I have a cat problem, it's a neighbor cat problem, I've been feeding them for decades. There are other cats that attack them this week and the one where you can come to my door now, waits by the fence at the end of the road, I have to put the food out there, it's just a mess. In between feeding my dog at this point, the net starts at seven. Everything's okay, my stove died, it's 30 years old, and the cutout is 30 inches, but the stove I want says it's 30 inches so it won't fit, so now I have to drive through another town to try to measure it. My last is 30, because I don't use the oven very much, so I can use the stove. Oh there goes the dog. Anyway, everything's pretty much okay here, and I miss the Coke conversation, but that's okay, because I think there's more important things in this world besides Coke, so I don't know what. I'm not going to get distracted by the Coca Cola thing. Anyway, I hope everybody's well, my dog, who's barking now, somebody's out fine. I'm in kick of the vet at quarter to nine, just for vaccinations, and other than that, everything's okay in that, Oh, we just had a murder last night, or not a murder, it's when we got shot, but the bullet went through and through, and I haven't heard, but you know, that stuff never used to happen in Napa. Napa used to be a small town, a wild country, you know, but we do now. We have a lot, actually, considering for such a small town. But anyway, I hope everybody is well, and I'm going to give it back to you, so you can find out why my dog's barking. KG6WKO, Kathy, exit 73."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T08:03:20+00:00","id":15422,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15421,"text":" So I don't like driving. Just times that I just don't mind too. So there you go. I'm just getting too old, I guess. But it's not a stuff like that. I'd rather just stay home myself. But all right, you take care. We're dead here. Let's go down to another reject. K-E-6-W-K-O. Hey, go ahead, Kathy. Uh, K-E-6-W-K-O, Kathy. Um, you know, you have a computer with platters now. There's four platters in the, in the, uh, computer was surprising because I watch the YouTube. There's only supposed to be one platter. The guy, but there was four. There was three sort of in the bottom of it. But no, there are platters. I'm not gonna use a computer anymore, that's so. But I was, you know, I have photos. But they're all in USBs and external archives. I've got to put that in my computer. external archives, I don't have it. I think my beneficiaries can hook them up to their computers and get the photos off. And be careful with OneDrive, because I had confidential information up there that should not have been up there. I had a list of state stuff, and on the bottom I had my computer password. That was up there. On OneDrive, it automatically used new computers and they just seemed to go up to OneDrive unless you turn it off, and it's another backup. But they can't guarantee security on their server. But I am too old for it. It's too complicated, I'm too old. I'm quite happy with my iPad and my iPhone. And so I found my timer. I stuck my timer in a fake place next to my ham radio in the second bedroom, and now I have a timer. I'm gonna quickly tell you one other story. I don't know if you have a Fitbit watch, but I've been cleaning out my house a lot, going up and down step stools and stuff like that. And they gave me a warning that I was having atrial fibrillation. They gave me it several times, and I was supposed to let my doctor know. And they had it all printed out. They sent me a notification. But my pulse went from 40 to 150 apparently, several times. Now I have a 40 pulse because I take a bed of blocker for PBST, which I have a skinny heart, which gets fast. So anyway, I photocopied to my doctor who had me come in and do EKG yesterday and lab work, and they're all normal, except I have a low pulse, which they know because I take a bed of blocker. And because if I don't take a bed of blocker, my pulse goes really high and gets skimpy, and I don't give enough blood to my head. But it's not life-threatening, which, it may seem not life-threatening compared to arterial fibrillation, which can be. You can die, it's very life-threatening. So anyway, so that was interesting. I had never done a notification from Fitbit, ever, and I've had this thing over 10 years. And so, but I was like, everything was normal, and I'm fine. And I had to be careful with an espresso coffee because I was drinking two a day, and that's why I'm so energetic cleaning up my house, and it has a lot of caffeine. And that, so I can only have one cup. So that's my little story, added story. So anyway, it's nice listening to everybody. I'm gonna give it back to you. I have 29 seconds in KG6, WKO. Back to you, exit 73. All right, here, Candy, all right. 29 seconds to go, so there you go. You should have just ran it out. All right, Candy, all right. You take care, and yeah, I got two Windows 10 computers here and I'm not willing to upgrade. I don't care if they do not support them after October. So there you go. Until they totally break down and stuff like that, I'm gonna use them. I'm gonna use them till they both die, obviously. So there you go, they're useful, useless. So there you go. All right, I can't afford a new computer anymore. I'm not like my kids or my grandkids. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. But I do take funny girls on trees. You can ask my wife on that one. So we're in, I'll say 73 to you, you have yourself a great day. Let's move on down to another reject, JB7PDW. Go ahead, Santa. Well, I think that might be a record for rechecks. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Yeah, I was just trying to fill in some time. I'm gonna go and fix myself some breakfast. I tried something new. Take a baked potato, may I say a medium sized one, and wash it off. And take a paper towel and wet it and wring it out and wrap the potato up in the paper towel and put it in microwave for five minutes or so. If it's a larger potato, maybe six or seven minutes. I don't know. But I'm gonna go out there now and slice it up and have me some fried potatoes with my eggs this morning. We'll see how it goes. I'll let you know. JB7PDW, back to net. This is repeater station, 707 November. All right, yeah, well, fried potatoes, eggs. Yeah, cook up some stem to go with it. So there you go. Or bacon. Or sausage, there you go. All right, buddy, you take care. Go enjoy your breakfast. And we will talk to you later. All right, the last one on this list is KC7LRS. Good morning, Joyce. I was gonna come up with something, but I couldn't think of it. Oh, OK. That was good timing. I just left the room here, and it might be back any minute. So I was just gonna say, Joe, sure wish you had some videos of you being the karate kid, karate guy. And with some of those side leaves, that must have been something to see. Wow. And anyway, Roy and Sue and Lily appreciate that lovely wedding photo you sent there of the family, wedding, and a beautiful scene. So we're envying you and thinking of you on that beautiful, beautiful coast. So enjoy for us, for sure. So that's all I wanted to say. So everybody have a good weekend, KC7LRS. And here comes Hilda the Roomba. Back again. All right, OK. All right, thank you very much. For your rejection. And stuff like that. Yeah, it does get a little bit quieter out there at certain times of the morning. But that's all right. That's all right. All right, I see a couple pop up here and there. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna try this one. M7WCC. Hey, baby. Good day."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T07:20:00+00:00","id":15411,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15410,"text":" Welcome to the Michigan conference number 96170 located in Western Michigan. I was like, wait, where are the chickens at? So, oh my goodness, an ankle, yeah Missy, I can relate. I didn't break an ankle, but back in my karate days, I had literally lived karate. Oh my gosh, I was so into it and became a second degree black belt and I actually lived it. And I was really good at flying sidekicks, you know, you're kind of running. I kind of remember how high I used to jump, but it was truly mind boggling even when I think of it today. Well, on one of those, when I landed, you know, my toe was kind of, my foot's kind of angled down like a tap dancer. And when I landed, it landed and twisted sideways and just ripped the heck out of my ligaments. And yeah, that put me on for six months and I was probably 20, 21 years old. I was pretty young at the time and oh gosh, for years after that, probably 10 years after that, even at that young age, if I was in the car and had the heater on, the heater's blowing down at the bottom by your feet, my foot would swell up. Yeah, finally got over it, but my gosh, that was the most pain. I actually wanted to stop. It hurt so bad at the time. Crazy stuff. So yeah, I don't recommend anything but the ankle. It didn't break any bones, but there's a ton of bones in your foot, but all the ligaments and muscle, yeah, it was really, really messed up. So anyway, other than that, Art, I'm just floating on in the background. It's warm. I woke up to 87 degrees and just didn't feel like riding because it was a bit windy, but tomorrow's my day to ride, so I'll get out there tomorrow. Anyway, that's it for here and it's Joe Mosley, it's KK, that was the back of the net. Hi there, Joe. All right, good to hear you this morning. It's like you once a day for being in the background. You never know what's going to happen yet. And I do see the WATDN is not connected. Don't know what's going on with that one this morning, but it's hard to tell. Yeah, they might be sleeping or trying to find coffee, so they're kind of... All right, buddy, you take care and we will talk at you later, buddy. All right, OK, let's go to KG6WKO, Kathy. Good morning, how you doing? KG6WKO, Kathy. Well, I'm sort of busy because I don't come very often, but I was up early this morning. It's supposed to be 90 degrees here, so I have to take the dog out for a walk and stuff. I lost my timer, so I got my set bit in my hand trying to watch the time. So I'm showing up for the three minutes because I don't know what I did with that little timer I used. I've been cleaning up the house and I actually started with my computer, which I didn't think I used. It's Windows 10 and in October it's not going to be supported at all. And it's an old computer, so I couldn't upgrade. And so it was either buy a new computer or take that one down. And I decided to not have a computer because I rarely use it, although my hand radio thing is on there to program my little bay thing, my little handheld radio. And my iTunes music I lost, but I decided to not get another one. And so I've been really busy. I started with the computer, now I'm starting with closets and cleaning things up. And some place I put that timer, which I'm going to be looking for. And I'm sorry, I missed you, it was because I was looking for the timer. So anyway, I took out the hard drives on my computer and two external hard drives that actually died and I couldn't get the information off of them. So I saw YouTube and I took them all apart and took out the little platters. I took out four platters from my computer and a platter for each of the hard drives. And now I have six platters that I don't know what to do with because they're like metal. They're like DVDs but metal. And to break them, I don't know. So they're in my bookcase. So anyway, it's free to get rid of all the stuff. I'm telling you right now, it's very free. I've been here 30 years and I've collected things that I don't use in closets and stuff. Anyway, I'm going to turn it over to you because I don't know how long I've been on and I don't have my timer. Back to you, 86WKO CABI, exit 73. Alright, sure CABI, alright. Yeah, good to hear you. It has been a while since I've heard you, so there you go. Let's see, well you can always try putting them in, putting them by metal platters in a place and bend them over and everything else. And get rid of them that way. Your dad will wait for some place that has a computer drop, old computer drop off and just drop everything off of them and they'll get rid of everything for you. So there you go. Alright, UJ Caron will say 73 for them. Alright, with that let's go down here to stand and metal. KB7, DBW, good morning metal, how you doing? Well, I guess I'm doing okay right now. I took my tie-lock drill here an hour ago and so I'm not in any pain right now. Let's see, my son came over yesterday and we started cleaning out of that bedroom and got rid of a few things. So he's going to have to come over again I guess or I'm going to have to work on it. One box at a time. I don't know right now, but when you first came out I was hearing a radio in the background. But it seems to have gone away now so maybe you turned it down. But that's it from, well it's going to be almost 100 degrees tomorrow and Monday here. So, good thing we got a new air conditioner put in here a couple of months ago. So we should be fine. KB7, DBW, back to you. Alright, good to hear you this morning. Yeah, well we're supposed to be like 85 today and then going to get closer to 90s next week and stuff like that with a chance of rain coming in. So there you go. But heat index is going to really, really make it bad here. So there you go. Alright buddy, we'll say 73 to you and you have yourself a great day. Alright, this is the worldwide friendship event. I am November 8th, I'm going to tell you that I'm here in Springfield, Ohio. And temperature is slowly going up, but it is humid out there. It was really crackly. I couldn't hear a word. Yesterday was the same thing. I was going to come on the net but I couldn't hear anybody and now I can hear you clearly. So I hope you can hear me clearly. I live in Napa Valley so I don't know. We've been on the news of course but I don't see the, because we have a big fire here, over 6,000 acres. And it's been horrible. It's been several days that they've been fighting with helicopters and things like that. But I don't see it from my house at all, any smoke at all. So it's up in the hills and it's above Calistoga which is further from us, from the city of Napa. And it's up in the hills, really steep terrain and they've been fighting it with helicopters and it's really sad. I see the comments on the internet. People are crazy on the internet. I mean Napa Valley, we're known for our valley but we're also known for the hills. We're in the middle of the, surrounded by hills, gorgeous hills. But they get dry in the summer and people do silly things with fire and flames and that's what happens. But they can't fight it. It's hard for them to fight because of the steep terrain and for them to get it. Hats off to the fire department. I can't imagine, we run from danger and they run into it. It's just amazing that they try to save us and our belongings and things like that. I have a lot of respect for the fire department. And that's pretty much it. I've been cleaning my house out, emptying closets and stuff and I feel really good about it because I've been in the same house for 30 years, over 30 years and I don't throw things away. And so you were talking about table games. I stuck them in the garage and I don't even play them. I mean they're just silly games. I haven't played in 25 years or so. So I was going through them and then I decided to throw them away and luckily I emptied out, I had this old box of dominoes. It even smelled old and the box was all torn up and I dumped the dominoes in a plastic bag and I was throwing all the loose game pieces in a plastic bag to throw away. And on the bottom are two newspaper articles and they were photographs 1982 of my brother-in-law and sister's articles in the newspaper. And I would have just thrown the thing away. It's been a freedom sort of just letting things go. So anyway, I'm going to give it back to you because I only have 38 left in my battery too because I've been playing an internet game forever. And I have 22 minutes on the clock here. Wrists, ankles, and ribs are probably some of the tough ones. Wrists and ankles because you've got so many bones in there. And of course, ribs because you're always moving them. So tough stuff. And yeah, that's kind of, what do you call it, fate or something that you and your brother in the same kind of way. So anyway, thank you, Glenn. Always good to hear you there. I got 12 people on the list here. KK7Z, KVD7WA, VA6GRZ, KV8RER, KT7JOE, N7RHV, N8THJ, KV5EWH, I got NS, I think it's, I'm sorry, KG01YST, and if that's not right you can correct me when it's your turn, KBQRQQ, KG6WKO, and KB7PBW. Let's move to the top of the list. We'll get everybody in, just hang on not with us. We'll go on as long as we need. KK7Z, good morning Joe. What's going on down there in Las Vegas? This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7, November Quebec November. Yeah, let me see if it's working here. Okay, looks good. I'm on the newer computer. More on their day than everybody on the internet, Joe in Las Vegas. Boy, we had a wicked storm yesterday. I look forward to hearing from Joe and Joyce later. I think they hit it worse down there. It's pretty crazy, but still swimming in the pool. Yesterday may have been my last day. It was about 77 degrees, the water temperature, but it's cooler this morning, and I think going forward it's going to be cooler, so we might go to that next level, or I won't be swimming. And I wasn't sure on your first question something about tipping or something unusual about tipping. I'll just throw this in there. The thing drives me crazy is I tip generally fairly well, especially for good service, and you know, especially places I go to on a regular basis. However, if I go someplace and I get absolutely crappy service, I have a crappy waiter or waitress, and on and on and on, I don't think they deserve a minimum of 15%. I've literally left a quarter before, and it's been years since I've done that, but I don't believe in tipping if you're not getting the service, and I see people all the time they'll say, now you got to give them at least 15%. No, no, if I'm not getting the service, you know, you speak with your wallet. If they're giving you crappy service, no, I don't think they do deserve 15%. I think a quarter or even a dime should let them think about how they treat people, so that's my two cents. But like I said, in all reality, I tip generally very, very good. 15%, 20%, 25%, even 30% depending. And as far as stuff I don't buy anymore, you know, the only thing I don't buy is a little snack treat, beer nuts. Beer nuts party mix I used to buy. It used to be six bucks for this huge bag, and then they literally made the bag half the size, and the price went up a couple of dollars, and I was in the store the other day, and that small bag now was $15. And you know, I like that as a treat, but I'm not gonna pay 15 bucks for maybe a two serving snack, so that's about the only thing I can think of there Dave. So anyway, thanks for being here, good to hear you, and I'll send you guys a note. I'm gonna be heading to Pittsburgh in a few weeks. My days aren't going to be interrupted here, I just, you know, I'm usually not on the net at all during those times. Not much, the weather has been weird, we have had earthquakes in Berkeley, I have not felt that in Napa, but they have had some scary earthquakes in Berkeley, and it is like in the 90s here and then all of a sudden it will be raining and now today it is going to be in the 70s. The weather is weird, but other than that it is fine. As far as tipping, I do not go out, you know I adopted a dog a little over three years ago and even gave up a trip, a paid trip, and I have been grounded for over three years, but I did go out this week, which I will quickly tell you about in a minute. And before that I was working different shifts, so I hardly ever go out for tipping and I hate figuring out the tip, I really do, I do not like figuring out the tip. I do not buy, well I do not buy any more, well I did buy it at Costco, but I do not like buying it. I love the thin slice ribeye steak, and I have for over decades or so, I just love it, and it was really reasonable, I knew it was expensive compared to other stuff, but now it is outrageous, and I can afford to pay it, but I just do not want it, I think it is just way too much, and I like the thin, I do not like the thick as much as the thin one. Anyway, so I went out for the first time in a long time this week without my dog, and I saw, I saw, here it is five minutes away from my house, I do not like to drive at night anymore, and so that is part of it, and especially at night, and five minutes away from my house, I went and saw Joan Osborne, O S B O R N E, and she was, she got real popular in 1995, she won seven Grammy nominations, did not win any, and she did sing a really controversial song, which is If God Was One of Us, and I do not want to offend anybody, because people got offended apparently, I do not understand why, because it is hypothetical, but that is not the reason she did not win, Alanis Morrison, it was her breakthrough year, and she just, she overshadowed Joan Osborne, but she did all Bob Dylan songs, except for some that she wrote, that she did herself, and one that she wrote is, oh I cannot remember, but anyway, if you get a chance to see her, you want to check her out, she is really really good, her voice is wonderful, she is 63 years old, she can still do it on the stage, it was just amazing, so you may want to Google her, and I know she is in Kirkland, Washington soon, so anyway, I talked to you, I am getting beat I think, so back to you KG6WKO Kathy."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-27T07:35:49+00:00","id":47740,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":47739,"text":" Okay Art, I like that one. I don't go out and my wife does the shopping. Okay, so you basically have no idea about that. That's awesome. No problem at all. And let's move onward and before we move onward, I want to let you know who I have on the list here. I have K5 EWH, KS1 YST, KB2 RQQ, KG6 WKO, and KB7 PBW. Those are the last five on the list. So hang in there, we'll get you in on the next round here. I've been playing a game, an internet game and that's what I'm doing. I get free time right about this time. That's part of it and I'm just kidding, I'm getting up and feeding the dog and just getting busy. But I was just thinking about you guys but I logged down late. I think I heard your father was ill. I don't know what was going on but you have my sympathy there, wherever it is. So that's about it. Where would I snap my fingers? You know there's actually two places I would go back. New Zealand is one. I wouldn't want to fly. If I could snap my fingers and just pop over there, that would be wonderful. Because it's beautiful and I loved my trip over to New Zealand. I would go back there in a heartbeat. It's just beautiful country. People are nice. It's just a nice place to go. The airplane ride was just horrendous. Get over there. It's just too far. The other place I would go, I think it was called the Monolani Resort in Hawaii. I would go to the resort. The land is horrible. It's all just lava. There's nothing there but lava. But I loved the resort. Then they had this thing where they had bicycles. I could ride the bicycles over to this other health club place that was nearby. There was a pool and there was palm trees around it and it was salt water. It was just beautiful. Every morning I would pedal over there and swim. It was just wonderful. Then I was with a group and we had all kinds of activities at the resort. It was wonderful. So that's probably where I would go. I don't go many places. My back is out. In 2019 it went out and now it's out again. I'm waiting on the spine clinic to call me back. When you get, I retired. Before I retired I fell. I hurt my back at work. Then it just got, you know, it just got one thing after another. Then there was COVID. COVID killed one trip. I was supposed to be on a cruise on the Pacific Coast. I paid cruise right during COVID time. We almost went and I would have been stuck in the ocean right during COVID. Not be able to come back in. It's just one thing after another. So now I just stay home. That's what I do. I stay home. But if I had to dream it would be New Zealand and Monolani Resort. Anyway, I'm going to give this back to you and I hope everything is well with you and your family. KG6WKO exit 73. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7 November- KG6WKO this is KI7BR and you're going to be the last person I check in. Thank you so much Joe for checking in the rest of the group. But before I go, yeah, New Zealand. That's one place that's definitely on my list. It's so beautiful from what I've seen. But it certainly would be nice to be able to snap your fingers and just be there. I hope the spine clinic closes soon. It's miserable having to wait on that. But man, don't even get- COVID trips. Man, I had so much racked up. Graham and I were going to go to New Orleans. I was going to visit old friends in Chicago. It was a real travel year and all of it went bye-bye. And hasn't returned. I was in New Orleans for a short trip. But that's about it. But yeah, hey, thank you so much for your check in. A pleasure to hear from you Kathy. A real treat. So thanks for that and come on in a little more often when you're able. Well folks, I'm going to turn over the rest of this round to KK7Z. It's been a pleasure hosting you today. And I hope everyone has a good day. I'm going to go and visit my dad with grandma. And we're going to head out the door. So everyone have a great day. And turning it over to KK7Z. Take it away and thanks so much."},{"callsign_confidence":0.85,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-10-26T07:56:14+00:00","id":69278,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":69277,"text":" Okay, C7FMW, well thanks so much for coming in and understood, it's just not the greatest timing and that's okay. We typically run for an hour but often over and if we just run for an hour today or if I go a few minutes over it's okay, I just need to leave pretty quickly after eight. So here's what I'm going to do, it's really coming up short before eight o'clock. I am going to pull in our Arizona lovebirds if they're available and VE4YYL and just kind of bring them in because otherwise we might not hear from them today. Hopefully they're ready, KC7LRS and KC7VHT and VE4YYL are going to go ahead and pull you in and if there's any time remaining, any net control who can take it beyond that then we'll get more, another round in. Oh thank you Joe, Joe is, KC7Z will take it. Well in that case I might as well make it a regular round and Joe I'll hand over whoever is left once we hit eight o'clock, I hope that'll work. So I'm going to go ahead and take a regular round and that way whoever's ready will just have you come on in when you're ready. So question of the day, if you could snap your fingers, where might you be if you're in someplace dreary or not and you just want to be someplace maybe a little nicer, whether it's weather, family or whatever. Or if you just want to stay where you are, that is just fine too. Alright come on in with your call sign twice slowly and in standard phonetics."},{"callsign_confidence":0.85,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-27T07:35:16+00:00","id":47739,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":47738,"text":" Good morning there brother Dave and everybody else on the World Wide Friendship. This is no number 8 Tango Hotel, Juliet, Ardher and Sonny Springfield Isle. I've got 72 degrees Fahrenheit this morning, going to get up to about 80 today. And looks like no rain for quite a while. So there you go, we're going to be drying out again. So that means the drought will be even worse. So there you go. First off, I don't go grocery shopping. My wife does all that. And second off, we don't go to restaurants. So there you go. So I don't have to worry about tipping anybody. But what I have heard though from people is that most restaurants, they're just adding the tip right in with your bill. So there you go. So other than that, I'll just say 73 to everybody. Y'all had yourselves a great day. Stay warm, stay dry, stay cool, no matter where you're at in the world. And please remember, always wipe down the mic before you give it back to that control. So with that there brother Dave, I'm wiping the mic down. I'm going to make it twice as clean as Pappy did. Yep, yep, yep, yep. Not a lot going on here. I actually have two internets here. I have the local Lane County which if you don't use it they shut you down, unfortunately. So every time I can go out to take out what's in the mix, I don't use my internet out and about. I've got to turn it back on. It's starting to get annoying. Plus it's 4G and I'm 5G. Anyway, we're doing pretty good. Got myself in trouble yesterday. They was trying to put my blow up boots away. The girl was and it was going to be all over the world. I kept trying to tell her it had to be moved and she just kept moving forward. So I did something I wouldn't normally do and got frustrated and just pulled everything down. So we had to start over again. I got myself in trouble. Nothing unusual. Terry's always in trouble anyway. Wishing I could go visit my sister but maybe she may have opted for quality of life instead of chemo. Anyway, I'm a little frustrated about that being a reflexologist. I know how to make the body and do some turnarounds. Anyway, I guess I better turn it back because I'm starting to be the ramblin' man. Alpha Echo 7, Mike Romeo back to neck control.
