It was a law made in 1973. The law permits the President to take temporary action to the district of Columbia. The law permits the President to take temporary control of D.C. of the police department during emergencies for up to 30 days. In the past 30 days, Congress has to approve any hand-appointed national armed troops reporting to law. Because unlike the states, D.C. is not a state, it's a district. It's really congressionally controlled, quite supposedly. So the D.C. National Guard is actually under exclusive presidential authority. So it's a little tricky though because the Home Rule Act does allow local self-governance. So the law allows D.C. to govern itself, but it retains congressional oversight. And in emergencies or presidential oversight, they can't be taken over. The mostly comatose act, I can't say that word right, and the Indirection Act actually restricts using the troops for domestic law enforcement. But the D.C. Guard is in a unique status, legally speaking. So it isn't automatically bound by that act in the same way. That's how they can call up the national armed troops in D.C. anytime they need to. I mean, they did it after Jay Diggs, you know, there's just lots of things. This is going to be a core battle. Again, it's a presidential authority thing. We just upgraded all of our phones in the last six months or so. The deal we have is, all together it's around $400. I get a pretty good discount for being a veteran through AT&T. My wife and I have our phones. The S-25 Wolfger and my wife has a 16 Max Pro. We also both have tablets on our plan. The kids pay for their phones, whatever they want, whatever they get, they pay for their own phone lines and everything. If they screw me out of that, they get off my plan and from that point on they're unknown. It works out pretty well for us. Danielle and I also pay, we started it this last year, but we pay that extra amount so if we want to upgrade our phones whenever we want to we can.
