My cousin in Southern California was a ham, he was probably a teenager. I was only five years old, but I remember going out on the street, we had a big black truck park, and we went up these little steps, kind of like a camper, and there was always big black boxes in there. And he was a ham radio operator. My brother, who was in the Navy down in San Diego, he visited my, we have a picture of him with an antenna laid out on the ground, so we were aware of it. I think he may have called my dad one time, by relay one time. Anyway, I would probably go back to the 50s and early 60s in time to see what was going on. The cars were really cool back then. Of course, when you traveled, you used to try to see if you could name the cars that were going by. Unfortunately, they've all gone to a kind of generic cars now, they all look alike, kind of. So those days are gone. But I enjoyed the 50s. They even had trolleys here in Portland area that I rode in the late 40s until we moved. But I guess the gasoline companies wanted to get rid of the trolleys, so they could sell more gasoline. They just, they run those trolleys off on a siding and just burned them. Unbelievable. But fortunately a few people like San Francisco, they kept their trolleys and, uh, uh, Norils, I guess, they have trolleys. So, it's kind of cool. Uh, yeah, I was, uh, I was at CB in the 60s. A friend of mine had one of them, we got one and then we kind of got out of it. And then in the 70s, everybody at work had CBs, so I got back into it. I even had a call sign. Uh, so, but then when ham came along, or got a chance to get into the ham, uh, uh, I got rid of the CBs. So anyway, came to sell the PBW. Back to them. Alright. Yep. Another room for the past. And, uh, uh, yep, trolleys are fun. A little blast from the past. And, uh, but, like everything, uh, we've, things progress. We move into the future. And, uh, but it's always nice to, uh, have some of the past there and in certain places to remember. Alright, we're at the bottom of the list. We're going to make one more call for check-ins and we're going to go back up to the top list for the 73 round. We will be disconnecting, uh, Michigan here shortly, so, uh, we don't have to worry about going over into the, uh, worldwide conference, uh, worldwide friendship net. And then after that we'll re-hook up. So, uh, if you'd like to come out and get, uh, an obvious 73 round for, uh, the call up on the net here, uh, please come down with a call signing your name. Put the softens fascia on, which is aluminum. That's going to be climbing up and down the ladders and tacking everything on and all that kind of fun stuff. Only took me the summer to get this project finished. Well I've had some other issues. Managed to rip the muscles in my knee, so that's going to go in for an operation in the next couple of months.
