"text": " Assisted living seems to be the popular thing these days. I never thought I'd be in assisted living, but here I am. And on the assisted living side of things, which I don't know how I'm going to afford it. I found out what they're charging me and I'm like, oh crap. So I'm worried about that, but that's a whole other story. All right, well Joe, you have a great day and hopefully things will go better if you get some droning done and stuff. All right, now let's go talk to Bill VA6GRZ up in Canada. Good morning. TG7FMW VA6GRZ. Good morning, Missy and everybody on the net. Currently, now we have seven degrees. A high of 22, that's 45 and 71 in Fahrenheit and another mix of sun and cloud and it'll probably rain later on today. We'll see. Where is that going to be later? I think that's on, no, that's going to be on Thanksgiving next Monday here in Canada. I got my Blue Jays jersey on. So you know that means game day in the Bronx in the zoo at Yankee Stadium and I hope the Blue Jays can pull it out tonight and not have to worry about game four or five. Anyway, and the NHL season starts tomorrow. I got interested in an antenna pole that's in three sections of 10 feet long that somebody has given away. So I'm waiting for him to get it apart. He's giving it away. So yeah, I'll go take that off his hands. It looks like inside diameter of an inch and a half or one and five eighths. Anyway, you never know when you might need it so that's why I'm going to go and get this. It's not far from here. It's only like four kilometers away. Now that's a couple of miles. Anyway, what else is going on? That's about it. And I'm still waiting. I got to reconnect with another guitarist friend of mine so we can get something on the go here. 73 everybody. Oh, also one more thing. If anybody has a spare rotator, I have a ham four and it's not working for me. I have tried multiple times in trying to get it connected and it's just not working for me and I'm not about to go and spend a ton load of money to get it fixed. So if anybody's got a spare rotor lying around, let me know and we'll work something out. Back to you Missy. KST7FMW VA 60 or Z. Oh, and Missy, you're in Murray and your thing still says Taylor still. Back to you."

"text": " That would certainly be an interesting thing to get involved in. And you know, especially it sounds like you've done a lot of the stuff, you know, you've done it. You know, you've done Deep Sky, you've, you know, taken a lot of planetary pictures, things like that. So yeah, you know, just a new thing to play with, a new adventure, and that is extremely cool. And if you get into that at any time in the near future, I'll be looking forward to hearing about your exploits. And yeah, you know, something maybe I should look into too at some point. And you just never know sometimes what you can do from the city. You know, it's funny, 50 years ago, I couldn't do anything from the city much. And it was the Horsehead Nebula from my backyard. So, my, we have come a long way with technology. I'm so thankful for the technology that's allowing us to, you know, to have hobbies like astronomy from within a large city. So anyway, Dave, hey, thanks for taking my check in and good chatting with you. And now I have to head to the store. Oh, I hate going to the store, but I have to. So anyway, we'll send it back to you and we'll talk to you next week. GW8SNL, this is KI7PKO, back to you."

"text": " Yeah, I'm getting prepared. I got my candy canes all ready to go. And, yeah, it won't, the way time flies by, you know, it was, it's going to be Halloween, and then, boy, you blink your eyes and it's going to be a Thanksgiving, and here we go. Let's see, got to do rehab today, and then I got to go to the store and pick up some stuff, and then I got to go to the bank and pick up some money because I've got a gardener coming over later on, and I like to pay them cash, so I let them worry about the taxes or anything. But, anyway, hey, can I ask you if you might write me a song if you feel like it? I made up a line years ago, and I'm not a songwriter, and I hope I didn't pick it up from somewhere else, but I'll just throw it out to you. If you want to do something with it, that's fine. If not, that's great too. But the line is, when the stars twinkle and shine, I think of you as mine. Have you ever heard that before? KV7, KVW. This is repeater station kilo kilo seven, November Quebec November, all star node six two two two. Ooh, and the stars twinkle and shine, I think of you as mine. Ooh, that's a killer line. Now you should seriously write that. That's awesome. I don't know, let me play around with that, see if I get motivated. I had to get in the right mood to write songs, and I just wrote one the other day, first. A contest, literally wrote it for a contest, only. And entered the contest yesterday. And I don't know if anything is going to happen, probably not. It's not a national contest, per se, but if I were to win, I could win up to like 5k in prizes. So, not holding my breath that I could win, but the song is about Linda, and it came out really pretty good. It made me cry when I got done with it, I'm like, oh god. So, I don't know, let me see if I can come up with something with this line. This line is really good. I'll try, but no promises. But I'll think about it and see what I can come up with. That's awesome. When the stars twinkle and shine, I think of you as mine. That's awesome. I'll play around with that a little bit, if I can come up with something. But I'll do my best. It took me like a week with that, and we'll see what happens. Now you've got me motivated to try it, so we'll see. I'll give it my best shot. Alright, you have a great day now, and now let's go talk to Roy, KI7PKO. Good morning to you."

"text": " Yeah, no problems there Keith. Say hi to Shirley when she gets back from us across the pond here at Hamilly in Newport, South Wales. If you speak to her before then, you probably will on the phone or some other means of communication no doubt. We are missing a voice on the net there. Okay, thanks for popping in Keith. Great to hear from you as always. We'll talk to you. I know we will be chatting to you and Paul in the not so distant future. Okay, don't worry about calling me Graham. When you actually share a net, it's so easy to do anyway. It might even sound like Graham. I don't know. Graham without the Scottish accent maybe. Who knows? Anyway, thanks Keith. I'll clear with KI5WZ8 and that's putting me at the bottom of my list. This is GW8SRL with the IRN's KD1 multi-mode net. Looking for any further check-ins? If you'd like to check in, please call now."

"text": " Yes, indeed. Bring on the weekend. And I think, you know, I don't know. As far as I'm concerned, the weekend starts on Friday. And after I read the closure to the Alaska morning, as far as I'm concerned, my weekend has begun. So here we go. Thanks to all of you who checked in today, as well as those who listened along. It was a pleasure chatting with each of you, getting to know you or know you better. I want to thank those who have connected their systems to us, allowing people to use your system to check into or listen to the Alaska morning net. Forward to hearing from you on tomorrow. Wouldn't you yet? KI5SSR will be your net control. The Alaska morning net is now closed. And I'm returning all systems to normal use. 73, everyone. Thanks again for a great net. This is KI7PKO."

"text": " It's a good little radio, it's gonna just throw underneath my seat in the vehicle and it's out of sight. Even if I have to get an extension for the mic, I'll still use it like that with my phone. And my friend who has one, who was talking about it, talked me into getting one. You know, because they're not that expensive. And he just loves it. And he doesn't just keep it in his car, he takes it out and puts it in his life's car, if they drive that car, stuff like that. So it's fun to see his interaction with it and he said he would help me get this wireless mic hooked up. And there's something to help me. And the other thing is I would, and also you can click on the manual and it will get me back on your phone. And it's daunting because when you first click on the manual, it comes up in full Chinese. I scroll through the first page and lo and behold at the bottom it says English. I press not in English and it all converts over to another manual that's all English. So I breathe a sigh of relief. It was very daunting and I said, gee, I do not know Chinese at all. Don't tell me we're going to have to start learning Chinese. Anyway, that's it. I won't go into that. I have on Wednesday my first episode of a needle in my neck with some juice coming out of it to see if it helps my neck where I don't get any more pain and I can lift it up and look around. It's very hard to be walking around and not be able to raise your head up without excruciating pain. So I have to be real careful. I get one shot and then a time later I get another shot which is like maybe two weeks in between. And if those work and I get relief, then I get an out-pilation on my neck. Anyway, so that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Take it easy. I'll back to you."
