"text": "So Uranus is one of those that you may want to get out with your binoculars and look for a little greenish dot, greenish with some pinches of blue. Towards the south, a little later in the evening, what was I going to say about Uranus? It is interesting. Take a look and compare the planets, either through binoculars or telescopes. you'll see discernible disks. They won't look like pinpoints. The stars will look like pinpoints on the planet. You'll see a discernible disk to the planet through binoculars and a scope. And this is AI-0AR net control for the Colorado astronomy net continuing on with Neptune. We've got Neptune rising about 2 PM in the afternoon. For Neptune to the south, oh about 6 or 7 p.m. by just a moon rising at 2 or 5 p.m. and Saturn rising at 2 or 4 p.m. in the afternoon. Very, very close. If you spot one, you should be able to spot the other. Neptune is in the constellation of Pisces, shining at magnitude 7.7. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you about Saturn there, sorry about that. Same goes for Saturn, around seven or eight, they're both very, Neptune and Saturn are very, very close. Saturn is in the constellation of Aquarius, shining at magnitude 0.8. Neptune, almost a solid seven magnitudes dimmer. So, 120 times dimmer than Saturn, so you'll have to challenge. Oh, another node for the magnitude scale. Every 5 magnitudes varies in brightness by a factor of 100. This is repeater station kilo kilo 7 November Quebec November all star node 6222 located in Shelton, Washington. For dwarf planets we have Ceres. Ceres will be stationary on the 27th. Ceres is rising about 3 p.m. in the afternoon so it trails Neptune and Saturn in about an hour. It will be spotted low to the south just below and east of Saturn and Neptune. Ceres is in the in the constellation of Cetus, shining at magnitude 8.3. It's got to be fairly low. So those of you who are in further southern latitudes, we'll see. We've got Pluto. Pluto will be a challenge. Pluto is setting about 9 PM this week. The best time to spot Pluto will be in the early evening, when it is highest in the sky to the southwest. And it's not going to be very high at all. Pluto is in the constellation of Capricorna shining at magnitude 15.3. As always, good luck at spotting Neptune series in Pluto. A large telescope and dark space will be needed. And right now, with the new moon coming up in a couple of days, this is the time of dark sky observing, for sure. But you'll definitely have to move well away from city lights at this spot."

"text": "Yeah, no worries, I never checked out. I was telling Bill 73 in the group message, no big deal though, no worries, things happen. Funny, I was just going to let it go, but you started talking about home ownership and the use of today and funny, I just got done watching two or three very good explanations The difference between home ownership around 1980, no, it was 1992 was the year that they used. No, 1991, I'm sorry, 1991 was the year that they used as their base compared to today. So 1991 compared to today. The median age of home, first time, the median age of first time home ownership changed From 1991, that being around the median age of 24, I believe it was, in 2025, the median age of first-time home ownership is 42. I believe they said 40 or 42. I'm 45, folks. I've owned one house in my life, no, two houses, I should say two houses, one I inherited. I've owned two houses in my lifetime. I'm currently looking to buy our final forever home. So I'm keeping a really big eye on this, just like they talked about 50-year mortgage rates, which I believe they're never going to do by the way, that would just be stupid. So anyhow, I just wanted to bring that little factoid up that it seems like the age, the median age of home ownership has completely eclipsed an entire generation going from the age of 20 to the age of 40, roughly. You know, that's crazy, isn't it, if you sit there and think about it. And I realize, and I'm sorry, Kevin, I should pay better attention. Saturdays I try to get up and do a lot of these little house tours in the morning. I did not answer your questions of the day, so I apologize. I do not eat liver, ever. I was forced to eat it as a kid, liver and onions, I absolutely hate it. I fish rip it and that's about it. However, I have a strong affection for some good chicken fried gizzards. I will eat my late and your late put together with chicken gizzards. And the best way I've ever heard of it was just on this night today. It's a chewy chicken nugget. I've never heard it put that way, but that's absolutely the truth. Okay, well with that, thanks for letting me jump back in here and I say 73's to you all. Have a great Saturday and we'll catch you on Monday when Gray hosts the Monday edition of the Calabunga Net KJ5 IRQ, I don't even know my own call phone today, sending it to VA3KKY. 73, y'all. I will save this question for next week, no worries. And make sure you're here and thanks a lot for everyone for being present today. you that make the nets if not I'd be in here talking to myself let's do it again tomorrow well let's talk to the group tomorrow and I'll be in the aisles throwing rock throwing rocks at the stage and nothing will happen to me because it's an unofficial day 7-3 y'all take care VA3KKY"

"text": " Good morning there Barbara and everybody on the net. Joe and Las Vegas. I always call myself the other Joe because Joe and I both got onto these nets and got our licenses right about the same time But he was much much more active with the Nets back then in fact. He's the guy that started the world World Radio Network. I think on the other other reflector there, so I Considered myself the other Joe There you go and now you have a whole insomnia thing I've got a hole between my flight and the time change and everything I'm still screwed up on that starting at metal it happens to me every year, and I know it even sounds silly to me but You know it really kind of zaps your energy to I'm not for a bike ride the other day and boy Just I rarely have days. I can't get the energy going and it was one of them. That's two in the last week After the net today, I plan on trying to go out for a ride We'll see how that turns out because what it's been beautiful. You know II no humidity no in clear skies just absolutely beautiful You know 80 in Pittsburgh my hometown with humidity is miserable 80 here with no humidity is nice actually when I'm cruising in the Jeep With the top off and everything 80 it's almost cool believe it or not so Good stuff, but as far as your question goes You know I do like the automation But I also it also scares me because We become so dependent on other things on automation to you know turn your coffee pot on or Vacuum your house or turn your lights on or whatever You know I get I wonder that day comes when you know the internet goes out or maybe out to an extended time And things zap out and nothing works anymore, and we're gonna be sitting there scratching our heads like gee how about what? How do I turn on the kitchen lights or how do I make coffee or how do I sweep the floor? You know we're getting so automated with everything especially cars today. You know I went to school to be a mechanic When I was young and back then you could fix a car today's world if it doesn't start there doesn't run you're helpless You've got to take them into the shop or have it towed in and they got to hook computers up to it and find out Why it's not running so? Yeah that part of it scares me so but anyway, that's it for here, and I'm sure we'll be having actual robots You know you've been kind of looking in a relatively short time so there you go so unless we just take a 7z back to you Barbara"

There was a dead key that came in at the very beginning from dewdrop so if that possibly was you, but yeah, there was a dead keen on the other gentleman came in and Richard WB 9 CSP looks like he was trying to check in I didn't hear him, but he's got a note in that thing He got stepped on must got stepped on big there But hi Richard and now maybe even put him on the list or he'd appreciate that Uh Halloween it's about time. How about that? You know in this town here people have had their Halloween stuff up for over two months now It's hard to believe the day is finally here Crazy stuff. But anyway, I went out to the river yesterday down below Hoover Dam and went kayaking with a friend of mine Absolutely beautiful day one of those days. It was just it wasn't hot wasn't cold just perfect And you know you you're in the canyon of the canyon walls there. I don't know. You know got to be done there You probably a thousand feet high so you get into the shade In the daytime, which is nice because the Sun even when it's cool can get hot But it was just so nice and the water is so clear down there. You can look down and see 30 feet to the bottom easy Yes, so nice. But what a relaxing day the bad part is, you know from by time I drove Picked him up went out there and came back. I put over 150 miles on so It wears you out I'm not as good as I once was like Toby Keith says but you gotta worry out So today I might just be taking it easy But anyway, good to hear there Roy and hope everyone has a great day and I'll be here in the background showing Las Vegas kk7c"

"text": " Good morning Roy and good morning to everybody on the net. Good morning to Joyce and Joe and I heard them I see as well. There is Barbara and everyone. So yeah it's been quite a good day here. Unfortunately I had to go to the office right enough so it was an office day. So it was quite hectic, I had to get up and get organized and be there on time. But thankfully got through it. WXY, it's not too bad, it's been 17 degrees Celsius today. A little bit overcast in the periods of rain. But tomorrow we've got a yellow weather warning for 10 degrees rain. So pretty much rain I think all day tomorrow. So we're taking it while it's dry at the moment here Roy. And other news, just looking forward to the weekend really. Maybe another quota activation. Weather permitting of course, I think maybe Sunday might be a better day. So might look to do that. But feeling that the FPXF, I like to bring it downstairs and work radio from the kitchen. Just for a change of scene. Because I stay most of the week up here in the shack. Because it's really been the shack, it's also the home office. And sometimes it's the weekend, I'm like I don't want to sit there all weekend. So I move rooms and it's nice to be right down in our kitchen. We've got nice patio doors and things. So that might be an option. And then I'm just looking at HF at the moment. And it's actually not too bad, I think it might be quite a good thing that HF is real there. And yeah, Missy, I'm not too sure if you've got the results back. But I'm curious to know if you've got Linda's test results back there on the tissue that you had. Fingers crossed, all is well. And Roy, thank you for letting me check in. Really appreciate it, as always. And I'll hand the microphone back to you."
