Well, you know, that's one of those figures that I always remember because it's 28 degrees Charlie is 82 degrees Foxtrot so you just invert the numbers and you've got it right on and the two scales cross at minus 40 And I don't ever want to live anywhere where that happens. So there you go That's my story Of temperature. There you go Yeah, we got some warm temperatures coming in here for sure I know that the Willamette Valley is gonna be up in the hundreds But I think we're only gonna get up into the upper 90s in the next couple of days so we'll see today's big project we are going down to the County Fair Creek County Fair and Yeah, yeah talk about critical reports You know Sam wants to go to the 4-h Auction which is really fun because you know, these kids have been raising these you know everything from from cows the steers the to turkeys and chickens rabbits you name it and the fun one was last year we were there and a the blue ribbon Turkey Tom Sold for 275 dollars and it was a 27 pound turkey and that's per pound They were paying for this thing so think about that for a little bit that's one expensive Thanksgiving dinner, but actually they'll use it as breeding stock. So it was one of those really nice nice mornings and even for the weekend Nobody else was out was only basically except for two fishermen We had to link to ourselves. So that was pretty nice It's starting to pick up now and it's really getting busy But anyway, the big thing today is the mow the grass so we'll get that done this morning Well, it's still cool. And we're we're gonna have some hot temperatures here tomorrow supposed to be in the Maybe we're gonna hit 90 I don't know but those are Spokane temperatures the forecast for Spokane and here we're usually five degrees cooler than Spokane so We'll see. Well, we're very good morning to you guys and thanks for getting the net underway here on a Saturday morning. Well, Saturday afternoon here. It's just 1 34 p.m. here in St. John's, Newfoundland this afternoon. And we've got a thoroughly decent day out there. We got a temperature of 28. Yeah, 28 degrees Celsius. Not sure exactly what that is in Fahrenheit, but I guess you can do the math if you're interested. 28 Celsius anyway. So definitely the warmest day we've had so far this summer actually. The highest we had before this was 25 and I don't think that's quite 80. I don't think 20, 28 is quite 80. I'm not sure now could be. I'm not 100 percent, but it's warm by Newfoundland standards anyhow. Not really much going on just here in the shade trying to to beat the heat. So I'll be listening till the end of the net. 7 3 and all the best from here on the rock. This is the 01. Hey, Daryl. Thanks for your report. Good to hear from you. And we here in the Pacific Northwest are coming into a heat wave ourselves. So we're going to be in the upper 20s and Celsius ourselves this coming week. So stay cool. 73s and thanks for listening. Up next is Matt, KI6 KTE. Good morning, Matt. Good morning, Dana. How is my signal? Wow, you sound truly mic 5. You sound great. Go ahead. OK, good morning. And I am talking about a portable, which is why I asked, because I am messing with my my non portable rig. I'm trying to make it a functional all star node. I figured I was thinking I would love to have an all star node when I travel so I could check in the nets and stuff. And I don't I don't love the these droid star experiences. It's passable, but I'd like something better. Anyways, I was like, I have a Raspberry Pi. I have an audio interface. I have a radio. I should be able to make this happen. Well, so far I have things wired together, but these these are all things that I would but the software side and trying to figure out how to configure it correctly comes today. So that's what I'll be doing that and running irrigation. My sweet baby angel Daphne chewed up some of it last year and it's getting to that time of summer where putting some water on the ground because. Next on the list is Matt, KI6 KTE. Good morning Matt. Good morning Teresa, good morning Dana, good morning everyone else. It is good to be back. I spent a month in California and I don't know I always feel bad because I don't feel comfortable saying that I'm going to be leaving home for a long time on radio but after then I'm gone and I came back. I had this idea that like I would have had time for radio when I was down there and that did not happen but it was a good trip but this is this is the place I love. I am glad to be back and oh my gosh are there a lot of tourists here. We got a chip drop and so my entire driveway is covered in wood chips so I my plan is to try and get them out of the driveway so that and onto the yard and landscaping so that we can have less mud and more wood chips once the rain starts. I totally forgotten about the rain or shine so I I'm like can I do both I don't know but I do need to get the wood chips out of the driveway. When I was in California I was rooting around in my parents garage and found an old box of full of Commodore 64 related books and manuals and and I decided that they weren't doing any good in their garage but I also don't have a use for them so I think I'm going to see if I can find someone who wants them. I can expect one but I figured I'd maybe post some photos on the Facebook discussion group or something and see if anyone wants a whole bunch of old Commodore 64 models because they enjoy vintage computing. Anyways I hope you all have a great day if I don't make it to the rain or shine I hope you all have a fun time there. I know you probably had to get going or go somewhere else or do something else, but yeah, the fans didn't have a lot of time to be drinking because they were all standing going absolute bonkers. They were yelling screaming. I don't think I saw anybody sitting down on that whole last half of the game. That's how they did it. And I don't think anybody cared. So anyway, alright, Keith, good to hear you. Thank you for the recheck. Let's go back to Matt, KI6 KTE. We had some questions coming in last night on the 9 o'clock net with Rebecca, KK79J. Is that all about the repeater roundabout? And some thought it was in October. I said, no, it's in November, right around Thanksgiving. I think maybe the weekend before. But hey, let's go talk to the expert for this year, KI6 KTE. Good morning, Matt. Good morning, Jack. Good morning, everyone. Also, Lynette, you're absolutely right. Repeater roundabout this year is the weekend before Thanksgiving, November 22nd and 23rd. We have a bunch of website updates to do, but that update has been done. It does show the correct date. It still has the data from last year. So the next task is getting the clubs that have signed up so far listed on the repeater listing. So I'll warn you, don't program your radios yet. Those are the repeaters from last year and the channel numbers will, or the repeater numbers will change. So yeah, we will have updated files up later. So far we have 25 clubs that have said that they're in and we're still trying to reach out some more. Again, I don't know exactly how many repeaters that is yet because many clubs have multiple repeaters. And I think maybe for the first time in Western Washington, some clubs are narrow band. So we will have some narrow band repeaters in there. And I find this is a great way to like get a pretty extensive and correct programming file for local repeaters. So I personally love that Quentin started this and I can get like 100 or some repeaters just programmed in my radio, easy peasy. And hopefully we'll be able to do the same with some narrow band repeaters this year. Anyways, I hope you're having a great morning. And if there are other questions that I can potentially answer, I'm happy to do so.
