I'll turn on my little recorder here. I've got a bit of a reach there. Because it's the first person I'm going to check in. And this is a mid 19th century familiar 88 to both my brother Clay and my sister Reiji. I've got an extra 33 for Reiji. Clay G4 OZW, this is your sister KX2 CW. Please give us your reach. KX2 CW on the net, this is KG4 OZW and Reiji. And boy what a topic. I'm thinking of all my pets that have gone. Our furry four legged friends of the past. And we have two healthy ones now Skye and Blaze. Skye is 13, she's getting up there. And Blaze is 10. And they're both extremely healthy. You wouldn't think that Skye was 13. She acts like a puppy. Although sometimes we wonder if she's whining because she has arthritis. She was walking a little stiff the other day. So it's like oh no, starting to see signs. And Anakas was the last one that we lost. Although he wasn't euthanized. He died on his own. And it's been kind of a rough one. But yeah the topic makes me sad just thinking of the ones that we've lost over the years. And just happy for the ones that we still have and the love that they provide. And Skye is laying in her chair right now just kind of looking up at me. Probably wonders why I'm talking about her. Anyway, nothing really to report other than that. And just say hello to everyone. Hearing some familiar faces and some not so familiar ones tonight. But it's good to hear everyone in there. And hope everyone is having a good time. And we'll let it go back. Turn it back over to net control KX2CW. This is KG40Z. Rachie saying 73. Good night. Well thank you for that report. And Rachie it's good to hear you on the air. Jack who is in charge of us, you know, net control operators, has mentioned, has told me that he loves hearing you say things. Jack has sent me a message. Rachie report! Question mark, question mark, question mark. See Jack, Rachie did say hi and a few words on the air. So Rachie I just wanted you to know that many of us love to hear you when you have something to say on the radio. And let's see, Skye is 13. I didn't know the pages of your pets. And Blaze 10. And I think I remember when Abacus, I guess didn't come home. Oh no, Sean is also messaging me. See here folks, it's almost like having an IRC back channel. In this case it's on F-Center. Okay that's about the little light. Oh the critters subject. Yeah, Sean just messaged me that, uh, yeah, made some additional comments to me about the critters. Yes, we all, I think, pretty much every operator, well not every operator, I'm ready to, oh! Abacus was only 9, Clay has just mentioned. Anyway, um, I'm going to move on. I'm trying to read my writing, because I don't have enough light here. Yeah, so I'm going to move on. And Mike, um, writing things down, Mike, please give us your report. Semantics, is yours FLUDDER QRM or QRN? Don't think about it too much. Let's see, what else is there to think about? Um, my keys lost. They were in my jeans. And, um, when I got home. From, let's see, oh yeah, I got three bottles of kombucha at the Ballard Market for tomorrow's big night. The Lutheran Church with the grilled salmon. And I hope, I'll think of calling the minister at Title 8 on that for, to see if he's going to, probably, how you would think he'd be inspired to set that up in the basement. And have big band, big band, make only a big band with, Tom Rankin's in there, in fact, from the other church that I go to. He's in that group and he practices in the basement every week and I think that maybe this should go in there and practice. With us in there having our grilled salmon picnic potluck, and a step outside. And a big band playing on the east lawn back there. And the village, you can hear them just fine from, what, two blocks away from the center of the village. You know, there's usually a crowd outside the, filling around all day at the French Bakery, which is, you know, about 150 feet from the Greek restaurant. Yeah. I like the village and Lutheran Church and picnic tomorrow and in a couple more weeks the traffic will clear up and it will get more people from out the suburbs back to church. Just in time for homecoming, you know, September. Okay, so you, just, you know, I'm glad I found my keys with air-containing and there's one on my radio and one on my keys. And the key is to get to this radio. In my car this evening. Thanks, John. 7388. You know, 986. 21. Bye. KG7-3EU. Yes. The Phillips Code, which is funny, almost all of them are about commerce, but they slipped in two or three, yeah, three or more. Actually there's some more, but it's just really originally just a couple of personal messages, messages, messages that were not having to do with the business of, you know, goods and getting moved around the railroad and those are, of course, 7-3, a friendly, originally a friendly word between operators and at 8-8, which is, far predates the tribulations of the 20th century and certainly the 21st century. But in the mid-19th century that was the Phillips Code that operators who were, you know, family members usually would sneak that in and, because remember during the Civil War, the American Civil War, there were wives and daughters and other members of the family who were actually manning the wired telegraph system in many cases. Part of that, the hidden figures of the Civil War. So, let's see, moving right along here. Oh yeah, and then of course our dad stayed in a big band. And she got the Days of Morning big band, their pop star big band. But my brother Mark also formed the 33rd Street Band in Kalamazoo and they were popular gigging Chicago Tribute Band, you could call them, for about 10 years, from which he has tinnitus now. Alright, let's see, next up is Troy. Troy, please give us your report. Good evening, the rest of the net, this is K7 TMT and I am worn out, first of all, I'm still fighting off that nasty infection. I've got one more day, tomorrow was the main biotic and been spending quite a bit of time working out in the pool today, the day before. Tomorrow's going to be tortured, so I have my sister coming over and we're going to spend the day in the pool and we're going to barbeque. And also, I have some friends coming over from Worldcon, they're up here for that. And so, KS6MIX, she's a good friend of mine, said we used to do all the conventions, we actioned the dates. Like Cactuscon, Worldcon, Comiccon, because we're living in San Diego, as well as Westerncons and different things like that. It'll be great to see him again, him and my sister are actually going to go to Worldcon together. That will be fun because I haven't seen him in some odd, almost 30 years now, so it'll be great catching up with him. Maybe play a little radio while he's over here, who knows. And going to spend a little bit more time doing what we do. So, that's all I have for tonight, I'll send it back to you, Joe. P-17, please. Alright, Troy. I'm sorry about your, getting wiped out by antibiotics. But, you know, you'd rather be worn out than dead, so there's always that considered. And congratulations on meeting up again after 30 years, I can totally relate to that, I haven't seen my own family. I did finally get to, earlier this year I did finally fly to Kalamazoo and I got to see my brother Mark and Sister Kim and their kids. Because yet another one of them is getting married. And so I've just friended my new niece on Facebook when that appeared. I don't, I don't, I ignore almost all friend requests. I'm sorry if I know you in real life, I don't need to know you on Facebook. But when it comes to my new niece, I've only met for a few days and probably wouldn't see her for years. That's when I decide to, you know, friend someone on Facebook. But anyway, let's see, where am I going with this, I'm blathering. But I can relate, personally relate to your situation because I have not seen anyone else in my family for at least 25 years, probably longer than that. And some that I've never met, you know, I've never met, um, Rachie, Clay's wife. And I'm like, you know, that's, uh, I'm going to snap out of it. Okay, so, uh, Peter was, uh, K, uh, Peter K-E-6-R-A-X is an I-O. And it brings us to Charlie, KC2, uh, ST-O, uh, New Jersey. Please give us the report."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-25T22:11:11+00:00","id":24529,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":24528,"text":" KX2CW on the net. It was really nice to get rid of the splutter. It was pretty bad. And now it's fine. It's just great. Yeah, we missed you tonight. We kicked the show off with Level 42's debut album, which was a lot of fun. But then we played this really weird stuff that somebody introduced to me yesterday. I never heard the carnivorous, the carnivorous, oh plant, I was going to say flower, the carnivorous plant society. Which there is a carnivorous plant society. And there's also an international carnivorous plant society. But then a third entity is this band that I never heard of until yesterday. And what's the album? Something about kings. The New King, that's it. And so we played it on the show tonight. I thought you would really like that but you weren't. So we'll have to, you'll have to catch the, I was going to say you can catch the replay or download the archive if you want to. I'll slide you a link to that so you can check out the show. And then we, oh we ended, we closed it out with the Buggles debut album. So it was interesting. And we missed you. So anyway, next time. And can't think of anything else. There was something I wanted to mention but it escapes me now. So I'll just let it go at that and just say hello again to everyone and glad to make it in here tonight. Yeah, you should see the settings on the mixer. Same microphone. Can I just say real quickly for the last 10 minutes? Happy birthday Clay! Yay! Yeah. Less than 10 minutes left before it flips over to the 23rd. And we have to stop celebrating. I suppose we don't have to stop celebrating. But anyway, I've been enjoying my 65th birthday today. Getting up there. And been enjoying the net, doing a fine job. I've been educational. It's been funny. It's just been all around a good time. It's a nice birthday present. And as far as what's going on, not a whole lot. Got a bunch of plumbing parts ordered to pick some of the leaks around this place. We've got a couple of buckets that need to be dumped out about once every month. And what else? We have the plumbing ways. Oh yeah, just downstairs plumbing. And a leak that isn't because it's just turned off. So it doesn't leak, but it means that the fixtures don't work down there. But... The shower is the last one. We have to fix that. Oh yeah, and we have a leaky shower. And that's a bucket that can be dumped about every couple of hours. Hours? Yeah, it's a bad leak. Two... I can't think of the word. Two... what's that called? Gallons? Gallons. Yeah. Yeah, she's a metric girl, so gallons are foreign objects. Yeah, it's one of those cartridge things where you got to pull the knob off and you pull it all apart. So that I have something for the replays on the network. That's 2 hours and 59 minutes and 55 seconds long. Just 5 seconds short of 3 hours. That's the way the network can play little ID in there in between shows. Anyway, got that finished. And then I took Skye out for a walk. And Skye right now is patiently waiting to go out for a walk. I decided to wait and check into the net first. And got back in from that. And a little time passed and all of a sudden I realized, oh the net! And so I launched the browser first. And the voterscope came up and there's Jones' fingerprint on the voterscope. And it's like, oh good. The net's not over. And then I launched TransEase so that I could actually hear the audio. And nothing. Nothing heard. And the voterscope had gone quiet. It's like I must have seen the very closing transmission from the net. And so I missed out. Oh well. I figure better luck next week. But we had our own Halloween gathering tonight with the show. It was a Halloween theme. We played a Mannheim steamroller album called Halloween. And then Oingo Boingo's Deadman Party. And then, oh, Duran Duran. Another album called, oh no not called Halloween. What am I thinking? Oh no! I messed up the title name on the file. Oh well. I'm probably not going to fix it. Anyway, Duran Duran Dance Macabre. Another Halloween themed album. And so we had a lot of fun. People changed their nicknames to Halloween themed things like Spooky Cat and Ghoul on Hill and stuff like that. And a good time was had by all. What's that? Phantom Cat. There we go. Yep, hello to everyone. Hi to all the white elves. Yep, and yeah. And we've been battling wasps. And we just put up a couple of traps. And I almost made it in the first round, but I was putting my tools away from hanging a couple of traps in the house. And I was way down at the end of the hall and he said, more stations. And nobody came back and I was like, I'm coming, I'm coming. Well that's it for the first round. We'll draw the line. If I go, darn it. So, but here I am in the second round. We had plenty of traps up by the way, but we're kind of at the end of our work on that one. Yeah, we've been catching them and putting them outside. And somebody surmised that they might just be coming right back in if we do that. So anyway, they fill up the windows and oh gosh, we've got this basement door downstairs where they just, there's like 30 or 40 of them all clustered in one spot on the door. It must be a warm spot or something, but it's pretty crazy. And glad you enjoyed the show this evening. I certainly did. We played the Alice's Restaurant a couple of years ago, the 50 year anniversary version of it. So it was suggested that we play the old original 1967. I keep forgetting that's Arlo's debut album. And so that was a lot of fun and the Kansas certainly was excellent. And the Green Day, I enjoyed that too. It was more modern, but I don't mind the old stuff, but Ray T likes the new stuff. Oh, I thought I M.T'd there. But I can't think of anything else to say. We've been having a good time going at it and hope everyone else does too. And take care. 7-3 everyone and we'll turn it back over to Net Control KX2 CW. This is KG40ZW. Yes, of course, folks, anyone who knows Alice's Restaurant mass creed knows that this is the time of year to listen to it. And the sales always get a little booed around Thanksgiving because that's the occasion of the story. It goes to the friend's house in, I think it's Massachusetts, for Thanksgiving dinner. And Clay and Rachael, I have seen Arlo Guthrie in concert up in the Upper Peninsula. Peterson Auditorium, a little auditorium in Negaunee High School. And similarly as the Dave's Morning Big Band with the Great White Mother tour bus, Arlo Guthrie and his crew have their Great White Mother. So an old coach, that's how they travel, which I thought was very charming. Being from another family with one of those. Anyway, wasps. That's all I'm going to write down for notes. Wasps. I'll just say something anecdotal. You know, there's the Piaggio Vespa. How did the Vespa get its name? Folks, Vespa is Italian for wasp. We're giving a performance at Pure Seattle tomorrow and we'll start singing at about 13, 15, about an hour afternoon. So just letting you know, I'll make an announcement about that too. I have my own announcement. Well, Joe take care and my uncle Jimmy was in the Air Force, he's a retired colonel, and my brother Kevin joined the Air Force. So yeah, we're one of those families that every generation has a couple of the kids, you know, three or more sometimes. I also have my brother Eric, baby brother Eric is now a retired Marine Corps Master Sergeant, who is ironically the only one of us that still lives in our old hometown in northern lower Michigan. Anyway, take care Joe and good to talk to you and I'll send your call sign here. I won't do it. You probably couldn't hear it. Anyway, so moving right along. All right, I'm writing some numbers down here. Now is my brother Clay, Clay G4, OZW, and his wife, my sister Rachie, no call as of yet, and I'll let them give some reports. Clay G4, OZW, some reports. Clay G4, OZW, this is your sister KX2CW asking for you, 88, familial 19th century 88 to multi-view and 33 to Rachie. This is repeater station kilo kilo 7, November, Quebec, November, all star node 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. KX2CW in the net, this is KG4, OZW and Rachie. Hey everyone, hope you're having a good night. And glad to be here tonight. Yeah, it was a good show, wasn't it? Enjoyed that and already edited and uploaded for the archive for the replay purposes and just evenings running along smoothly and made it into the first round. That never happens. I think I doubled with Sean, but we'll see. I don't remember what happened after that. Oops. And anyway, I figured I'd give an eye report since I've been to the doctor's now and we know what's wrong with my eye, my blurry eye. I have cataracts. So I've decided since it's bad enough that I can't even read with that eye that I'm going to go ahead and have surgery done on that side, at least for the time being. And I can get that done before my new deductible kicks in next year. And so that's a good thing. And fortunately it's covered and everything. So, but yeah, they're going to do the lens replacement thing. And so Brian's going to drive me there since I won't be able to drive when I'm done because they sedate you. They don't knock you out completely, but they do sedate you. And so they won't let me drive for several hours after the procedure. And I expect to not need corrective lenses in that eye when I'm done with it. And I'm not sure when I'll get the left eye done, but they probably won't be a whole lot of time afterwards that. I wondered if I could make it until 2027, but I don't know if that's a good idea to go that long with unbalanced eyes. So anyway, that's about all I can think of to report right now. And I'll just say hello again to everyone. Oh yeah, I missed the net on Wednesday with Sean. We were at the eye appointment. That's what we were doing. And I was trying to remember why we couldn't make that. But anyway, we'll let it go at that and turn it back over to net control."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-12-24T07:56:53+00:00","id":94027,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":94026,"text":"Find that Joan, thank you very much and you have a good night, KG4OZW. So far it's just me and a whole bunch of guys. Bill, I didn't write Bill's name in there. And then it gets to Sean and Lisa. See, there we go. More stations please. KG4OZW playing Richie at Richie. Fort Payne, Alabama. All right, Clay. You know what, Clay? And no, I didn't look at the I can't see the water scope right now because cures that is covering filling the screen let me minimize that command M and Also command M on this one and also I'm just gonna I'm just gonna close Kwanzaa. I looked it up watch Kwanzaa by the way folks who this I looked it up It's not a religious holiday. It is a cultural celebration So you can celebrate Kwanzaa and Christmas, Christ's mass, at the same time, they overlap. So there's the photoscope, and there's Clay, Clay G4OZW, see I couldn't even tell you were there Clay, but I think there's some, you know, where our DNA codes are very similar and so maybe there is some super nature out there, because I was just thinking about you and I'm thinking, I wonder if Clay's gonna be next? And it was, it was, Clay was next. All right, KG4OZW, Clay, Ampers, and Rachie. Good show tonight, by the way, Clay. Both Clay and Rachie, they started out with one of my favorite Alan Parsons album, Pyramid, to which I have two copies in vinyl, one my old beat-up copy and another newer one. And then they played, Clay will elaborate on this hopefully, and then they played Darryl Hall and Dan Oates' 18th studio album and final studio album, their Christmas album, which I had never heard before. And then they played, their third album was Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues' 16th I think and final studio album which was their Christmas album entitled, December. So Moody Blues fans out there that have never heard it, I had never heard it. Just imagine the familiar Justin Hayward at all and the Moody Blues sound only is a Christmas album but it has everything from Gustav Holst to Irving Berlin to some of their own songs, Even the, even the, I won't say it. Oh dear, okay. I've got Clay and Rachie on the list. And more stations please."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":0.9478254827360312,"created_at":"2026-06-23T05:16:03.247472+00:00","id":119054,"node_number":"683211","recording_id":119055,"text":"All right, that squirts tail.
