I made a vertical antenna. It was over 25 years ago and it was a resident on 15, back years ago when it was open. And so, anyway, I decided to try the other coils and, of course, I found out that I need to replace those coils I made. So I can keep that one for 15. So I need to just get some more PVC now that I've got more of an understanding of what to do. Because it's just fine. But when did I drop? But also, I've made a, I'll tell you, I made that infed halfway for portable use, too. And I had that out of my deck going to a tree and I was like, you know, I've done everything. All the trimming I can do, bro, you know, is the best of yours. I just can't get it. I've adjusted it and back up in there. And then it hit me. I wonder if I'm getting some RF or something back. So I ended up putting three toroids on the coaxial cable and then put a BNC on the end of it as well. And, you know, a different adapter that goes right onto the antenna because the antenna, the 491 valve has a BNC. And guess what? Now the SWR is as fantastic as it's low like it should be in those areas of the band. I'm 40, 20, 15, and 10. And so, tickled to death about it. I didn't have to end up using, you know, a doorknob capacitor or anything on the wire to get it down. So, anyway, I had some fun doing that yesterday. And I might go back out, too. But anyway, it was just really nice, man. Just a great weekend. I've got a birthday coming up here in a couple of days and I'll have another turn around of coils.
