And so I think I'm going to put myself down and since we're taking them as they come, I'm going to do my check-in right now. And I will say that all this talk about food and the misunderstanding with Amy about whether she said heat or eat, reminds me of, we took, so Victoria, our oldest, excuse me, youngest daughter, tongue tied this morning, has been talking about this restaurant in Seattle. I think we mentioned it actually last weekend that we went to, it's been over a week ago now, but Dave's Hot Chicken. And I tried, I almost feel bad because Vicki was actually filming me as I ate the hottest chicken that they had. It wasn't habanero, no it was, no I think it was reaper, Carolina Reaper sauce, a dry rub I believe. And you know I can tolerate some pretty darn hot stuff and so she's like, but you're not reacting. Oh yeah, they made Keith find a waiver to eat it, which I think is kind of silly because it says you can die, which is not the case, you're not going to die from it. But anyway, so yeah that was really, really delicious and the chicken was really good actually. Oh and, well yeah okay, so we had an unfortunate event in the family, lost my uncle last night. We knew he had been diagnosed with cancer and passed away last night. In fact I was just talking, my aunt called me and talked briefly while Dana was doing the net. So yeah, thinking of him and of course condolences to the McClain side of my family. Actually might be listening, I've given them links. So anyway, that's all I've got. This is KG7-AII-73, everyone back to net. Okay, with that check in out of the way, is there anybody else who would like to check in? Call, sign a name, please come down. KI7-RMU, Jack. Hey good morning Jack, KI7-RMU, how are you doing this morning? Oh hey, good morning Teresa and Dana and everybody else. I am doing fantastic. Let me put the hose down, I'm just out in the back garden here watering and looking at things. Kale is really coming up, all the crop is looking fantastic. The cherry tomatoes are coming out, we've got some cucumbers. Oh look at that big cucumber, yikes. Okay, I have to get a truck to haul that into the house probably. But having a great day, looking forward to the board meeting this afternoon of course on the ice cream social tomorrow. Oh what fun that will be. Hope many of you can come out and join us and it's going to be great. And I tell you, I'm looking up at so much blue sky, I can hardly stand it. Where's the rain? Oh wait, what did I just say? No, I'm crazy. Anyway, having a great day, I'm really enjoying it and I really cannot wait for the weekend to commence. Oh it already is. Anyway, back to you, I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. Oh that's Teresa, I'm condolences to you and the family of course. Anyway you two are doing a great job as usual and I hope to see you all tomorrow. Thank you very much, KI7-RMU, back to you. Hey good morning Jack and thank you for the condolences there. It's interesting because my father passed away almost exactly a year ago, so it's actually a year to the month. I think it was later in the month than now. Anyway, so thanks for that and thanks for checking in. Tomorrow is going to be a great day, it looks like the weather is going to be beautiful. And Green Lake is going to be amazing. We're planning on bringing the puppies because they would just love a walk around Green Lake. The only reason we sometimes don't bring them is because they're a handful. They've got small dog syndrome in my opinion. They are just a little rambunctious and too willing to bark, at least Lady is. Anyway, thank you Jack, KI7-RMU, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and have a great weekend. Hey this is KI7-AI, who else would like to stop by and check in? Call, sign and name, please come now."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T09:39:51+00:00","id":15474,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15473,"text":" Hey, good morning, Dean. Great to hear from you this morning. And, you know, I think it's been, it's been, last time we were in Canada was for the, um, I think it was for that concert, the Brit Floyd concert that we went to up in Vancouver. What's that? That's been a different function too. Oh, that's right. Yeah, there's been some hockey games as well for the teenager. But, um, yeah, good stuff. Great to hear, great hearing from you this morning. And, uh, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Um, yeah, the ice cream social, that is going to be a lot of fun. We, uh, we're planning on bringing the dogs. We're going to do a lap or two around the lake. And, uh, visit with some friends and have some ice cream. And it's always a lot of fun. So, hey, Dean, great, great hearing from you this morning. Have a great weekend, 73. Next on the list, last but not least, actually, on this round is Michael, uh, KBA, BNY. Good morning. Hey, good morning. This is KBA, BNY and Lacey. And, uh, let's see, um, I guess first of all, I'll mention, I've never been to BC. I've been to Ontario tons of times. And when I was a kid, we used to go roller skating over there. And then when I was older, I used to go over, uh, uh, hiking and boating and all kinds of stuff over there. And, uh, in fact, my parents, just before they passed away, they bought a condo that was right across the, uh, St. Clair River from, uh, from Sarnia. And they were just about ready to buy a, uh, buy a house over there. So, uh, they really liked it there. And, uh, so I'll have to go up to BC sometime. I don't know if right now is a good time to go. Maybe we'll wait a little bit, but I'd definitely like to go up there and see what it's like. And, uh, yeah, as far as going through TSC, I've got a, uh, I've got a trick card. I think I'm on my third, second or third trick card. And you need those to get into, like, when I go into the port, uh, some, uh, custom-funded warehouses require that, but definitely in the ports. And, uh, I used them down in Houston. I use them up here. And when you have a TSA card, I think that qualifies like a pre, like a pre-check. So, um, a couple of people have told me, including, uh, some guys at the port, they said if you fly, you just show your trick card and I think you bypass TSA. Because you're already background checked quite a bit. So, uh, anyway, uh, this weekend we're working on a fun project. I've got a brand new Raspberry Pi. We're going to, uh, see if we can turn that into an All-Star node. And I got that for my birthday. This is my birthday weekend, so. Actually, my birthday is a little, in a couple days, but, uh, I got a little early because, uh, those in the know know that I, I need a little bit of time to, uh, to play with it. And we have a four-day weekend, so we've got plenty of time to get this thing going. So that'll be kind of fun. So we'll see if maybe, uh, we'll have a regular All-Star node. Because right now I'm coming in on a PPE switch. But, uh, that way, uh, we'll hook up some radio equipment and see how that works out. And, uh, let's see. That's about it. Good to hear you guys. Uh, haven't checked in in a while, I don't think. But, uh, anyway, I'll pass it back to you, uh, Theresa and Dana. Have a very good morning. And, uh, by the way, it's sunny and, uh, about, I think it's in the 60s right now. We're going to warm up, uh, but it's a beautiful morning out here. So, anyway, 73 KVIPM line. Well, hey, good morning, Mike. Great to hear from you. And, uh, gosh, all, you know, all the best on your birthday. Uh, happy birthday, Dana says happy birthday. And, uh, have fun with the Raspberry Pi. So many people this morning, it sounds like. Well, so many, of course, two people have mentioned. Um, but that's more than usual, uh, setting up an All-Star node with a Raspberry Pi. Um, actually three people technically, including myself, because I just, uh, received a new clear node that I need to, uh, that I need to set up and prepare. I want to, I want to use that when we go to Spokane. So, anyway, um, great to hear you out there. Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy this beautiful, beautiful day. Okay, this says Kilo Golf 7 Alpha India India. I'm going to hand it over to my lovely better half, KG7CGP. Oh, and by the way, um, oh, really quick, his boss, er, was it boss? Oh, hey, it was boss Novavil. And, who's the honest, who's the truthful one? And, uh, who's the truth teller and who's the liar? It could be one of those, uh, logic puzzles. And I'm going to maintain I'm the one being honest. That's, that's my, that's, that's, that's my truth. And, and, you know. Anyway, uh, so I'm going to hand it over to my lovely better half, um, the best half, KG7CGP for round number three."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T10:03:38+00:00","id":15486,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15485,"text":" Okay, thank you KG7CGP. Yeah, and Red Prince too is the better half. You know, you both can be telling the truth. Or you can both be lying. Anyway, back to you, KG7FWB. That is 100% true. I think that it is one, you know, I'm taking it as one of those fun little logic puzzles that you often see. Like, I don't know, when I was growing up I used to love those kinds of logic puzzles. There's one truth teller and one liar and you can ask one question to determine which one is which and all that. So that's the way I'm taking it. So anyway, thanks Bossa Nova Bill. Redeem your ticket at the Green Lake Cafe concession stand across from the paddle boats. And come back and hang out with your ham friends in 3D. Take a bike ride or rent a boat. Oh, you can rent a boat. Or just walk around the lake. We're going to walk around the lake. I think one time is enough. I don't think we need to go twice. Bring a folding chair, a hat, sunglasses. In fact, here, we're going to do story time in the middle of the net. That is how I met Teresa the Saturday morning Coast, KG7 AII. I was literally biking around my neighborhood in my, in Kirkland, North Kirkland, with an HT on my bike and ran into another person biking around with an HT on her bike. And I was like, are you a ham operator? She goes, why yes I am. And that's how I met KG7 AII. I was just biking around and noticed a radio on the bicycle. So anyway, biking radios, love it. Thanks, Tree. Have a beautiful day. Ben is up next. Hello and good morning, W6 FDU."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-30T09:55:22+00:00","id":28188,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":28187,"text":" Well, good morning there, Theresa and everybody out there today. I hope everybody is doing well. It's a beautiful day over here at the lake. We're supposed to get really hot today and I don't know how high it is. Tomorrow or Monday they're saying 100 degrees for Spokane. It will be like the first 100 degree day officially at the airport this year I think, something like that. It's been closed but not official. Obviously downtown on the black pavement it gets really hot but the official reading is at the airport. So anyway, yeah, it's going to be a pretty mild, pretty calm Labor Day weekend here because we have no visitors and no guests. Just the two of us and some water skiing activities so we'll see how the rest of the day goes and the rest of the weekend. So a lot of people here. The lake was really busy last night but we snuck in some flat water on the other side of the lake this morning so had a pretty decent time. So anyway, back to you guys. Have a good holiday weekend over there and we'll talk to you all later. This is Jim and Jane at Deer Lake K7 PZ. Hey good morning Jim and Jane. I hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend. It sounds like you are. And yeah, 7333 and thanks for stopping by. K7 PZ, KG7 AII. Okay that ends round number three. Let's start round number four. I'll find a name. Please come now."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-23T09:30:57+00:00","id":22399,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":22398,"text":" Okay, I think that station was an IO in fact, which is fine. I'm gonna go ahead and mark them down as such. I'm gonna end this round, and this is Kilo Golf 7 Alpha India India. I'm gonna hand it over to truly my better half. And I have proof this morning that she's my better half because we often do rock, paper, scissors to determine who does the first round, which is also the person that does the preamble. And she won this morning. First time right off the bat she kicks my butt in rock, paper, scissors pretty regularly actually. So she is truly the better half. KG7 CGP Dana for round number 2."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-30T10:16:05+00:00","id":28208,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":28207,"text":" Good morning Theresa and Dana if you are listening. Anyway, so there is this coffee robot situation. So someone gave me one of those Keurig devices a while back and I almost never use it. And I think that is almost a coffee robot because you basically just put the water in and you have the capsule in there. And I don't know, it is kind of hard to use one of those machines because of all the \u2013 there are a lot of people really into coffee on these nets. So there is a lot of talk about the AeroPress and the French Press and different ways to make coffee. I mean of course we've gotten Madeline's coffee at a couple of events too with her fancy dancy machine that does it so well, although it is her skill that really makes the coffee good. I do have, there is a Keurig machine as well. I do use that quite a bit, but that is kind of a different thing. But yeah, there are solutions for people who do want the coffee robot. And the other thing was, so someone mentioned about eating less gluten and losing weight. So it is funny because the other day I was looking at the website for Molly Moon's Ice Cream. And so their ice cream is gluten free, really at least the versions I was looking at that are different flavors. I don't know if I would lose weight if I were eating Molly Moon's ice cream every day, but maybe I am wrong. So anyway, I hope Mike has a good poda activation today. It's funny, I recently got this award from Air. It's called the Eagle's Nest Award. And what it is is if you contact a particular park, or any park 100 times you, you get this, the Eagle's Nest Award. I don't know where they come up with the names. I think it is the wife of the person who runs poda and comes up with all these crazy but interesting names for things. But Mike also got one at the same time because there is an operator that we both always seem to contact. He is on like every day and I contact him like a couple times a week. It's a long story, K7PAR. He is one of the most active poda people. Anyway, so he got one the same day. I thought that was really interesting. And he and I are both right around 280 contacts with that one operator. So anyway, I hope I didn't time it out. This is repeater station. Hey, good morning to you. We went to a great hearing at first call. We did not time out. So repeaters, you're good. We are under the three minute mark. And you know, the coffee robot, I don't know. You know those spirits, we have one of those spirits at work and we actually use that quite a bit. You know, again, I guess it's a little bit, that is a robot I guess if you define it that way. Actually, our coffee maker at home, we actually ran a water line off of the water line that goes into your refrigerator. We took a line off of that and brought it up to the coffee maker. So it actually always has water as well. But ours is not a cure. All you have to do is pop the thing in and pop a little cartridge or whatever that is and get yourself a cup of coffee. But anyway, I digest. Hey, have a wonderful weekend Dean, and thanks for stopping by. KG7ODB73, KG7AII. Okay, last but not least on this round I've got Keith, KG7ALM. This is KG7AII apparently the pattern matcher. I think all humans are pattern matchers. That's what we that's what our brains are so good at. Victor Oscar One Uniform Kilo Zulu. Victor Oscar One Uniform Kilo Zulu. Darryl on the rocks. Good afternoon. Hey, I got two stations there. I've got Madeline.
