I'm not sure what happened there, but your signal was barely, barely hitting the Capital Park Master, and we literally heard probably the cumulative total of half a second of, I could hear your voice just barely blipping in like three different times. Other than that, we did not catch any of your report. So let me just right away see if you dumped power or see if there's something you can change in your situation and see if I can get you to do a quick test real quick. KA9EHV, please come back if you can. This is KA9EHV, is this better? You might end a different, you're lighting up the voter scope in bright green. So okay, so I will just say this, can you repeat everything you just said? Because we literally got zero percent. So Anne, please give us a report. Okay, I stand humiliated. This is KA9EHV, what I said is I went to a harp circle today and it was great fun, there were lots of neat people and neat harps there, and people played a lot of interesting repertoire. It wasn't like the last circle where everybody else played beautiful Celtic, very ornamented stuff. And I came in with It's Too Late by Carole King and Cats of the Cradle by Harry Chapin. This time people played everything from Broadway show tunes to some popular stuff and it was really nice. And so I ended up playing Yeasen Joann of Man's Desiring, my Beethoven mashup, and hang on a second. Okay, I'm still in there. My Beethoven mashup is a little bit different. My Beethoven mashup and my When You Walk Through a Storm from Carousel. So it was fun and I got to show off my cute little harp to people and prove that small harps are small but mighty and that was fine. Had to miss church, but apparently according to my husband I didn't miss much, so that's fine also. Anyway, that's about it for now. 73, 33, 88 to all of you. This is, I love you all and thanks, Brian, to you for doing the net. This is KA9H, be back to net. Good stuff and good signal there. So it sounds like maybe you bumped the power or something was going on there. All right, well very glad that you're okay as you're able to come in and give a lovely report there. So it sounds fun with that harp circle, Broadway tunes and pop music, that sounds fantastic. And then you with your Izu and your Beethoven mashup and small but mighty I wrote down. And then I wrote the quote from your husband, didn't miss much. All right, I just chuckled at that. All right, anyway, it sounds like a great day and thank you for sharing. We'll catch you down the log there, Ann. All right, that was the bottom of the list there. I am Brian, KE7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock net on the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. Let's open this up to all stations. I will acknowledge each station one at a time. So if you hear someone else giving their call sign, please, please wait for me to acknowledge them. Otherwise I may double with you. And then that just wastes everyone's time. So all right, that's it. All stations, please come now. Call sign and first name. 7L, your family experience will go double for you, Mike. Robert with... ...Juliet 7, Romeo Alpha Bravo, hey! All right, I think I may have actually had a triple there, but I did get W7LCO, Josh, Willco. I also got KJ7JXM, Robert, and KJ7RAB, Kimmy. Now let me just check, was there a third station, or fourth, if you say, was there another station in that mix that I did not acknowledge? Yeah, probably me, I might have been in that pileup. Wolf. All right, I heard a K, and then I heard Sean, KJ7EXM. Sean Wolf. Who was the other K station that keyed up? KJ7, with Lueckenia, Matt, Liven, RF, All-Star Note 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. Matt is back in RF land. I love it, KJ7WQI. All right, good stuff. All right, so I actually have you right before Sean, because I did hear your key up first there, and I already wrote a K. All right, so let's see who else is out, who would like to get in on this round. Please come now, call sign and first name. Kilo Alpha, Joseph Romeo Alpha, Cody, your IO. All right, KE6RAX, Peter, I've got your IO. Cody, just wanted to double check, Alpha, Golf 7, Lima, Rodeo, did you say IO, or do you have a report tonight? I am IO, KJ7LR. Hey, good stuff. Remember, there's a double, I try to confirm. Every time I don't confirm that, it bites me. All right, good stuff, Cody. We'll catch you down the log, and thanks for stopping by, Peter, KK6RAX. Let's start with Peter, Kilo Echo Six, Romeo Alpha X-ray, how much you report? I see Peter was an IO. Thank you for your IO, Peter. Gotta want to read what I wrote down. Next we've got Ann, KA9 EHV. How's things going with you today, Ann? Well, good evening. Ann, thanks so much for running the net, and good evening to the rest of the net. This is KA9 EHV, Ann in Seattle. Well, things are going all right with me. I went to church this morning. I had one of the more vivid experiences I've ever had when I listened to a sermon and had a complete outline of the book. And had a complete outline in my head for a completely alternate sermon on the same lessons. Which is always a little frustrating. It's not that I disagree with what the actual preacher said. That has nothing to do with it. It's just that sometimes these outlines just sort of pop in and makes me think I'm on a podcast or something. The subject had to do with how to be rich towards each other and towards God. How, in other words, how to share freely and abundantly no matter what you think you have or don't have. And I find the message, however, in whatever form it is talked about to be unbelievably valuable for today's environment. And I had gone on with thinking about outlining it and telling stories of the different kinds of tippers that I see as a street musician. Because each of them share with me in a different way. And they all contribute to the experience. And even the ones who don't, but nonetheless talk to me or engage with me or simply walk by and I can tell they're listening. Gosh, you know, there's tons of people like that. And it's always interesting to just kind of find out who's doing what. So anyway, that's wrapping up to getting ready for Worldcon and so that's all happening. And yeah, life is going on. Played a little bit of harp today and working on a song where the accidental, the lever changes are horrible, but I think I can manage it. And so that's all that's happening. Someday I'll talk about a real radio project. Hoo hoo! This is 733388. Thanks to Tim for running the net and all of you for listening. I love you all. This is KA98 feedback tonight. And you say you're sounding great tonight. So I have a question. So you're coming up with this alternate sermon in your mind concurrently with the sermon that was actually being delivered. So is this something that you have practice at? I mean, do you sometimes actually write sermons and maybe present them? Oh dear, well, I went to Wheaton College, which is Billy Graham's alma mater. And it's really hard to go to Wheaton College and not get some training in how to be a missionary and how to give a sermon. But my actual training in that area started with a charismatic renewal in the 70s. I was in high school when I started being sent out to give testimonies and so forth to fellow youth groups. And then I went to Wheaton College, which only accentuated it. And then I joined Faith Alive, which is a lay witness program, and got more training there. So I've actually had quite a little bit of training for a certain style of preaching, which I call the sort of scripture-based testimony. And it's a useful style of preaching, because it's easy to, you know, you go through the lesson, and then you go through a little bit of testimony, and then you have a call to action at the end. And it's the call to action that I like. And all of the forms of training I had actually kind of coincided in that format. This is KA98V. This town's pretty rigorous there, Anne. Rigorous training and giving you some good results. Your creativity, another outlet for your creativity. Well, I remember going to, I was raised in a Catholic church, and I remember the sermons were not my favorite part, actually. And I don't remember any calls to action, so it must be more of a denominational thing. Anyway, thank you for your report. And let us know if you ever actually get an opportunity to give a sermon. You might talk to one of them ministers there and say, hey, if they ever need a stand-in, you're available. And you can come up with one quick, I'm sure. All right, let's get some more check-ins. We have a little bit of QRM going on this evening. So let's see who we can check on, check-in, full power if you're an RF. Let's go ahead and get some check-ins. Name and call. OK, 30. OK. OK, 30. OK, 30. Can you step over me? Sorry, I doubled with that last station. The last station, come back. OK, 30. OK, 30. I'm using in funding. I didn't quite catch the call. Maybe you're a little close to the microphone, maybe a little over much. Would you do something? Just try that slowly one more time. I heard, like, conquer or some such. This is repeater station Kilo. This is Kilo Kilo, 6 ULC. Kilo Kilo, 6 ULC. I'm in the charge. I checked in the first round, and I'm easy. You can call me. OK. OK. OK. Sorry about that. The repeater operates at a frequency of 146.96 with a negative offset and a PL tone of 103.5. All licensed hams and news licensees just getting started are welcome to join. If you have third-party track, we'd love to hear from them. Two, we encourage you to press that button to tell us a little bit about yourself, your radio projects, or just about anything else. Please limit your reports to three minutes so we can get as many stations in as possible. This is also when the repeater times out. When you are finished with your report, please end with your call sign. That will keep the FCC happy. I'll be compiling lists of stations that would like to check in, and then I'll ask for your reports. If you'd like to check in only, just let me know that you'll be in and out, also known as an I-O. And so their name has become synonymous with terrible things. Even though the Grimm Brothers were writing for German middle class tastes of the day and they had actually toned down the folk tales for German middle class tastes centuries ago. Always enjoy The highlight of the week is the Monday 9 a.m. check in. And your sweet voice and the way you run your net. But I had a few minutes so I figured I'd make a couple comments. This has been, you know, August starting off to be a busy ham month. We did a push out on Saturday. Club Net tonight. Another Club Net tomorrow night. Radio Wednesday which is our Wednesday coffee get together which has been really popular and the weather has been nice so we can hold it outside. And Gary's net at night. Another ham Club Net on Friday. And then we have cake Saturday twice a month. Another coffee get together that dropped a crowd. And cake for coffee assisted knowledge exchange. We've been doing that for three or four years. And so it makes it pretty busy for August to get started off with ham activity almost every day. Well there is ham activity every day of the week. It's nice to hear everybody on Ke6rX Coffee Assisted Knowledge Exchange. I love that. Take acronym for that. Thank you for the compliment about my sweet voice. Adulcid tones. I've been accused of that. And I wrote in your remarks column I wrote aww heart. Anyway Peter thank you very much for checking in. I'm glad that Monday night is a highlight for you. And have fun down there in California. Next up is K30E Rich back in West Seattle. Please give us your report. An 88. Good evening gentlemen everyone. Well yes indeed. I'm still getting used to being on RF again. Everything sounds different. And everything responds a little differently. But it's fun because I'm back to playing around with crazy antennas. So I posted a picture and so this evening I got three reciprocating saw blades and SWR is looking good. I've checked in so it must be working. I just hope my signal is not jagged. That nobody knew I had. Um, until now, I just told you. Um, it was supposed to be August 16th. As September 5th. Well, that got postponed to September 5th and October 3rd. You know, that's when I was supposed to get the surgery. And then five days later, go back for the follow-up. Um. So, I'm doing the inpatient surgery. I'm going to consider my multiple trips to the hospital. They can't trust me. Going to an outpatient. Uh, so I'm going to be, you know, under the gas. And I'll be completely out. And, uh, approximately a ten minute surgery. Where they slice meat on the eyelid. Or the eyelids. Slide out the cataract and put the new lens in. And somehow, it magically seals itself. I don't know. Uh, if they do a little bit of liquid glue on my eyelid or what. Um, I don't know. I'll have to find out on my second visit. When they prepped me for the surgery. But, uh, other than that, I'm doing well. Uh, I'm currently in the hospital right now. Uh, dealing with a little bit of the flu. Um. CHF and pneumonia. And once I get that all situated, I can go home. I'm looking maybe like Tuesday, maybe Wednesday at the latest. So, not to let the allergies or fight me. Crimes. That's about where I stand. I don't have too much to say, but I heard earlier that somebody was mentioning they were going to mount their radio in the engine compartment. And the other one is heat under the motor and the engine compartment could kill your radio. And normally you should mount the radio like in front of your air conditioning ducts or someplace where it has good circulation because most of these new radios are real prone to heat. And he could ruin his radio. It's just something that maybe he needs to do some research on and get some better ideas. But to me that's like it might be a problem. That was my only comment for tonight, K-E-6, R-A-X."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-17T21:18:06+00:00","id":18344,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":18343,"text":" Hey, good stuff there Elaine. My rabbit is my paper shredder. I had some paper I needed shredded and I was like, you know what? I just threw them on the floor and within an hour or so they were gone. So my rabbit is my paper shredder. All right, so thanks for that report there Elaine. Glad you are keeping cool in that 98 degree heat and the humidity. And yeah, glad all is well. I'll turn on my little recorder here. I've got a bit of a reach there. Because it's the first person I'm going to check in. And this is a mid 19th century familiar 88 to both my brother Clay and my sister Reiji. I've got an extra 33 for Reiji. Clay G4 OZW, this is your sister KX2 CW. Please give us your reach. KX2 CW on the net, this is KG4 OZW and Reiji. And boy what a topic. I'm thinking of all my pets that have gone. Our furry four legged friends of the past. And we have two healthy ones now Skye and Blaze. Skye is 13, she's getting up there. And Blaze is 10. And they're both extremely healthy. You wouldn't think that Skye was 13. She acts like a puppy. Although sometimes we wonder if she's whining because she has arthritis. She was walking a little stiff the other day. So it's like oh no, starting to see signs. And Anakas was the last one that we lost. Although he wasn't euthanized. He died on his own. And it's been kind of a rough one. But yeah the topic makes me sad just thinking of the ones that we've lost over the years. And just happy for the ones that we still have and the love that they provide. And Skye is laying in her chair right now just kind of looking up at me. Probably wonders why I'm talking about her. Anyway, nothing really to report other than that. And just say hello to everyone. Hearing some familiar faces and some not so familiar ones tonight. But it's good to hear everyone in there. And hope everyone is having a good time. And we'll let it go back. Turn it back over to net control KX2CW. This is KG40Z. Rachie saying 73. Good night. Well thank you for that report. And Rachie it's good to hear you on the air. Jack who is in charge of us, you know, net control operators, has mentioned, has told me that he loves hearing you say things. Jack has sent me a message. Rachie report! Question mark, question mark, question mark. See Jack, Rachie did say hi and a few words on the air. So Rachie I just wanted you to know that many of us love to hear you when you have something to say on the radio. And let's see, Skye is 13. I didn't know the pages of your pets. And Blaze 10. And I think I remember when Abacus, I guess didn't come home. Oh no, Sean is also messaging me. See here folks, it's almost like having an IRC back channel. In this case it's on F-Center. Okay that's about the little light. Oh the critters subject. Yeah, Sean just messaged me that, uh, yeah, made some additional comments to me about the critters. Yes, we all, I think, pretty much every operator, well not every operator, I'm ready to, oh! Abacus was only 9, Clay has just mentioned. Anyway, um, I'm going to move on. I'm trying to read my writing, because I don't have enough light here. Yeah, so I'm going to move on. And Mike, um, writing things down, Mike, please give us your report. Semantics, is yours FLUDDER QRM or QRN? Don't think about it too much. Let's see, what else is there to think about? Um, my keys lost. They were in my jeans. And, um, when I got home. From, let's see, oh yeah, I got three bottles of kombucha at the Ballard Market for tomorrow's big night. The Lutheran Church with the grilled salmon. And I hope, I'll think of calling the minister at Title 8 on that for, to see if he's going to, probably, how you would think he'd be inspired to set that up in the basement. And have big band, big band, make only a big band with, Tom Rankin's in there, in fact, from the other church that I go to. He's in that group and he practices in the basement every week and I think that maybe this should go in there and practice. With us in there having our grilled salmon picnic potluck, and a step outside. And a big band playing on the east lawn back there. And the village, you can hear them just fine from, what, two blocks away from the center of the village. You know, there's usually a crowd outside the, filling around all day at the French Bakery, which is, you know, about 150 feet from the Greek restaurant. Yeah. I like the village and Lutheran Church and picnic tomorrow and in a couple more weeks the traffic will clear up and it will get more people from out the suburbs back to church. Just in time for homecoming, you know, September. Okay, so you, just, you know, I'm glad I found my keys with air-containing and there's one on my radio and one on my keys. And the key is to get to this radio. In my car this evening. Thanks, John. 7388. You know, 986. 21. Bye. KG7-3EU. Yes. The Phillips Code, which is funny, almost all of them are about commerce, but they slipped in two or three, yeah, three or more. Actually there's some more, but it's just really originally just a couple of personal messages, messages, messages that were not having to do with the business of, you know, goods and getting moved around the railroad and those are, of course, 7-3, a friendly, originally a friendly word between operators and at 8-8, which is, far predates the tribulations of the 20th century and certainly the 21st century. But in the mid-19th century that was the Phillips Code that operators who were, you know, family members usually would sneak that in and, because remember during the Civil War, the American Civil War, there were wives and daughters and other members of the family who were actually manning the wired telegraph system in many cases. Part of that, the hidden figures of the Civil War. So, let's see, moving right along here. Oh yeah, and then of course our dad stayed in a big band. And she got the Days of Morning big band, their pop star big band. But my brother Mark also formed the 33rd Street Band in Kalamazoo and they were popular gigging Chicago Tribute Band, you could call them, for about 10 years, from which he has tinnitus now. Alright, let's see, next up is Troy. Troy, please give us your report. Good evening, the rest of the net, this is K7 TMT and I am worn out, first of all, I'm still fighting off that nasty infection. I've got one more day, tomorrow was the main biotic and been spending quite a bit of time working out in the pool today, the day before. Tomorrow's going to be tortured, so I have my sister coming over and we're going to spend the day in the pool and we're going to barbeque. And also, I have some friends coming over from Worldcon, they're up here for that. And so, KS6MIX, she's a good friend of mine, said we used to do all the conventions, we actioned the dates. Like Cactuscon, Worldcon, Comiccon, because we're living in San Diego, as well as Westerncons and different things like that. It'll be great to see him again, him and my sister are actually going to go to Worldcon together. That will be fun because I haven't seen him in some odd, almost 30 years now, so it'll be great catching up with him. Maybe play a little radio while he's over here, who knows. And going to spend a little bit more time doing what we do. So, that's all I have for tonight, I'll send it back to you, Joe. P-17, please. Alright, Troy. I'm sorry about your, getting wiped out by antibiotics. But, you know, you'd rather be worn out than dead, so there's always that considered. And congratulations on meeting up again after 30 years, I can totally relate to that, I haven't seen my own family. I did finally get to, earlier this year I did finally fly to Kalamazoo and I got to see my brother Mark and Sister Kim and their kids. Because yet another one of them is getting married. And so I've just friended my new niece on Facebook when that appeared. I don't, I don't, I ignore almost all friend requests. I'm sorry if I know you in real life, I don't need to know you on Facebook. But when it comes to my new niece, I've only met for a few days and probably wouldn't see her for years. That's when I decide to, you know, friend someone on Facebook. But anyway, let's see, where am I going with this, I'm blathering. But I can relate, personally relate to your situation because I have not seen anyone else in my family for at least 25 years, probably longer than that. And some that I've never met, you know, I've never met, um, Rachie, Clay's wife. And I'm like, you know, that's, uh, I'm going to snap out of it. Okay, so, uh, Peter was, uh, K, uh, Peter K-E-6-R-A-X is an I-O. And it brings us to Charlie, KC2, uh, ST-O, uh, New Jersey. Please give us the report."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-15T21:06:17+00:00","id":16907,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16906,"text":" All right Peter you're up ke 6ra x kk7 ij said Hey good evening Rebecca and everybody I don't have a whole lot we just got back from our club and We had Ed Fong did a presentation on his antennas.
