Good stuff. Well Deccan, you take care and enjoy keeping on driving there and everything else. I'm glad the lessons are going well. And you know, it just gives you, I just was so anxious when I was 17 to get my driving license, I have to say. So I kind of did a fast track and got in there and thankfully managed to pass it first time. So I was so, so pleased. But anyway, there you go. But thank you so much, Deccan. Please have yourself a wonderful weekend. Good to hear Dave in the background there. Of course, Dave will be doing the control duties as part two. But good to know he's there and his voice is sounding good. Hi Dave. So Deccan, you take care. Have a great weekend. Stay safe. Stay well. And Deccan, we'll talk to you again soon. Maybe have to go back and just see is that the shortest first day check-in ever, ever, ever? Maybe not in the early days, but certainly towards the later. So there we go. There it is everybody. That's fine though. That's okay. Anybody else wants a check-in? We will be going for another round of check-ins soon, but not quite yet because on the list we do have in reverse order a couple of eight-window check-ins from early doors. KC8, FTV, our friend Mark out there in Ohio. Hi Mark. You're on the list. Our friend Paul out there in Enfield, Maine. KC1, VQS, Paul. You're on the list. Well you know when you're working with these radios and getting them programmed and set up and everything else, and you know in the, well I suppose in the days gone by I've kind of just relied on myself just programming the radio direct, using the radio and the buttons and the knobs and everything else. But over the years I've got much more reliance, much more reliant on using the software, the programming software to, I don't do much updates, I don't really do firmware updates unless it's absolutely necessary but certainly the program and the frequencies and this and that and all the parameters. So I find it much easier now on the computer. But it does mean sometimes, and I had a recent experience of it, I went back to an older radio, one of my older YESUs, the FT-1XD, and they tried to do something just using the keyboard on the radio and I'd forgotten entirely how to do it. I was trying to program a couple of different bits and pieces and change things. And I ended up just plugging it into the computer, getting the software off and just doing it. Because I'd actually forgotten. Of course once I did that I remembered, I now remember what I had to do. So there we go. But these things are trying to try us there Mark. And hey listen, we're learning all the time. Sometimes we're forgetting all the time as well. That's the issue I have. Anyway Mark, thanks so much. And I think you mentioned a good idea with your aunt and another family member and going somewhere to eat. So I'm just being nosy now. I'm still being nosy. So Mark, where are you going to eat sir? We'd love to hear about all our members and people that are participating, and people out there. We just love things. So I've been encouraging people to go onto the International Radio Network Facebook page and put up a little bit more. And you know obviously things about radio is always, always welcome. But for regulars we like to just kind of \u2013 well I suppose it's just the nosiness. So anything at all, and especially critters, stories and pictures and videos. Yeah, critters why not? But anyway, in the meantime I'll say thank you so much Mark. I do take care of my friend. Thanks for taking the time to stop by today. I really appreciate that. Have a great weekend. Enjoy your outing with your family there. And please stay safe, stay well. We'll say 73 at the KC8FTV. And we've spoken to Ken from Douglas in an outboard from Scotland here. About 40 miles south of that tub of Lake Erie water. And yeah, well I typed in the screen in case you didn't want to have a train wreck. That sometimes let the nuts become a train wreck. But everything's going good here. It's pretty warm out up here in Ohio. We're in this, I think we're about 65 degrees. So everything else is going good. I just wanted to stop by here. Yeah, the Five Hill Group out in Texas got a net going. I checked in there with them. And you guys got the net here going. Yeah, I wanted to get in early because if you don't get on the list early you're going to wait a little while until you get through the pile. You know, it's sort of like if you ever go to a deli, you know, or a place where they give you a number, you know, when you do your driver's license, any place where you go and have to wait your turn to go to a window. You walk into the area and you grab that number out of that dispenser. It sits there. You yank a ticket off it, have a number and they just call it out when they get to it. And you know, I don't know exactly how they, I guess they must look at the number that is presently there. I don't know how they, you know, well I guess they just keep looking at, well they just keep going and they know the next, the first number they call, they just keep marking them down. So, they just have a paper, they must just mark the number down that they called, take it and if there's two people doing the work behind the counter, they just go and look at the paper and see what was the last number written down and then they call the next sequential number that would get written down and call that number and say, your time to be served number and whatever it would be. And then someone else goes over, two or three people, they just go over and look at the bottom of that paper and say, oh, I'm going to write this number down so that's the one I call. So, that's the way you guys do it over here. You know, you just get a whole list of call-ins and check-ins and call signs and names and that's the way you do it. Yeah, they, I don't know, you guys asking about the, how you control the network, might have been over on the Five Hill group, they're doing a net now too. Yeah, it gets crazy when you start doing multiple nets and, you know, like stopping by nets, you know, I record them not being multiple but you know what, there is probably a ton of nets running right now around the world. So yeah, I know there's some people that just tune out, well that's fine, if they want to tune out, well that's fine with me because you know what, I just tune them out too sometimes. So there's that dial and buttons that we have on the radio and different things. So there we go. So I don't normally like to say it that way but that's what I do because other people treat me that way. So you treat me that way, guess what, I return the same treatment. So I'll send it back to NetControl. Can you see that up to here?"},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-10-24T14:34:29+00:00","id":67959,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":67958,"text":" KCA, FKV from GMZ, though you be well. I'm not too sure. But of course, over here in Scotland, we do have several, well, in the UK, these old steam engines that do various bits and pieces. And we do Thomas the Tank Engine kind of rides. And Santa rides all the steam trains. Absolutely wonderful. And as you say, if you've got kind of a large incline, maybe a couple of engines, a couple of steam engines have to kind of get hooked up there to bring you up a big hill. I wonder if that's the case. But anyway, Mark, thank you, thank you so much. And I'm just aware of the time. So Mark, I'm going to say 73 to you in the meantime. But of course, there is a part two here with our friend Dave, GWS Dell. So please feel free to recheck. And they speak to Dave and they give him any more information. But yeah, I really do like steam engines, that's for sure. I wonder what that's all about over there, what you're talking about. But anyway, Mark, thank you, thank you so much. We went down there, we got down in West Virginia to go camping because we were going to go canoeing. And we went and set the tent up. And there were some important fools we didn't have, I recall. So we went and camped, we went and stayed in the motel. And this motel, you barely could get the car off the road. And there was the motel room. And if you looked out the back window, there was the railroad tracks. And just beyond the railroad tracks is the river. So, that was an interesting trip we had that year. We went down to the New River, I think that was when we went down to the New River in West Virginia. So, that's the only bad weather storm. We got the gist of it. Well, you know, you say G5, we say 5G. There are some areas across here in Scotland that are pretty solid with the old 5G signal, but there are others that are in between 5G and 4G. 3G is still available in some places, but they're certainly getting rid of that. But yeah, you have all the equipment that's available and able to connect. But if you're not in the proper area that can connect to 5G, then you just have to rely on 4. To me, you had a lot of dropouts. Here you're going to, I think it's called the Eagle, and it's a pop and growl place. So sounds good, sounds good. Well, do enjoy their work, but yeah, there's lots and lots of dropouts after that, so I'm hoping it's not my end here. So I did have issues for a week while the Alaska morning mate earlier, but so did Roy with others, so I don't know what was happening there. So maybe it's the weather, maybe it's something else. But anyway, Mark, I think that was what you said to go into the Eagle pop and growl there. So let's go and find out if the connection is now kind of a bit more reestablished. Mark, I did not hear, apart from that, I didn't hear anything else. So let's try it again, KC8FTV. This is GM0 UUD control for identity. Mark, back to you, sir, one final time."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-26T13:26:54+00:00","id":47138,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":47137,"text":" Well, thank you so much, Declan. That I am very happy about. I mean, it's always good to have a laugh, that's for sure. And yeah, you know, I suppose hitting the apex of the corner and the right and taking the racing line, you know, maybe, maybe even at 20 miles per hour or 30 miles per hour, you might save some fuel if you just take the racing line. Hi, hi. Anyway, no problem at all. Declan, you take care, my friend. Have a wonderful weekend and it's always good to talk to you, sir. So just take care, have a good weekend, stay safe, stay well. And Declan, we'll speak to you again very soon. We'll say 73 to 2, whiskey zero Q. Well, Yankee Hotel, and let's say a big hello and happy Friday to KC8FTV. That's Mark. And talking about doing dangerous things like Formula 1. Oh, Mark was out on to these amusement parks and everything else. I believe he was at Cedar Point. I'm not too sure. But anyway, Mark can tell us all about it. KC8FTV. Welcome, sir. The mic is yours."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-29T14:26:05+00:00","id":27519,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":27518,"text":" Well, thank you so much, Mark. It's always appreciated you taking the time to stop by on the IRM KV-1 Multimodulator. It really is. Well, you take care. I'm so, so glad you managed to do that. It's always good to hear from you, always. So, thank you so much, Mark. And you take care. Please, Mark, have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, stay well. We'll say 7 to 3 to KC8FTV. And with that, we're going to go and speak to our friends, Scott and, of course, maybe some third-party traffic. I'm not too sure. I don't want to anticipate anything, just in case. Anyway, we're going to go and see what's happening out there with Scott in Memphis, Tennessee. That's KY4-NB. Scott, welcome, sir. Happy Friday. And make good years, Gwen. Great Scott."}]}
