And so the local installer here in Spokane was supposed to get back to me, and of course he's never called me, and they don't give me a phone number to call them. So I'm a little frustrated, so I'm gonna have to get back on, chase that down on Monday, tomorrow. Back to you, Jack, K7, PDZ. All right, well that sounds like a service call to me. All right, well that might eat into your flight so I get four pairs in that cargo, so that's too bad. All right, we'll pick that conversation up later. Jim, great to hear you, say hi to Jane. All right, we had a comment in there, I wanna check that was WA7AD, was that you, Michael? If so, go ahead. Thank you, Jack, yes it was, was K7AD, I'm mobling, I just turned on the radio, I'm downtown Kirkland. Escargot, Lynn's Bistro, I've eaten it many times, but she's closed now, so it's served in a very strong garlic butter sauce, it's excellent. And so if you find a good French restaurant, you can probably have a good one. So she had very good escargot. And I think that's a good thing, she had very good escargot. And I think Jim referred to the, look at that car with the S on it go, the escargot. I can't remember that joke anymore. I was gonna make a comment the other day about Jim's fire and smoke alarms. I have seven or eight, I can't remember which, but the four in the common areas had a 10 year life on them, and as soon as 10 years done, the thing starts chirping like crazy, you have to replace it. And all mine are hardwired, and they're all connected together so one fails, and they all start to tell you, fire alert, fire alert. You need to change this thing so you can plug it in yourself. I'm sure in ET if they're monitoring you, they wanna, for your fire alarms, they wanna put their own in and probably make a big bundle of money on it, but they plug right in. But it's interesting, the only ones that we had to replace at the 10 year life were the common area ones, the ones in the bedrooms. Their bedrooms didn't have to be replaced. This is, but they're hardwired, but they have a backup battery, but it's hardwired, the backup battery doesn't get much use. Anyway, interesting, Jack, thanks for making my comment on the S Gargo, that's yummy. Back to you, sir, Whiskey Alpha Seven Alpha Delta. All right, we're moving into the food challenge round now here on the PSRG nine o'clock net with Jack, KI7R, have you, and commenter, WA7AD, Michael. So Muskrat, okay, Jim brought that up and I was like, okay, what is going on here? Am I just losing my mind? Did he just say he likes Muskrat? Which apparently, if cooked correctly, can be pretty good. But would you recommend for Muskrat, if you know Michael, would you cook that in a heavy garlic butter? I don't know, I've eaten just about anything, Jack, as you can tell. Probably in a barbecue type red sauce, I don't know how barbecue sauce maybe. One of my favorite foods when I was in college working at the liquor store in the public market, McLean's Market, I'd have barbecue pigs freed at a Filipino restaurant. I thought they were fantastic. So anything that's cooked right, it's yummy. I don't know, I haven't had loop fish though, I don't know about that. Back to you, Jack, Whiskey Alpha Seven Alpha Delta. Did you say Ludefisk? Yes, sir. All right, well I saw a WQ78 key up earlier. His station looked like it locked up, I had to disconnect him, but hopefully James will come back and tell us about Ludefisk because he and the Sons of Norway are commonly, well, I don't know, maybe quarterly, half yearly, something like that, are looking for so much Ludefisk. So much Ludefisk, it just turns your stomach thinking about all that Ludefisk. Anyway, yeah, it says here that in, offer prepared in various ways, this is muskrat now, including fried barbecue or in stews and is known for its unique flavor, which is often described as beefy or lamb-like rather than gamey or fishy when prepared properly. How about that? All right, so you were right there on the barbecue anyway. Okay, Michael, you have a great day and have a, say I do, Kathy for me if you would. All right, let's continue on. This is Jack, KI7RBU, as I said, 9.33 a.m. on a Sunday morning, nine o'clock net. If you'd like to join us, call, sign, and name. K7MG, Mickle and Muckletillo. All right, King of Corn, Mickle, I've got you, who's next? All-star notes, Miss Whiskey, KOB87, Hotel, this is James. James, thank you, who's doubling with James? This is Kilo Kilo 7, Mike Sulu Whiskey, Brian. Stand by, Brian, all right, who's next, please? KK7IJZ, KK7IJZ, Rebecca. All right, Rebecca, all right, I've got you on the list. Anybody else? KG7ODB, recheck. Start here, recheck in while it's fresh there, Dean, and then we'll go back and we'll pick it up with Mickle. K7OGB, proceed. This is Mickle, but it's K7MGE, just like my initials, so we'll try to get that correct on your list there, Jack. I have to say, Jack, you always come up with great subjects. I was just gonna do an I-O, but I have to respond to the snail discussion. Yes, I've had that before, but it was in Asian. Of course, they don't call it, the French words there. It's different, but that's not the most interesting thing. In fact, there's some things I'm not sure what it was that I ate, and that happens when you're traveling through strange and distant countries. Now, I know most of you folks think all I do is eat corn, but in fact, on one occasion, I was at a banquet and we were in the midst of eating live scorpions. Now, I gotta tell you, eating a live scorpion is something that you gotta be kinda careful, and you put the live scorpion in a little Maotai and get him drunk, and then you put him in a little junk and then get the stinger out and go for it. Actually, they're not so bad, but most things, as was said earlier, most things that are cooked properly, whatever it is, be it donkey, horse, a scented cat, or whatever, can taste actually good, unless of course you're a strict vegetarian, I would say. Anyway, this is K7MGE, Michael and Michael Teal, back to the net. Have a good day, everyone. All right, well, Michael, I wanna clear something up here. I have your call signed down correctly. However, what happened was Dean checked in. He's got a quick recheck, KG70DB. I had called him for his quick recheck, and then I said, and then we'll go to Michael. So that's what happened there. But wait a minute, hold on a second. I just wanna clear that up. But the live scorpions, okay, now these are, these have gotta be like little tidbit type, right? So maybe two inches long, and how big are these live scorpions, no stingers you were eating? Well, sorry for the misunderstanding on the earlier arrangement, because you really do do a good job with managing people and getting them in line, and I'm sorry to be out of line. About two inches, I would say. The interesting thing is, of course, they come a couple of ways. When they're live, they just come alive to the table, and you kinda pick them up with your chopsticks and get them a little bit drunk, and then pull the stinger out, and they don't really taste like much that way. The way that they taste a little bit better is when they're deep fat fried, and of course, you know, it's just the oil, so they kinda taste like french fries. K7MGE, back to net. Have a good day, everybody. Well, at least they don't taste like chicken, right? Okay, well that's interesting. They taste like french fries. Alright, well, on now, I wanna just go off planet, and we're just gonna go completely fictitious here, but let's talk about the Klingons' favorite, one of their favorite little delicacies is gash, which is basically mealworms, and I think on Next Generation, that's what they used was bowls of mealworms, kinda all moving around in the bowl. So, what you eat, gash, by chance. Back to you, Mikkel. My goodness, I'm getting some time on the net today. This is K7MGE. Well, it depends on how they served it. I mean, it's amazing, you know, you look around the world, and people eat all kinds of strange things, and oftentimes, times are pretty good. There are only a few things that I've really had trouble with. One, of course, was Mongolian tea, where they put, where they put grease in the tea, and it just, I couldn't take that, but I think it's a good thing. I don't think I'd have a problem with that if other people were eating it, if it had flavor."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-07-19T22:00:47+00:00","id":7951,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":7950,"text":" Good evening Bill and everybody on the net and Rich of course if you're listening somewhere out there. Yeah this is Dean KG70DB. So anyway, when I first started Ham Radio, I bought a Fofang radio like a lot of people did, but I really knew nothing about repeaters and which local repeaters were good or anything like that. So I put it on scan and I just let it go through and at first I was really let down because it was like there was nothing happening at all. But then it stopped, it picked up a station and what it picked up was the wind system. You know, a 441.65 W7 TWA from Mt. Baldy. And so I'm hearing this person talking and they're saying they are in Alabama. I'm thinking wow, this little $35 radio works pretty well. I mean I kind of figured it was some sort of, some technology I didn't understand yet. But yeah the wind system, I used to spend a lot of time on there. There was a thing called the Insomniac Net. It's still there. What they do is they have a trivia question every night and then they, it's like a roll call and then everybody has to give their answers. Like it's a multiple choice and you'll say A, C and D because you picked those particular answers to the question. But you know it's really popular actually on PSRT because years ago K7 LWA, which a lot of the people, younger people have heard about but never got to know because he passed away in 2018. He was the net manager and he was like a major force on this, on PSRT for a long time. But on Friday nights he would do the Insomniac Net. There was a lot of crossover over there so I'd go over there and I'd be on his net. But one of the things that happened with the Insomniac Net was it used to be that they would order the people by how many times and how long you'd been checking in. And over time you'd get really high on the list. But then they changed it so we're going to call people in, in this area or that area or the 7th district. And it kind of upset a lot of people who had put a lot of time into, you know, spent a couple years getting high on the list and all of a sudden it's all shaken up. But yeah the wind system is a great system. I haven't been on there for a while but it's there. So anyway great net tonight. Great to hear everyone. KG 7 ODB. Well thank you Gene and for that background on the wind system. Yeah I just had never heard of it. I had no idea what it was and I've psyched over this Insomniac Net. It looks like it's every night at 10 p.m. Pacific. Interesting. Yeah. Alright if you're interested go to windsystem.org and you can fall into another deep, deep rabbit hole. We are listening to the PSRG 9 p.m. social net for Saturday July 19th. We've gone through two rounds and it's the traditional moment for the host to take a moment and go over the announcement list. So let me do that right now. Next Saturday as usual the Radio Club of Tacoma hosts their open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. And as usual next Saturday also the Simplex Net is at 8 p.m. on 146.56. But not every Saturday brings you the PSRG annual picnic. Ta-doo ta-doo. Saturday July 26th. That is one week from today. It's going to be over in Magnolia Park. If you want to go onto the PSRG.org webpage and sign up and get in. Because sometimes we get people limited. They don't let us have 100,000 people. The park is only so big so we can only let so many people in. So go and sign up. Sign up and bring some nice food and come and have really probably the best event. Well, field day is pretty wonderful but the picnic is wonderful too. So come on July 26th. And coming up soon after that on Sunday August 10th is the next Rain or Shine Net. It is going to be on the east side of Green Lake over there by the paddle boat rentals and where the Green Lake Cafe and Concession Stand is. And just to get you a little interested there's something here that says you pick up your ice cream ticket. You see a little free ice cream in your future. I'm not sure but that's what this notice suggests. So put it on your list Sunday August 10th. Then you have the Picket Sound Anti-Radio and Vintage Electronics Swap Meet at Shoreline Community College on Sunday August 17th from 9 to 2. And that gets you through a pretty nice summer with all announcements when it gets a little cooler. It's just too hot to go into them now. You'll listen to 9 p.m. PSRG Socialite. This is Bill, K7WFP and we're starting round three right now. So if you want to get in on it come ahead now with your call line and your name. K0CMT, Colin, K7CSG, Ryan with an R, IO. But before that we had K0CMT who will be number one on our list. Then an IO. Then who's coming up next? Call sign and name. K7WFP, Colin, K7CSG, Ryan with an R, IO."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-03T22:38:20+00:00","id":13934,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":13933,"text":" Okay, let's run the list. We had Tracy, thank you for your check-in. Joan, text 2CW. Come with me. Hello, Jim. Thanks for picking it up for Brian. And I thought of it, I almost did, but I thought, you know, two nights in a row I can't do it. Anyway, what I did today, I don't even know if I got out of that. Now that I think about it, I took two or three naps today, you know. So sometimes your battery is fully charged, and sometimes you just feel like, you know. Today was a tired day for some reason. But I got some good sleeping time. And the module was not out, it was a low overcast. And I could hear the planes, I mean, from one of the naps this afternoon. I was awaited abruptly by, I think it was a plane, the Blue Ranges were flying. But also saw one of their cargo planes. And I heard the turbopops of the plane, I forget what it's called, Fat Albert. But I couldn't see it, I couldn't see it, I couldn't see it largely because I just stayed in my tent bed. I kind of pulled the flap to look at the sky out of the window. And then I pulled the flap and put my dentist pillow over my head. So I just had been home drinking, sipping on coffee. Gosh, I don't remember if I got out of the building, I don't think I did. And I've just now made one of the things I like, foods I like. And maybe I shouldn't because it's starchy. But I have potatoes, I have a bag of potatoes. And once in a while I like to wash and scrub and dice up a couple of them. And put them in a bowl with salt and olive oil and faludu hot sauce. And bake them in the microwave oven for six minutes. And then I take it out and put some ketchup on it, some organic unsweetened ketchup. And I dimble on it. And I now have the last four pieces sitting here on my piano keyboard. Cheers, governors, thank you, Tim. Again, all the numbers to all my hands. This is Joan on Broadway in the Capitol Hill Behavioral Observatory. Handing it back to Ned. Thank you for the report, Joan. Yes, it sounds like you had a pretty much relaxed day taking some naps and so forth there in your tent. And observing the life down below. Even though they're small, those are people down there on the street. I had a relaxed day. I'm getting ready for a trip. I'm a little behind in my preparation so I'll be up quite a bit tonight. I should have taken a nap. It was a good idea for me to take a nap. I did not take a nap. I might have to nap after this, Ned, for about half an hour and 45 minutes. And then I try to get up so I can complete my preparation. I'm actually boarding an airplane at 8. I'm taking the train there, which means I need to get the train at 4 to 45 or something. Which is before the bus is running, so that means I've got to walk half a mile. That's a little less than half a mile down to the train station. At least it's walkable. I'm taking a suitcase, of course. So that's the fun I've got tonight. Okay, well, thank you for your check-in, Joan. Next we have AB6M-B. Jeff, come ahead with your report. Okay, Tim, thank you very much and thank you for doing the net. Yeah, I just had a nice day today to watch some baseball and some Tour de France bicycling and racing. And I got a nice temperature outside today, so it's very pleasant. Yeah, the schools are out there bebopping around, but I didn't see Rocky at the end of the day. So maybe he had a better offer somewhere, I don't know. But I got some stuff out there for him. Yeah, just doing some reading and working on some, about starting to write a book for traveling around Northern California, mostly the Bay Area. And see what else is going on, just to set the most over. Cherry hockey chicken, Jack in the Box has great cherry hockey chicken. It is really, really good, believe it or not. And you buy the, you know, you can buy it in a bowl and it just, I froze it and took it out and cooked it and boy, it tasted good. So I'm not sure how they did it, but they got a pretty good cherry hockey chicken dish with rice and that. That's about all I got, Tim. So let me turn it back to you and it would be great to hear everybody else. AV6MB. Glad to hear your weather's going down well down there. Jeff, up here we had most cloudy days. The sun kind of tried to get out a couple of times, but we remain mostly overcast. 69 degrees high right now, 69. Humidity is 60 percent, doesn't feel bad. Light wind, 3 miles an hour. Tomorrow it's going to get a little warmer, a little more sun. And then Tuesday and Wednesday it kind of pulls off again a little bit. Not bad though, not bad. And then towards the end of the week we get up into the upper 70s. Anyway, thank you for your report. Next we've got UK 7 IJC. Come ahead with the report. Hey Tim, thank you so much for hosting the debt for Brian. Well, you've got a lot to do tonight. Visit today's report in the morning. Today was a great day. I got to visit with Matt, KI7UES, and Dean, KG7ODB. It was a wonderful thing those two girls. Andy and I ventured out. And yeah, it was a lovely day. This is for Peter Station Kilo 7 November Quebec November. All Star Note 622. Located in Shelton, Washington. It was relaxing. Andy and I had some dinner and now we're just going back to the net. Let everyone have a wonderful, wonderful week. 7-3 and thanks again Tim. KK7IJZ in 33 to John. Well, Rebecca, you're sounding great there. Thank you for checking in. And it's always a pleasure to sit in and stuff on the net. So glad to be here. Let's see. Next, KK7, Kilo, Cedar. There might be a scene between Kilo and Cedar. I think I might have let her. Would that station come ahead please? 4-8 Tim, this is Justin, KA7QES. 7-3, thanks for running the net. Hope you're doing well. I'm a little late to the net. Enjoyed the round of pins. I'm finally winding down after a very busy weekend. Yesterday was the annual pig roast party that my best friend threw up every summer. And this year he roasted a 98-pound pig which was delicious and super fun. And I get to bar defend at his party and make an enormous amount of tea. He got to get those for phones. So, I spent a lot of West Week and a lot of my Friday night Saturday morning prepping things for that. Which was really fun. And everyone seemed to really enjoy the drinks and be having a thoroughly good time. So, I was happy. It was a great big party. Kids roaming and running through the yard and playing on a zip line. And the pro-ups just had a good time. And sometimes joining the kids on the line. It was really fun and silly. We all ate really well. And that was good. My wife and girls did not get to go to the table. They were on a home and kids camping in the end in the South Spence. And they got home late this afternoon. And we've all just been kind of unwind and cleaning. And our kitchen is currently a disaster. Probably will be until tomorrow, you think. But, yeah, that's how it goes. It's okay. We're all okay with it because it just shows we had a fun weekend. I hope everyone is doing great out there. And everyone had a great week. KK7 QES back to net. Sounds like you had a fun filled weekend and plans for the weekend. Yeah, excellent. Excellent. I like that. Alright. It is 9.31 now. This is KI7 Sulu Echo on the PSRG repeater. I'm going to take some announcements here. Let's see, I've got the announcement page in front of me. As usual, I'm not looking at the Facebook page. I should really do that. On our PSRG website, that's PSRG.org, where you can find out all the information about the Puget Sound Repeater Group. On the top of the page, it's got, Find Time was had by all at the PSRG picnic. Where's Jack? Jack was playing a trick here. He took three photos and everyone else stayed in place, but Jack, quick as he is, got in three places at one time for the photo. I don't know. So, check out where Jack is. It looks like, let's see, PSRG board meeting, August 9th, next Saturday, will be held Saturday, 1.30 p.m. on Zoom. As always, anyone who's invited to attend and comment, only board members will vote. Details for the Zoom login will be posted on the webpage, PSRG.org, so check that out. And I always find the board meeting is informative, so if you've never checked it out, try that out. Okay, let's see, coming up next week, PSRG season seven, so it's going to bring or shine Newton Met and Ice Cream Social, August 10th. That is going to be at Green Lake. So check out the webpage here. It's got the details, but basically it's going to be on the east side of Green Lake, just north of the Paddlebone Rentals and the Green Lake Cafe Confessions stand, so there's a parking lot right there, which usually fills up pretty quick. And considering this is noon on the 10th and sure, the parking lot will be pretty full. But there's street parking nearby. If you're a little persistent, you can find a street parking. There's another parking lot further to the west that is not usually, usually not nearly as busy as the parking lot near the concession stand in the pool rentals. So check that out. This will be run by Kenny, KJ7RAP, and Robert, KJ7JXM as hosts. We will be giving out when you get a chance to check in at the net table and pick up an ice cream ticket. So pick up a ticket, redeem your ticket at the Green Lake Cafe Confessions stand, which is located right near the Paddle Boats, across from the Paddle Boats. And then come back in and hang out with your hams. Hams, entry, and ice cream. And it probably will come smashing together, so we'll have ice cream all mixed up. I don't know. We'll see. Unfortunately, I won't get town, so I will not be there. Otherwise, it would be if you have a calling frequency shown, 46550 simplex. If you need directions to come in or whatever, I think you're pretty clear if you've ever been to Green Lake. Okay. So, let's see what's next here. Drop a sec."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-04T10:20:42+00:00","id":14058,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":14057,"text":" W.O.I. In and out to Sportin Jack, looking forward to Sunday. 73's. Alright Michael, stand by. I've got you KG7 W.O.I. John Paulsville with an I-O for today. John, nice to hear you. I heard the rumor that you were going to make it over to the Rain or Shine at Green Lake Sunday for the new Net Ice Cream Social. I cannot wait to see you in person again. Man, that is going to be, you're going to wear out your arm, your nose, handshakes and flaps on the back and high fives. Man, oh man, it's going to be fun to see you. Alright, so how, real quick though, John, can I ask you about the radio? How is the radio doing? If you brought it over, we might be able to have somebody take a look at it. I was thinking about KG7 ODB, possibly. Would you like to do that if you haven't looked at it yet? No, I'm going to try to figure it out here soon, Jack. Thank you very much for the offer. KG7 W.O.I. Alright, yeah, John, not a problem. If you would like to take some online help, I mean phone help, I'm sure we can have somebody give you a call so we can take that offline and talk about that later. Alright, you have a good day and thanks for dropping by there, John. Go back to Michael, WA780. Michael, good morning. Hey, good morning to you, Jack. WISK-7A, Michael here. Kirkland, I'm on that link. I just, I didn't get up till almost 9.30. So, I just called Larry to apologize to him that I missed a net because he likes to look at me and then he said you were still on. So, I think he's turned off his radio, though. Anyway, not much going on here. It's a cloudy day again. It was cloudy most of yesterday, too. I know Seafair likes to have sunshine, but... I got a few little projects around the house and then I just realized I got to start packing to leave for Bigfoot Friday morning and I'm going to miss your ice cream net. Oh, boy, and I love ice cream. I'll be up roughing in the woods, you know. No facilities where we're going, so... You know, water, toilet, and everything. So, it's... And lots of, you know, radio gear. People talk about their go-back radio gear. I figure radio gear is only about 20 to 25% of what I have to take up there to survive. So, oh, well. It's fun. I last, hopefully, then we come home exhausted. So, anyway. So, we'll be coming, leaving Friday morning and coming back Tuesday morning. So, anyway. Hey, Jack, thanks for running the net. You do a great job all the time. Everybody have a safe day. Whiskey Alpha 7 Alpha Delta. All right, Michael. Well, we'll miss you, that's for sure. But, you know, we'll have some pictures up on the internet, of course. On the Facebook discussion group page. I can send you some off to the side of the side road if you like. That's not a problem. But real quick, how many runners are going to be in the Bigfoot 200 this year? Have you heard yet? And, you know, you might, you know, for nighttime activities, you might take one of those little battery-operated karaoke machines over you, Michael. Oh, Jack, laughing here, but you don't want to hear me sing. So, that's just the way it goes. Oh, and I'll tell you a little story where he's not listening. He can sing in Japanese because he knows Japanese. He surprised all the people when he worked over there for four years. So, anyway. Um, I don't know which other question it was. Uh, anyway. Well, I'm just texting you. Um, let's see. Um, I can't remember your second or your first question, so come back and tell me. Oh, I was just asking if you know how many runners are in the Bigfoot 200 this year. No, I don't, Jack. I can go online and figure out if they max out, though, every year and leave it out. Those people pay faster here was like $1,500 a year. Um, or maybe it was more. Probably more this year with inflation. But, uh, it's amazing. You know, there are all sorts of these self-supported. And the first groups that come through, you've got bakers and people there with food and everything. And, you know, the strikers near the end are, you know, they're socially self-supported. They don't have anybody to pick them up. And people have to haul them places. And, um, anyway, it's. But it's maxed out every year. And there's a waiting list. In fact, all of them. You know, they have actually four races now. They have, um, the Tahoe 200, the Moab, the B-8. And, um, the Ford, I think. If I remember correctly, the Arizona 300. Um, probably in the middle of winter because it's warm down in Arizona. So, um. Anyway, and it's amazing. People like to do all four in a year. I don't know, Jack. Maybe I was 22 still. But we'll be up there with our microphones and our antennas. Probably a long wire. And a vertical, my vertical eagle one on the back of my pickup truck. And, uh, I'm gonna use my elk. And I'm gonna put my J-bolt on and probably another, um, um, 2 meter rig. So, um. Uh, so we'll have radios galore and pop-up tents and all kinds of stuff. So, anyway, Jack. Thanks for asking. Have a great day. Thanks again for doing these great nets. We'll see you in the next one. Alright, Michael. Michael, good luck to you and everybody volunteering for that amazing event, Bigfoot 200. Alright, well, hey, thanks for checking in today. Good to hear you. And somebody is really trying to get a hold of you. It's probably Larry going, Hey, I think Jack's idea about the karaoke machine is a good one. So, think about that. Or he's probably gonna chastise you for revealing the fact that he can sing in Japanese. Anyway, Larry, I hope you're doing well too. Nice to hear you there, Michael. Alright, let's see if there's anybody else for the 9 o'clock net. 10, 12 a.m. Call, sign a name if so, come ahead. K9BC, Brooks, mobile. Let's get Brooks in here. Right now, K9BC, he of the trips to Leavenworth with the family and friends and stuff. How are you, Brooks? Go ahead. Good morning, Jack and everyone on the net. K9BC, Brooks here, mobile 405 South, just about to get on 167 South here. On this overcast Monday, you know what though? It's okay, because it's nice to have a little bit cooler temperatures for a little bit. As long as those take around too long. But Leavenworth was great. It was really warm. We had a good time over there, nice and relaxing. Able to get out and take the dogs for a swim in the river. Got a nice late evening walk and saw some really cool views out there. And the moon was out during the day, Megan got a picture of that. With the moon out and the big mountain in the background and the lake in the foreground, I don't know, it looked really cool. But anyway, back to work today. Got a busy week ahead of us. A lot of stuff going on this week and this weekend of course with the rain or shine coming. Let's see, I'm going to a Seahawks preseason game this week on Thursday, so that should be a lot of fun. And trying to get the office all ready to be painted and have the popcorn ceiling removed. Just got a lot going on. With that, I'll say thanks for doing the Natsack 7-3, everyone. K9, BDC. Alright, yeah, I totally forgot about the Seahawks preseason game. Who are they playing? These are playing the Raiders, which should be pretty cool because you know who's coaching the Raiders now. Oh, and you know who's their quarterback now. Alright, spoiler alert, Pete Carroll and Geno Smith. K9, BDC. Oh, can you say grudge match? Let's go see if Brooks can say grudge match. Grudge match? Lunch? K9, BDC. Of course you can say it. Hey, thank you so much Brooks. You enjoy that game. I tell you, we do have a lot of things going on this week. The rain or shine Natsack. Well, I thank all of you. So I thank all of you for joining us tonight for the Saturday, August 9, 9 o'clock net. I'd also like to thank the Puget Sound Repeater Group for the use of this repeater. For more information about the group, please check out our website at psrg.org. PSRG has been hosting daily nets for over 30 years. The nets are a great opportunity for you to test your equipment. Remember, if you don't test your equipment, we can't hear you. I'll now be returning the repeater to normal operation. This is Dean KG7ODB signing off at 1023 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. Good evening. KG7ODB, Dean, are you still there? Oh, of course I'm still here. In fact, I have to still be here because to me there's nothing worse. I know sometimes people have long nets and they want to get to sleep and they have somewhere to go, but some net controllers just turn off the radio immediately after they're done. But I had to stick around for a few minutes anyway in case people, maybe there's a straggler or people have questions. Hey, we didn't get a squirrel report from you tonight. Over to you. Oh my God, how did I forget the squirrels? Well, they were out on the patio and we're very happy we're doing quality checks by eating the nuts I gave them and they approved. They're just running every which way and chasing each other and generally have a good squirrel day so that they're all doing well. I got a question about you and being in net control. This is, I guess it almost sounds like this is the first time you've been in net control, but I don't think that doesn't sound right. Okay, so officially this is probably the first time, but back about 10 years ago, there was, I think it was on a Sunday night, and there was a guy, Tyler, he was AF7BO. He was the net controller. I think it was him who missed his net. And so they needed someone, so it was like, who's going to run the net? So I faked it. And I think there were probably, I got about 10 check-ins. And I think the reason I've never done another, I've never really gotten into it, I've been asked. But for a long time I was very busy with work and I was also helping a guy named Daniel, KL7WM, do ham radio classes. And I also had the ACS people asking me if I wanted to join them. So it was one of those things where I could only do so much and I knew that if I jumped in or if I did it, it could be one of those rabbit holes. But officially, this is probably the first time that I've done it. So it's probably easier than doing Parks on the Air phone activation. That takes some guts. But anyway, yeah, I hope that answers your question. Over to you, KG70DB. Okay, yeah, you got a natural flair for this. Like I see you doing it down the road again. And yeah, you just got a good voice for it and a way of talking. So I think you're just a natural net controller. So you definitely have my vote to continue on with this. So I hope we do it again because you did quite well, AB6MB. It helps that I also listen and participate in the net. So I know the call signs too. So if I were on some net where it was a bunch of people I didn't know, I'd probably crash and burn. But yeah, it was fun. I'll do it when I can. I can't really do it during the week. Well, during the day I'm working. I'm also salaried. So there might be a conflict if I'm on work hours for the new net. And then at night a lot of times I'm kind of winding down. And sometimes I'll check in the evening nets and I'm barely coherent because I'm falling asleep. Not because of the content of the net but just because it's been a long day. But yeah, I'll be happy to be part of the lineup of people who can jump in from time to time. So over to you. Yeah, I get what you're saying. I guess Saturday night and Sunday night sounds like a good fit for you because you're not working, you're not burned out. Got a chance to sleep in and rest up and get on there. I just enjoyed listening to you tonight. I said, man, he hasn't done this before. He must have. He must have. You did a good job. So, okay, Dean, I won't hold you. But thank you very much for doing it. It was appreciated. AB6MB. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7. Thanks a lot, Jeff. I appreciate that. The only other thing I'll say is it does make me now want to go out and get a headset and like a foot pedal so I can be writing things down or typing things. And I know Jack does that. I think Cammy does it too. I'm getting help from Jack but if I were doing this on my own, I'd be like, right now I just have hand mics. So anyway, thanks. I hope you're doing well and stay cool down there. I'm so glad I'm up here in Seattle where it's nice and cool. I know down in California, at least Northern California is not as bad, but down in Southern California and Arizona, it's a little too hot for my taste. So anyway, thanks again. AB6MB. This is KC7 ODB and I'll be monitoring."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T22:24:00+00:00","id":15686,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15685,"text":" Oh, DEED! Isn't this ironic? It's your... Caesar will break it, I think. For neck control. So, anyway... Uh, you're doing a good job. You know, from what I can hear. Uh... I'm freaking in and out of, uh, nap. You know, from what my medication is telling me to do. So anyway... And, Miss Elaine was just up. She's getting, uh... She's getting, uh... A whole house generator estimate next week. So that's good for her. You know, down in Florida. Sometimes she goes DEEDs into weeks without electric. You know, just like us up here. I was calling her. What I have. You know, but, uh... Maybe that's not a good fit for her. Down there, so... I told her to check with her. Propane dealer. And see what they recommend. You know? So... That's what she's gonna do. But, uh... So, anyway... My day here was beautiful. No clouds in the sky. No humidity. It was very low. And, uh... The broad proper... Was steady. 30... 30... 66... Is steady. So I think that was pretty good. So... Back to your team. Jack. Keep an eye on them. I think he's gonna be at all far. You know? JC2. SDO. Back to that control. Alright, Charlie. Thank you so much. I appreciate your check-in. And, um... Yeah, thanks for giving Elaine all the advice on the power backup and all that. So... Before we go to the next round, I'm gonna just sort of give a comment on the full moon. Yes, I'm looking out my window right now. And the moon is coming up. It reminds me of... Several years ago, back in 2016, I went to a Neil Young concert and it was outside. And I think they perfectly timed it where the moon is right about where it is now. It's just, you know, coming up over the horizon. And Neil did this song called Harvest Moon, which is like one of his really great, kind of nice... It's like the perfect song for a, like, 85 degree summer evening that this was down in Indio, California. So... Anyway, I'm gonna hand it over to Jack. KG7 ODB. Alright, Dean. We'll have to admit that I agree with everybody. And it's easy to admit that you're doing a fantastic job. I knew you would. I've always tried to twist your arm far enough that you'd actually come in and help either do a net or run a net. And I'm just so glad I finally convinced you to do it today. So thank you so much. I will have to step out at this point. So since I am going to do that, I want to say thank you everybody for checking in tonight. Dean's gonna run the rest of the net. He's gonna do a fantastic job. And thank you again, Dean. Oh, and recently, Dean, I just wanted to tell you, I've been listening to Neil Young live at Canterbury House, 1968. That whole show is just, it's just amazing. Oh, man. If some of you have not heard that show, go ahead and listen to it. It's on the internet. Just beautiful. Anyway, alright, Dean. Thank you again. This is Jack. KI7R, we're leaving you all in the cable hands of Dean. KG7ODB. Dean, take it away. Thank you. Alright, Jack. Thank you so much for your help tonight. And I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. And so, anyway, so let's wait a couple seconds. Okay, everyone, Jack is gone. So now we can have some real fun. Just kidding. Well, what we're gonna do now is we're gonna go on to round five. I don't have Jack helping me with this, so I'm gonna be, you might have to give me a little rope here. So, anyway, please come forward. Call sign a name. KI7R, KI7ODB, TREE. And it was really quite nice except for one thing, it took up just all of our living room to the point that it's just that narrow walkways to get in and out. And it kind of blocked off, you know, it's open, but that kind of closed off. And so we decided to get rid of half of it and I set about creating a plan to extract it out of there and then move another piece to where the one that we were moving was going to be gone. And it was just very heavy, so I brought, took out the old reciprocal saw and cut that sucker down into eight individual liftable pieces and that was quite fulfilling. So anyway, that's all loaded in my trailer and it's going to make it run to the dump tomorrow probably. Let me pause. And on Friday we've been waiting for it. We had gotten a 3D printer that's called an Ender 3 Pro that's kind of just a basic one and that got us totally addicted into it. And then we got another model called an Anycubic Cobra S1 and that kind of failed within the first day or so and it was a panda clone. Panda is like the Cadillac of them all. And we set that back and on Friday received delivery of our new Panda Labs P1S. And it's just a phenomenal printer. It's twelve times faster than the old one that we had. And we're just having so much fun with it. I've got probably 200 hours worth of printing to do just to make some cool accessories for the P1S. And so we're having a riot doing all those things and picking them out and then building them and that's consuming my time. So that's all I've got. It's Magoo, Kilo Kilo 7s and the Bubba Juliet. Back to Ned. I was just trying to picture you hacking the sectional into eight pieces like they're methodically loading it up. Yeah, good on you. Sounds like a lot of work there but probably satisfying there. And yeah, congrats on that new 3D printer. It sounds like you did get the Cadillac of sorts. So like the other one crapped out on you very quickly there. So have fun with all that 3D printing. Definitely want to see some of the stuff that you're making there. So very cool. Thanks for the check in. We'll catch you down a lot. Alright, three more on this round. I am Brian, KE7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock net on the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. Dean, you're going to be up next. KG7ODB. How are you tonight, Dean? Please give us a report. Good evening Brian and everybody on the net. This is Dean, KG7ODB. Doing well tonight. It was a nice day today. Went over to the Rain or Shine at, or I should say the Ice Cream Social at Green Lake. And I saw a lot of people there. As usual, I don't want to mention everybody's name because I know I'll forget somebody. But I did want to mention John KG7WOI was there. And that was a great thing because there were a number of people. Cami had never met him before. So that was really exciting. But also, so if you ever check into the Saturday morning net, there's always this ongoing thing where John always checks in late in the net, like right around 10-10. And sometimes it's like clockwork. And so the interesting thing is apparently, Theresa and Dana met John today for the very first time. Even though he's been this integral part of their net for years. So anyway, it's always good to see him. And also of course all the other people. One person who wasn't there was Sean, who checked in earlier. KJ70XM. And the problem was, so I stopped off and bought donuts for everybody. Well, the PSRT paid for them. But I always get extra maple bars because that's kind of the humorous mnemonic that came out of Sean's call sign. So there were all these extra maple bars. But I think they were well consumed. So they didn't go to waste. But anyway, I don't really have too much more to add. But yeah, maybe I'll see you at the next one. The next one, really, the antique radio show is almost a rain or shine. So it's like Cammie and Robert are doing their net. And I think Jack's going to be there. So you got the, I don't know, the pieces. So anyway, KJ70DB, back to that. Oh, we should put that on the announcement there that the next, that rain or shine over at Shoreline Community College, August 17th, Sunday. Actually, I already know I will not be able to be there. I have a gig up on one of the islands this weekend. And it's going to be an overnighter. There's no way I'll make the ferry back in time for that. But that does sound like a good time there. So hey, glad to be able to meet John, KJ70WOI. I met him over a decade ago. I know that. But I'm not sure if I've seen him since. So anyway, glad KJ70WOI was there. And it sounds like it was a fun time at the rain or shine ice cream social event there. So very cool. And we'll see each other soon there, Dean. But hey, thanks for the check in. And you have a good night there. All right. Two more on this round. Next up, Michael up in Yukon. So I got to ask, you know, when it's cold all the time, do you eat as much ice cream as the rest of us? How goes that? Michael, Victor Yankee One, Mike Golf Sierra, how are you? Please give us a report."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-10T22:09:33+00:00","id":16030,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16029,"text":" I'm going to start on the check in. This is the show off of the tango whiskey golf county in Wichita Falls, Texas. Anybody who's on the net tonight, it's good to be here again. Sometimes my board gets in the wind, and I'm not able to get on. All right, it's a busy day today. We're 13 minutes away from our 100, 700 micro ride here in Wichita Falls. And so we're doing a little bit of the Angioregionally and the Palm Church, the waste blanket, and all the folks who are coming up to the rest stops and the recent fire vehicles and water trailers and things like that. Getting our supplies ready for our meeting in the 2030s from now, but trying to get all that stuff squared away. And other than that, doing a little bit of research, trying to get some interest in all this fire and maybe get a couple more people checked into y'all's nets every in the evening. So we're kind of working on a cloud hub or a node and doing some research on that and exactly what would it take and where to go and what servers are the better ones and all the way from whichever ones will get us the best throughput to be able to get more people attached in. So that's all that we've got going on here in North Central Texas. And here is Tony. Turn up by 5, 10, and he's off. Thank you. Hey, good stuff there, Tony. Well, tell us after the event how that piece had hotter than hell a bike ride there. It sounds like you're doing a lot of coordination there for the hand radio and the water stations and all that good stuff. So once again, another two examples back to the back of using hand radio in the community for events. We love that around here for sure. So we have some other hubs that connect in. We regularly get the dew drop in and some others there that join us and we get stations checking in from all over the world. We love it there. So let us know how it goes. If I give some constructive feedback, Tony, you're a little bit hot on your mic. It almost sounds like you're just too close. I'd say just back off maybe a couple inches. Not sure what kind of mic or radio you were talking into through the All Star. It was a little bit hot, a little bit overdriven there. Other than that, it sounded good. So thanks for that, Tony. Let us know how it goes. We'll get you down the log. All right, again, I'm Brian, KE7KZH, 859 O'ClockNet. We have three more ins on this round. So up next, Ron, how are you doing tonight? HE7EXM, please give us a report. Well, this is Kate, HE7EXM here. My report goes as follows. I had a nice day today. Although it could have been better had I had a one bus away info that I really wanted. But it wasn't top, so I couldn't tell which bus was supposed to go anywhere close. So I wasn't able to show up to the ringer time, but there are other times. And so I know there was a time when I was supposed to show up at the next one. But I hope everybody had fun over there at the park because that's a good park to go to. Otherwise, I'm doing okay. And I've been wondering why I was feeling kind of, you know, slinky. And it's because it's hot. I didn't count on it to be this warm today. I was thinking like 60s, 70s. I didn't count on it being 80s, but okay. But I'm feeling okay. I didn't count on it being 80s, but okay. Other than that, I had a nice long talk with KJ 7R Dale earlier. Hold on a second. And I was via text, so we were texting back and forth. So I'm pretty sure that anybody that was near KJ 7R Dale heard a little conversation that was going on. But basically I was teasing him. He was teasing me when he started it. I finished it. But of course he had to come back. And so I told him I can't turn the sun off. It doesn't work that way. My arm's not that long. It's about a million miles away. It's kind of hard for me to stretch my arm out that far. But we had a good chat. So that was good. And then I mentioned something about cup cups. So yeah, that conversation was good. But then I also asked him how was his little trip going up the stairs. He said he was fine. Although a little mishap, but otherwise it's fine I guess. But we had a good time chatting via text. And so I know everybody had fun today. And I'm glad they did because that's the way to go. Especially for being almost the end of summer. So who knows. I'm going to go have a good time listening to the rest of you. Because that's the thing to do. And now that I'm going to get us back on. This is KJ7EXM. Turn you back to net control. Like yours. Well, I'm glad you had a great day there, Sean. Even if you didn't make the Rainers shine ice cream net today. I just hope you had a good time. And I'll see you next time. Sean, have you not learned how to turn the sun off yet? Come on. Good luck. You have a great day there, Sean. We'll catch you down the log here real soon. All right. Down to Zephyrhil, Florida we go. Tonight Elaine. And three oink, oink. Otherwise known as oink entry OMO. I'll say it correctly there. How are you tonight, Elaine? This is repeater station Kielo. Thank you, Brian. This is Elaine. And three OMO. I'm doing very well tonight. Thank you. It's been a great day. It's been warm. We felt like 102 degrees. Which is nothing unusual for what it is this time. Had some good things going on. We had some good things going on. We had some good things going on. Had some good things coming up this week. Had to make a phone call tomorrow. I decided to get a generator for the house. Something like a Generex generator. But I have to call a cocaine company. And see how we go about hooking up another extra tank. And if they deal with anybody here like Generex or someone else. For a generator. Because I decided with Rob, my brother, we don't need to be without power or air conditioning or lights. Especially me with my heart problems and COPD. And the animals. They've got to stay cool. So I think this will be a good investment. So I've got to do some digging on that tomorrow. And some other things. Let me see what else. Not very much is happening. It's been a good day. Good week. I decided to get a little more productive. And start writing or doing my pedaling machine twice a day. To make a 30 minutes a day now. And I've got a weekly plan of books that I want to make. And I've got a weekly book that I want to make. And I've got a weekly book that I want to make. And I've got a weekly book that I want to make. And I've got a weekly plan of books that I want to make. And I've got a weekly plan of books that I want to make. And I've got a weekly plan of books that I want to make. And I'm also going to be starting a 52 week travel study for women on my own. So I think that will be a good thing to do. There's certain meetings every day. So that will be good. And I kind of like the idea that it takes Sunday off. So you can catch up with your reading if you've missed any. Or just be with family. Which is the most important. So I'm looking forward to this week to seeing how I can change some of my own behaviors. And make it a little more productive. I still want to watch my game show and things like that too. But I've been sitting too much and not getting as much done as I need to get done. Let me take a break. In 3LMO returning. I also have to start going through all the papers in the house and my desk. And blocking out all of the information I don't want people to know before I shred it. And put it in the garbage. I've got to start doing things like that every week. To try and clear some of this stuff out and get more organized. So when my time comes, and I think it's going to be anytime soon. But when my time does come, my brothers won't have to go through all that and decide what's this and what's that. I can get rid of all the stuff I don't need anymore and make it a lot easier for everyone. So that's my plan for this week. All the animals are doing fine. My brother starts driving school bus tomorrow for the year. And here in Florida, his first pick up is at 521. And school starts at 630. Unbelievable. But then they're out at 1 o'clock. So that works out well. But he doesn't get home until 4. Anytime he picks up all the kids and he gets back to running place and all that, back to his school. But anyway, school starts tomorrow. So everybody have a good day. Good day tomorrow. Or today actually. Because it's quarter to 1 here a.m. So it's a Monday here already. So thanks for taking my call, Brian. 73, 88 to all. I love you all. November 3, ask and like Oscar. Wow, school starts so early there. That is crazy here in the Pacific Northwest. Or at least in Washington state, the Puget Sound area. We usually want to start until the beginning of September. So start so early. But good for Rob for driving the bus there. Keep all the kids safe there for sure. And yeah, I did get a generator installed right when I moved into this house a few months ago. It was one of the first things I did. And yeah, I did. We had to talk to the gas company, natural gas, to see what the line could support. I could not get a whole home generator without them. And I'm not going to get a whole home generator. Without them ripping up all the gas lines. And it would have cost many thousands of dollars. And they would have to remove my beautiful woodedendron bushes and all that good stuff. So I opted for a little bit smaller generator that covers all the essentials there. So I figured, eh, it's good enough in that emergency. So definitely good luck with that. And waves over to Rob and his first day driving the kids tomorrow. We'll catch you down the log there, Elaine. You have a good night. Alright, and then last on this round, we're going to go and see how Javier is doing over in Bremerton. Kilo Mike 7, Alpha, Quebec, November. How are you tonight? Please give us your report. Good evening guys, this is Javier, Kilo Mike 7, Alpha, Quebec, November. Just to let you know, I'm a movie here. I did my second time here and then I went to the 9 o'clock AM net. I just did my first IO. I'm just here to learn from you guys and just be people. Naturally from the island of Puerto Rico. And I moved to the States in 2010. Due to the nature of my job, I'm an aircraft mechanic. I've been around all the country. But then in 2019, I decided to move to the beautiful Pacific coast. In Seattle, I live at Howard. Right now I'm at Port Orchard. Working actually working on an aircraft for the rest of the week here. But yeah, I'm just here to meet all this great group of friends and camaraderie around here. And hope to learn more. I apologize for the first try that I did, the first transmission. I was trying to test my HD. Looks like the battery was a little bit low. That's why I had to go through the EcoLink. But it's just baby steps in learning. Guys, 73.12, you guys and 88. Have a good night guys. Hey, well good stuff to have you here. I just welcome welcome. Sounds like you did an I.O. this morning. But what you stumbled upon and it gets you figured out. We are here at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. seven days a week. We also have a new net that happens every day. And so yeah, there are other nets that happen around here. So we're really glad you stumbled upon the Puget Sound Repeater Group. And again, more information about our group. We have a website there called psrg.org. We also have a Facebook page which has a lot of activity that's going on. So if you head over to Facebook and you do a search. If you have Facebook. And you do a search for the Puget Sound Repeater Group discussion group. It is a closed group but if you request membership. It's pretty easy to get in there. You answer a couple of quick questions there. We do have over a thousand members in there. And so there's a lot of good topics. We do a lot of in-person events. There's even one today over at Green Lake Park. So this is a very friendly group of people. We have, how do you say, we have new hams, old hams, seasoned hams, black forest hams. We've got it all. So yeah, if you're looking for those elmers. You definitely are in the right place. So yeah, when you check in the first time you were just barely hitting the repeater. So I'm not sure what equipment you have. But hopefully you can get that battery charged. And if you have an antenna you can hook up. We do have a lot of people over on the peninsula. You know, Paulsboro, Bremerton. Even, what is that, oh, Kingston, like over there. We have a lot of people over on that side of the ladder as well. So definitely welcome, welcome. I hope to catch you down the log here, Javier. And good luck working on that plane this week. All right. Oh yeah, so sorry. One thing that we ask, it's kind of an FCC format. Actually, let me reset. Sorry, you're taking a really long time there. One thing that we ask, and it keeps the FCC happy. And it notifies to me that you're done with your transmission. Is that you close with your call sign. So let me just send it back to you. Let me know what kind of radio that you are using. And how you're trying to make it into the net with RF. And then just close with your call sign. Back to you, Javier, real quick. Yes, sir. So I was just trying with my FP5, my GASU FP5. I was just trying with that. Like I said, I just got it a few days ago. I'm in programming channels, setting up tones, offsets and everything. Even though the GASU does a lot of the work for you. But actually, yeah, I'm just looking forward. And people are looking forward to it. I'm just looking forward. And keep learning and keep learning. And I appreciate for that. And back to you, the control. This is Kilo Mike 7, Alpha Quebec November. Have a good night. Yeah, you stood to be in. Total BN. All right. Very good. Thank you for that report. I hope to catch you down the log there. All right. I am Brian KE7KZH, the 69 o'clock net. And I am the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. There's a long list here. So if you're waiting to check in, just hold off a few more minutes. I'm going to read a few announcements. Let me reset. So I do pull these announcements over from that Facebook PSRG discussion group that I mentioned just a little bit ago. Jack KI7RMU keeps a pinned topic. So if you click under, if you're in the group and you click on the featured, it will be right at the top there. So if you miss anything I'm about to say, just head on over there for more details. The first thing here, every Saturday, we have a couple of recurring events. The first one is the Radio Club of Tacoma has their open house. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. club members and their guests and visitors are all welcome. The other thing that happens Saturday evening is the Simplex net. This is in the Puget Sound area here. So at 8 p.m. every Saturday on 146.56 we do a Simplex net. It's really cool to be able to see who you can talk to with VHF without a repeater in between you. The magic of radio propagation. It's very eye-opening sometimes who you can hear and talk to can hear you without that repeater. So if you haven't joined, it's a lot of fun. Check that out Saturday night 8 p.m. 146.56. We do have a swap meet coming up here. The PSARA antique radio and vintage electronics swap meet will be held up at Shoreline Community College on Sunday, August 17th, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shortly after that we do have the Wooded Boat Festival coming to Port Townsend. That will be the weekend of September 5th through 7th. We also, let's see, coming up into October. Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's getting close to October already. We do have the Tour de Forest ARA Rally. We have a lot of folks in this group that participate in the rallies. They even participate in the radio communications of the event. Or just spectating and stuff. Always a good time there. Saturday, October 4th will be that Tour de Forest ARA Rally. Let me reset. Alright, we do have, let's see, the Cascadia Radio Group will be hosting a ham connect program. This is going to be on Sunday, October 5th at 3 p.m. It is a virtual event. If you have any questions or would like more information, you can email info at SeattleEmergencyHubs.org. You can also head right over to HamConnect.org for more information. And with that, I'm just going to go ahead and say again, if you missed anything, please head over to the PSRG discussion group over on Facebook. If you missed any of those websites or dates, that will have all the information. So let's turn it back to check-ins here. I am Brian, KE7, KZH. This is Nine O'clock Net. Let's see who else is out there. All stations, please come now. Call sign and first name. Madeline, KJ7, NUW. KJ7, NUW, Madeline. And then I did hear Mike, VU, right after that. Alright, more stations, please. KE9IQX, Amy. Alright, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. KE9IQX, Amy. KE9IQX, you're number three on this round. More stations, come ahead. KJ7, KJ7. Alright, Lagoon, sorry. Can you give me your call sign? I should have it memorized one more time. KELO, KELO7, FULU, Papa Juliet. There it is. I got the Papa Juliet. I was blanking on the beginning there. KK7ZPJ, I got you. And I also did hear KG7ODB. I'm writing it down. Dean, you're on the list. More stations for Nine O'clock Net, come ahead."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-15T21:51:44+00:00","id":16946,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16945,"text":" Good evening Rebecca and everybody on the net. This is Dean, KG7 ODB. I don't have anything really profound to say tonight. Yeah, that was interesting about the earthquake in Australia. It made me think about how, you know, I haven't felt an earthquake in years. I think, so in 2001 there was the 6.8 Nisqually earthquake and I think I've felt one earthquake since then. And it seemed like, I don't know, the first several years I lived here, it seemed like every few years there was one. So maybe that's good news, maybe it's bad news, maybe the pressure is building up. But anyway, I hope everybody is okay down there. And that includes people's pets because pets have a tendency to act a little weird during earthquakes. There was a video I saw on YouTube a while back that was very interesting. What it showed was, it showed dogs. What would happen is the dog would suddenly like perk up, look around, and then like two seconds later the earthquake would hit. It's like the dog is possible. I mean, I don't know, sometimes there's a little bit of a low frequency thing that happens before it really starts to hit. But it's possible that it would hit. And it starts shaking, but it's just interesting. But I've heard that one of the things I remember is there was a guy who was trying to predict earthquakes years ago. And one of the things he would do is back when they had newspapers, people would put ads in there where they would say, okay, my cat is missing or my dog is missing. And he had this theory that when animals, when there's a spike in missing animals, it means that they are uneasy because they're picking up on something to do with the earthquake. And then, I don't know, I thought that was interesting to say the least. Anyway, sorry the net went so slow, but I guess that's good for you, Rebecca, because you can now go about your evening. But it seems a little early for the net to end. So anyway, KG7 ODB 73, and have a great weekend, everyone."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-16T12:12:45+00:00","id":17184,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":17183,"text":" KG7 ODB"},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-16T09:15:43+00:00","id":17094,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":17093,"text":" KG7 ODB"},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-07-30T21:37:38+00:00","id":11739,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":11738,"text":" Megan, if you're listening and everybody on the net, yeah, this is Dean, KG70DV. I don't have a whole lot going on, but I do also, you know, I'm noticing that days are getting shorter. That's, the problem with it is it kind of lights a fire underneath me. I need to get out and, you know, do some things, do so, do some camping and do some parks on the air, do some more of them. I've done a handful of them this year, but not quite at the clip I was doing them last year, but I've made, I'm always hunting. I always have my radio on. And so one of the things I can do with Grid Tracker is I can put call signs in there. And when a particular call sign shows up on FT8, it'll read out that call sign. So I'll know, like if I'm passively, like if I just have it running in the background, I can't just be watching it the whole time. One of the stations I've got stored in there is Mike Mike Zero Romeo Kilo November, because she's talked about doing, Carrie's talked about doing FT8 a bunch of times. And it's kind of hard to get Scotland from here. I mean, I have gotten other stations from Scotland, but one of these days, the propagation will work out and I will get that contact with her. That would be really cool. So anyway, hope you have a, run, run, run. And that goes for everybody else on the net. This is a KG7 ODB."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-16T21:46:21+00:00","id":17570,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":17569,"text":" KG7 ODB."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-05T22:14:49+00:00","id":14407,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":14406,"text":" Good evening Mike and I wanted everybody to talk about milkshakes and ice cream and what not. Now I really want some and it's getting pretty late. Probably too late for me to have that kind of stuff but wow. I wish I had some ice cream in the freezer. I think I have some popsicles in there though. Mike your signal was fading in and out a bit. You started off a little bit scratchy and then you know it would get pretty clean. And then get a little bit scratchy again. I was watching the microscope and you were pretty strong on I think it was magnolia. And then it would seem not very strong on magnolia. I'm not sure if you were moving around or if there was something that was causing your signal to come in and out. But I got your whole report and I just wanted to give you that feedback on the signal. So there you go. I hope that you have a great rest of your evening or night I guess it is. And 73 to you all of the members I hope to see you at the ice cream social coming up as well. And I'll talk about that more in a little bit when I do some announcements. Next up we have for Gulf India November Yankee Sierra. Come ahead how are you? Thank you very much for controlling. Good evening there in Seattle Washington and good afternoon from here in the Philippines. This is a station at for Gulf 1 November Yankee Sierra. For G1 and YS my name is Steven. You can sit here in the kind of city Philippines. Five minutes before one or three in the afternoon here of last day. And weather conditions are quite overcast and expecting of some rain here in my location. Just coming up and supporting the Puget Sound repeater net. Several of these to all of you. And my special thanks also to Joan, to Brooks, to Megan and everybody else for doing very very well in handling the social nets three times a day. The routine is out. Send it back to control for G1 and YS. Well it's great to hear from you all the way from the Philippines. Thanks for staying up and to come and check in with us to say hello. And thank you for your kind words. I hope that you take care, seven three and have a great rest of your night. Next up we have Dean, KJ7 ODD. How are you doing Dean? Good evening Cami and Robert and everyone on the net. I think Robert is asleep. Say hello to him for me. I hope everything is ok with Paul and Moxie. Normally I wouldn't say this but he never misses a net. It's very rare. I hope he's on a vacation or something like that. When you mention the Pyrex, I immediately went and grabbed this Pyrex measuring cup. It's funny because the lines only go up to one cup but you can easily fill it to two cups. I assumed I probably had an old one because it is old. I bought this thing probably in the early 90s. I remember originally buying it for doing photography for darkroom stuff. It's got the lower case logo on it. The upper case, the real vintage ones must be pre 1993 or something like that. Other than that, all this ice cream talk. Now I'm really hungry for ice cream. The other day I went to Molly Moon up on Capitol Hill with Rebecca and Matt. He had flown up from Oregon for seafare. It was kind of a jumbled trip for him because they wouldn't allow him to land at Boyne Field. He had to go to Auburn and Rebecca picked him up. He was still able to get together with a couple of us. For Rebecca and I, it was great seeing him. I hope it was worth the trip for him. Other than that, I look forward to the ice cream social. That should be a lot of fun. I remember the one a few years ago. KG7 ODB, back to that. It's always great to hear your voice. I've never been to Molly Moon before. I know exactly where it is and the one you're talking about. For whatever reason, I've just never been there. Let me ask you this. Have you ever gone to the Salt and Straw that's up there on Capitol Hill? I think they might have a couple of other locations as well. Back over to you, KG7 ODB. No, I have not been there. I've heard of it. But I don't believe. I'm trying to remember. I did go to an ice cream place. If you know where Pneumo's is, it's almost an alley. There's an inn there. I remember my sister and her husband and I about a year ago had ice cream in there. I can't remember if that was the name of the place. Anyway, I would suspect that Capitol Hill has so much good food up there and different places you can go. But you all have to look that up. Maybe it's good that there isn't a good ice cream place right near me. I was actually thinking, oh God, Joan lives like a block away. It must be really tough for her. In fact, she's probably going to run out and grab some ice cream now. I don't know if they're still open. They probably are. Anyway, back to you, KG7 ODB. Well, you'll definitely have to try the Salt and Straw. They have some pretty unconventional flavors of ice cream. I'll just leave it at that. They always have really good stuff. Then that made me think of Snow Goose that's up here near La Conner. It's at this fruit stand and we would drive by there. It would just be packed with cars. We would think, what in the world is going on here? I'm sure the produce is good, but is it really that good? There's that many cars just piled up at this fruit stand. One day we decided to stop. We decided we've got to go see what all the fuss is about about this produce stand. Well, come to find out, it's because they have an ice cream shop and not only an ice cream shop. They make the biggest ice cream cones I've ever seen. You see these grown-ups walking around with these scoops of ice cream that are about as big as their head. You can get more than one scoop and some people do. If we're able to lure you up north again, we'll take you up to Snow Goose. We can get ridiculously large ice cream cones. There's a pretty garden area where you can wander around and look at all the plants and stuff. Now I really, really, really want ice cream. There you go. Thanks so much for stopping by, Dean. I hope you have a great rest of your night. Next up and finishing us out on this round is Brian, PE-7KZ-8. How are you doing, Brian? Hey, you're giving me a candy and the rest of the net. You know, so you just gave me like, this is why I work from home most of the time. Because there is literally a salt and straw in the caf\u00e9 of the building where my office is. So I have to walk by that all the time. You know, the funny thing is though, it closes early. It's only open at lunchtime. So honestly, when I'm there at lunch, I'm not likely to get ice cream. But like, kind of later in the day is when I would want it. And they're closed. So I guess that stops the temptation. Although I do tend to bring home, there's a Ticabella cupcake on the bottom floor there too. And I have brought home some cupcakes. But I can bring home and share with the wife and kids. Anyway, all right, Brian, PE-7KZ-8, huge preamble there. I just got back from Yellowstone and then down to Utah for a family reunion. Good times had by all. So, an excellent trip. It was kind of annoying. I've been on call for work. And I guess the good thing about that is the shift starts at 6 a.m. So I've already used to kind of getting up really early so even with the time change and stuff. And knowing we needed to get up early most of the days to like get into the park and all that good stuff. Just get on the road. That made it kind of easy and stuff. What wasn't easy is no one was covering my on-call shift Friday. So I had to do it from the road. Traveling through Idaho and Utah and I think part of Montana all while on call. And in a call for much of that. So thank you Starlink in the center of my car for making that happen. It worked quite well I must say. So anyway, let me reset real quick. Sorry, it's a long one tonight. I'm usually pretty quick. Anyway, it was a good trip. It was good to see a bunch of family down there in Utah. And went and visited the cemetery like where my, it must be my great great great grandpa. Oh man, there were a lot of really old graves there and stuff. We were wandering around and finding all the relatives and figuring out who's related to what. And all these people used different nicknames and so like who's Clement? Oh that was Bud. Oh, okay. I can't remember. Anyway, it was a good time. So I'm here at home and glad to be back and sleep in my own bed. Pretty exhausted. Still on call for work within all of this. So with that, that'll come nice and early tomorrow morning. So with that, I'll send it back. Thanks for picking up the net there. Chaney waves to Robert. It sounds like he's off to bed. And hopefully we can catch you all Sunday. I'm hoping to go. I'm hoping to go. Bye. Ice cream, ice cream. TZ7, TZ7, he's back to net. Brian, I would be doomed if there was a salt and straw anywhere near where I work or live. So it's probably a good thing that we don't have anything like that in Arlington. And even if we did, everything closes by six o'clock. So unlike Capitol Hill where there's a line out the door at 11 p.m., there's nothing like that here. But again, probably a good thing for me. And Marysville has a little bit more open a little bit later than we do here, but not nearly as much as they do in the city or Capitol Hill. And well, the traveling sounds fantastic. And what's up, multi-tasking, working and traveling? I'm glad that you're able to do that, though, so you're not, so you are able to go. That's great. And yeah, Robert's been asleep for some time. So it's way past his bedtime. He's got to get up really early and go to work. So do I, but I never sleep, so that works out pretty well for me. Great to hear from you, Brian. I hope that you do make it to the Ice Cream Social and then we can all have ice cream together. 7-3, thank you. All the numbers. You have a great day. Speaking of the Ice Cream Social, I could probably do some announcements. I'm going to reset and we'll go through the announcements."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-07T21:59:42+00:00","id":15107,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15106,"text":" KI7RMU, KK7IJZ. Oh hi Rebecca, thank you so much for doing the net. We're monitoring the situation with one of the stations that just checked in recently, so I just want to let everybody know we're on the lookout for updates on that. And so just everybody stand by if you can. Alright, okay, thank you so much and we wish for a positive outcome. KI7RMU, back to you Rebecca. Thank you so much for that Jack. I appreciate you and I, yes, I appreciate your kindness and empathy and the amount of care and thoughtfulness that you put into our club and our super fun social nets. So thank you so much Jack73. Alright, we had an I.O. from Robert, KJ7JXM and we also had an I.O. from Cammie, KJ7RAB. And, whoops, I just kicked Andy, oh my poor little dog. Next on the list is Megan, K9MLR. Hey Megan, please come ahead with your report. Good evening Rebecca and everyone out there on the net. K9MLR, Megan here at home in Newcastle. I am currently working on the Rain or Shine ice cream social tickets. So that's kind of funny. Printed them all out in color on cardstock and now I'm cutting them down because I printed two per page and they don't need to be that big. I am currently working on that. It has been a busy evening. Brooks, K9VDC is at the Seahawks game. So I am at home with the station managers and Rebecca, I made dinner, cleaned up dinner, I painted the trim in his office because the popcorn ceiling is coming down this weekend and it is getting a beautiful fresh coat of paint. And let me tell you Rebecca, even painting the trim, the walls don't look white anymore. So it was kind of funny. I was like, oh, those walls now look yellow. So that's what I have been up to trying to get caught up so many little things going on that if I don't stay ahead I get behind and I can't get behind right before the school year starts. So that's what I'm up to. Thank you for doing the net 33 to you, Rebecca, Kami and all the other YOs out there, K9MLR. Well, thank you so much for that report, Megan. That's fun. Painting, painting, painting. There's nothing like a fresh coat of paint. Honestly, chef's kiss. I'm a big fan of color. I love color. I love color and I love flavor. And I have to explain those. Just imagine that I'm texting an old cat. I love color and I love flavor. Yeah, but have fun. It's going to be fun. Yeah. We'll have a fun night in. You girls have a fun night in. I hope you do a lot of, I don't know, dog stuff and people stuff and yeah, sign the tickets. Thank you so much, Megan, for everything you do and you are awesome. 33 and all the YOs out there, Kami. Awesome. 33 and all the numbers. This is Rebecca, KK7IJZ. And next on the list is Jim and Jay at Deer Lake. K7PDZ, KK7IJZ. Well, good evening there, Rebecca and everybody out there tonight. Yeah. What am I doing here? Oh yeah, that's what I'm trying to do is get up the Vodascope and I don't know where it is. There it is. Anyway, yeah, tonight, you know, I've talked about our C cycle in the past. This pedal thing that we have that uses real propellers and chain drive and everything. And we finally got nav lights on it. And so tonight we took it out after sunset. And so we had a lot of fun. There was one other fishing boat on the lake. It's cold over here tonight. It's only 61 degrees. But it's a bit windy, but it's calmed down tonight and we had the whole lake to ourselves. But anyway, it was fun being out there after dark with real, honest to goodness, nav lights on the C cycle. So there were so many, so many iterations of how are we going to put lights on this thing. Because it's plastic, you know, we can't drill holes through it. You can't glue something to it. Suction cups don't work. And so anyway, finally everything came together and we bought the lights and it's up and running. And so tonight was our major voyage, so to speak, after sunset. And we had a good time. So anyway, whatever the thing they're talking about with Jack, I tuned in a little bit late after the net got started. So I don't know what that's about, but I'm going to certainly listen out the rest of it and see what that's about. So anyway, back to you, Rebecca. Rebecca, 737, everybody, and have a great weekend. This is Jim and Kay in a tier-light K7. Well, Jim, thank you so much for your report. And yeah, it was fun. Yeah, I have heard about your C cycle, but yeah, that's fun. That's fun. You two have fun. I love it. I love it so much. 33 Jane, and thank you so much, Jim, for checking in and have fun. Have fun out there on Dan Lake. Woo hoo. All right, next and last on this list is James just outside of Detroit. And the last part of your call sign is WW. I always forget to write down the whole thing even though I know it's like W4WW. That's not what it is. But James, please come ahead with your report. Net control, W8WW. Good evening, Rebecca and everyone on the net. I just got home. I'm playing 16 hours on P25. Got another 16 planned for tomorrow. Don't know if I mentioned this before. I have an ICOM ID5100. And I found out that RT Systems now allows you to light your settings to the SD card rather than having a programming cable. And I've been setting everything up with that, which is a hell of a lot easier than using the ICOM software. I mean, I spent the meager funds to purchase the software. And in, I'd say, 30 minutes, it was able to give me everything I need. That was taking me over two hours struggling with the ICOM software. But, yeah, I had some discussions with various parties about my uncle's estate today. So, looks like I'm going to try to sell the two ICOM 706s. I have one's a Mark IIG and the other's, I believe, just a Mark II on that. So I've got to get those listed for sale. I think one of them is going to have the ICOM antenna tuner for screwdriver antennas. I don't think it's made by ICOM. But that and the other, I probably might package the head separation kit and go from there. But I need to get things going on that. But nothing else here. Oh, yeah. I had an incident on a ladder over the past month, twice. Turns out I have an occult fracture in my fibia, which I guess is the same thing as called an airline fracture. But they call it the occult because it's usually not visible on the x-ray, but the MRI picked it out. So with that, we'll send it back to you, Rebecca. W8WU here outside Detroit. Be sure to gloss over that last part, James. So is it so that you injured yourself on the first fall and then the second fall was just like icing on the cake? Also, why are you falling? What's going on? What's going on with you, James? Why are you falling off the ladders? Back to you. Okay, Rebecca, I have to wait there. I guess somebody had an open carrier for a moment. So the reason why I was up on the ladder twice, one was braced to the side of the house as I was trying to adjust the mounting. I was able to eventually get my dual-band base station antenna up about 20 to 25 feet above the roof line and finally got that taken care of. But the first time, the hinges on this new ladder for some reason didn't lock in, so the ladder collapsed inward. So the top of the ladder went away from the house and so I fell backwards. The second time, I was on the side of the house coming down from the roof and it collapsed lower where it was just clinging to the gutter. When that happened, one of my legs fell through in between the rungs, so I was rather calm on everything. I was working myself because I have a trailer behind me. I was trying to see if I could get my leg out and then jump back onto the roof of the trailer. But that didn't come to being because the ladder eventually slipped. I was hanging on the end of the gutters there. Luckily, somebody attached them to the side of the house with some pretty strong nails because this was near the furthest edge of the house. But the thing is that it folded over into an A-shape below me and I had the current Mrs. Keller where the ladder below me was able to drop down to the bottom of the ladder. So at one point or the other, it happened. Also, it tore the hell out of my left shoulder. I think that probably was from the hanging part. But I visited the orthopedic surgeon on Monday to see what he recommends. The pain and walking, that's totally disappeared, but this shoulder really makes you reminded me of the pain. Back to neck control, W8WW here outside Detroit. James, oh my gosh. Well, you know, I would talk to you about ladder safety, but why bother? We all passed our technician exams and became amateur radio operators. There's a whole section on ladder safety, so that's all I'm going to say. But anyway, James, thank you so much for your report. I love your P25 reports. I feel like one of our regular operators, Andrew, KF7LMX, this is P25 a lot as well. I have to give that, that has more to do with trains, I think. But I love hearing your P25 reports. That's great, James. It's good to hear from you. I hope that someone goes to your house and takes all your letters and throws them in a dumpster that you'll never find. But only, yes, I guess we can't all have what we wish for. 7-3, James. Stay off the ladders. Alright, this is Rebecca, KK7IJZ. You're listening to the 9 p.m. PSRG social net. Let's start another round. Call sign and name, RF and internet. KF7, OK. Doug. What's up, Doug? KF7, OK. Got you on the list. More stations, please. Alpha, Bravo 6. Mike, Bravo. Jeff. Hey, Jeff. Got you on the list. More stations, please. KK7WID, Allen in Bremerton. Hey, Allen. Did you want to, did you need to go ahead and go or do you want to stay in queue? I can stay in queue. Cool. More stations, please. KG7ODB. Hey, Steve. Got you on the list. More stations, please. Keto, Bravo 5. Tango, Whiskey Golf. Tony with an I-hope. Thank you for your I-O. Got you on the list. I-073. Have a great Friday. Thursday night, Friday. I don't know whether it's... Anyway, Jeff. Thank you for your I-073. I'm going to go ahead and draw a line there and go back to Doug. KF7OK, what's going on, Doug? Hey, how you doing? KF7OK. Doug is home in near Linwood. So I'm on grid. I actually have hot and cold running water and electricity. And so thank you for hosting the net and everything and I enjoy listening to everybody. I actually listen a whole lot more than I check in, so, you know, I'm just going to check in more. Life's been good. I'm still chopping some wood that I brought back from my off-grid property and stacking it. I'm kind of slow put together. I'm usually a bit more active when I'm out there, but, you know, slow put together. And yesterday I took today off from it, but I've been logging my workouts for the last seven years. I decided one day I rolled out of bed, I felt like crap. And I thought that, you know what, I'm going to start working out again like I did in my 20s and 30s. And I, without any breaks or anything, I've not taken any breaks in the last seven years, I completed workout number 2,700 and I'm up to, you know, 2,701. So I thought I feel really good. I can make a long list of everything that it fixed in me. No meds, no nothing, perfectly healthy. I'm as strong as I was 30 years ago, literally, and everybody should do it. Other than that, enjoy some ham radio and a little bit of time and I look forward to working in my yard tomorrow. So back to you, KF7OK. Well done. Thank you so much for that report. And yes, 2,701. That's great. Just chopping. What? Just getting slow. You know what? That's fine. Why do you need to go fast? Just go slow. Chop wood slow. Deliver it. Like meditation. You know, just stacking, working in the garden and just being strong. Well, welcome back to Linwood, Doug. And yes, I hope that you get to go back to your off-grid paradise sometime soon. Back to no running water and yes, back to peace and quiet. Back to not Linwood. But anyway, Doug, thank you so much for your report. 73 and I'm looking forward to hearing about workout number 2,702 tomorrow. Next on the list is Jeff in Onion City. How's it going, Jeff? Alpha Bravo Six Mike Bravo, KK7IJZ. Thank you, Rebecca. Thank you for doing the net. Excuse me. Yeah, today, I see a pretty just not a really busy day. Just kind of kick back. And, you know, well, the squirrels were around, you know, so it's fun watching them eating and eating the nuts and the peanuts. And Rocky came by later on and looked in the window at me and, you know, got him some nuts. And, you know, just pretty nice to see them chase each other. They can really move. And I kind of watched the tour de France, the men and women's version of it. And, you know, the women have a different flair on the way they do it. And it's just kind of cool. It's just the difference, I think, intensity. But they definitely are intense, but it just seems like they're, I don't know, it just has, they have a different feel for it. And they're darn good. So anyway, I hit the temperature today, hit around 80 today. And the warmest was better in a few days. And I'm hoping that I'll see tomorrow, supposed to be 84 and 85 the next day than 81. And it's going down into the 70s after that. And I have this quake detector up that I use on my phone that I have over here. And I can glance at it and see what earthquakes have been hitting. They have different alarms set to make noise, but it's called California Seismologist. And it's kind of neat to have there just to see what's going on around the world, earthquake-wise. And then I went over some history today and enjoying that quite a bit because I really enjoy history. I actually watched this program, I haven't finished it. Leonardo da Vinci designed a chateau for this one French king. And just the way he did it was just amazing. And he put all the plans down and then he died before they could start. But they went ahead anyway. And I guess it was pretty amazing just the detail and what he's done. Leonardo da Vinci was simply an amazing man. And I got my weather stations going here. I have a couple of them up. One is from the patio, gives you the temperature and very magnetic pressure. And then the other one does the forecast and wind speed and all that. It's kind of neat to have them both up and I kind of keep an eye on the weather out there that way. And for tonight I had dinner of buttered chicken with brown rice. I got this frozen buttered chicken meal. And I have these bags of brown rice that you can heat up. You know, it's quick to make and I just take the buttered chicken and I pour it over the top of the brown rice. And it's really good. It's just a good tasty meal. I can make two meals out of it which is pretty nice. Anyway, that was my day today. So let me turn it back to the net. AB6MB. KG6RYC. I don't know how much time I have left but one last message out. It seems I'm like a hockey puck or something. Being used in a game, I don't know what the game is called, I don't know, baseball or something, by the Billionaire Boys Club. And these are all kinds of degenerates and stuff like Rauhoti Rahim and Larry Page and all kinds of dumbasses. And now I have a whole, I've been having to deal with two police car chases a day. And now they're shining their lights on me where my thingy shack is. It's unlikely that I'll get out of this alive but yeah, good. KG6RYC. Sorry, you get on with your lives. I'll just die quietly. Back to the net. Well Jeff, thank you so much for your report. I appreciate it. Thank you for the squirrel report. Jack, that was KG6RYC. Patrick. I, yeah, butter chicken. Tonight I made this really great stir fried veggies and then I made some white beans. And then what I do is I'll make a big pot of brown rice and then just like givvy it up and freeze it. So I can take out a portion for whatever meal I need. I guess I think that I'm the only one now who eats rice in the house. Everyone else is on a diet. Well thank you so much Jeff. And did you want to promote your antenna net that's happening tomorrow? Back to you Jeff. Alpha Bravo 6, Mike Bravo, KK7IJZ. KG6RYC, Patrick. I've been told one of the participants is Dubai Chocolate. I went to a neighbouring 7-Eleven near my home, one-five-eight-six-one, north of 8th. And there's one of the certain place jobs. And he's saying in front of him was Dubai Chocolate. I've never seen that brand before. You're the motherfucker. So the light is now shining on me. Bravo. Bye. KG6RYC. Have a nice life. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7 November. Okay. Yeah the antenna net is every Friday night at 7pm. And we have a special time for new hams on there. And if you want to know how to get there, go to my QRZ page and it will tell you to scroll down and then you'll be able to come in via different modes. So back to you there Rebecca, AB6MB. Well thank you so much for that, Beth. And yeah, it's such a great net too. So Jeff is super active on the Papa system in Southern California. And so his antenna net is in the Papa system. So check it out even if you just listen or it's for all sorts of ham radio operators. It's seasoned operators and new hams. And yeah it's a great technical net that happens every Friday 7 o'clock Pacific time. And you can find a link to the net on Jeff's website. I'm not website. QRZ page. QRZ page Alpha Bravo 6 Mike Bravo. Well thanks for coming back with that Jeff. I appreciate it. 7 3 and thank you for the scroll report. Alright next on the list is Alan in Bremerton. KK7WID. Please come ahead with your report. This is Alan in KK7WID. I've been awfully busy all summer. I'm a teacher normally so I'm a summer. I should have lots of free time but I'm busy all summer doing a remodel in the bathroom which is finally done. So I am now able to actually enjoy having a great summer. KF7OK or what's KF6OK? I mentioned working out again and it's been nice now that I'm done with that to actually get back to the gym and sweat and work out. I forgot how much I enjoy the feeling of finishing a workout. Sometimes doing the workout itself is a little unpleasant. But the feeling you get when the workout is done is really really nice. They're not lying when they talk about a runner's high. And I'm looking forward now to enjoying the rest of my summer vacation. Now that that project is done I'm able to do some working out. I helped my daughter move into their college apartment and I hope to have a little bit of time off here before I've got to get back to the grind of teaching students how to make music when school starts. Back to that KK7WID. Well Alan thank you so much for your report. Are you reading any last minute books before you start back to teaching? Back to you Alan. Just every night the tradition that my wife and I have is every night when we go to bed I read her a couple chapters of whatever book we're on. So it's always just fiction. The current one is the first novel in the Lady of Devices series. But it's just fun fiction just to have someone to read to put us all to bed to. I don't have any professional reading this summer. Just taking it easy. Back to that KK7WID. Yep that's what I was fishing for. Well that's great. I love that. Yeah well that's great. Well congratulations on getting the bathroom done. How fun. It's like you don't even realize how much time you spend in the bathroom until you realize how much time you spend in your bathroom. Right? But yeah and daughter off to college. All of these things. Yes. Well yeah well thank you so much for checking in Alan. I appreciate it. And also keep us in the know of all of your upcoming gig dates too. I know that sometimes you do. Yeah I know that sometimes you do gigs on your own. So yeah let us know. And it's great to hear from you Alan. Have a wonderful rest of your summer. And enjoy working out and sweating. You and Doug KF7 OK. Maybe y'all can go and chop wood together and just get. Chop wood and just big arms. Anyway. 7-3 Alan. You'll have a good night and clear the stage to your wife. Alright next on the list is Dean. KG7ODB33. I'm 33 not 33. 88. All the hugs to Dean. Dean. Please come ahead with your report. Good evening Rebecca and everybody on the net. This is Dean KG7ODB. Near Bitter Lake in North Seattle. So I think over the weekend when you me and Matt went to have ice cream. I think that was I think that was something you set up with Jack to get ice cream on everybody's mind. Because you probably heard on a couple of the other nets. That was kind of the subject like people would bring up ice cream. Specifically our little get together and I think it got people hungry for ice cream. And that's going to drive up attendance to the ice cream social this weekend on Sunday. Anyway. So I'm just sitting here I'm watching the Seahawks game. Again I heard Brooks is there. I guess he's pretty lucky to be there. It's a nice night to be down at the stadium. But it's pre-season. It's one of these games that doesn't matter. It's just an exhibition game. But it's the first one of the year. And there are a whole bunch of new players that we've never seen before. So it gives us a chance to see them. So we're getting you know we're in the fourth quarter now. It started late. It started at seven. Seahawks are winning 23 to 13. I almost said Oakland Raiders but it's the Las Vegas Raiders. And it's interesting because the Raiders their coach is Pete Carroll who used to be our coach. And their quarterback although their quarterback Geno Smith only played in the first quarter. Yeah he used to be our quarterback. And so some familiar faces is kind of a homecoming for those people. But I think one of the stars of the show not the game is Marshawn Lynch because he's been roaming around the sidelines with a camera with a big telephone. And he was up in the booth a little while ago. So anyway it's fun to have football back. So anyway this is Dean KG 7 ODB back to that."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-22T21:43:55+00:00","id":21993,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":21992,"text":" Okay, good. This is Dean, KG 7 ODB. Yeah, so I am across from Bitter Lake. Earlier I was considering walking over there and putting my toe in the water. I did that one time. You may have heard it a couple years back on one of Ben's nets because he'd always joked about how are you in Bitter Lake or are you at Bitter Lake. So I went over there and I just had the toe of my boot just barely in the water. I checked and I go, I'm in Bitter Lake. But I didn't do that. But one of these nights I'll do it. Hopefully before the end of the summer. But yeah, so I'm sorry to hear about Matt's grandfather. Here's the thing. You know when everybody unfortunately goes through situations like that and when it happens you tend to think that you're alone, you're isolated with it. But we all have been there. So you know, as Matt got on here and we're to talk about it more, I think there's a lot of people who would support him. And also, yeah, you know, in his line of work, I can imagine having to deal with these people who are really, really stressed out. You know, like the flight attendants or the people at the gate when somebody's late for their flight or whatever. But I've had a couple of occasions where I've just been nice to those people. I found it's easier than you think to talk your way into an upgrade or at least a better seat just by treating the gate attendant, whatever their official title is, and help them. So anyway, that's all I got. I think I'll probably go over to the Lake Washington event tomorrow. And Blythe Park is right near the Yakima Fruit Market. So that probably means that James might show up. We'll see. Oh, one other thing real quick. I always hear Jeff do his squirrel report, but I haven't heard him mention Fred the Crow recently. I hope Fred's OK. So anyway, KG7ODD, back to that."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-23T21:57:48+00:00","id":22945,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":22944,"text":" KG 7 ODB recheck. Last on the list, KG-7 ODB, good morning."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-16T12:40:04+00:00","id":17227,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":17226,"text":" KG 7 ODB recheck."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":0.7670683022588491,"created_at":"2026-06-28T19:42:23.435952+00:00","id":129124,"node_number":"66296","recording_id":129298,"text":"say leave it for tomorrow or another day. I don't know that we're going to have the energy to unload when we get home because after this we're going to meet up with Robert's uncle and aunt to go out to eat and then you know once we're we've had a visit with them then we'll head home. So I'm going to venture to say that we're not going to do a whole bunch of unloading today given that we have tomorrow off. So anyway I ramble, I digress. So fantastic to see you and your family and and thanks again for all that you do mobile safe and have a nice relaxing time. 33 and all the numbers. Next up we have Dean KG7ODB. Dean I hope you're feeling better. We missed you so much. At the field day it's not the same without you. I hope you're feeling better. Good morning, Tim and everyone on the net. First of all, I concur with Matt about the patient transmitting on the output frequency. I was looking at the motor scope page and there was no activity from the Internet and no activity coming in from any of the voter input. So, I think that's a wrap on that. Anyway, sorry I wasn't able to make it to field day. I'm just a little under the weather side. I don't feel really bad. I'm not in any kind of distress. I'm a little bit stressed about not being there. It sounds like it's a really great time.
