We should show that we're in the Snohomish area there at the Cuyman Farm. So yeah, we've got KJ7RAB-9 is the current beacon that we're running here, and I think I forgot to update the gate in this door because we're in Elorgen, but the next time it beacons out it should change to be used on the TSRG Rainer sign, which is a Rainer sign, but hey, I want to promote it and let folks know where we are. So it's a whole lot of fun, I love APRS, and one of my favorite things to do with it is to use Windlink to push the Windlink up to your man in your beacon, and it will let you know if you have any Windlink mail messages pending. So you get a little back-to-back that says, you've got mail for your kind of fun, because you don't mind if we go to the mail real quick. So thanks for that, very much appreciate you stopping by, and hope you have a great rest of your day. Next up we've got Mike, this is KJ7R, how are you doing my friend? Hi Robert, hi Cami, and okay, I'm on a Tomy, I'm using about 5 watts and one of my arrows, and I'm looking at the voterscope, so it looks like I'm pegging the needle up on the buck. And what's interesting is when I move this antenna around, I'm looking right at the Puget Sound, and I'm on the upper part, there's like an upper and a lower area of Tomy than the trails, and I'm by the amphitheater, so I'm looking right out at the water. When I move this around, you can tell that the VHS signals like bounce off the stuff, they're like bouncing off that island over there, bouncing off the tree, and I never noticed that before. I tried to work this repeater from this kind of distance, because all these years I was like really close to a repeater, and I just hit it with an HD, and so now you can really get a feel for how much VHS signals bounce around. Anyway, it's nice out here, it is overcast, so the sun's not beating down on us about 65 degrees and lazy, and I thought, you guys are operating remote, I should hop in the car and come out here in the woods and operate remote, and I didn't look to see if the tide's in or out, I think it's in transition, so when it's out you've got all the clam people digging clams, and it's usually hard to find a parking spot then, but I don't see the clam people around. And, let's see what else we were going to mention, let me do this, I don't want to time out. And the other thing too is I'm seeing I'm pegging the needle on Buck, but my receive is different, my receive isn't really that good, unless I move the antenna over a little bit, so that says signals bouncing off the objects here. Let's see, we did APRS yesterday, I did, I pulled it out and do a test to see if we can get a Wind Link message out, I hit the ISS, and I did some APRS over RF, a lot of times we just use the dash 10 at work, which is the, without the radio, just take it along, so it's kind of neat. So, it's neat, you can do stuff on the phone, and then if you need to do it off the grid, you can do it off the grid too, so it works out really well. Anyway, you guys sound good, it sounds like you're having a good time, and we're just enjoying the woods out here in Lacey, this is KBA, VNY, VECU, Cami and Robert. This is repeater station, thank you so much for that, it is fantastic out here, we're having a blast, lots of folks kind of checking out what we got going on, and just a tremendous outcome in showing us support through Allied Motor Sports, I guess I get their name right, and a lot of the off-road community is quite fantastic, so very impressed with how things are going for their inaugural event, looking forward to many more years to come, and next year I'll make sure and have my Douglas Barrow to be on site in the event, actually hosting just from the table and kind of getting a little bit more interaction from folks, and I think we'll get a lot more goodness going on, because ham radio, GMRS, and radio in general is a huge part of the off-road community, so kind of promoting the ham radio kind of thing is a lot of fun, I'm a big promoter for the UTRF, you know, and that kind of technology, that way people can see where we are, and having that interaction with everyone when you're off-roading is a lot of fun, even though I partly believe that we need to kind of create an alternate frequency for some of that stuff, so that when we're off-roading, we get a little bit more dedication on these, and everyone can get some of the iGaze 4, setting up a mobile iGaze, I guess that'd be part of the iGaze 2, but there's so much to do, so much fun with it, and yes, I use the app on my phone as well, that way I can get the signals when I don't have radio, and then I can also make sure that I've got the ability to send packets over the radio if I've got my phone on, which is fantastic with no service, so thanks for stopping by my friends, very much appreciate you, and hope you have a great rest of your day, enjoy the woods, it's so beautiful out there. Next on the list we've got Groce, W7DNG, how are you doing my friend? Well first, you've got Groce here, W7DNG, can you still hear me? Roger, you sound fantastic. Well I'm doing some experimenting, I've only had this thing about 6 months now, it's their new bull thing, the AR5RM, and I'm sitting in the middle of my living room watching the hydro race. So that's on that report, rabbits are doing pretty good today, that's overcast, so they like that, so they're out more eating the grass than yards, haven't got much going on, but this is a normal day once a year, that's all I watch, out of all the sports that I ever go see or whatever, the hydro's the ones I like watching the best. So anyhow, I hope this transmission is getting through, and precious visual radio, W7DNG, back to you. Well Dr. Stan, I'm getting cozy, yes it's pretty slick watching the hydro's, one of the advantages that my grandparents had, where they live and rent, they can see them from their stack, even if it's parabenoculars because they are up a little ways, it's just the sound of the water, but they're able to see them from their house, their room, which is quite incredible, I don't know if it's going to be the full race, or if it's going to be a freeze of it, I don't remember, because I've never actually gotten to see it, so with that being said, I hope you're having a great time watching those, and if it's not you're going to hit the radio from inside your house, with the little metal thing, those are such great radios, it's incredible how well they've done on those things, so thanks for dropping by, very much appreciate you, and have a great rest of your day. I'm wondering if you see any of these from where you're sitting now, and the first one is Zip-Tie Hero, that category is best described as best use of creative field repairs, the next one, I think we talked about this on the 9 o'clock net, Zombie Apocalypse Ready, best overland camping set up, and the last one, I love this last one, because I know you've seen a number of these, not maybe at this event, but I'm sure there's one, got to be one, most likely to fail inspections, so do you see any of those three from where you're sitting now? KI7RM, thanks for getting me in. I'm 40 Moly Jack, I can't see many rigs at all from where I'm sitting, the only rig I can see is a Dodge just on site for our door printing, and I think it's one of their personal rigs, it's pretty well built that Dodge, but I would say it's kind of a little bit of an overland, and a Zombie Apocalypse look to it, but definitely not the award winner, not in my opinion at all, there were some great looking rigs out there, I'm really looking forward to seeing what we got, and kind of getting out there and looking at what rigs are going to get, what category, we've got to get out there and vote on ourselves, we'll definitely post some pictures on what we think and what we voted for, and get that live video stream on there so that all the folks at PSRT can have experience and see what's going on out here, because this is a tremendous amount of showing support for this group, and the amount of off-road rigs in the parking lot, Jack, is just incredible, we know a car show right out here in the parking lot, so definitely kind of hoping for some other clubs to take up this idea, we get more of these events happening all over the area, it would be fantastic, and showing off for the off-road community, not all of us are mall callers, but there's definitely a few of you here, but now I've got a couple of fantastic built rigs, one of them is a 6.2 liter supercharged, oh what the heck is that thing, it's a gladiator, it's got the America's Most Wanted build on it, which is just fantastic, the thing is running, it's got a 16E axle, I think it's got three fuel-in pairs on it, and it's just beautiful, and then they've got the Knott Fobcat, which is a gladiator that's been fobbed, and has the Hellcat motor built in it, which is another incredible build, so definitely a lot of fun stuff, fantastic rigs out there, and hopefully we'll wrap this up here after a little bit, and get out there and check things out on ourself, because we've got to figure out what rig we want to vote for, we've got to get our votes in. So thanks for stopping by Jack, very much appreciate you, and when I send the video, you'll have to give us your vote on what rig do you think will fit what category. Next on the list we've got Rich, K3-OE, how are you doing my friend? Robert, Kenny, doing great over here in West Seattle, and it is just a ton of fun hearing you two out there. Anyway, Kenny, get much better than ham radio and off-roading together, as a matter of fact, any activity that takes you out to boondocks I think ought to be teamed up with ham radio, and I know you haven't got a chance to look around much yet, but hopefully you'll take some pictures, and I hope you're not the only rig with ham antennas on it. Back to you, K3-OE. No, we're definitely not the only rig with ham antennas on them. There's a few other ones out here, but I have to say, I think most of them are certain-ratty rig, so they don't quite use the radio the same way we do in the social aspect, they only use it for form and function. There's quite a bit of time, you know, if you're looking around to see what other ham operators we have out here, there has to be a view of them. I would put my money on it. So, we've got an on-call rider that can be showing up, hopefully he's in route, and that'll be at least one other rig out here. Not sure what he's driving, but hopefully he's got a ham antenna on it, because, well, he's an on-call rider and he has ham antennas. So, thanks for that, Rick, we do appreciate you, and what you do to get out, valve, place your radio out in the woods, which we're in the corner field, this is the radio on the back, there you go. So, there you go. This is KJ7J, NAGS-M, who's currently 1237 p.m., this is the new event on the W7ZS and the PZ-7 area, and I'm going to hand it back over to you, my other ham. Oh, oh, and yes, we are live on-site here at the field of wheel defense, hosted by N7 Farms and Allied Motor Sports. KJ7J, NAGS-M handing over to KJ7RAP."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-07T12:56:50+00:00","id":15037,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15036,"text":" Let's go to the East Coast first with Paul, KC1VQS. Hey, Paul. Yeah, good afternoon, Jack and everyone on the net. We've had a beautiful day here in Maine. It's 80 degrees. Yeah, it's 80. The sunny and calm wind and low humidity can't beat that. Yeah. And we haven't had any more Canadian smoke since the weekend. So that's a good thing. Monday, it was pretty bad. And I've kind of been off the radio more this past week because my wife took a spill. And she fractured three vertebrae and a rib. So she was home for a bit. So I was helping her. And she's able to go back to work in the last couple of days. So she's doing better. Still sore. The doctor said it's just rest. Take it easy. Don't list anything. Just favor it as much as you can. And she has a desk job. So she's patting her chair and stuff. So she's doing OK. Not perfect, but OK. Better than she was. So yeah, that was an unfortunate thing. But yeah, we're celebrating her birthday this weekend. So that'll cheer her up with a lobster dinner. That's what we're going to do. Anyway, we're going to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. Hope you do too, Jack. Have a great day. And we'll talk again soon. This is KC1DQS. All right, yeah, I think, no, I'm not sure you mentioned that your wife had the spill there. Oh, that's a bummer. Oh, boy. All right, so she's got the desk job. She's getting back to work. Or she had a limited schedule. Does she have the ability to take some personal time off if she needs? Yeah, she does have sick leave. And she did take some of that. She actually fell off our dock and landed on rocks. And that's what did the injury. And it was a wound shear. She put a little too much weight on it. And the chair gave way. And both of them ended up off the dock. So that was not fun. And she did take some time. But she's trying to save as much as she can. Because the end of the 23rd, she goes on vacation for two weeks. And she's trying not to cut into that time. Because she's not ever had two weeks in a row before. And she's really looking forward to this. So she says if she can grin and bear it, she's going to try to see it through. And the doctor said there's no limitations as long as you. Lifting is a bad thing. And not a lot of walking. That kind of bothers her. But sitting doesn't so much. And as long as she can tolerate that, the doctor said she's fine. So there's nothing that's going to come out of place. It's all just mostly cracks or fractures. And nothing is just lodged or anything. So anyway, hopefully that will help. And the only painkiller she's on is Tylenol. And she takes that regularly. And that does help. So yeah, it was one of those freak things that happened. And you never know. So back to you, Jack. KC1-VQS. Hey, I7RMU with the new net here on the PSR. Do you hear Peter in Seattle, Washington? Well, Paulie, you did mention that. Yes, indeed. Yeah, yeah. As soon as you mentioned the dock and the rocks, oh boy. It all came flooding back. Well, you take care of her. And boy, that's really something. She's really lucky that it's not worse. That's for sure. And she's still able to get out on her vacation. Just take it easy. Well, I guess take some books. Take your Kindle. Have your phone nearby. And maybe you can rent a pedal, one of those petticaps. That would be kind of fun. Or something similar to that. And you'd be able to take a run on that somehow. I don't know. Well, anyway, you'll let us know. And that's really great. I'm glad that she's able to still build. All right. Well, Paulie, you have a great afternoon. Thank you for coming by. And all the best to you and your wife, of course. K6PKL. Hey, Bill. What's happening with you? Oh, I'm just sitting here lounging right now. Bubba, I need to get up. I want to mention to you about, or you said 3 million internationally, about having a ham license. And you know, when I listened into the WorldNet on TalkGroup 91 on Saturday, we have Check-In now, which is up over 500. OK, so. And that's from all over the world. And what my register in my AnyTone now has about 220,000 users in there. And that means whenever they transmit, well, it comes up and it gives me information about their location, their name and all that stuff on the screen on the AnyTone. And that will hold 500,000. So I can see that we're seeing this. And as fast as I load in the new database in there, which takes probably about 5, 10 minutes. But anyway, generally, I come on there and within a few days, I see new Check-Ins because it will just show there are no call. You have to register a number. You probably know that in DMR to be able to even access the repeater. It won't even recognize you unless you have an ID number. So anyway, I thought I'd mention that. Yeah, our hobby continues to say really vibrant K6P Hill. Well, it truly is the hobby of the thousand, the hobbies as K7DRQ famously said. That's Quentin, of course. So yeah, it's really just amazing hobby. And it's a great service as well. So many different aspects. And we like them all, even though we haven't tried them. And sometimes we haven't even heard of them. But when we hear something new, you go, wait, what's that? I got to look that up. OK. Anyway, all right, Bill. You have a great afternoon. Thanks for checking in today. Let's see what else is out there. Let's do, let's see what time is it? 1252. I think I'll do last call then for the new net. I'm Jack KI7RM.
