screw and put the battery in the controller for it. And I still have the batteries between the two of them plugged in. The wires over there were being worn on the floor. And it's a battery. It's got a shorter battery so the controller is just you know in protection. I took it home. I've already told you I'll just give you a .8 volt battery. You can put the battery in the note on there. And it's a church. So let's see what else. I voted gay. It took me half an hour to drive there. And as far as the shape, yeah that was my thing. The shape or whatever. Actually I had the wearing one linen suit. I had the hips on clean and a drop for a moment. And I had a chocolate on a chocolate chip sundae. It's good. Actually those are pretty good. Those are pretty good. So that and a cheeseburger on clean and it's like 5th of July. And pretty decent. And it was a night there was a bunch of college graduation stuff. And about half dozen twenty something sat next to me. That was great. I got to ask him if I had, I said I was afraid of looking down at my linen coat, jacket regarding my hot fudge sundae. Was it clean? I was afraid of looking down. Yeah he told me it was good. I like to give a few conversations with everybody, especially women. Redheads are fun. Hey you're a redhead too. Hey you have a good night. Coffee Assistant Knowledge Exchange. We'll see about that. Good night."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-18T21:49:56+00:00","id":19058,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":19057,"text":" And that's the end of the middle round. Today would have been a perfect day for it too. It was sunny but not too hot, which is a good temperature to get out there and tackle the car cleaning. Good on you, Rebecca, for getting that between the five-year-old, the dog, you. Yeah, it doesn't take long to get dirty and they just get dusty just driving around and that kind of stuff. So good on you for getting out there and doing that. You added some couple new stickers. That's always fun too. That's always a fun treat. And I'm glad you got to talk to your friend for three hours. Isn't that super fun? I love doing that. I have a friend in Texas, very similar thing. He's got a three-year-old and same thing, very busy. We'll talk to you again soon. All right, it is 909 p.m. I'm K9MLR at Megan and now we're going to go talk to Mike, KJ7BEU. How's it going, Mike? Can I go to Rebecca? Everybody else out there. And we're about going on into the same thing in my kitchen floor. And here I'll pot 28 beers and Carmen's out in the corner. There's Katrina still around and so there's an espresso corner which has coffee stains and hasn't had a deep corner clean. And then the refrigerator on the other side has a drain, defrosted water all over the floor. Next to the, underneath the cutting board and the silverware drawer and everything. So when food or meat or cheese drops there, guess who wants to walk over and drink, eat the stuff out of the gross water. So yeah, I'll just throw down a towel and start mopping with my foot and leave it for later after I eat. Yeah, it's a nice way to go in the kitchen floor, I guess. Because if you start, if you clean it, you're going to just have to do it all over again. Like Joseph said about her house, I think it was every year she had to get it all over again. Back to the net and oh yeah, I got to check UHF north, northwest of me. UHF, UHF. Okay, it's very quiet and periodic, just look at the sign. And I get great reception south, southeast and northwest.
