So friends had some that were like 2,400 baud. I remember that. Anyway. All right. Good times there. Thanks for the report, Doug. We will catch you down the log. I'm Brian, KE7KZH. You know we had tanks with some scuba gear at our marina, Fairport Marine Electronics, but all we used it for was to install transducers on hulls of boats that we were installing sounders on. Anyway, take care Herb, glad to hear from you, and I hope all is well. Alright, next on the list is our Sunday evening net control operator, TE-7KZH Brian, and scritches to Tubby, and a sororical greeting to Jennifer, and a 88 hugs to both of you. Go ahead Brian. Good evening Joan, and the rest of the net. Jennifer says hello, she just stepped out of the room, but she said hello when I checked in earlier, and when you said hello to Herb. Tubby is right here, he's actually on the floor right now. I'm outside on my back porch, just kind of, it's been raining, I don't know what's going on in the rest of the Puget Sound area, but it's been raining here, and it's just kind of a real slow drizzle at this point. So kind of actually pretty happy about that, very humid, but sitting on the back porch with Tubby, and yeah, the mosquitoes are starting to come out, so I don't think I'm going to last too much longer, but I feel like there was something else I was going to say, but I just don't even remember other, I don't know. So I'll just, I swear there's something I was going to say, but maybe I'll recheck or something. I just wanted to say hello, oh yeah, you didn't ask me right before, but yes, I will be at the picnic on Saturday, and I even, it was late last week, I got a call like, hey, can you do this wedding gig? It'll be like 400 bucks, and I'm like, ugh, nope, I've got the picnic. So yes, I'm even turning down a $400 gig to go to the picnic sale, but this was on my calendar first, and I'm excited. So anyway, I'll see everyone on Saturday if I don't catch you on other nets before then. So with that, I'll send it back to KE7KZH. I'm not sure what happened there, but your signal was barely, barely hitting the Capital Park Master, and we literally heard probably the cumulative total of half a second of, I could hear your voice just barely blipping in like three different times. Other than that, we did not catch any of your report. So let me just right away see if you dumped power or see if there's something you can change in your situation and see if I can get you to do a quick test real quick. KA9EHV, please come back if you can. This is KA9EHV, is this better? You might end a different, you're lighting up the voter scope in bright green. So okay, so I will just say this, can you repeat everything you just said? Because we literally got zero percent. So Anne, please give us a report. Okay, I stand humiliated. This is KA9EHV, what I said is I went to a harp circle today and it was great fun, there were lots of neat people and neat harps there, and people played a lot of interesting repertoire. It wasn't like the last circle where everybody else played beautiful Celtic, very ornamented stuff. And I came in with It's Too Late by Carole King and Cats of the Cradle by Harry Chapin. This time people played everything from Broadway show tunes to some popular stuff and it was really nice. And so I ended up playing Yeasen Joann of Man's Desiring, my Beethoven mashup, and hang on a second. Okay, I'm still in there. My Beethoven mashup is a little bit different. My Beethoven mashup and my When You Walk Through a Storm from Carousel. So it was fun and I got to show off my cute little harp to people and prove that small harps are small but mighty and that was fine. Had to miss church, but apparently according to my husband I didn't miss much, so that's fine also. Anyway, that's about it for now. 73, 33, 88 to all of you. This is, I love you all and thanks, Brian, to you for doing the net. This is KA9H, be back to net. Good stuff and good signal there. So it sounds like maybe you bumped the power or something was going on there. All right, well very glad that you're okay as you're able to come in and give a lovely report there. So it sounds fun with that harp circle, Broadway tunes and pop music, that sounds fantastic. And then you with your Izu and your Beethoven mashup and small but mighty I wrote down. And then I wrote the quote from your husband, didn't miss much. All right, I just chuckled at that. All right, anyway, it sounds like a great day and thank you for sharing. We'll catch you down the log there, Ann. All right, that was the bottom of the list there. I am Brian, KE7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock net on the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. Let's open this up to all stations. I will acknowledge each station one at a time. So if you hear someone else giving their call sign, please, please wait for me to acknowledge them. Otherwise I may double with you. And then that just wastes everyone's time. So all right, that's it. All stations, please come now. Call sign and first name. 7L, your family experience will go double for you, Mike. Robert with... ...Juliet 7, Romeo Alpha Bravo, hey! All right, I think I may have actually had a triple there, but I did get W7LCO, Josh, Willco. I also got KJ7JXM, Robert, and KJ7RAB, Kimmy. Now let me just check, was there a third station, or fourth, if you say, was there another station in that mix that I did not acknowledge? Yeah, probably me, I might have been in that pileup. Wolf. All right, I heard a K, and then I heard Sean, KJ7EXM. Sean Wolf. Who was the other K station that keyed up? KJ7, with Lueckenia, Matt, Liven, RF, All-Star Note 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. Matt is back in RF land. I love it, KJ7WQI. All right, good stuff. All right, so I actually have you right before Sean, because I did hear your key up first there, and I already wrote a K. All right, so let's see who else is out, who would like to get in on this round. Please come now, call sign and first name. Kilo Alpha, Joseph Romeo Alpha, Cody, your IO. All right, KE6RAX, Peter, I've got your IO. Cody, just wanted to double check, Alpha, Golf 7, Lima, Rodeo, did you say IO, or do you have a report tonight? I am IO, KJ7LR. Hey, good stuff. Remember, there's a double, I try to confirm. Every time I don't confirm that, it bites me. All right, good stuff, Cody. We'll catch you down the log, and thanks for stopping by, Peter, KK6RAX. It was a lot of fun. And so, that's kind of what we did today. And then came home and just kind of just been just chores around the house the rest of our Sunday night domestic engineering. So, with that, I'm going to say thanks for coming on 7-3, K-9, BDC, back to net. Hey, good stuff there, Brooks. Poor Keegan puppy. Hopefully, hopefully, the little puppy finds its forever home very soon there. And it's funny that Trixie and Reby were like, Greeeeel! This isn't happening. Maybe you'd have Keegan again tonight. I'm not sure if it was because of that or not. But anyway, hey, well, good luck to that. Sounds like you and Megan had a great day there. So, K-9 MLR waves to you and an I-O in the book here. So, thanks for that, Brooks. We will catch you down the log here. All right, I am Brian, K-E-7, K-Z-H. This is the 9 o'clock net. I guess I'll reset and take a real quick turn myself. So, yes, I am Brian, K-E-7, K-Z-H. I'm in my QTH here in Marysville, Washington. I feel like I had a pretty, pretty quiet weekend. I don't want to, I guess it's almost over. I was going to say, every time I say the Q word, I feel like I'm jinxing it. Whenever I say, oh, yeah, it's been quiet. I just jinx it. Something's going to happen. Anyway, let's see, I have the home project with the garage slash ham shack slash whatever. It's coming along. The room itself is done. I just need to get some primer and some, kind of clean it out and some other final touches on the door and whatnot. So hopefully my contractor people are able to get that all squared away this week. I've got a couple of other dues, a little list of kind of smaller things throughout the rest of the house that they're going to help with too. So hopefully everything gets wrapped up here. And anyway, yeah, back to work tomorrow. And my wife's brother is coming to visit on Thursday. So that will be exciting. We're kind of hoping all this other stuff gets wrapped up because right now all the stuff from the garage is sitting in the front living room and it just looks like a complete disaster in here. So it'll be good to just have this all buttoned up, especially before we have a house guest. So clock is ticking. All right, that's all I got. I'll send it back to myself, K-7, K-Z-H."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-07-20T22:06:22+00:00","id":8940,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":8939,"text":" Alright, nothing great. So, fancy. I think the oink-a-loo oinks just beautifully. It was a nice day today, 100 degrees, very, very hot. But other than that, it was a nice day. My brother and I went and met some friends to go out for eat tonight. So that was good. And all the animals are doing well. Staying inwards too, although it's much better at night. I probably have about five cats out on the back porch right now. Big green porch, I love it out there. And Rob has the dog and two other cats in bed with him. One of the kitties, Tanner, will come in with me later on. And he likes to lick my hand and arm, he's a looker. So, I'll be awakened to that and then we'll both soon go back to sleep. So that will be fine, with Tanner and I. So, a good day was had by all. I did not go to church, so I woke up like a dead last night with a migraine. And my neck was bothering me with my teeth and ears. And it wasn't much better this morning, so I dug up my old cervical collar and took that on. And that seemed to help, at least I didn't change my neck anymore when I was leaning it down or turning it in another direction. So, if you start backing up again, I'll put the collar on again because it helps. So that was good. Just hope that I'm going to have to learn a bit with it. I'm not complaining, just letting you all know what's going on. The only thing I was risking now, not only church, but I missed the picnic after. My son's going to be very good. And everyone at the church paid for the picnic, so that was good. They had a good turnout. So, talked to my other brother tonight, he's doing good. His cataract surgery is going well. He goes back to the doctor on Tuesday for his follow-up. And then he has another one done next Monday. So, there will be another two weeks with all those eye drops you have to put in and everything. But at least he'll know what to expect the second time around. And everybody else is doing good. So take care. And it was good to hear from you. And it was good to hear from you, Joan, and everyone on the net. So back to you, Brian. Thank you. You're very good. Oscar Mike Oscar. Hey, good stuff there, Elaine. Feels like a great day there, even though you had to miss church. But it sounds like you stayed busy otherwise. I've got to say 100 degrees, and I know the humidity there. I would be not happy. It sounds like the cats are perfectly happy out on the evening there. Hopefully it's cooled off a little bit there. So good luck to your brother and the cataract surgery. Sounds like the first was a success. Hopefully the next one goes equally as well. So, all right. Well, thanks for that check in so much there. And we will catch you down the log there. All right. That was the bottom of the list. I am Brian, K-E-7, K-Z-H. This is the 9 o'clock net on the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. That's me in the airport, AJ7FN. Hey, very cool. We love it, we love it. Playing some radio over on Gashon so it sounds like you got everything programmed up appropriately. Taking advantage of that low noise floor there. Yeah, very good. It's amazing. Even without the elevation, just when you have that flatness of the water, it's amazing what the signal can do there. Hey, very cool. Thanks for sharing that with us tonight. Glad you had a lovely, loosely traveling for work. I love that term there. Then just extended that into some vacation there. Hey, thanks for sharing that with us tonight, Jeff. We'll catch you down the lodge here. Have a great week. Alright, I am Brian, KE7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock net. First is the Radio Club of Tacoma has their open house, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Followed by that every Saturday evening is the SimplexNet. This happens 8 p.m. local time on 146.56. So 8 p.m. local time. We kind of did like a quartet retreat and just playing music and then went hiking for a little bit today and then played more music and made some food. And now I'm running the net from my car here. All right, anyway, good stuff there, and it's always good with a free beer. My right, and good stuff that you serve as a net host. It is definitely an interesting skill to have, and I think I've been doing this for a number of years now and stuff, but it's still, it can take a lot to keep track of everything and really listen intently and pull out those call signs, especially when people double and triple. Anyway, good stuff there, thanks for sharing, and we will catch you down the log. All right, I am Brian, KE7KZH. This is the nine o'clock net on the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. I'm gonna read some announcements real quick. I do pull these over from the PSRG discussion group over on Facebook. Most are replicated directly over on PSRG.org as well. I will read some highlights from that right after I reset. All right, the first thing we have coming up here is a couple of recurring events. The first is the Radio Club of Tacoma as their open house, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The second event, of course, is the Simplex Net, which happens on 146.56 at 8 p.m. Pacific time, a local time that is just in the Puget Sound area, although, hey, if other people start doing Simplex Nets in other areas, it sounds like it could be fun. Anyway, this one is just the Puget Sound area, so again, 146.56 at 8 p.m. And of course, this coming Saturday, July 26, is, drum roll please, sorry, it will be the PSRG annual picnic, so Saturday, July 26 over at Magnolia Park. There is a sign up for this. There is limited space according to what they can reserve, so make sure you do sign up over at PSRG.org. There's an entry close to the top there, and just quick fill out the form, say who you are and who you're bringing and what you're bringing to eat and if you're available for any setup and teardown. So yes, head over to PSRG.org if you plan on attending the picnic, and I think you should. I will be there. All right, let me reset. All right, the next thing we have coming up here, we do have a Rain or Shine event already on the calendar here. This will be, let's see, an ice cream social on Sunday, August 10th, and that will be 2025. Yep, mark down Sunday, August 10th for the E-Net ice cream social Rain or Shine. Sorry, this will be held over on the east side of Green Lake just north of the Paddle Boat Rentals and the Green Lake Cafe. All right, and it will be hosted by Kami, KJ7RAP, and Robert, KJ7JXM. Wave to them if they're still listening and haven't already gone to sleep. And so yeah, that will be fun. Come see hams in 3D. Oh, call in frequency 146.55. Bring a folding chair, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, et cetera. All right, the next thing we have coming up here is Sunday, August 17th will be the PSARA, Antique Radio and Vintage Electronics Swap Meet. This will be held over at the Shoreline Community College. Again, that's on Sunday, August 17th, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All right, I'm gonna go ahead and just draw the line right there. Of course, if you missed any of that or even want a couple future events that I haven't mentioned, feel free to, again, head over to the PSRG discussion group over there on Facebook. Look for Jack's Penn Topic under the featured section. I don't know if it says events to consider anymore, but just look under the featured section in that group. All right, I am Brian, GE7KZH. And then I looked at the thermometer, and it's 86 degrees, that's why. So then I felt better, okay? But for a while there, I was thinking, okay, not my normal self. So I got concerned. But yeah, it got really hot. And I did get some, a bit disarvances. And I got in, I'm a workout, so I got in workout number 2,704 today. And so I've been in it for many years now, like seven plus. Got that out of the way. Other than that, it was a great day just to piddle around in the yard and get a few things done. In the next few days, I'm going to have some roof work done. So I think what I'm going to have to do, I'm going to disconnect all my antennas, because my, where I have it on my antennas goes straight through the roof. Okay, when I had this add-on built in like 1990 or so, I had to wear the cables that go right up to the roof, and they go right out through, you know, an electrical, oh I don't know what you call it, you know, same as you would have your electrical coming into your home, but this comes right up through the roof and everything. So I'm going to probably disconnect all that and have an indoor antenna for two meters. And I guess I'll just have to go through HF withdrawals. You know, not that I know all that active lately anyway. Anyway, that's my story sticking to it. KF7 okay, back to net. Hey, good stuff there. Yeah, I just ran some coax up to my attic to kind of do something similar, but it's not poking out. I don't have the antennas up yet. Yeah, I've definitely got those taken down. Your signal coming in, it looks like you're hitting, what is it, Buck and, no sorry, Cougar and Lake Forest Park, and you were hitting both of them like full 255, so hopefully that indoor antenna, you can at least make one of those receiving stations pretty well. I guess you could, so hopefully you can at least hit this repeater, and it sounds like you're not super active on the HF right now anyway, but I know that as soon as you take down those antennas, you'll be itching to do HF. That's just, when you know you can't, then you're going to crave it. So anyway, good luck on that roof repair, and we'll catch you down the log there, Doug. Oh yeah, potatoes, yeah, definitely sounds yummy. Alright, next on the list here, Rebecca, how are you doing tonight, and more importantly, como esta el presidente, KK7IJZ, please give us a report. Well, Brian, el presidente is doing wonderfully. So, he has pretty much the top floor, all of the courts have been bonafide, and the carpets have been, the rugs have been laid down, we've gathered up, yeah, we've gathered up all of our extra rugs, and just made him pads all around. Upstairs, he's in heaven, he loves it. He's so cute. Today I bought him these, what they call, they're like garden sticks, but they are these little shoe sticks that are Timothy Hay and Mint and Peat Lake, like all mashed together to make like little sticks, I don't know why, how many times can a person say sticks? Sticks, sticks, sticks, sticks, sticks, sticks, sticks. But he was, yeah, he appreciated it so much, so we just sat together while he was eating his little, his fun little garden sticks. And yeah, he loved them. His presidente is doing so good. He for sure is the presidente de la casa. But yeah, my cat, so I have two cats and Andy, my dog, so one of my cats Dewey is the best, and he and El Presidente get along so well. They love each other. And Dewey, they clean each other. I don't know if you've seen bonded pairs of rabbits, but one of my favorite things is that they clean each other, but Dewey and El Presidente clean each other. And they lay down together. And yeah, but Dewey is like the best cat. He's so awesome, but this morning he somehow got out. They're both, both of my cats are indoor cats, and my neighbor called and woke me up, and yeah, so Dewey was out just being a wild cat out there. He didn't know what he was doing. I went out there looking for him, because when my neighbors came out he had run off, and he was just like, I don't know what I'm doing. What is this? What have I done? And so it was pretty easy to get him back inside the house, but it just made the heart drop, because I love Dewey so much. He's the best cat. He's so sweet. I said, I think on the noon net or this morning's net, he's like that cat when people hate cats and they meet Dewey, they always say, I hate cats except for Dewey. That's Dewey. But yeah, Dewey's the best. He's so sweet. But yeah. Anyway, that's all for the pet report. My cat, Obby, orange baby is here, just being his most self. And Andy is downstairs visiting with Valentin, my brother-in-law. And that is the Rebecca pet report. Brian, thank you so much for hosting the net. I'm glad I got to give you a weird pet update. 7-3-88 and 33 everybody, KK7IJZ. Hey, I'll take the pet report any day there, especially when it comes to bunnies and kitties. Love it. I will say this. My rabbit, his favorite treat is it's a brand called Selective Naturals. And they make these little loops, metal loops and country loops and berry loops. I call them bunny-o's because they're in a big circle and stuff. And I just split them in half. My rabbit loves those. So anyway, I'm glad the El Presidente is getting the king's treatment, the presidential treatment per his name there. Good stuff. Thanks for the pics the other day. And yeah, glad everything is well. We will catch you down the log there, Rebecca. You have a good one. Alright, I am Brian, KE7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock net on the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. Move along here to our Monday night net host. How are you tonight, Joe? I should have said Rebecca is also a multi-net host for many 9 o'clock nets. But Joe runs Monday night KXQTW. How are you, Joe? Please, give us your report. Hello there, Brian. Hi, Rebecca. 33TU and all my YLs. I'm glad I went to the Raider Shine net. Ice cream social at Green Lake. It's easy for me to get there. My MO for transportation with my tiny electric bike, I intentionally made it as small as I could. And I even got the shortest BMX bike frame that I could find. At the same rubber sale there was a better, ostensibly better Schwinn BMX bike frame when it was above. In inches, about 4 or 5 inches longer. And I liked the yellow one because, which of course goes to the east region for the name Bumblebee, because it was really the shortest BMX bike frame I could find. I bought it for $15 at a rubber sale on Beacon Hill. And then, it might have been on Mt. Baker, but I think it was Beacon Hill. No, it was on Mt. Baker. That's where the rubber sale was. See? See? And now I digress. Anyway, so, the reason I wanted to be really short, because I meant it for commuting with light rail. So I could just back it into the little corner there for the bicycles. And on the new coaches, there's more space. Enough space that I can actually tuck the front wheel in. So, barely just one handlebar kind of sticks out into the aisle slightly. And that's because of those really wide monkey bars I'm trying to take away to make them all flimmer. There's my two minute behavior. So, wrap it up, Joe. Wrap it up. So, I forgot what I was telling you. Oh yeah, my MO is to ride it to the nearest light rail station, and then take my rail to the station that's nearest where I'm going, and then ride my bike the last mile. Literally, in this case. And it's a nice way to get around. It's like my light rail extender module. So, I was glad to have some good conversations with people. Diane, W70H, you know, W as in whiskey, and OH as in the hydroxyl group at the end of the alcohol molecule. But anyway, and I'll stop there. KXTCW, Joan, on Broadway, all the numbers on my hands. Plane sailing, everybody. Okay, good stuff. So glad you were able to make the Rainer shine net, and I love your mode of transportation. Getting the light rail and getting that last mile there. So, glad it all worked out. And yeah, hopefully it was a fun time there. Hopefully get a few more ice cream social reports there. Really, I was bummed I could not make it there today, but I had too many other priorities that I had to attend to. So, anyway, thanks for that report there. And of course, Joan will be running the next 24 hours from now. So, stop in and say hi to Joan tomorrow. So, thanks for that, Joan. 73 is to you, and we'll catch you down the log there. Alright, next up, Jeff. Down to the Bay Area we go. Give me a squirrel report and then some, if you please. Jeff, Alpha Bravo Six, Mike Bravo, please go ahead with the report. Okay, I'm glad you reminded me of the squirrel report. I probably would have forgot it. Well, the squirrel report is, well, the squirrels were out there on the patio and eating up the peanuts and also the other nuts out there, and they were pretty happy. You know, and Sunday and Tuesday came by, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and Princess in the morning and Rocky at night, and he was having a great time. He was really hungry. He kept chewing away. Then he took off and when it got dark, he just goes to his bunny, not bunny, but you know, the squirrel bed at that day. Yeah, my grandson came over today and it was really the first time we spent any time alone together, and it was interesting talking to him. He's 20 years old and he's a really good kid, and just, you know, he's just getting his start in life and working at a lumber company, a lumber yard, and thinking about getting a second job. He did a nice talking to you, and we were just talking about music. He likes death metal type, you know, heavy duty metal bands and that, so they said, okay, well, you listen to him. And actually some of them kind of were okay, you know, and so it was something like the metal I used to listen to. The singers are constantly screaming, and you can't understand a word they're saying, but other than that, maybe that was a good thing, depending on what they wrote. Let's see what else happened today. Oh yeah, it's on the Papa System on their net tonight, and we're having a few of the Papa System, probably five or ten, are going out to Santa Cruz Island and camp there for four or five days. And what we've done every year is, me and one of the guys' wives, we don't go, but we handle the cogs because there's no cell service out there. So you have to use a repeater, so we make sure there's at least one of us listening to the repeater in case somebody out there needs something, you know, we got to urge you into our phone, somebody needs to be called, or, you know, something like that. And a couple years ago, they had the hurricane came across Mexico, went right up, right up Santa Cruz Island, and it was going to go over the top of the island there, which would have been good. So we got the word out to those guys, and they had plenty of warning, and we were able to get everybody off the island ahead of time so nobody was caught there in the big storm. So that's something about, you know, emergencies can come out of nowhere, no matter, they're just amazing. What do you have to be? Hurricane, crossing Mexico, then going up the west coast. What do you have? Anyways, it's good to hear everybody out there tonight talking about what they're going to bring and looking forward to it and that, so it's pretty cool. Anyways, so back to that, AB6MB. Okay, good stuff there. Glad you're able to spend some time with your son there. Death Metal. I wonder if you, I do appreciate some, I guess the hardest rock I've listened to, I've seen it three times, both of these bands, Opeth and Mastodon. Pretty heavy stuff there. I tend to not listen to a ton of Super Death Metal there. I've seen Flipknot and Comfort, if that counts, I don't know if that's Death Metal or not. Anyway, good stuff there. Oh yeah, I think you mentioned those comms, monitoring that repeater in previous years and stuff. So good on you for doing your part and being out there in the ham radio community, that's what this is all about. That's why we do this. As social of sorts, don't get me wrong, but yeah, we do it out there for those emergency communications and it can really come in handy as you have experience. So thank you for doing that. Thank you for sharing. We'll catch you down the log here, Jeff. Alright, next up here, oops, I should have looked up your name. Give me your name. I'm looking for Kilo Bravo 5 Tango Whiskey Golf. How are you tonight? Please give us your report."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-10T21:22:29+00:00","id":16028,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16027,"text":" And I actually made it in time. Not bad. Anyway, it was wonderful. You know, and Mr. Bryant, I've got so much to tell you. There's so little time. Ahem. Excuse me. Um. I'm here for surgery. Uh, on my cataracts. That nobody knew I had. Um, until now, I just told you. Um, it was supposed to be August 16th. As September 5th. Well, that got postponed to September 5th and October 3rd. You know, that's when I was supposed to get the surgery. And then five days later, go back for the follow-up. Um. So, I'm doing the inpatient surgery. I'm going to consider my multiple trips to the hospital. They can't trust me. Going to an outpatient. Uh, so I'm going to be, you know, under the gas. And I'll be completely out. And, uh, approximately a ten minute surgery. Where they slice meat on the eyelid. Or the eyelids. Slide out the cataract and put the new lens in. And somehow, it magically seals itself. I don't know. Uh, if they do a little bit of liquid glue on my eyelid or what. Um, I don't know. I'll have to find out on my second visit. When they prepped me for the surgery. But, uh, other than that, I'm doing well. Uh, I'm currently in the hospital right now. Uh, dealing with a little bit of the flu. Um. CHF and pneumonia. And once I get that all situated, I can go home. I'm looking maybe like Tuesday, maybe Wednesday at the latest. So, not to let the allergies or fight me. Crimes. That's about where I stand. So with that, I'll tell you a sight. Thank you for running to that. I keep up the good work. Hey, this is Charlie. GDC2. STO, back to that. This is repeater station kilo, kilo seven. November, Quebec to order. Well, Charlie, thank you for sharing that news. Uh, it's clear that you need the cataract surgery. But glad that it's got, you got it all scheduled and stuff. Like, you're gonna know what to expect. You know, like, how they put that back in there. I'm just imagining them using some, like, flex tape or something like that. But anyway, let us know as that approaches and stuff. If you have any concerns and stuff. And definitely good news. You'll be getting home from the hospital there, hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday. So, you sound like you're in good spirits and all that. So thank you so much for checking in. Wish you the best of luck here on recovering the print, ailments and stuff. And we'll look forward to the next one there. So, hey, we'll catch you down the log there, Charlie. I hope you have a great night. Thanks for the checking. Alright, I am Brian, KE7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock net on SRT repeater in Seattle, Washington. Let's take all stations now. Just give me a call sign and a first name. All stations, please come now. KF7OK, Doug. I heard someone else, but I got KF7OK, Doug. Next station, please. KK7IJZ, KK7IJZ, Rebecca. There's Rebecca, KK7IJZ. You'll be number two on the ground. Stations, please. KX2CW. And there's Joan, KX2CW. More stations, come ahead. Alpha, Bravo 6, Mike, Bravo. And there's Jeff, Alpha, Bravo 6, Mike, Bravo. You're on the list. More stations, please. KNOK, Bravo 5, KNOK, we need a golf with an I-O. HODSCH, Mike, HODSCH. November 3, HODSCH, Mike, HODSCH. A lane in Florida. Hello, Brian. JUO, Echo 6, Romeo, Alpha, X-Ray, Peter, Santa Cruz, I-O. Let me catch up here. I did get KB5TWG. And then there's another station, which I'm going to ask for in a moment. After that, I did get entry OMO Elaine. And then I got an I-O there for Peter, KE6RAX. Who is the station I missed in the middle there? Oh, it might have been me. KJ7EX, I'm... Ha ha, it was Sean sneaking in there. KJ7EXM, got you on the list there, Sean. More stations from 9 o'clock neck, come ahead. Last station, you were barely keying up the repeater. I think it was coming into the buck, but barely. I could just tell someone was there, couldn't make out anything. I'm not sure if you can increase power or move locations. Can you try one more time? This is Kilo, Mike, 7, Alpha, Quebec, November. From Birmingham, I just changed from my H2, Echo Link. Good evening, no control. Ah, okay, perfect. I got you there on Echo Link. KM7HUN, you were on the list. Anyone else who would like to join this round, please come ahead. Call sign Thursday. Kilo Kilo 7, Charlotte Sierra Golf Mobile, Ryan with an R, I-O. Hey, Ryan, I think you're probably on your way to work. KK7CSG, you have a good one and I'll catch you down the log. Anyone else for this round, please come ahead. KK7CSG, you have a good one and I'll catch you down the log."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-10T22:21:59+00:00","id":16032,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16031,"text":" Two years back we got this beautiful, it said like eight or nine seats in a duck town sectional. And it was really quite nice except for one thing, it took up just all of our living room to the point that it's just that narrow walkways to get in and out. And it kind of blocked off, you know, it's open, but that kind of closed off. And so we decided to get rid of half of it and I set about creating a plan to extract it out of there and then move another piece to where the one that we were moving was going to be gone. And it was just very heavy, so I brought, took out the old reciprocal saw and cut that sucker down into eight individual liftable pieces and that was quite fulfilling. So anyway, that's all loaded in my trailer and it's going to make it run to the dump tomorrow probably. Let me pause. And on Friday we've been waiting for it. We had gotten a 3D printer that's called an Ender 3 Pro that's kind of just a basic one and that got us totally addicted into it. And then we got another model called an Anycubic Cobra S1 and that kind of failed within the first day or so and it was a panda clone. Panda is like the Cadillac of them all. And we set that back and on Friday received delivery of our new Panda Labs P1S. And it's just a phenomenal printer. It's twelve times faster than the old one that we had. And we're just having so much fun with it. I've got probably 200 hours worth of printing to do just to make some cool accessories for the P1S. And so we're having a riot doing all those things and picking them out and then building them and that's consuming my time. So that's all I've got. It's Magoo, Kilo Kilo 7s and the Bubba Juliet. Back to Ned. I was just trying to picture you hacking the sectional into eight pieces like they're methodically loading it up. Yeah, good on you. Sounds like a lot of work there but probably satisfying there. And yeah, congrats on that new 3D printer. It sounds like you did get the Cadillac of sorts. So like the other one crapped out on you very quickly there. So have fun with all that 3D printing. Definitely want to see some of the stuff that you're making there. So very cool. Thanks for the check in. We'll catch you down a lot. Alright, three more on this round. I am Brian, KE7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock net on the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. Dean, you're going to be up next. KG7ODB. How are you tonight, Dean? Please give us a report. Good evening Brian and everybody on the net. This is Dean, KG7ODB. Doing well tonight. It was a nice day today. Went over to the Rain or Shine at, or I should say the Ice Cream Social at Green Lake. And I saw a lot of people there. As usual, I don't want to mention everybody's name because I know I'll forget somebody. But I did want to mention John KG7WOI was there. And that was a great thing because there were a number of people. Cami had never met him before. So that was really exciting. But also, so if you ever check into the Saturday morning net, there's always this ongoing thing where John always checks in late in the net, like right around 10-10. And sometimes it's like clockwork. And so the interesting thing is apparently, Theresa and Dana met John today for the very first time. Even though he's been this integral part of their net for years. So anyway, it's always good to see him. And also of course all the other people. One person who wasn't there was Sean, who checked in earlier. KJ70XM. And the problem was, so I stopped off and bought donuts for everybody. Well, the PSRT paid for them. But I always get extra maple bars because that's kind of the humorous mnemonic that came out of Sean's call sign. So there were all these extra maple bars. But I think they were well consumed. So they didn't go to waste. But anyway, I don't really have too much more to add. But yeah, maybe I'll see you at the next one. The next one, really, the antique radio show is almost a rain or shine. So it's like Cammie and Robert are doing their net. And I think Jack's going to be there. So you got the, I don't know, the pieces. So anyway, KJ70DB, back to that. Oh, we should put that on the announcement there that the next, that rain or shine over at Shoreline Community College, August 17th, Sunday. Actually, I already know I will not be able to be there. I have a gig up on one of the islands this weekend. And it's going to be an overnighter. There's no way I'll make the ferry back in time for that. But that does sound like a good time there. So hey, glad to be able to meet John, KJ70WOI. I met him over a decade ago. I know that. But I'm not sure if I've seen him since. So anyway, glad KJ70WOI was there. And it sounds like it was a fun time at the rain or shine ice cream social event there. So very cool. And we'll see each other soon there, Dean. But hey, thanks for the check in. And you have a good night there. All right. Two more on this round. Next up, Michael up in Yukon. So I got to ask, you know, when it's cold all the time, do you eat as much ice cream as the rest of us? How goes that? Michael, Victor Yankee One, Mike Golf Sierra, how are you? Please give us a report."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-10T22:09:33+00:00","id":16030,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16029,"text":" I'm going to start on the check in. This is the show off of the tango whiskey golf county in Wichita Falls, Texas. Anybody who's on the net tonight, it's good to be here again. Sometimes my board gets in the wind, and I'm not able to get on. All right, it's a busy day today. We're 13 minutes away from our 100, 700 micro ride here in Wichita Falls. And so we're doing a little bit of the Angioregionally and the Palm Church, the waste blanket, and all the folks who are coming up to the rest stops and the recent fire vehicles and water trailers and things like that. Getting our supplies ready for our meeting in the 2030s from now, but trying to get all that stuff squared away. And other than that, doing a little bit of research, trying to get some interest in all this fire and maybe get a couple more people checked into y'all's nets every in the evening. So we're kind of working on a cloud hub or a node and doing some research on that and exactly what would it take and where to go and what servers are the better ones and all the way from whichever ones will get us the best throughput to be able to get more people attached in. So that's all that we've got going on here in North Central Texas. And here is Tony. Turn up by 5, 10, and he's off. Thank you. Hey, good stuff there, Tony. Well, tell us after the event how that piece had hotter than hell a bike ride there. It sounds like you're doing a lot of coordination there for the hand radio and the water stations and all that good stuff. So once again, another two examples back to the back of using hand radio in the community for events. We love that around here for sure. So we have some other hubs that connect in. We regularly get the dew drop in and some others there that join us and we get stations checking in from all over the world. We love it there. So let us know how it goes. If I give some constructive feedback, Tony, you're a little bit hot on your mic. It almost sounds like you're just too close. I'd say just back off maybe a couple inches. Not sure what kind of mic or radio you were talking into through the All Star. It was a little bit hot, a little bit overdriven there. Other than that, it sounded good. So thanks for that, Tony. Let us know how it goes. We'll get you down the log. All right, again, I'm Brian, KE7KZH, 859 O'ClockNet. We have three more ins on this round. So up next, Ron, how are you doing tonight? HE7EXM, please give us a report. Well, this is Kate, HE7EXM here. My report goes as follows. I had a nice day today. Although it could have been better had I had a one bus away info that I really wanted. But it wasn't top, so I couldn't tell which bus was supposed to go anywhere close. So I wasn't able to show up to the ringer time, but there are other times. And so I know there was a time when I was supposed to show up at the next one. But I hope everybody had fun over there at the park because that's a good park to go to. Otherwise, I'm doing okay. And I've been wondering why I was feeling kind of, you know, slinky. And it's because it's hot. I didn't count on it to be this warm today. I was thinking like 60s, 70s. I didn't count on it being 80s, but okay. But I'm feeling okay. I didn't count on it being 80s, but okay. Other than that, I had a nice long talk with KJ 7R Dale earlier. Hold on a second. And I was via text, so we were texting back and forth. So I'm pretty sure that anybody that was near KJ 7R Dale heard a little conversation that was going on. But basically I was teasing him. He was teasing me when he started it. I finished it. But of course he had to come back. And so I told him I can't turn the sun off. It doesn't work that way. My arm's not that long. It's about a million miles away. It's kind of hard for me to stretch my arm out that far. But we had a good chat. So that was good. And then I mentioned something about cup cups. So yeah, that conversation was good. But then I also asked him how was his little trip going up the stairs. He said he was fine. Although a little mishap, but otherwise it's fine I guess. But we had a good time chatting via text. And so I know everybody had fun today. And I'm glad they did because that's the way to go. Especially for being almost the end of summer. So who knows. I'm going to go have a good time listening to the rest of you. Because that's the thing to do. And now that I'm going to get us back on. This is KJ7EXM. Turn you back to net control. Like yours. Well, I'm glad you had a great day there, Sean. Even if you didn't make the Rainers shine ice cream net today. I just hope you had a good time. And I'll see you next time. Sean, have you not learned how to turn the sun off yet? Come on. Good luck. You have a great day there, Sean. We'll catch you down the log here real soon. All right. Down to Zephyrhil, Florida we go. Tonight Elaine. And three oink, oink. Otherwise known as oink entry OMO. I'll say it correctly there. How are you tonight, Elaine? This is repeater station Kielo. Thank you, Brian. This is Elaine. And three OMO. I'm doing very well tonight. Thank you. It's been a great day. It's been warm. We felt like 102 degrees. Which is nothing unusual for what it is this time. Had some good things going on. We had some good things going on. We had some good things going on. Had some good things coming up this week. Had to make a phone call tomorrow. I decided to get a generator for the house. Something like a Generex generator. But I have to call a cocaine company. And see how we go about hooking up another extra tank. And if they deal with anybody here like Generex or someone else. For a generator. Because I decided with Rob, my brother, we don't need to be without power or air conditioning or lights. Especially me with my heart problems and COPD. And the animals. They've got to stay cool. So I think this will be a good investment. So I've got to do some digging on that tomorrow. And some other things. Let me see what else. Not very much is happening. It's been a good day. Good week. I decided to get a little more productive. And start writing or doing my pedaling machine twice a day. To make a 30 minutes a day now. And I've got a weekly plan of books that I want to make. And I've got a weekly book that I want to make. And I've got a weekly book that I want to make. And I've got a weekly book that I want to make. And I've got a weekly plan of books that I want to make. And I've got a weekly plan of books that I want to make. And I've got a weekly plan of books that I want to make. And I'm also going to be starting a 52 week travel study for women on my own. So I think that will be a good thing to do. There's certain meetings every day. So that will be good. And I kind of like the idea that it takes Sunday off. So you can catch up with your reading if you've missed any. Or just be with family. Which is the most important. So I'm looking forward to this week to seeing how I can change some of my own behaviors. And make it a little more productive. I still want to watch my game show and things like that too. But I've been sitting too much and not getting as much done as I need to get done. Let me take a break. In 3LMO returning. I also have to start going through all the papers in the house and my desk. And blocking out all of the information I don't want people to know before I shred it. And put it in the garbage. I've got to start doing things like that every week. To try and clear some of this stuff out and get more organized. So when my time comes, and I think it's going to be anytime soon. But when my time does come, my brothers won't have to go through all that and decide what's this and what's that. I can get rid of all the stuff I don't need anymore and make it a lot easier for everyone. So that's my plan for this week. All the animals are doing fine. My brother starts driving school bus tomorrow for the year. And here in Florida, his first pick up is at 521. And school starts at 630. Unbelievable. But then they're out at 1 o'clock. So that works out well. But he doesn't get home until 4. Anytime he picks up all the kids and he gets back to running place and all that, back to his school. But anyway, school starts tomorrow. So everybody have a good day. Good day tomorrow. Or today actually. Because it's quarter to 1 here a.m. So it's a Monday here already. So thanks for taking my call, Brian. 73, 88 to all. I love you all. November 3, ask and like Oscar. Wow, school starts so early there. That is crazy here in the Pacific Northwest. Or at least in Washington state, the Puget Sound area. We usually want to start until the beginning of September. So start so early. But good for Rob for driving the bus there. Keep all the kids safe there for sure. And yeah, I did get a generator installed right when I moved into this house a few months ago. It was one of the first things I did. And yeah, I did. We had to talk to the gas company, natural gas, to see what the line could support. I could not get a whole home generator without them. And I'm not going to get a whole home generator. Without them ripping up all the gas lines. And it would have cost many thousands of dollars. And they would have to remove my beautiful woodedendron bushes and all that good stuff. So I opted for a little bit smaller generator that covers all the essentials there. So I figured, eh, it's good enough in that emergency. So definitely good luck with that. And waves over to Rob and his first day driving the kids tomorrow. We'll catch you down the log there, Elaine. You have a good night. Alright, and then last on this round, we're going to go and see how Javier is doing over in Bremerton. Kilo Mike 7, Alpha, Quebec, November. How are you tonight? Please give us your report. Good evening guys, this is Javier, Kilo Mike 7, Alpha, Quebec, November. Just to let you know, I'm a movie here. I did my second time here and then I went to the 9 o'clock AM net. I just did my first IO. I'm just here to learn from you guys and just be people. Naturally from the island of Puerto Rico. And I moved to the States in 2010. Due to the nature of my job, I'm an aircraft mechanic. I've been around all the country. But then in 2019, I decided to move to the beautiful Pacific coast. In Seattle, I live at Howard. Right now I'm at Port Orchard. Working actually working on an aircraft for the rest of the week here. But yeah, I'm just here to meet all this great group of friends and camaraderie around here. And hope to learn more. I apologize for the first try that I did, the first transmission. I was trying to test my HD. Looks like the battery was a little bit low. That's why I had to go through the EcoLink. But it's just baby steps in learning. Guys, 73.12, you guys and 88. Have a good night guys. Hey, well good stuff to have you here. I just welcome welcome. Sounds like you did an I.O. this morning. But what you stumbled upon and it gets you figured out. We are here at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. seven days a week. We also have a new net that happens every day. And so yeah, there are other nets that happen around here. So we're really glad you stumbled upon the Puget Sound Repeater Group. And again, more information about our group. We have a website there called psrg.org. We also have a Facebook page which has a lot of activity that's going on. So if you head over to Facebook and you do a search. If you have Facebook. And you do a search for the Puget Sound Repeater Group discussion group. It is a closed group but if you request membership. It's pretty easy to get in there. You answer a couple of quick questions there. We do have over a thousand members in there. And so there's a lot of good topics. We do a lot of in-person events. There's even one today over at Green Lake Park. So this is a very friendly group of people. We have, how do you say, we have new hams, old hams, seasoned hams, black forest hams. We've got it all. So yeah, if you're looking for those elmers. You definitely are in the right place. So yeah, when you check in the first time you were just barely hitting the repeater. So I'm not sure what equipment you have. But hopefully you can get that battery charged. And if you have an antenna you can hook up. We do have a lot of people over on the peninsula. You know, Paulsboro, Bremerton. Even, what is that, oh, Kingston, like over there. We have a lot of people over on that side of the ladder as well. So definitely welcome, welcome. I hope to catch you down the log here, Javier. And good luck working on that plane this week. All right. Oh yeah, so sorry. One thing that we ask, it's kind of an FCC format. Actually, let me reset. Sorry, you're taking a really long time there. One thing that we ask, and it keeps the FCC happy. And it notifies to me that you're done with your transmission. Is that you close with your call sign. So let me just send it back to you. Let me know what kind of radio that you are using. And how you're trying to make it into the net with RF. And then just close with your call sign. Back to you, Javier, real quick. Yes, sir. So I was just trying with my FP5, my GASU FP5. I was just trying with that. Like I said, I just got it a few days ago. I'm in programming channels, setting up tones, offsets and everything. Even though the GASU does a lot of the work for you. But actually, yeah, I'm just looking forward. And people are looking forward to it. I'm just looking forward. And keep learning and keep learning. And I appreciate for that. And back to you, the control. This is Kilo Mike 7, Alpha Quebec November. Have a good night. Yeah, you stood to be in. Total BN. All right. Very good. Thank you for that report. I hope to catch you down the log there. All right. I am Brian KE7KZH, the 69 o'clock net. And I am the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. There's a long list here. So if you're waiting to check in, just hold off a few more minutes. I'm going to read a few announcements. Let me reset. So I do pull these announcements over from that Facebook PSRG discussion group that I mentioned just a little bit ago. Jack KI7RMU keeps a pinned topic. So if you click under, if you're in the group and you click on the featured, it will be right at the top there. So if you miss anything I'm about to say, just head on over there for more details. The first thing here, every Saturday, we have a couple of recurring events. The first one is the Radio Club of Tacoma has their open house. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. club members and their guests and visitors are all welcome. The other thing that happens Saturday evening is the Simplex net. This is in the Puget Sound area here. So at 8 p.m. every Saturday on 146.56 we do a Simplex net. It's really cool to be able to see who you can talk to with VHF without a repeater in between you. The magic of radio propagation. It's very eye-opening sometimes who you can hear and talk to can hear you without that repeater. So if you haven't joined, it's a lot of fun. Check that out Saturday night 8 p.m. 146.56. We do have a swap meet coming up here. The PSARA antique radio and vintage electronics swap meet will be held up at Shoreline Community College on Sunday, August 17th, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shortly after that we do have the Wooded Boat Festival coming to Port Townsend. That will be the weekend of September 5th through 7th. We also, let's see, coming up into October. Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's getting close to October already. We do have the Tour de Forest ARA Rally. We have a lot of folks in this group that participate in the rallies. They even participate in the radio communications of the event. Or just spectating and stuff. Always a good time there. Saturday, October 4th will be that Tour de Forest ARA Rally. Let me reset. Alright, we do have, let's see, the Cascadia Radio Group will be hosting a ham connect program. This is going to be on Sunday, October 5th at 3 p.m. It is a virtual event. If you have any questions or would like more information, you can email info at SeattleEmergencyHubs.org. You can also head right over to HamConnect.org for more information. And with that, I'm just going to go ahead and say again, if you missed anything, please head over to the PSRG discussion group over on Facebook. If you missed any of those websites or dates, that will have all the information. So let's turn it back to check-ins here. I am Brian, KE7, KZH. This is Nine O'clock Net. Let's see who else is out there. All stations, please come now. Call sign and first name. Madeline, KJ7, NUW. KJ7, NUW, Madeline. And then I did hear Mike, VU, right after that. Alright, more stations, please. KE9IQX, Amy. Alright, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. KE9IQX, Amy. KE9IQX, you're number three on this round. More stations, come ahead. KJ7, KJ7. Alright, Lagoon, sorry. Can you give me your call sign? I should have it memorized one more time. KELO, KELO7, FULU, Papa Juliet. There it is. I got the Papa Juliet. I was blanking on the beginning there. KK7ZPJ, I got you. And I also did hear KG7ODB. I'm writing it down. Dean, you're on the list. More stations for Nine O'clock Net, come ahead."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-10T22:34:11+00:00","id":16034,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16033,"text":" Nothing heard, let's run this list up to the top. How are you tonight Troy? K7 TNP please give us a report. Howdy there Ben and the rest of the net is K7 TNP and how am I doing? Well I have felt better. Somehow somewhere along the lines I contracted H. pylori so I'm on three antibiotics. I have a high dose and then I have to be retested in about three weeks afterwards to see if the antibiotics work because it's very antibiotic resistant. So I haven't been feeling great but I've been going to work. And tonight my daughter Sheridan came over to me and asked me to turn on the radio because she wanted to give a report. So I did. So stand by this will be third party traffic. Sheridan give us a report. Hello I'm playing Dr. Mario right now and tomorrow mom is thinking of inviting Chris to go swimming with us and we are going to have snacks and everything. And we are going to blow up the giraffe and play with our pool basketball game. And that was Sheridan. And yeah we are going to go swimming tomorrow. We went swimming when I got home from work for a couple hours. The water was 972. It's going to be even warmer tomorrow. I'm still working on getting the pool heater fixed. But that's how it goes. Swim season is almost over so I may just tackle that problem on the next season. And we are going to spend the next couple of days because I have it off and we are going to go swimming and have some fun. That's what we have for you tonight Brian. K17B back to you. Hey very good. Enjoying that warm weather there. Although hey the weather is too nice in here playing Dr. Mario. Maybe it's too hot outside. Maybe it's better to be inside there. But thanks Sheridan for that report. Very good to hear from you. You got to get your own license there so you don't have to do the third party traffic. But time will tell there. So hey thanks Troy for doing that relay and give it a report yourself. We'll catch you down the log there. Alright next up here we have Delta Yankee 9 India Victor Zulu. How are you tonight? Please give us a report. Good evening to you our family. My father's jurisdiction. Number one, the San Juans and outside the Philippines. Good evening. I always respect and appreciate it. And I'll take care and have a good night. Good night everyone. My station the Philippines in the afternoon. We are after 13 to 15 hours. And I'm monitoring participating in the RGS. And calling for a week 7 PSR. My name is Phil Jim transmitting here in the RCP. And I have no further traffic. I will be in the 5 km of the RGS. Thank you Sir Ryan. Hey well thank you so much for joining us from the Philippines. The next person from the Philippines I'm curious if you know each other. You probably do. Anyway thanks Phil Jim. I definitely appreciate it. You have a great day there and join us anytime there. Thanks for the report. And speaking of which, Stephen how are you tonight? I guess, how are you? You probably got about your lunch break today. 4GOLF1 NYS. Stephen please give us a report. Thank you Brian. KE7 KZH. This is Pogo 1. Thank you Sarah. My name is Stephen. It is a great evening for one India. I'm here in Phong Blan, Philippines. And thanks Phil Jim, the way 9 I be said. From down south in Davao City. I'm here in Batangas City Philippines. Just 100 km south of Manila. Here in Northern Philippines. Particularly Southern Luzon Island. No further traffic. Just coming up. Thanks for the ice cream social. That's Brian. 7-3. I'll send it over to you. Hey good stuff. Maybe someday you can come and have some ice cream with us here. That would be amazing there. Hey thanks for joining us there. You have a great afternoon and we'll catch you down the log there Stephen. Alright next up is half of our Wednesday 9 o'clock net for the PM duo here. And it sounds like festivities today at the ice cream social. So Brooks how are you tonight? K9 BDC please give us a report. Well good evening Brian and everyone on the net. K9 BDC Brooks here in Newcastle. Oh it was a great day today. Busy day today. We got up and the guy showed up that was going to finish painting my office. And then we got him all set up and ready to go. And then we headed out to the Rain or Shine which I think had a great turnout. It was great to see everybody. The ice cream was good. The company was even better."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-11T21:58:57+00:00","id":16276,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16275,"text":" I thought you called me to the station before me. But, in fact, I started talking and I said, hmm, maybe not. But anyway, um, good evening, Ms. Shorter, thank you for running the vet. You know, you do it so well and professionally. You know, by proper etiquette and everything. Anyway, um, my eye surgery for this Saturday was cancelled. By not me, but somebody. So anyway, I'm getting it done on September 5th. My left eye. In October 3rd, my right eye. Hopefully, by November, I'll have good eyes. So anyway, that makes it well for me because I'm taking the extra class one more time. If I don't get it this time, I'm going to stay very instinctive and general. You know, I just can't keep doing this, you know. But anyway, I was sleeping. I woke up and I saw it was time to talk on the best diet in the world. So I went up and called the nurse and said, how do you get this mask off? So I can talk. So Ms. Jones, you have a wonderful night and a better tomorrow. This is Casey 2, SDO. That thing had control. Over. Well, Charlie, I know that you, I think you had mentioned that you wanted to have an extra so you could be a VE and be able to administer all license classes. But you still can be a VE with a general, although you can only be a volunteer examiner folks for technician class license. But that's most of the license applications. You know, that's still, I don't know what your club or your VE group is like. But you know, having, you know, be able to have extra help, you know, doing the volume of tech licensees is still useful. And of course, you get more privileges with an extra class or even my advanced class. But it's really a flex because you get most of the privileges with a general class license. You just can't get just a few corners of the HF bands. But you know, I always recommend that people get their general class license because that gives you most of the privileges with amateur radio. You know, you're not restricted to, you know, just a few tokens and pieces of HF. And you know, if people stop in general, there's, one of my brothers is a general. Clay went and flexed and got his extra class. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with general class license. That's the name of the license, the general class license. You know, I would love to see more people get their general. You know, and more people don't. Most people just have the technician class, the basic license. What's going on has got to be... Oh yeah, they do. Just one eye at a time because, you know, the success rate is good on those eye operations. But you do want to do both eyes at the same time because in case something goes wrong, you don't want to lose both of them. Steve, Mr. Charlie, I will get you to that point. And last on the list is Joel, KK7ZBX. Joe, please give us your report. Joel Willis. So I was returning from a visit to San Diego. My wife and I went down to visit our daughter. And so a happy pet note, they have a new dog and this dog is awesome. They love him. My daughter and her boyfriend love that dog so I think we know. Yeah, it was really nice. They had a little warm. Not a bad day but the Pacific down there is 70F. They can jump in there and survive with a wetsuit and it would be awesome to kind of ride the surf a little bit. And I'm not going to go without hypothermia. And flying back here, it was warmer when we landed here on Sunday. It was good to be back. So I wanted to test the HD, make sure it's towards. And nobody else is out on. And thanks, Joan. Back to net control, KK7ZBX. Fine business, Joel. Yeah, San Diego. Visit your daughter and her bow and their dog. Wetsuit surfing. You know, I know from my reading that San Diego is, surfing is immensely popular there. And if you are wetsuit surfing, believe it or not, and I witnessed it when I lived in the Amber Peninsula, but people will surf on Lake Superior. In Marquette, Michigan, there were a number of dedicated wetsuit surfers. In fact, I've even heard of people surfing in a surprise suit. That's how cold Lake Superior is. So, anyway, thank you for that excellent report, Joel. And I will catch you on the walk. Operator 15, report number 12. Alright, so, let's see, I'm going to start a third round. This is Joel KX2CW in Seattle, Washington, on Broadway Avenue. In Capitol Hill, which is the most urban neighborhood in Seattle there is. And perched in the, looking out of my window from what I have sometimes called the Capitol Hill Behavioral Observatory. Uh oh, sirens. Sirens, where are they going? So, I'm going to take some more check-ins, if I can hear them. The sirens, are they going to come by? I'm going to try to listen through them. Okay, all stations, please. Kilo Bravo 7 Sierra Delta Mike Ryan, in and out. Alright, Kilo Bravo 7 Sierra Delta Mike Ryan, I-O, I've got your I-O, thank you. Let me know that you're out there. Um, more stations, please. That's Derek of Monroe. Alright, Derek of Monroe, I'm right down in. And all I heard was a 7 and there's a doubling station. But, uh, I'm, I'm scribbling. And, uh, who was the station that was doubling with Derek? Alpha Gold 7 Lima Romeo Cody with an I-O. Hey there, Cody, I've got your I-O, your station 18 in the log. Thank you for stopping by. More stations, please. K-E 7 KZH Bryan. Bryan, sorry that you didn't come to the Rain or Shine Ice Cream Social in Green Lake, but I'm just glad you're out there. Folks, Bryan, as many know, is our Sunday night set control operator. Alright, um, more stations, please. KF 5 WYB, her, now with the exits. Suburb! Alright, DX for statement. Oh, Galveston, I'm always hearing Glenn Campbell singing that whenever I hear you say it. Alright, um, more stations, please. Kilo 7 Charlie here at Gulf, Bryan with an R, I-O. Alright, uh, different Ryan with an R. KK 7 CSG, alright. Um, I've got your I-O, Ryan. And you're, I didn't look at the border scope as you were giving your report, but, uh, you were noisy. And it was, uh, your, your voice was about commensurate with the noise, but it was, uh, reliable copy. Take care, Ryan. More stations, please."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-11T22:14:19+00:00","id":16278,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16277,"text":" Okay, I'll stop there. Go back to the top to the IO from KB7SDM, Ryan. Thank you for stopping by. And now, Derek Monroe. I know I could write your call sign down, but I'm going to wait for you to say it again before I actually fill it in because it's a formal way of doing it. So Derek Monroe and Amy Prime is somewhere around there, I'm assuming still. So please give us your report. One of the goals you've been doing and the net is to get the UX Derek out here in Monroe. And yes, Amy Prime, she's inside right now. I'm not sure what she's doing. I am outside roasting coffee and have not been on the radio much this summer. I have been out and about quite a bit. According to my, I've been doing one of off-road exploring. And so according to my, and by off-road, I don't mean necessarily strictly off-road, but more Forest Service roads, some true off-road, some trails, things like that. According to my app, last I checked, I had driven close to 600 miles off-road. We put another 10,000 feet in the north, and west of Lake Wenatchee out in the woods there. And yeah, that's kind of what I've been up to. Tonight I'm just roasting coffee. And if I'm out roasting coffee and it is your net, as it often is, I always seem to run out on Monday or Tuesday, and I like to try and check in if I can. So everyone's doing well. I'll keep my computer off, keep it up there with my grandparents in Europe right now, and talk about the engine and the rain checks. I don't like to share too much detail about my kids. But that is an exciting thing that I'm sure they want everybody to know about their first trip to Europe, first trip really anywhere outside of the US or Canada. So I'm happy for them. And that's all I've got. It's 7UX. Back to net. Well, I agree that it's probably quite prudent to not give out too many details about your children. But I find this the first trip to the EU, to Europe. And what about the road from the hills down here? Oh, yes, roasting coffee. I used to do that with a former partner, whose name I won't necessarily mention, quite some time ago in the early 80s. And she was a good influence on me because I just had come back from Italy, Italia in the Navy, where I discovered real coffee. And Italians don't have the best coffee in Europe right now. They're kind of resting on their laurels. But at the time, I had only had upper Midwestern coffee. And I was like, wow, this is coffee. And then I came back to the land of no coffee in 1982. And then in 1988, so it was late 80s, I hooked up with this person. And she roasted her own green coffee beans. She ordered back then, mail order. Remember before the internet, folks? It was mail order. And she would roast it in our oven. And we had a little house together, an apartment. But I guess it was the whole building in the Hubble, Michigan, which is in the Quiron Peninsula, which is the Upper Peninsula's Upper Peninsula. And when she roasted the coffee, you could smell it for miles around. People would come over. There's a farmer who, whenever she roasted the coffee in the oven, he would drive his tractor to our house. And snow blow. With a big power take off, big triple water power take off snow blower on the back of his tractor. And he would snow blow our driveway. And then he'd get off the tractor, leave it idling, I think, and walk in, knock on the door. We were ready for him. He got to have some of the coffee. Oh, dear. So these are the things that go through my mind. And also 33 to 80 prime with radio wave. Thank you AF7UX, Derek Monroe for your report. All righty. Let's move right along. And Cody was my own. And that brings us to Brian, KE7KZH. Brian, please give us your report. Hey, good evening, Joan and the rest of the net, KE7KZH. Brian in Marysville. I don't have a heck of a lot to report. I actually went into the office today. I don't do that a heck of a lot. And officially, I'm almost resigned to not go into the office knowing that my company will have a return to office mandate starting in January. So for the next five months, I'm going to try to go in as little as possible knowing that I'll be forced back in. So I'm going to take advantage of what I can and not have to do a 41 mile trip each way into the office for as long as I can. Anyway, yeah, so I'm going to make the ice cream social. It sounded like a lot of fun yesterday. But I've got this gig coming up Saturday. And there's a bunch of music to learn plus converted law coming into town. And we just pitched getting the garage remodeled. So I got my office set up in there so I can work. Although I guess I won't matter as much once I have to go back into the office. But so it goes. Probably had something else fun to say. But I'll just send it back. Thanks for running into that, Joan. 88 to you, 33 to all, KV7, KZH, back set. Well, 88 to you and Jennifer, and a 33 to Jennifer. And yes, I remember you. Last night you were explaining some of the particulars of your gig. And as a television, I'm not gigging now. Not since I've been away just a little bit. But before I came to Seattle, I was actually getting paid gigs a couple of weeks and stuff. And I kind of dropped that. And I'm very occasional now. But I can relate to it. And I actually, I don't know of anyone else, but I enjoyed the details that you were going into when you gave your report last night. And what else did I write down here? I wrote this one a little much. Oh yeah, 41 miles one way trip to the office. You know? Well, let's use up more petroleum and coal, I guess. I think that's the idea. Never mind. I better stop. Take care, Brian. And I will see you eventually again. And by the time I see you, we'll have gone along here to beauty again. Who knows? I don't know. All right. Next on the list is Herb in Galveston, Texas, KF5WYB. This is your friend Joan, KX2CW, asking for you, Herb. Please tighten. Hello? Well, hello, friend Joan and everyone on the net. You were telling me, you mentioned your brother, but played in a Chicago tribute band, and that kind of brought back memories. I was in my high school band. I played baritone horn. I played trumpet and a lot of music. A lot of music we played in football season with Chicago. And I was always with a big band in Chicago. Never saw them in concert, but had the greatest hits CD. And I always liked those little tunes, like Beginnings, 25 to 64, 64, just you and me, Saturday in the park. And that just, they are just an awesome group. There's still church. There's a couple. There's two or three of their regional members that are still performing with them, which is cool. I've been trying to be a little less fit in here. They're actually trying to move around and do a little bit of organization around my house. It's a little slow going, but I've gotten a few things done. I've just got a lot of stuff. Mainly I got a lot of always trying to part them and actually need to sort through and figure out what I can do without. And that's a good spot, probably about 60% of what I can do without, but it's a little hard. It's sometimes a little hard to give up because you think you've got an extra wire, you've got an extra plug, a power cord. You think, well, I really don't need that. And all of a sudden you come across something that's really big. I think that power cord I got rid of would have been this big. But I'll just see how that power progresses. Beyond that, we've been having a spell of rain off and on, but it's been really hot. Thankfully, we haven't been dressed by any hurricanes this year or really serious tropical systems, and I hope it stays that way. But that's basically all I've got going. So that's all I've got tonight. Thanks for hosting the Net Show. And always good to hear from you, 73K. This is Houston Station, Nilo Q07, November, Quebec, November. All Star, Node 6222, located in Sheets, Washington. Well, fine business, Herb. And I'm trying to, again, I'm trying to, I don't have my strong reading glasses on. That's what's going on. I have got like just some like 1 and 1 half diopters on, which are good for like just reading off of a screen. But I'm trying to read my scribbles on a pencil and paper. And I tend to write really small. I'm like David Byrne. I found out that David Byrne also does that. He writes really small. So it can fit in double lines. In fact, basically, I've got regular college rule notebook paper that I score out as a log sheet. And I resort with some people to writing like two lines of text in one line. So you can imagine, and not even regular, like high school notebook paper, but the skinnier rule stuff. So that's what I'm trying to, but now I've got my 2 and 1 quarter diopter reading glasses on. Brother played. Oh, about my brother playing in a Chicago tribute band. Yeah, he plays strombo. And he's got a bachelor of music composition, a BFA in music composition. He started his band. And they played Chicago, mostly Chicago. And Chicago was difficult. They're not easy songs. He was scored out by hand."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":0.8236373315254847,"created_at":"2026-06-29T05:58:58.228093+00:00","id":130076,"node_number":"683211","recording_id":130332,"text":"book. We have been running these nine o'clock nets for well over 30 years and of course we have the daily new nets as well. So it's a good chance to test your radio equipment. Remember if you don't test your equipment we can't hear you. So with that I will officially close the net here at 10 29 p.m. Pacific time and we turn it back to regular repeater use with an after net here between Alec KF 7A ZB and hopefully Cameron Kilo Mike 7 Echo Tango Oscar. Sounds like you had some good conversations and good stuff there anyway. So hope your wife and daughters had a great time doing what they're doing there with their little getaway. Hey there, hey, I'm curious, what is your doohickey that is scraping the data there and giving you those averages back to K-E7KZ-H? So I've been getting really good at using it because I do not really know how to program. That's my big first disclaimer here. But I have been using it to really kind of get into stuff. So this one little project I have is I copied the basically the HTML for the voterscope as well as the monitor for the ulcer link and whatnot. But those in one page and then I've actually kind of the bar graph for the voterscope is always bouncing around."}]}
