"text": " Okay, I found PKL from GW8SL. Yeah, definitely. You know, I just you know, I was thinking but you know, it could fail everything fails. Nothing's perfect, you know after maybe Excessive use over a few years, you know anything. Oh, this is been working fine But no, that's yeah, they will take the chance and in a filter failed on there, you know And the worst thing is you can have a doubt you can be camera damaged Oh, but the way you set it up at least you can replace a camera. You can't replace your site in in one eye and but they say there be no chances of Surgery or anything like that recovered the eyesight that you would have lost if that happened fair when you got a filter failing and the And a telescope as you quite rightly say as well there right so No, I never bow with the filter Anyway you can replace the camera probably a little bit costly But hey, at least you can still you you know, your site remains so you can continue with with the hobby. That's for sure and Yeah, it's all good fun. I say well we wish I wish we had more better weather over here, but no radio astronomy It'll have to be for a while. I think Until until a climate gets gets warmer and we get clearer skies and all that kind of stuff in the next ten years according to the Met Office and And we could get probably end up doing some more Optical astronomy, but I'm looking at radio astronomy at the moment and seeing how we can go and do some of that Anyway right back to you. KI 7p kl 2w8 s there now You"

"text": " KI7PKL from GW8SLL. Yes indeed. Those filters that you actually put on, I was never bothered out. I was just thinking like, you know, you're looking through a telescope at the sun and what would happen if those filters failed? Maybe you had a cheap copy or something, you know, and then of course you're going to lose your eyesight, at least in the one eye because of it. So I was never, you know, even though, you know, other people I know did and without issue, I was never very happy about, you know, doing that. I always projected the sun just to be on the safe side. Just in case it failed, maybe the filter actually failed, maybe it was a cheap copy or something, being sold as the real thing. So, no, I never had any of them. I just projected it just to be doubly safe. KI7PKL, GW8SLL."

"text": " Okay, Steve, Douglas isn't here. He was here earlier. If you want to catch Douglas, he's here at the very beginning of every net. You can also catch him on Thursday, and I would suggest you check out his QRZ page. I know a little bit about Arkansas out there. I know where Douglas is. I'm not sure about this other station. But, yeah, Steve, that's all I got for you, and I'm sorry that you couldn't get in. But I've called for calls, and, you know, so anyway, it's all good. I'll throw it back at you, and that's all I have for you. I have nothing else that I can give you. That's all the info. He's not here to ask. So just so you know, he cuts out, he's like the first, second, or third person who checked in from the very beginning. So back to you, Steve, but you can catch him here on Thursday. If you don't mind, let me interrupt, Mr. Net. Just so the gentleman knows, you can look up people up on QRZ. You can see exactly where they live. Douglas lives in Fayette, Alabama. So hope that helps. N4EPC."
